The second derivative differential pulse polarography was developed for the quantitative determination of active principles in medicinal herbs (baicalin in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, indigo in Baphicacanthus cusia (Nees) Bremek, paeonol in Paeonia suffruticosa Andr and piperine in Piper longum L ) The C O group in baicalin, indigo, paeonol and piperine could be reduced to CH OH in acidic solution at the dropping mercury electrode, and showed very good second derivative differential pulse polarographic peak at 1 550V, 1 300V, 1 630V and 0 860V (vs Ag/AgCl) respectively The linear relationship between concentration of baicalin, indigo, paeonol, piperine and peak height was obtained in the concentration range of 4 5×10 5 ~ 2 7×10 4 mol·L 1 , 3 8×10 5 ~ 4 2×10 4 mol·L 1 , 1 0~6 0×10 4 mol·L 1 and 7 0×10 5 ~2 5×10 4 mol·L 1 and the determination limits were 9 0×10 8 mol·L 1 , 8 4×10 9 mol·L 1 , 9 2×10 9 mol·L 1 and 8 7×10 9 mol·L 1 respectively This method is simple, rapid and sensitive, and the results are accurate 展开更多

Effects of pulsed radiofrequency on spasticity in patients with spinal cord injury:a report of two cases 被引量:3

Spasticity following spinal cord injury(SCI) results in functional deterioration and reduced quality of life. Herein, we report two SCI patients who presented with good response to pulsed radiofrequency(PRF) for the management of spasticity in the lower extremities. Patient 1(a 47-year-old man) had complete thoracic cord injury and showed a phasic spasticity on the extensor of both knees(3–4 beats clonus per every 30 seconds) and tonic spasticity(Modified Ashworth Scale: 3) on both hip adductors. Patient 2(a 64-yearold man) had incomplete cervical cord injury and showed a right ankle clonus(approximately 20 beats) when he walked. After the application of PRF to both L2 and L3 dorsal root ganglion(DRG)(patient 1) and right S1 DRG(patient 2) with 5 Hz and 5 ms pulsed width for 360 seconds at 45 V under the C-arm guide, all spasticity disappeared or was reduced. Moreover, the effects of PRF were sustained for approximately 6 months with no side effects. We believe that PRF treatment can be useful for patients with spasticity after SCI. 展开更多

A second harmonic generation system with two type II KDP crystals in quadrature is optimized for the nanosecond chirp pulse. The acceptance bandwidth of this optimizing scheme is close to 10 nm by using two crystals with slightly opposite angular detuning from phase matching and the conversion efficiency can reach 70% for top-hat chirp pulse at -2 GW/cm^2 in theory. The preliminary experimental results are obtained on the 9th beam of Shen Guang Ⅱ SGⅡ laser system, and the performance of optimization is partially verified. 展开更多
