Educational cooperation,as the cornerstone and vanguard of people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Africa,holds irreplaceable strategic significance for enhancing the quality of Africa&#...Educational cooperation,as the cornerstone and vanguard of people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Africa,holds irreplaceable strategic significance for enhancing the quality of Africa's human capital and accelerating its structural transformation and modernization process.This paper employs“demand–supply–adaptation”as its core analytical framework and aims to systematically explore how the educational cooperation between China and Africa can serve Africa's goal of modernization more precisely and effectively.First,through reviewing and analyzing the domestic and international research literature,this paper clarifies the focus,paradigms,and shortcomings of existing research,identifying the knowledge contribution of this study.Second,utilizing detailed macro-level data,case studies,and comparative research methods,it comprehensively presents the multidimensional status,structural characteristics,and development trends of China–Africa educational cooperation in areas such as student exchanges,cooperative education,vocational and technical training,language and cultural exchange,and emerging digital education.This paper also deeply analyzes the pressing and specific demands placed on the education system by Africa's modernization development across key dimensions like economic diversification,industrialization,agricultural modernization,social governance upgrading,and digital transformation.Third,based on the cooperative principle of“Africa's needs and China's strengths,”this paper innovatively proposes systematic countermeasures and suggestions for constructing new,multi-level,high-quality,sustainable,and future-oriented pathways for China–Africa educational cooperation:(a)promoting the strategic focus of cooperation to extend from“hard infrastructure”support to empowering“soft infrastructure”;(b)deepening the integration of industry and education and school–enterprise collaboration to precisely align with Africa's industrial development needs;vigorously developing digital education and jointly building a smart education ecosystem to help Africa bridge the digital divide;(c)improving an evidence-based,third-party evaluation system for cooperative effectiveness and a full-process quality assurance system;and(d)promoting the collaborative participation of multiple actors including governments,schools,enterprises,think tanks,and social organizations to build a new cooperative pattern of coconstruction,co-governance,and shared benefits.展开更多

Edwin Gordon （1989, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2007） and promoted internationally by various institutions and organizations specifically accredited. It describes the influence of the videotaped supervision on the process, functions of monitoring, and evaluation of educational practices, starting with an empirical model that has guided the interventions in a study of supervision on training aimed at consolidating and developing professional skills in music education in early childhood. As a response to the complexity of modern health care,nursing education is undergoing significant transformation.This paper aims to explore changing dynamics in nursing education,highlighting trends,challenges,and the...As a response to the complexity of modern health care,nursing education is undergoing significant transformation.This paper aims to explore changing dynamics in nursing education,highlighting trends,challenges,and the potential of Design-Based Research(DBR)as a methodological approach for curricular enhancement.This study employed a qualitative synthesis methodology was utilised,employing a systematic literature analysis of peer-reviewed articles published from 2019 to 2023.Relevant studies were searched in primary databases such as PubMed,Scopus,and Google Scholar,using specific keywords pertaining to nursing education,innovative pedagogical approaches,and DBR.The review revealed significant trends in nursing education including empathy and resilience,cultural competence,technology,interprofessional education,as well as competency-based approaches.Major challenges included teacher shortages,limited clinical placements,technological adaptability,and student mental health issues.DBR became an approach to address these challenges and offers an iterative model for curriculum development and educational innovation.DBR is a systematic and collaborative way to improve nursing education.Despite the barriers to implementation,DBR can lead to a more applicable curriculum based on real-world healthcare needs and create a nimbler educational process to prepare nursing graduates for working in complex healthcare environments.展开更多

Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educat...Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educators by providing personalized feedback,facilitating interactive learning,and introducing innovative teaching methods.While many researchers have studied ChatGPT across various subject domains,few analyses have focused on the engineering domain,particularly in addressing the risks of academic dishonesty and potential declines in critical thinking skills.To address this gap,this study explores both the opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT in engineering contexts through a two-part analysis.First,we conducted experiments with ChatGPT to assess its effectiveness in tasks such as code generation,error checking,and solution optimization.Second,we surveyed 125 users,predominantly engineering students,to analyze ChatGPTs role in academic support.Our findings reveal that 93.60%of respondents use ChatGPT for quick academic answers,particularly among early-stage university students,and that 84.00%find it helpful for sourcing research materials.The study also highlights ChatGPT’s strengths in programming assistance,with 84.80%of users utilizing it for debugging and 86.40%for solving coding problems.However,limitations persist,with many users reporting inaccuracies in mathematical solutions and occasional false citations.Furthermore,the reliance on the free version by 96%of users underscores its accessibility but also suggests limitations in resource availability.This work provides key insights into ChatGPT’s strengths and limitations,establishing a framework for responsible AI use in education.Highlighting areas for improvement marks a milestone in understanding and optimizing AI’s role in academia for sustainable future use.展开更多

