Ideological and political course plays an important role in the curriculum system in terms of political guidance and value guidance. As a special group in special education, hearing-impaired students' effect of ideological and political course directly affects their personality formation and values establishment. Under the background of integrated ideological and political education, the material conditions, emphasis and teaching methods of the ideological and political theory course for hearing-impaired students in special education schools have been greatly improved. This paper focuses on the educational objectives, educational content, teaching materials and teachers of the ideological and political theory course for hearing-impaired students, explores the problems existing in the construction of the ideological and political theory course for hearing-impaired students in special education schools, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures, so as to promote the construction and development of the ideological and political theory course for hearing-impaired students in special education schools, especially for hearing-impaired students.展开更多

Many parents often choose special education schools to educate autistic children in order to promote their language and behavior development. However, how to train the language and behavior of autistic children is a problem that needs to be considered when facing autistic children in special education schools. Purpose This study aimed to explore the perspectives of students with special education needs(SEN)and of relevant stakeholders on how they make decisions when choosing educational placements.Design/Approach/Methods Ei...Purpose This study aimed to explore the perspectives of students with special education needs(SEN)and of relevant stakeholders on how they make decisions when choosing educational placements.Design/Approach/Methods Eight students with SEN(four with intellectual disabilities and four with physical disabilities)who had transferred between special and regular education schools and their stakeholders,including parents,school principals,classroom teachers,and students without SEN,participated in the interviews.Findings Findings revealed that students with SEN were torn between the two forms of conflict placement.Different educational placements implied different educational methods and effects,and educational effects contributed to placement choices in return.Placement decisions largely relied on SEN students’abilities,stakeholders’attitudes,and school policies,with SEN students’abilities being the most dominant factor,implying a model based on personal ability instead of rights and support.Originality/Value The Chinese government should formulate and implement policies to bring about more systematic changes in the education system and ensure adequate resources and professional support for students with SEN.展开更多
