Crystal data for the title compound are as follows: orthorhombic system, space group P212121 with a = 13.8287(7), b = 14.0715(7), c = 25.7403(12) A^°, V = 5008.8(4) A^°3, Mr = 1333.08, Z = 4, F(000) = 2644, Dc = 1.768 g/cm^3, μ(MoKα) = 3.189 mm^-1, the final R = 0.0351 and wR = 0.0814 (I 〉 2σ(I)). Compound 1 displays an 8-connected bcu topology 3D framework and hydrogen-bonding interactions stabilize the solid-state structure. The vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectrum and second-order nonlinear optical effect of compound 1 have been studied in the solid state.展开更多

Static second-order nonlinear optical effects of amino acid zinc(II) porphyrins 1, 2, 3 and 4 were calculated by the TDHF/PM3 method based on the molecular structures optimized at the semiempirical PM3 quantum chemi...Static second-order nonlinear optical effects of amino acid zinc(II) porphyrins 1, 2, 3 and 4 were calculated by the TDHF/PM3 method based on the molecular structures optimized at the semiempirical PM3 quantum chemistry level, showing due to the cancellation of symmetric center, these amino acid zinc(II) porphyrins exhibit second order nonlinear optical response. The analysis of β components indicated that these amino acid zinc(II) porphyrins are of multipola- rizabilities, and they may be ascribed as the “mixture” of octupolar and dipoar molecules with ||βJ=3||/||βJ=1|| ≈ 5. It is found that there are no significant differences between the static β values of non-chiral and chiral amino acid zinc(II) porphyrins. However, the βxyz component, which is quite important to quadratic macroscopic χ (2) susceptibility of chiral material, is increased significantly with the increase of side chain group of amino acids.展开更多

It was characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA and single-crys...A new organic-inorganic hybrid noncentrosymmetric potassium bis(malic acid)-borates KB(L-(-)-C4H4O5)2·H2O was synthesized by solution method. It was characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 5.546(6), b = 11.985(13), c = 9.952(11) ?, β = 97.522(17)°, V = 655.8(13) ?3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.682 g/cm3, μ(MoKa) = 0.46 mm–1 and F(000) = 340. 5009 reflections were measured and 2893 independent reflections(Rint = 0.051) were used for further refinement. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that the complex exhibits a threedimensional pseudo tunnel structure consisting of fundamental building block [B(L-(-)-C4H4O5)2]– anions. The small cavities are occupied by the H2O molecules, which stabilize the whole structure by O–H×××O hydrogen bonds. The complex exhibits nonlinear optical effect as high as 1.5 times that of KDP standard.展开更多

The calculated results show that the fra...The structures of several recently reported organometallic NLO chromophores, (thio-phene) manganese tricarbonyl cations, were fully optimized at the DFT non-local (GGA) level. The calculated results show that the fragments 2-SC4H3CH=CHC6H4-R in these organometallic chromophores are not planar with dihedral angles of 42.2~59.8 between two aromatic rings, which are different from those of uncoordinated counterparts. Based on the DFT geometry opti-mization, the second-order nonlinear optical polarizabilities were calculated by using RPA method. The calculated results indicate that incorporation of +3Mn(CO) unit with thiophene leads to a sub-stantial increase in the second-order polarizability (b).展开更多

Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group P212121 with α= 8.2429(5), b = 9.1045(4), c = 26.8851(14) A, β= 90.00°, V=2017.66(18) A3^, Z = 4, Dc = 1.765 g/cm^3, μ= 58.51 cm^-1, F(000) = 1048, the final R = 0.0204 and wR = 0.0400 for 4432 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ(I). X-ray structure analysis revealed that the molecule is acentric and has large first=order hyperpolarizability (7.2 × 10^-30 esu), so it could be an IR second=order nonlinear optical candidate material.展开更多