The reason that this small scale water elevator was constructed was to get a better understanding of such real world applications. As developing engineers, students have to grasp how to implement the theory they learn in the classroom. The properties of the water elevator were described with the energy equation, conservation of mass, volumetric flow rate, and hydrostatic pressure. After conducting various tests, theoretical and experimental values were compared and an analysis of the data was assembled allowing for the development of a more thorough understanding of fluid mechanics.展开更多

Reports in a book on randomized trials by Mosteller and Boruch are used as a benchmark. The initiatives have been driven heavily by recent governmental emphasis on ＂evidence based policy＂ in education, criminology, welfare and other sectors. This policy has been backed, in the US at least, by substantial investments in mounting randomized controlled trials to evaluate curriculum packages and programs in grades K-12, crime prevention programs, welfare, and other work. Accelerated growth in randomized trials has entailed cross discipline pre-doctoral and post-doctoral institutes and graduate education programs aimed at enhancing the quality in trial design, execution, and analysis of results. Specific illustrations of graduate education in this area of statistics are taken mainly from experience at the University of Pennsylvania＇s Graduate School of Education and selected other institutions.展开更多

文摘Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educators by providing personalized feedback,facilitating interactive learning,and introducing innovative teaching methods.While many researchers have studied ChatGPT across various subject domains,few analyses have focused on the engineering domain,particularly in addressing the risks of academic dishonesty and potential declines in critical thinking skills.To address this gap,this study explores both the opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT in engineering contexts through a two-part analysis.First,we conducted experiments with ChatGPT to assess its effectiveness in tasks such as code generation,error checking,and solution optimization.Second,we surveyed 125 users,predominantly engineering students,to analyze ChatGPTs role in academic support.Our findings reveal that 93.60%of respondents use ChatGPT for quick academic answers,particularly among early-stage university students,and that 84.00%find it helpful for sourcing research materials.The study also highlights ChatGPT’s strengths in programming assistance,with 84.80%of users utilizing it for debugging and 86.40%for solving coding problems.However,limitations persist,with many users reporting inaccuracies in mathematical solutions and occasional false citations.Furthermore,the reliance on the free version by 96%of users underscores its accessibility but also suggests limitations in resource availability.This work provides key insights into ChatGPT’s strengths and limitations,establishing a framework for responsible AI use in education.Highlighting areas for improvement marks a milestone in understanding and optimizing AI’s role in academia for sustainable future use.

文摘The digital-intelligent era presents both opportunities and challenges for specialized course education in universities.Based on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education,this study takes the course“Design and Guidance of Science Play Performance Activities”as an example to explore practical pathways for integrating ideological and political education into specialized courses within a digital-intelligent context.Employing literature review and action research methodologies,the study constructs a digital-intelligent teaching model,develops digital ideological and political resources,innovates teaching methods,and systematically identifies and deeply integrates ideological and political elements into the curriculum.Through practical validation,the research summarizes a curriculum design framework grounded in Tyler’s principles and a digital-intelligent teaching model based on BOPPPS,providing transferable pathways for ideological and political education in specialized courses.Furthermore,it offers theoretical support and practical references for the deep integration and innovative application of digital-intelligent technologies in education.

文摘This study employs bibliometric methods to conduct an empirical analysis of 53 vocational education projects approved under the National Education Science Planning(NESP)Program between 2020 and 2024 in higher vocational institutions(HVI)across China.The aim is to reveal the current state,developmental trajectory,key characteristics,and future directions of research in higher vocational education.The findings indicate that the number and categories of approved projects are significantly influenced by national policy orientations,exhibiting notable fluctuations and overall imbalances in distribution.The geographical distribution of project-leading institutions is uneven,and the distinctive characteristics of higher vocational colleges have yet to be fully demonstrated.While the research themes increasingly align with national vocational education policies,the construction of research teams remains weak.Based on the structural analysis of the approved projects,it is recommended that HVI focus on type-based positioning,coordinate research capacity with regional development needs,optimize the allocation of research resources,concentrate on key tasks such as quality improvement and excellence cultivation,and enhance the research motivation of young faculty members.These efforts are essential for advancing vocational education research toward a new stage of high-quality development.

