Application of equivalent resistance to simplification of Sutong Bridge piers in tidal river section modeling

This paper describes some details and procedural steps in the equivalent resistance (E-R) method for simplifying the pier group of the Sutong Bridge, which is located on the tidal reach of the lower Yangtze River, in Jiangsu Province. Using a two-dimensional tidal current numerical model, three different models were established: the non-bridge pier model, original bridge pier model, and simplified bridge pier model. The difference in hydrodynamic parameters, including water level, velocity, and diversion ratio, as well as time efficiency between these three models is discussed in detail. The results show that simplifying the pier group using the E-R method influences the water level and velocity near the piers, but has no influence on the diversion ratio of each cross-section of the Xuliujing reach located in the lower Yangtze River. Furthermore, the simplified bridge pier model takes half the calculation time that the original bridge pier model needs. Thus, it is concluded that the E-R method can be use to simplify bridge piers in tidal river section modeling reasonably and efficiently. 展开更多

Then, the main attention is primarily paid to spatial and factor approaches for modeling cross-sectional dependence for both linear and nonlinear (nonparametric and semiparametric) panel data models. Based on the traditional Nielsen model,a unified failure model on the uniformly reinforced concrete box section members under combined forces was introduced by Luo and Liu.One of their contributions is adjustment of the shear carrying capacity of concrete at the member failure surface.In the unified failure model,the comparison with the experimental results verified this adjustment.Nevertheless,it should be pointed out that the adjustment factor of shear carrying capacity at member failure surface for the reinforced concrete members in the unified failure model is a fixed adjustment constant for all experiment data,which is basically determined by curve fitting.However,the adjustment factor should vary with the normal stress at the member failure surface.In this paper,an advanced theoretical model is introduced,in which the adjustment factor of shear carrying capacity at failure surface is a variable related to the normal stress at failure surface.Furthermore,the advanced unified failure model on the uniformly reinforced concrete box section member can still be expressed in a simple form.Finally,the comparison with several groups of test data has verified that this advanced model is more accurate and feasible to be used in design. 展开更多

We studied the structure of 12 C through the modified Glauber model using the density distributions calculated by the relativistic mean field theory. The experimental reaction cross sections of 12 C + 12 C were analyzed within the MOL by a χ 2 -fitting procedure. The effects of the nuclear deformation on the reaction cross sections are studied. The reliable structure of 12 C is deduced. The studies show that the conjunction of these two models will be a more effective tool to study the properties of nuclei. 展开更多

It is important to note that this paper does not consider alternative forms of spatial lag dependence other than SAE. This paper introduces a practical solving scheme of gradetransition trajectory optimization(GTTO) problems under typical certificate-checking–updating framework. Due to complicated kinetics of polymerization,differential/algebraic equations(DAEs) always cause great computational burden and system non-linearity usually makes GTTO non-convex bearing multiple optima. Therefore, coupled with the three-stage decomposition model, a three-section algorithm of dynamic programming(TSDP) is proposed based on the general iteration mechanism of iterative programming(IDP) and incorporated with adaptivegrid allocation scheme and heuristic modifications. The algorithm iteratively performs dynamic programming with heuristic modifications under constant calculation loads and adaptively allocates the valued computational resources to the regions that can further improve the optimality under the guidance of local error estimates. TSDP is finally compared with IDP and interior point method(IP) to verify its efficiency of computation. 展开更多

