Anxiety,motivation,and strategy have long been seen as critical in second language acquisition.This study presents a systematic review of the literature on these variables in terms of their relationship with one anoth...Anxiety,motivation,and strategy have long been seen as critical in second language acquisition.This study presents a systematic review of the literature on these variables in terms of their relationship with one another,their effects on learning outcomes,and how they are affected by technology-assisted tools in the teaching of Chinese as a second language.This study includes 24 articles for the review study based on the criteria and process of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocol(PRISMA-P)and the clustering techniques of VOSviewer.It is found that 1)anxiety,motivation,and strategy were interrelated,that is,motivation was negatively associated with anxiety but positively related to strategy,while strategy could positively predict anxiety;2)anxiety could both positively and negatively affect learning outcomes,while motivation and strategy could both positively and insignificantly influence learning outcomes;3)the technology-assisted tools used in the classroom could both positively and negatively affect the levels of these variables and learning outcomes in the L2 Chinese context.The need to explore more complicated relationships between language-specific individual variables themselves and other possible factors that affect these variables,such as cultural ones,are also discussed for future research.展开更多
Objectives A systematic review and network meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of different childbirth positions in reducing the duration of the second stage of labor,providing evidence-based ins...Objectives A systematic review and network meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of different childbirth positions in reducing the duration of the second stage of labor,providing evidence-based insights for obstetric institutions to guide interventions related to childbirth positions.Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted in databases,including PubMed,Web of Science,the Cochrane Library,Embase,Wanfang Databases,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases(CNKI),China Science and Technology Journal Database(CSTJ),and China Biology Medicine disc(CBMdisc)to identify studies on the effectiveness of different childbirth positions in reducing the duration of the second stage of labor.The search included randomized controlled trials published from database inception to September 30,2024.The Cochrane risk-of-bias tool was used to assess the quality of the studies.Two independent reviewers screened the literature,extracted data,and evaluated study quality.Subsequently,a network meta-analysis was performed using STATA software.The study protocol has been registered in PROSPERO(CRD42023428217).Results This study analyzed data from 25 randomized controlled trials involving 9,844 women.The findings indicated that in comparison to lithotomy position,free position(MD=20.53,95%CI[11.38,29.68])and upright position(MD=−24.13,95%CI[−42.94,-5.32])were found to be superior in reducing the duration of the second stage of labor.Free position outperformed kneeling position(MD=21.48,95%CI[4.67,38.28])and squatting position(MD=23.43,95%CI[1.88,44.97]);upright position was superior to kneeling position(MD=−25.08,95%CI[−46.93,−3.22]);semirecumbent position surpassed squatting position(MD=19.71,95%CI[2.05,37.38]);and upright position was also superior to squatting position(MD=−27.03,95%CI[−51.48,−2.57]).According to the surface under the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA),the upright position emerged as the most effective for reducing the duration of the second stage of labor(87.4%),followed by free position(81.1%),semirecumbent position(70.0%),and lateral position(62.3%).Conclusion These findings offer valuable insights for midwifery practice and help inform future research directions.Considering the limitations of this review,more larger-scale,multicenter randomized controlled trials are warranted to further evaluate the relative effectiveness of different childbirth positions in reducing the duration of the second stage of labor.展开更多
The aims of the study were to investigate the incidence of C-shaped root canal systems in mandibular second molars in a native Chinese population using radiography and clinical examination under microscope and to comp...The aims of the study were to investigate the incidence of C-shaped root canal systems in mandibular second molars in a native Chinese population using radiography and clinical examination under microscope and to compare the relative efficacies of these methods. For the recognition of C-shaped root canal system, 1 146 mandibular second molars were selected and examined. Teeth with C-shaped canal systems were categorized by using the radiographic classification criteria and the modified Melton's method. C-shaped canals were identified in 397 (34.64%) mandibular second molars by radiography (type I, 31.23%; type II, 38.29%; type III, 30.48%). Clinical examination showed that 449 (39.18%) cases exhibited C-shaped canal systems (C1, 22.94%; C2, 48.11%; C3a, 15.59%; C3b, 13.36%). As for the result of the radiographic and clinical combined examination, C-shaped root canals were found in 473 (41.27%) mandibular second molars (C1, 21.78%; C2, 45.67%; C3a, 16.70%; C3b, 15.86%). The incidence of C-shaped root canal diagnosed by radiographic method was statistically different from that by clinical examination and the combined examination (P〈O.05). The study indicated a high incidence of C-shaped canal system in a Chinese population. The combination of microscopic and radiographic examination is an effective method in identifying the C-shaped root canal system.展开更多

We show that the states of the second-order system will be stabilized to a region containing the origin. The radius of this region is determined by the control parameters and can be rendered as small as desired. The rigorous stability analysis is also given. Compared with the conventional PD control law, the finite-time control law yields a better disturbance rejection performance. Numerical simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.展开更多

The second shutdown system(SSS) as an engi...Safety systems, built on state-of-the-art technology, are essential for achieving acceptable levels of plant safety to minimize hazards to the reactor and the general public. The second shutdown system(SSS) as an engineered safety feature and a part of the reactor protection system(RPS) is a means for rapidly shutting down a nuclear reactor, keeping it in a subcritical state and serving as a backup to the first shutdown system(FSS). In this research, one SSS with two types of optimum chamber designs is proposed that take into account the main current characteristic features of the Tehran research reactor with improvements over earlier designs. They are based on a liquid neutron absorber injection that is preferably different, diverse, and independent from the FSS based on the rod drop mechanism. The major design characteristics of this SSS with two different chambers were investigated using MCNPX 2.6.0 code. The performed calculations showed that the designed SSS is a reliable shutdown system, assuring an appropriate shutdown margin and injection time, with no significant effects on the effective delayed neutron fraction while causing minimal variations to the core structure. Further, the reasonable financial cost and the prolongation of the operation cycle are additional advantages of this design.展开更多

