We first discretize the differential equation of the secondary potential field with mixed boundary conditions by using a seven-point finite-difference method to obtain a large sparse system of linear equations. Then, we introduce the theory behind the pairwise aggregation algorithms for AGMG and use the conjugate-gradient method with the V-cycle AGMG preconditioner (AGMG-CG) to solve the linear equations. We use typical geoelectrical models to test the proposed AGMG-CG method and compare the results with analytical solutions and the 3DDCXH algorithm for 3D DC modeling (3DDCXH). In addition, we apply the AGMG-CG method to different grid sizes and geoelectrical models and compare it to different iterative methods, such as ILU-BICGSTAB, ILU-GCR, and SSOR-CG. The AGMG-CG method yields nearly linearly decreasing errors, whereas the number of iterations increases slowly with increasing grid size. The AGMG-CG method is precise and converges fast, and thus can improve the computational efficiency in forward modeling of three-dimensional DC resistivity.展开更多

Beginning with Maxwell's equations for an anisotropic model, we introduce scalar potentials based on the divergence-free characteristic of the electric and magnetic (EM) fields. We then continue the EM fields down into the deep earth and upward into the seawater and couple them at the ocean bottom to the transmitting source. By studying both the DC apparent resistivity curves and their polar plots, we can resolve the anisotropy of the ocean bottom. Forward modeling of a high-resistivity thin layer in an anisotropic half-space demonstrates that the marine DC resistivity method in shallow water is very sensitive to the resistive reservoir but is not influenced by airwaves. As such, it is very suitable for oil and gas exploration in shallowwater areas but, to date, most modeling algorithms for studying marine DC resistivity are based on isotropic models. In this paper, we investigate one-dimensional anisotropic forward modeling for marine DC resistivity method, prove the algorithm to have high accuracy, and thus provide a theoretical basis for 2D and 3D forward modeling.展开更多

A global stiff matrix is assembled and stored in two parts separately. One part is associated with the volume integral and the other is associated with the subsurface boundary integral. The equivalent multiple linear systems with closer right-hand sides than the original systems were constructed. A recycling Krylov subspace technique was employed to solve the multiple linear systems. The solution of the seed system was used as an initial guess for the subsequent systems. The results of two numerical experiments show that the improved algorithm reduces the iterations and CPU time by almost 50%, compared with the classical preconditioned conjugate gradient method.展开更多

Numerical results show that their influences decrease with the increase of the plasma temperature. The significant discriminations among them appear at the plasma temperature lower than 2.5 eV, and the maximum gap of the pulsed inductive plasma accelerated efficiency is approximately 2.5%.Moreover, the pulsed inductive plasma accelerated efficiency is absolutely related to the dynamic impedance parameters, such as voltage, inductance, capacitance and flow rate. However, the distribution of the efficiency as a function of plasma temperature with three resistivity models has nothing to do with the dynamic impedance parameter.展开更多

In this paper, we investigate one-dimensional anisotropic forward modeling for marine DC resistivity method, prove the algorithm to have high accuracy, and thus provide a theoretical basis for 2D and 3D forward modeling.

文摘Drug resistance is one of the most intractable issues in targeted therapy for cancer diseases. It has also been demonstrated to be related to cancer heterogeneity, which promotes the emergence of treatment-refractory cancer cell populations.Focusing on how cancer cells develop resistance during the encounter with targeted drugs and the immune system,we propose a mathematical model for studying the dynamics of drug resistance in a conjoint heterogeneous tumor-immune setting. We analyze the local geometric properties of the equilibria of the model.Numerical simulations show that the selectively targeted removal of sensitive cancer cells may cause the initially heterogeneous population to become a more resistant population. Moreover, the decline of immune recruitment is a stronger determinant of cancer escape from immune surveillance or targeted therapy than the decay in immune predation strength.Sensitivity analysis of model parameters provides insight into the roles of the immune system combined with targeted therapy in determining treatment outcomes.