基于细观结构与集成学习的岩石可钻性智能预测方法

岩石可钻性作为衡量岩石破碎难易程度的重要指标,对指导钻探活动及开采深部底层具有重要意义。微钻法等常见的物理测定法,存在数据获取成本高、效率低及专业依赖度高等问题,现有研究中的数值预测法参数有限、精度较低。岩石细观结构在... 岩石可钻性作为衡量岩石破碎难易程度的重要指标,对指导钻探活动及开采深部底层具有重要意义。微钻法等常见的物理测定法,存在数据获取成本高、效率低及专业依赖度高等问题,现有研究中的数值预测法参数有限、精度较低。岩石细观结构在揭示岩石物理化学特性时发挥着重要作用,其与岩石力学参数如岩石可钻性有密切关系。为解决现有方法测定岩石可钻性的局限性,本文基于岩石学提出涵盖21个细观结构参数的岩石薄片颗粒特征集,并通过图像学与深度学习方法构建细观结构参数计算模型,通过Pearson、PCA分析方法实现特征优选,利用集成学习Stacking策略建立岩石可钻性预测模型。结果表明:①研究样本的岩石颗粒细观结构表征与可钻性呈现出较明显相关性,其中颗粒最短轴方差与面积标准差与岩石可钻性相关性最高,分别达0.42、0.37;②集成学习优化的融合模型预测能力最佳,E_(MAPE)、APE误差仅为14.1%、12.6%,较最优基准单模型分别降低4.7%、2.5%;③所提出方法能够提高测定可钻性效率,在1 min之内即可完成整个薄片细观结构计算及岩石可钻性预测;④本文模型可通过进一步扩充样本多样性,以提升在不同岩石细观特征下的可钻性识别性能。本文提供的岩石可钻性智能化评价方法,有效地揭示了细观结构与可钻性之间的关系,可为实时钻井工具选择和钻井参数优化提供高效支撑。 展开更多

On the basis of the present situation of calculation of penalty for delay of the bidding section construction period with the critical path method, we studied the effects of contractor-induced delay of the bidding section construction period in detail, including the effects on the construction period of the bidding section itself, the earliest start times of the next bidding section and other subsequent bidding sections, and the construction period of the program, and then constructed a penalty model for delay of the bidding section construction period from the perspective of programs. Using the penalty model, we conducted a practical analysis of penalty for delay of the construction period of the Baoying station program in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. We demonstrate a new technique for calculating proton-proton inelastic cross-section, which allows one by application of the Laplace' method replace the integrand in the integral for the scattering amplitude in the vicinity of the maximum point by expression of Gaussian type. This, in turn, allows us to overcome the computational difficulties for the calculation of the integrals expressing the cross section to sufficiently large numbers of particles. We have managed to overcome these problems in calculating the proton-proton inelastic cross-section for production (n ≤ 8) number of secondary particles in within the framework of φ3 model. As the result the obtained dependence of inelastic cross-section and total scattering cross-section on the energy √s are qualitative agrees with the experimental data. Such description of total cross-section behavior differs considerably from existing now description, where reggeons exchange with the intercept greater than unity is considered. 展开更多

We demonstrate a possibility of computation of inelastic scattering cross-section in a multi-peripheral model by application of the Laplace method to multidimensional integral over the domain of physical process. Founded the constrained maximum point of scattering cross-section integral under condition of the energy-momentum conservation. The integrand is substituted for an expression of Gaussian type in the neighborhood of this point. It made possible to compute this integral numerically. The paper has two parts. The hunting procedure of the constrained maximum point is considered and the properties of this maximum point are discussed in the given part of the paper. It is shown that virtuality of all internal lines of the “comb” diagram reduced at the constrained maximum point with energy growth. In the second part of the paper we give some the arguments in favor of consideration of the mechanism of virtuality reduction as the mechanism of the total hadron scattering cross-section growth, which is not taken into account within the framework of Regge theory. 展开更多

分析渭河流域陕西段2012—2021年水安全、水资源、生态健康、水质环境、水经济、水文化相关数据,以评价该流域的可持续性,为流域水资源管理与高质量发展提供科学依据。综合考虑流域实际情况与发展需求,选取涵盖上述6个维度的22项评价指... 分析渭河流域陕西段2012—2021年水安全、水资源、生态健康、水质环境、水经济、水文化相关数据,以评价该流域的可持续性,为流域水资源管理与高质量发展提供科学依据。综合考虑流域实际情况与发展需求,选取涵盖上述6个维度的22项评价指标;改进G1法与熵权法,经博弈论组合赋权确定指标权重,构建模糊物元模型;运用改进的TOPSIS-RSR-Fuzzy方法进行评价与敏感性分析。结果显示,流域径流调节能力、流域生物完整性指数等指标权重居前,其中流域径流调节能力权重达0.156,流域生物完整性指数权重为0.108。2012—2014年流域处于初步可持续等级,2015—2021年可持续性评价得分稳步上升,2021年得分最高为0.699。敏感性分析表明,不同年份指标敏感性有变化,堤防达标率、富营养化率、城区防洪达标率等波动大。基于研究成果,提出应保障流域水安全、合理管理水资源、推动经济文化环境协调发展、提升居民幸福感等建议。 展开更多