The topologies that characterize the interaction among the leaders and the followers are directed graphs. Necessary and sufficient criteria which guarantee the control objectives are established for both stationary leaders(regulation case) and dynamic leaders(dynamic tracking case) based protocols. The final states of all the followers are exclusively determined by the initial values of the leaders and the topology structures. In the regulation case, all the followers converge into the convex hull spanned by the leaders,while in the dynamic tracking case, not only the positions of the followers converge into the convex hull but also the velocities of the followers converge into the velocity convex hull of the leaders.Finally, all the theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations.展开更多

Because of melt water, the water quality in the Second Songhua River is good and changes very except that the contents of Hg and Mn in the water are higher. The contribution of melt water to the water fluxes in the Second Songhua River basin is distinct: the water flow in April increases remarkably, reaches the peak in the upper reaches. The pollutant contributions and water pollution indices (WPIs) of the Second Songhua River in April are high in the upper reaches while that in the lower reaches are low. The responses of hydro-environment system to melt water of that basin are affected by content of packed snow and the underlining surface systems.展开更多

The unprecedented healthcare demand due to sudden outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has almost collapsed the health care systems especially in the developing world. Given the disastrous outbreak...The unprecedented healthcare demand due to sudden outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has almost collapsed the health care systems especially in the developing world. Given the disastrous outbreak of COVID-19 second wave in India, the health system of country was virtually at the brink of collapse. Therefore, to identify the factors that resulted into breakdown and the challenges, Indian healthcare system faced during the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, this paper analysed the health system challenges in India and the way forward in accordance with the six building blocks of world health organization (WHO). Applying integrated review approach, we found that the factors such as poor infrastructure, inadequate financing, lack of transparency and poor healthcare management resulted into the overstretching of healthcare system in India. Although health system in India faced these challenges from the very beginning, but early lessons from first wave should have been capitalized to avert the much deeper crisis in the second wave of the pandemic. To sum-up given the likely future challenges of pandemic, while healthcare should be prioritized with adequate financing, strong capacity-building measures and integration of public and private sectors in India. Likewise fiscal stimulus, risk assessment, data availability and building of human resources chain are other key factors to be strengthened for mitigating the future healthcare crisis in country.展开更多

Because of melt water, the water quality in the Second Songhua River is good and changes very except that the contents of Hg and Mn in the water are higher. The contribution of melt water to the water fluxes in the Second Songhua River basin is distinct: the water flow in April increases remarkably, reaches the peak in the upper reaches. The pollutant contributions and water pollution indices (WPIs) of the Second Songhua River in April are high in the upper reaches while that in the lower reaches are low. The responses of hydro-environment system to melt water of that basin are affected by content of packed snow and the underlining surface systems.

文摘The unprecedented healthcare demand due to sudden outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has almost collapsed the health care systems especially in the developing world. Given the disastrous outbreak of COVID-19 second wave in India, the health system of country was virtually at the brink of collapse. Therefore, to identify the factors that resulted into breakdown and the challenges, Indian healthcare system faced during the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, this paper analysed the health system challenges in India and the way forward in accordance with the six building blocks of world health organization (WHO). Applying integrated review approach, we found that the factors such as poor infrastructure, inadequate financing, lack of transparency and poor healthcare management resulted into the overstretching of healthcare system in India. Although health system in India faced these challenges from the very beginning, but early lessons from first wave should have been capitalized to avert the much deeper crisis in the second wave of the pandemic. To sum-up given the likely future challenges of pandemic, while healthcare should be prioritized with adequate financing, strong capacity-building measures and integration of public and private sectors in India. Likewise fiscal stimulus, risk assessment, data availability and building of human resources chain are other key factors to be strengthened for mitigating the future healthcare crisis in country.
文摘Eigenstructure assignment using the proportional-plus-derivative feedback controller in a class of secondorder dynamic system is investigated. Simple, general, complete parametric expressions for both the closed-loop eigenvector matrix and the feedback gains are established based on two simple Smith form reductions. The approach utilizes directly the original system data and involves manipulations only on n-dimensional matrices. Furthermore, it reveals all the degrees of freedom which can be further utilized to achieve additional system specifications. An example shows the effect of the proposed approach.
文摘The Lie symmetries and the conserved quantities of the second-order nonholonomic mechanical system are studied. Firstly, by using the invariance of the differential equation of motion under the infinitesimal tran, formations, the determining equations and the restriction equations of the Lie symmetries of the system are established, and the structure equation and the conservative quantities of the Lie symmetries are obtained. Secondly, the inverse problems of the Lie symmetries are studied. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of the result.

文摘This paper investigates the cluster consensus problem for second-order multi-agent systems by applying the pinning control method to a small collection of the agents. Consensus is attained independently for different agent clusters according to the community structure generated by the group partition of the underlying graph and sufficient conditions for both cluster and general consensus are obtained by using results from algebraic graph theory and the LaSalle Invariance Principle. Finally, some simple simulations are presented to illustrate the technique.