文摘With the constantly changing engineering construction sector, the detection accuracy of conventional electrical resistivity tomography(ERT)is no longer sufficient.A multichannel electrode design(MERT)-based ERT is introduced in this paper to address the growing need for resolution. The imaging accuracy of the ERT method is improved through the collection of apparent resistivity data in various directions by measuring the potential diff erence between diff erent channels.Numerical simulation results of the inclined high-resistivity anomaly model reveal that MERT is a precise representation of the shape, inclined direction, and buried depth of the anomaly, with thoroughfare M2N2 producing the most precise forward and inverse results.Based on the analysis results of the model resolution matrix, when the buried depth of power supply points and the gap between potential acquisition points are 30%-90%and 30%-60%of the electrode distance, respectively, the MERT approach yields superior detection outcomes. The detection eff ect of the MERT method on anomalous bodies with diff erent burial depths under the optimal parameters also indicates that the MERT method can obtain richer potential change information with higher resolution in deep areas compared to the ERT method. With the implementation of the MERT approach, the scope of applications for ERT is expanded, the accuracy of ERT detection is increased, and the progress of near-surface fine detection is positively infl uenced.

文摘To study the anti-explosion protection effect of polyurea coating on reinforced concrete box girder, two segmental girder specimens were made at a scale of 1:3,numbered as G(without polyurea coating)and PCG(with polyurea coating). The failure characteristics and dynamic responses of the specimens were compared through conducting explosion tests. The reliability of the numerical simulation using LS-DYNA software was verified by the test results. The effects of different scaled distances, reinforcement ratios, concrete strengths, coating thicknesses and ranges of polyurea were studied. The results show that the polyurea coating can effectively enhance the anti-explosion performance of the girder. The top plate of middle chamber in specimen G forms an elliptical penetrating hole, while that in specimen PCG only shows a very slight local dent. The peak vertical displacement and residual displacement of PCG decrease by 74.8% and 73.7%,respectively,compared with those of specimen G.For the TNT explosion with small equivalent, the polyurea coating has a more significant protective effect on reducing the size of fracture. With the increase of TNT equivalent, the protective effect of polyurea on reducing girder displacement becomes more significant. The optimal reinforcement ratio, concrete strength, thickness and range of polyurea coating were also drawn.

文摘The prediction accuracy of existing models of the rolling force of a thick plate is always very low.To address this problem,a high-precision genetic algorithm-backpropagation network(GA-BP)model of deformation resistance was built, and its integration with the traditional fitted model was further established. Then,a novel rolling force model was obtained by embedding the integration model of deformation resistance in the original model of rolling force.According to this research idea, the industrial data are normalized at first. On this basis, the interactions among the process parameters were disclosed through the variance analysis, and then described by various virtual factors. These factors are set as part of input parameters. Then, the optimal structure of the GA-BP model of deformation resistance was determined and an integration model of deformation resistance was built. Finally,a novel rolling force model is obtained by substituting the traditional fitted deformation resistance into the Sims model with the integration model of the deformation resistance. The results proves that the introduction of virtual factors can increase the hit rate of±5%from 75.8%to 78%and can reduce the root mean square error from 4.72%to 4.48%.Besides,it is found that the mean relative error of the traditional fitted deformation resistance is 0.142,while that of the modified deformation resistance is only 0.03.In addition, the mean relative error in the original rolling force model is 0.145,while that of the present model is only 0.03.

文摘We highlighted the flexibility of using unstructured mesh together with the local refinement by a resistivity model with complicated topography. The effect of topography is emphasized. Based on this, we calculated a specific class of layered models and found that the accuracy is not always satisfactory by utilizing the standard approach. As an improvement, we employed the layered earth as the reference model to calculate the wavenumbers. The comparison demonstrates that the accuracy is considerably improved by using this enhanced approach.

文摘The strategies that minimize the overall solution time of multiple linear systems in 3D finite element method (FEM) modeling of direct current (DC) resistivity were discussed. The results of two numerical experiments show that the improved algorithm reduces the iterations and CPU time by almost 50%, compared with the classical preconditioned conjugate gradient method.

文摘The effects of three different typical resistivity models(Spitzer, Z&L and M&G) on the performance of pulsed inductive acceleration plasma are studied. However, the distribution of the efficiency as a function of plasma temperature with three resistivity models has nothing to do with the dynamic impedance parameter.