Displacement control algorithms commonly used to evaluate axial force-bending moment(PM)diagrams may lead to incorrect interpretations of the strength envelopes for asymmetric sections.This paper aims to offer valuable insights by comparing existing displacement control algorithms with a newly proposed force control algorithm.The main focus is on the PM diagrams of three example sections that exhibit varying degrees of asymmetry.The comparative study indicates that conventional displacement control algorithms inevitably introduce non-zero out-of-plane bending moments.The reported PM diagram in such cases erroneously neglects the out-of-plane moment and fails to represent the strength envelope accurately.This oversight results in significant and unconservative errors when verifying the strength of asymmetric sections. 展开更多

Dip angle of coal seam β has tremendous impact on horizontal section height, while thickness of coal seam M has slight impact. Wind-tunnel tests of a large-scale sectional model with synchronous measurements of force and vibration responses were carried out to investigate the nonlinear behaviors of vertical vortex-induced forces (VIFs) on three typical box decks (i.e., fully closed box, centrally slotted box, and semi-closed box). The mechanisms of the onset, development, and self-limiting phenomenon of the vertical vortex-induced vibration (VlV) were also explored by analyzing the energy evolution of different vertical VIF components and their contributions to the vertical VIV responses. The results show that the nonlinear components of the vertical VIF often differ from deck to deck; the most important components of the vertical VIF, governing the stable amplitudes of the vertical VIV responses, are the linear and cubic components of velocity contained in the self-excited aerodynamic damping forces. The former provides a constant negative damping ratio to the vibration system and is thus the essential power driving the development of the VIV amplitude, while the latter provides a positive damping ratio proportional to the square of the vibration velocity and is actually the inherent factor making the VIV amplitude self-limiting. On these bases, a universal simplified nonlinear mathematical model of the vertical VIF on box decks of bridges is presented and verified in this paper; it can be used to predict the stable amplitudes of the vertical VIV of long-span bridges with satisfactory accuracy. 展开更多

Based on the vehicle track coupling dynamics theory, a new spatial dynamic numerical model of vehicle track subgrade coupling system was established considering the interaction among different structural layers in the subgrade system. The dynamic responses of the coupled system were analyzed when the speed of train was 350 km/h and the transition was filled with graded broken stones mixed with 5% cement. The results indicate that the setting form of bridge-approach embankment section has little effect on the dynamic responses, thus designers can choose it on account of the practical circumstances. Because the location about 5 m from the bridge abutment has the greatest deformation, the stiffness within 0 5 m zone behind the abutment should be specially designed. The results of the study from vehicle track dynamics show that the maximum allowable track deflection angle should be 0.09% and the coefficient of subgrade reaction(K30) is greater than 190 MPa within the 0 5 m zone behind the abutment and greater than 150 MPa in other zones. 展开更多

When modeling a stealth aircraft with low RCS(Radar Cross Section), conventional parameter estimation methods may cause a deviation from the actual distribution, owing to the fact that the characteristic parameters are estimated via directly calculating the statistics of RCS. The Bayesian–Markov Chain Monte Carlo(Bayesian-MCMC) method is introduced herein to estimate the parameters so as to improve the fitting accuracies of fluctuation models. The parameter estimations of the lognormal and the Legendre polynomial models are reformulated in the Bayesian framework. The MCMC algorithm is then adopted to calculate the parameter estimates. Numerical results show that the distribution curves obtained by the proposed method exhibit improved consistence with the actual ones, compared with those fitted by the conventional method. The fitting accuracy could be improved by no less than 25% for both fluctuation models, which implies that the Bayesian-MCMC method might be a good candidate among the optimal parameter estimation methods for stealth aircraft RCS models. 展开更多