The computed results show that the thiophene S,S -dioxide derivatives exhibit larger second-order polarizabilities than their thiophene precursors. In order to clarify the origin of the different NLO responses among these chromophores, their electron properties and frontier orbital properties were investigated as well. These thiophene S,S -dioxides derivatives are good candidates for their application in electro-optical device due to their high nonlinearities, good thermal and photo stabilities.展开更多
In this paper,a double-effect DNN-based Digital Back-Propagation(DBP)scheme is proposed and studied to achieve the Integrated Communication and Sensing(ICS)ability,which can not only realize nonlinear damage mitigatio...In this paper,a double-effect DNN-based Digital Back-Propagation(DBP)scheme is proposed and studied to achieve the Integrated Communication and Sensing(ICS)ability,which can not only realize nonlinear damage mitigation but also monitor the optical power and dispersion profile over multi-span links.The link status information can be extracted by the characteristics of the learned optical fiber parameters without any other measuring instruments.The efficiency and feasibility of this method have been investigated in different fiber link conditions,including various launch power,transmission distance,and the location and the amount of the abnormal losses.A good monitoring performance can be obtained while the launch optical power is 2 dBm which does not affect the normal operation of the optical communication system and the step size of DBP is 20 km which can provide a better distance resolution.This scheme successfully detects the location of single or multiple optical attenuators in long-distance multi-span fiber links,including different abnormal losses of 2 dB,4 dB,and 6 dB in 360 km and serval combinations of abnormal losses of(1 dB,5 dB),(3 dB,3 dB),(5 dB,1 dB)in 360 km and 760 km.Meanwhile,the transfer relationship of the estimated coefficient values with different step sizes is further investigated to reduce the complexity of the fiber nonlinear damage compensation.These results provide an attractive approach for precisely sensing the optical fiber link status information and making correct strategies timely to ensure optical communication system operations.展开更多

The generation of optical vortices from nonlinear photonic crystals(NPCs)with spatially modulated second-order nonlinearity offers a promising approach to extend the working wavelength and topological charge of vortex...The generation of optical vortices from nonlinear photonic crystals(NPCs)with spatially modulated second-order nonlinearity offers a promising approach to extend the working wavelength and topological charge of vortex beams for various applications.In this work,the second harmonic(SH)optical vortex beams generated from nonlinear fork gratings under Gaussian beam illumination are numerically investigated.The far-field intensity and phase distributions,as well as the orbital angular momentum(OAM)spectra of the SH beams,are analyzed for different structural topological charges and diffraction orders.Results reveal that higher-order diffraction and larger structural topological charges lead to angular interference patterns and non-uniform intensity distributions,deviating from the standard vortex profile.To optimize the SH vortex quality,the effects of the fundamental wave beam waist,crystal thickness,and grating duty cycle are explored.It is shown that increasing the beam waist can effectively suppress diffraction order interference and improve the beam’s quality.This study provides theoretical guidance for enhancing the performance of nonlinear optical devices based on NPCs.展开更多
Sulfates are always promising short-wave ultraviolet(UV)nonlinear optical(NLO)candidates,if their birefringence could be greatly improved.Here,in terms of the insufficient birefringence,the unity of heteroleptic tetra...Sulfates are always promising short-wave ultraviolet(UV)nonlinear optical(NLO)candidates,if their birefringence could be greatly improved.Here,in terms of the insufficient birefringence,the unity of heteroleptic tetrahedral groups and triangular ones was proposed and implemented.Thus,a new semiorganic crystal,[C(NH_(2))_(3)]S_(3)O_(6)(G_(2)S_(3)O_(6)),was obtained,which is composed of[S_(3)O_(6)]^(2-)and[C(NH_(2))_(3)]+groups.It exhibits excellent optical properties with a short absorption cutoff edge of 218 nm,a strong NLO response of 1.4×KH_(2)PO_(4),and more especially,a large birefringence of 0.097@546 nm.This birefringence leap makes the G_(2)S_(3)O_(6) crystal achieve a phase-matching behavior under a 532 nm laser.Thus,the synergy of[S_(3)O_(6)]^(2-)and[C(NH_(2))_(3)]~+groups results in excellent optical performances.This finding opens a new horizon for exploring novel UV NLO crystals.展开更多

These chromophores are formed by a donor-π-bridge-acceptor system, based on a nitro group connected with benzothiazole as the acceptor and a hydroxyl-functional amino group as the donor. For the purpose of comparison, we also designed molecules in which nitrobenzene is an acceptor. The calculation results indicate that benzothiazole derivatives exhibit larger second-order polarizabilities than nitrobenzene derivatives. In order to clarify the origin of the NLO response of these chromophores, their electron properties were investigated as well. The benzothiazole derivatives are good candidates for application in electro-optical device due to their high optical nonlinearities, good thermal and photonic stability.展开更多

