The control allocation problem is described as an integer programming problem and solved by the cuckoo search algorithm. In order to enhance the search capability of the cuckoo search algorithm, the adaptive detection probability and amplification factor are designed. Finally, the control allocation method based on the proposed improved cuckoo search algorithm is applied to the tracking control problem of the innovative control effector aircraft. The comparative simulation results demonstrate the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed improved cuckoo search algorithm in control allocation of aircraft.展开更多

The CS algorithm posses...This paper proposes the current search (CS) metaheuristics conceptualized from the electric current flowing through electric networks for optimization problems with continuous design variables. The CS algorithm possesses two powerful strategies, exploration and exploitation, for searching the global optimum. Based on the stochastic process, the derivatives of the objective function is unnecessary for the proposed CS. To evaluate its performance, the CS is tested against several unconstrained optimization problems. The results obtained are compared to those obtained by the popular search techniques, i.e., the genetic algorithm (GA), the particle swarm optimization (PSO), and the adaptive tabu search (ATS). As results, the CS outperforms other algorithms and provides superior results. The CS is also applied to a constrained design of the optimum PID controller for the dc motor speed control system. When multiple UAVs (multi-UAV) search for a number of moving targets in the mission area, the targets can intermittently obtain the position information of the UAVs from sensing devices, and take appropriate actions to increase the distance between themselves and the UAVs. Aiming at this problem, an environment model is established using the search map, and the updating method of the search map is extended by considering the sensing capabilities of the moving targets. A multi-UAV search path planning optimization model based on the model predictive control (MPC) method is constructed, and a hybrid particle swarm optimization algorithm with a crossover operator is designed to solve the model. Simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the cooperative search efficiency and can find more targets per unit time compared with the coverage search method and the random search method.展开更多
The aim of this work is to analyze and design a control system for vibration reduction in a rotor system using a shear mode magnetorheological fluid(MRF)damper.A dynamic model of the MRF damper-rotor system was built ...The aim of this work is to analyze and design a control system for vibration reduction in a rotor system using a shear mode magnetorheological fluid(MRF)damper.A dynamic model of the MRF damper-rotor system was built and simulated in Matlab/Simulink to analyze the rotor vibration characteristics and the vibration reduction effect of the MRF damper.Based on the numerical simulation analysis,an optimizing control strategy using pattern search method was proposed and designed.The control system was constructed on a test rotor bench and experiment validations on the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy were conducted.Experimental results show that rotor vibration caused by unbalance can be well controlled whether in resonance region(70%)or in non-resonance region(30%).An irregular vibration amplitude jump can be suppressed with the optimization strategy.Furthermore,it is found that the rapidity of transient response and efficiency of optimizing technique depend on the pattern search step.The presented strategies and control system can be extended to multi-span(more than two or three spans)rotor system.It provides a powerful technical support for the extension and application in target and control for shafting vibration.展开更多

We demonstrate both analytic...We explore the possibility of an N-qubit (N 〉 3) Grover search in cavity QED, based on a fast operation of an N-qubit controlled phase-flip with atoms in resonance with the cavity mode. We demonstrate both analytically and numerically that our scheme can be achieved efficiently to find a marked state with high fidelity and high success probability. As an example, a ten-qubit Grover search is simulated specifically under the discussion of experimental feasibility and challenge. We argue that our scheme is applicable to the case involving an arbitrary number of qubits. As cavity decay is involved in our quantum trajectory treatment, we can analytically understand the implementation of a Grover search subject to dissipation, which will be very helpful for relevant experiments.展开更多
Under the guidance of the theory of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis and on the basis of the geological characteristics, analysis of the ore-forming and ore-controlling structures, the geochemical cha...Under the guidance of the theory of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis and on the basis of the geological characteristics, analysis of the ore-forming and ore-controlling structures, the geochemical characteristics of metallogenesis, the source of ore-forming materials, changes in the physical and chemical conditions of metallogenesis, changes in the vertical width of ore veins, and changes in gold grade of the Shihu gold deposit, the mechanism of its metallogenesis was discussed and the rules of vertical variation of ore veins were summarized in this study. It is pointed out that the orebodies under exploitation at present time should be in the middle and upper portions of gold veins in the Shihu gold mining district. Particularly on the basis of the characteristics of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis, it is indicated that metallogenesis is controlled mainly by such ore-forming conditions as temperature and pressure. Deep-seated ore-forming fluids are characterized mainly by injection and precipitation. So the vein bodies in the adjacent metallogenic structures are of obvious comparability, and there would be great prospects for ore search both at depth and in the periphery of the Shihu gold deposit. Therefore, ore prospecting should be strengthened both at depth and in the peripheries.展开更多

The DISOMP algorithm can be divided into four modules: a search module designed based on the distributed Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) algorithm, an attack module designed based on the Parallel Approach(PA)scheme, a threat avoidance module designed based on the Dubins Curve(DC) and a communication module designed for information exchange among the multi-UAV system and the dynamic environment. A series of simulations of multi-UAV searching and attacking the moving targets are carried out, in which the search-attack mission completeness, execution efficiency and system suitability of the DISOMP algorithm are analyzed. The simulation results exhibit that the DISOMP algorithm based on online distributed down-top strategy is characterized by good flexibility, scalability and adaptability, in the dynamic targets searching and attacking problem.展开更多

It is noteworthy that a cooperative strategy of the target-defender team is applied,which has been proved more challe...A smart homing guidance strategy with control saturation against a target-defender team is derived. It is noteworthy that a cooperative strategy of the target-defender team is applied,which has been proved more challenging for the homing guidance.The defender missile is launched by the target and guided by a cooperative augmented proportional navigation(APN). At the same time, the target performs a one-switch maneuver to cooperate and minimize the defender's acceleration requirement. The problem is analyzed for arbitrary-order linear dynamics of the agents in the linearized form but validated by the mathematical simulations by using nonlinear kinematics. The perfect information of three agents' states is assumed. Then, a method to deal with the target-defender team is proposed. It contains a combined performance index penalizing the miss distance relative to the target and energy consumption in the whole duration. Besides, the specific miss distance related to the defender is regarded as an inequality constraint. An analytical solution for the smart guidance strategy against the APN guided defender is derived. Meanwhile, the control saturations are introduced to get more realistic and reasonable insights to this practical target-missile-defender problem. A simple but effective iterative searching technique is proposed to determine the saturation time points. The solution provides an optimal homing strategy to evade the defender with a specific miss distance and intercept the target with the minimum miss distance in the minimum energy manner. Nonlinear two-dimensional simulation results are used to validate the theoretical analysis. By comparison with the optimal differential game guidance(ODGG) and the combined minimum effort guidance(CMEG), the superiority of this smart guidance strategy is concluded.展开更多

Taking time delay of combustion and actuator into account, a simulation model of a PID control system for a turbine engine was developed. A performance index based on the integral of absolute error (IAE) was given as an objective function of optimization. In order to avoid the sensitivity that resulted from the initial values of the simplex search method, the traditional Ziegler-Nichols method was used to tune PID parameters to obtain the initial values at first, then the simplex search method was applied to optimize PID parameters for the turbine engine. Simulation results indicate that the simplex search method is a reasonable and effective method for PID controller parameters tuning and optimization.展开更多