文摘Based on 1,003 articles about empirical research on interpreting teaching from 2002 to 2022 retrieved from China National Knowledge Internet,this paper extracts three main research methods,uncovering common problems in interpreting education and practical teaching suggestions:(1)Corpus-based researches collect numerous audios to study typical mistakes made by interpreting learners,particularly pause and self-repair,and suggest interpreting teaching improve learners’ability to use language chunks and encourage students to interpret smoothly;(2)Questionnaire surveys help understand requirements for professional interpreters and how interpreting teaching meets market demands;(3)Teaching experiments last for one to two semesters,addressing issues like outdated teaching materials and modes,and show how teaching materials and modes integrate modern technology.But empirical researches need to build new corpora,professional interpreters’corpora and address problems that haven’t been adequately discussed.This paper is helpful for improving interpreting education in China and other countries and for making clear tasks to be fulfilled in empirical research on interpreting education.

文摘“Five education”is pivotal for students’all-round development.However,primary English teaching currently faces challenges including the superficial implementation of“Five education”.This study employed action research to explore practical methods for integrating English picture book with textbook to implement“Five education”.Through two rounds of iterative action research,a three-stage activity-based teaching path was developed and refined,enabling the progressive infusion of“Five education”objectives across the learning cycle.Findings demonstrated that this integrated approach-particularly when supported by strategies such as picture book background videos and audio-edited narrative connections-effectively deepened the implementation of“Five education”,mitigated student reading fatigue,and significantly improved students’reading fluency and labor initiative,thus provided a replicable practical paradigm for realizing“Five education simultaneously”.
文摘This project involves modeling a water elevator in order to study its behavior and relate its mechanical advantages to various fluid mechanics properties. The reason that this small scale water elevator was constructed was to get a better understanding of such real world applications. As developing engineers, students have to grasp how to implement the theory they learn in the classroom. The properties of the water elevator were described with the energy equation, conservation of mass, volumetric flow rate, and hydrostatic pressure. After conducting various tests, theoretical and experimental values were compared and an analysis of the data was assembled allowing for the development of a more thorough understanding of fluid mechanics.

文摘This invited paper reviews recent initiatives in teaching about randomized field trials at the graduate level in education research. Reports in a book on randomized trials by Mosteller and Boruch are used as a benchmark. The initiatives have been driven heavily by recent governmental emphasis on ＂evidence based policy＂ in education, criminology, welfare and other sectors. This policy has been backed, in the US at least, by substantial investments in mounting randomized controlled trials to evaluate curriculum packages and programs in grades K-12, crime prevention programs, welfare, and other work. Accelerated growth in randomized trials has entailed cross discipline pre-doctoral and post-doctoral institutes and graduate education programs aimed at enhancing the quality in trial design, execution, and analysis of results. Specific illustrations of graduate education in this area of statistics are taken mainly from experience at the University of Pennsylvania＇s Graduate School of Education and selected other institutions.
文摘The intent of this article is to examine educational research not only plays a vital role in, but also makes a positive contribution to educational practice. By means of research of secondary source collection, relevant evidence is selected, evaluated and organized into three key areas:guidance and methodology to educators, improved quality of teaching and learning and the evolution of education. In order to explain those three benefits obtained from the educational research, examples based on ESL researches and experts' opinions are used. The research results strongly show that educational research is valuable in providing guidance and methodology to educators, improving quality of teaching and learning and promoting the evolution of education. Based on these findings, educational research is definitely beneficial and significant for educational practice In the future, more extensive researches should be constantly be conducted. Besides, educators should evaluate researches in order to realize a desirable teaching effect.

文摘Artificial intelligence(AI)tools,like OpenAI's Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer(ChatGPT),hold considerable potential in healthcare,academia,and diverse industries.Evidence demonstrates its capability at a medical student level in standardized tests,suggesting utility in medical education,radiology reporting,genetics research,data optimization,and drafting repetitive texts such as discharge summaries.Nevertheless,these tools should augment,not supplant,human expertise.Despite promising applications,ChatGPT confronts limitations,including critical thinking tasks and generating false references,necessitating stringent cross-verification.Ensuing concerns,such as potential misuse,bias,blind trust,and privacy,underscore the need for transparency,accountability,and clear policies.Evaluations of AI-generated content and preservation of academic integrity are critical.With responsible use,AI can significantly improve healthcare,academia,and industry without compromising integrity and research quality.For effective and ethical AI deployment,collaboration amongst AI developers,researchers,educators,and policymakers is vital.The development of domain-specific tools,guidelines,regulations,and the facilitation of public dialogue must underpin these endeavors to responsibly harness AI's potential.