The crosslinking and imidizing processes were studied by IR and UV-Vis spectra. The chromophore density in one of the crosslinkable components, poly(amic acid) prepolymer, and the thermal stability of crosslinked polyimide thin film were measured by UV-Vis spectra.展开更多
In this paper,we investigate the photon correlations and the statistical properties of light produced by an optical cavity with an embedded quantum well interacting with squeezed light.We show that the squeezed source...In this paper,we investigate the photon correlations and the statistical properties of light produced by an optical cavity with an embedded quantum well interacting with squeezed light.We show that the squeezed source substantially improves the intensity of the emitted light and generates a narrowing and a duplication of the spectrum peaks.With a strong dependence on frequency detuning,the cavity produces considerably squeezed radiation,and perfect squeezing is predicted for weak light–matter interactions.Furthermore,the system under consideration presents a bunching effect of the transmitted radiation resulting from weak pumping of the coherent field.The results obtained may have potential applications in the fields of very accurate measurement and quantum computing.展开更多

In order to clarify the origin of the different NLO responses among these chromophores, their electron properties and frontier orbital properties were investigated as well. These thiophene S,S -dioxides derivatives are good candidates for their application in electro-optical device due to their high nonlinearities, good thermal and photo stabilities.

文摘In this paper,a double-effect DNN-based Digital Back-Propagation(DBP)scheme is proposed and studied to achieve the Integrated Communication and Sensing(ICS)ability,which can not only realize nonlinear damage mitigation but also monitor the optical power and dispersion profile over multi-span links.The link status information can be extracted by the characteristics of the learned optical fiber parameters without any other measuring instruments.The efficiency and feasibility of this method have been investigated in different fiber link conditions,including various launch power,transmission distance,and the location and the amount of the abnormal losses.A good monitoring performance can be obtained while the launch optical power is 2 dBm which does not affect the normal operation of the optical communication system and the step size of DBP is 20 km which can provide a better distance resolution.This scheme successfully detects the location of single or multiple optical attenuators in long-distance multi-span fiber links,including different abnormal losses of 2 dB,4 dB,and 6 dB in 360 km and serval combinations of abnormal losses of(1 dB,5 dB),(3 dB,3 dB),(5 dB,1 dB)in 360 km and 760 km.Meanwhile,the transfer relationship of the estimated coefficient values with different step sizes is further investigated to reduce the complexity of the fiber nonlinear damage compensation.These results provide an attractive approach for precisely sensing the optical fiber link status information and making correct strategies timely to ensure optical communication system operations.
文摘Herein,we report the synthesis and third-order nonlinear optical(NLO)properties of a novel cage-based 2D metal-organic framework constructed from Ti_(4)L_(6)(L4-=embonate)cage combined with Mg^(2+)and tris[4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenyl]amine(tipa)ligand,whose molecular formula is(Me_(2)CH_(2))_(2)[Mg_(3)(Ti_(4)L_(6))(tipa)(H_(2)O)_(12)](PTC‑378).The Ti_(4)L_(6)tetrahedral cages serve as robust building units,while the Mg^(2+)ions and tipa ligands provide structural stability and tunable optical properties.The resulting PTC‑378 film exhibited intriguing third-order NLO property,which was systematically investigated using Z-scan techniques.Our results demonstrate that the synergistic interaction between Ti_(4)L_(6)cages andπ-conjugated ligands significantly enhances the NLO performance of the materials.CCDC:2453909.

文摘The generation of optical vortices from nonlinear photonic crystals(NPCs)with spatially modulated second-order nonlinearity offers a promising approach to extend the working wavelength and topological charge of vortex beams for various applications.In this work,the second harmonic(SH)optical vortex beams generated from nonlinear fork gratings under Gaussian beam illumination are numerically investigated.The far-field intensity and phase distributions,as well as the orbital angular momentum(OAM)spectra of the SH beams,are analyzed for different structural topological charges and diffraction orders.Results reveal that higher-order diffraction and larger structural topological charges lead to angular interference patterns and non-uniform intensity distributions,deviating from the standard vortex profile.To optimize the SH vortex quality,the effects of the fundamental wave beam waist,crystal thickness,and grating duty cycle are explored.It is shown that increasing the beam waist can effectively suppress diffraction order interference and improve the beam’s quality.This study provides theoretical guidance for enhancing the performance of nonlinear optical devices based on NPCs.

文摘Sulfates are always promising short-wave ultraviolet(UV)nonlinear optical(NLO)candidates,if their birefringence could be greatly improved.Here,in terms of the insufficient birefringence,the unity of heteroleptic tetrahedral groups and triangular ones was proposed and implemented.Thus,a new semiorganic crystal,[C(NH_(2))_(3)]S_(3)O_(6)(G_(2)S_(3)O_(6)),was obtained,which is composed of[S_(3)O_(6)]^(2-)and[C(NH_(2))_(3)]+groups.It exhibits excellent optical properties with a short absorption cutoff edge of 218 nm,a strong NLO response of 1.4×KH_(2)PO_(4),and more especially,a large birefringence of 0.097@546 nm.This birefringence leap makes the G_(2)S_(3)O_(6) crystal achieve a phase-matching behavior under a 532 nm laser.Thus,the synergy of[S_(3)O_(6)]^(2-)and[C(NH_(2))_(3)]~+groups results in excellent optical performances.This finding opens a new horizon for exploring novel UV NLO crystals.

文摘The interactions of charge transfer(CT)and nonradiative energy transfer(ET)in heterojunctions of two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides and quasi-2D single crystal perovskite thin films have the potential applications in sensor,energy harvesting and solar cells.However,the CT and ET between them are not clear.Herein,we examine the ET in a(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)/WS_(2)(PEA stands for phenethylamine and(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)is abbreviated as PEPI)heterojunction using combined ultrafast spectroscopy and nonlinear optical absorption measurements.The ET from PEPI to WS_(2)predicted by band alignment is first observed with photoluminescence spectroscopy and then revealed by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy to exhibit a high ET efficiency approximating 68%.

文摘The second-order nonlinear optical(NLO)materials play an important role in the application and development of laser techniques.For various candidates,those in the middle infrared(MIR)region are far from the market’s requirement.Therefore,it is necessary to explore new ones with better performance.For their exploration,the inclusion of multiple anions in one structure has been proved to be a successful strategy.The NLO property contains several aspects,and different anions may contribute to different aspects.Therefore,the multiple anions’combination may give an opportunity to obtain NLO materials with desirable properties.Here,we make a short but clear summary on the MIR NLO-active chalcogenides and halides containing multiple anions,as most of them exhibit nice NLO performances.

The influence of the molecular conjugated chain lengths, the donor and the acceptor on βμ was examined.

文摘The second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of a series of benzothiazole derivatives were studied by use of the ZINDO-SOS method. These chromophores are formed by a donor-π-bridge-acceptor system, based on a nitro group connected with benzothiazole as the acceptor and a hydroxyl-functional amino group as the donor. For the purpose of comparison, we also designed molecules in which nitrobenzene is an acceptor. The calculation results indicate that benzothiazole derivatives exhibit larger second-order polarizabilities than nitrobenzene derivatives. In order to clarify the origin of the NLO response of these chromophores, their electron properties were investigated as well. The benzothiazole derivatives are good candidates for application in electro-optical device due to their high optical nonlinearities, good thermal and photonic stability.
文摘Four phenoxysilicon networks for nonlinear optical (NLO) applications were designed and prepared by an extended sol-gel process without additional H2O and catalyst. All poled polymer network films possess high second-order nonlinear optical coefficients (d(33)) Of 10(-7)similar to 10(-8) esu. The investigation of NLO temporal stability at room temperature and elevated temperature (120 degreesC) indicated that these films exhibit high d(33) stability because the orientation of the chromophores are locked in the phenoxysilicon organic/inorganic networks.

文摘Synthesis of three novel crosslinked polyimides with push-pull azobenzene group has been developed. 4-Nitre4′-[N, N-bis (2-aminoethyl)]aminoazobenzene was first prepared, then poly(amic acid) prepolymer, one crosslinkable component, was obtained by aminolysis of alternating styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, alternating thiophene-maleic anhydride copolymer or alternating benzofuran-maleic anhydride copolymer with it, and at last the crosslinked second-order nonlinear optical polyimide was synthesized by crosslinking and imidizing poly (amic acid) prepolymer with corresponding alternating copolymer. The crosslinking and imidizing processes were studied by IR and UV-Vis spectra. The chromophore density in one of the crosslinkable components, poly(amic acid) prepolymer, and the thermal stability of crosslinked polyimide thin film were measured by UV-Vis spectra.
文摘In this paper,we investigate the photon correlations and the statistical properties of light produced by an optical cavity with an embedded quantum well interacting with squeezed light.We show that the squeezed source substantially improves the intensity of the emitted light and generates a narrowing and a duplication of the spectrum peaks.With a strong dependence on frequency detuning,the cavity produces considerably squeezed radiation,and perfect squeezing is predicted for weak light–matter interactions.Furthermore,the system under consideration presents a bunching effect of the transmitted radiation resulting from weak pumping of the coherent field.The results obtained may have potential applications in the fields of very accurate measurement and quantum computing.