文摘Intense evaporation in areas with loess-like sulfate saline soils has resulted in significant ecological challenges that include water shortages and soil salinization.Investigating evaporation rate in loess-like sulfate saline soils under varying salt contents carries crucial implications for understanding regional water loss processes, predicting soil salinization advancement, and formulating effective ecological management strategies. Therefore, this study sampled the loess-like sulfate saline soil that is widely distributed in western China as experimental materials and investigated the impact of different initial salt contents(0.00%,0.50%,1.50%,3.00%,and 5.00%)on the evaporation rate, water content, and temperature of soil. The results showed that the evaporation rate decreased with increasing initial salt content. After a salt accumulation layer formed on the soil surface, the water content of the surface soil fluctuated. An increase in the initial salt content resulted in a corresponding increase in the surface temperature.Considering the evaporation characteristics of loess-like sulfate saline soil and the impact of an anomalous increase in surface soil water content on soil surface resistance, this study proposed a modified evaporation model on the basis of Fujimaki's evaporation model of saline soil by introducing a correction coefficientβto modify the soil surface resistance.A comparison of the calculated evaporation rates before and after the modification with the measured evaporation rates revealed a significant improvement in the calculation accuracy of the modified model, indicating that the modified model is capable of more accurately simulating the evaporation rate of sulfate saline soil with different initial salt contents. This paper proposes an effective method for calculating the evaporation rate of loess-like sulfate saline soils, providing a theoretical basis for evaporation research in saline soil.

文摘In this work, the selected icebreaker model experiment is performed in a towing tank.We focus on the influence of seawater salinity on ship ice resistance in the ice floe field and the innovative ice model and ship model test technology, including the similitude rule of ship model tests, test principles, and validation with full-scale ship data.A formula for calculating the relationship between the temperature and salinity of the water is constructed, which can be used to simulate the role of seawater in freshwater ice pools. On this basis, the effect of salinity on the resistance of ships sailing in broken ice fields is studied.A technique in which artificial ice made of polyethylene spheres is used to simulate ice resistance is proposed. With a series of ship model experiments in spherical and triangular ice fields, the effects of salinity and velocity on the ice resistance test of the ship model are analyzed.A relationship of the ice resistance of the ship model to the spherical ice field and the triangular ice field is proposed. The conversion results are consistent with onsite data of the full-size ship, which verifies the method of converting the test results of the ship model to the prototype.
文摘BACKGROUND Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT2)inhibitors are widely used for the tr-eatment of type 2 diabetes(T2D).AIM To evaluate the influence of SGLT2 inhibitors on homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)andβ-cell function(HOMA-β)in patients with T2D in a meta-analysis.METHODS Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)comparing SGLT2 inhibitors to placebo in T2D patients, with a minimum treatment duration of 12 weeks, were searched using the PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane Library databases.Risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool, and the certainty of evidence was evaluated using the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)system.Changes in HOMA-IR and HOMA-βwere the outcomes analyzed.Meta-analyses were performed using a random-effects model by incorporating the potential influences of heterogeneity.RESULTS Of 1388 articles identified,24 RCTs met the inclusion criteria.23 of the included studies were double-blind RCTs with low risk of bias.Pooled results including 2272 patients showed that SGLT2 inhibitors significantly reduced HOMA-IR compared to placebo[mean difference(MD)=-0.81,95%confidence interval(CI):-1.11 to-0.52,P<0.001;I2=82%],indicating reduced insulin resistance.Addi-tionally,meta-analysis with 2845 patients suggested that SGLT2 inhibitors significantly increased HOMA-β(MD=7.90,95%CI:5.44-10.37,P<0.001;I2=74%)compared to placebo in patients with T2D,indicating improvedβ-cell function.Based on GRADE assessment, the certainty of evidence was rated moderate for both outcomes due to heterogeneity.Subgroup analyses showed that HOMA-βincreased more substantially in non-Asian studies than in Asian studies(P for subgroup difference<0.01).Subgroup analyses according to the individual medications of SGLT2 inhibitors all showed significant improvement of HOMA-IR and HOMA-β(P all<0.05).No significant publication bias was detected(P for Egger’s test all>0.05).CONCLUSION SGLT2 inhibitors are associated with improvements in insulin resistance andβ-cell function in patients with T2D,although the certainty of evidence is moderate due to heterogeneity.
文摘Insulin resistance(IR)is widely recognized as a key contributor to metabolic disorders, and various surrogate indices have been developed to estimate IR in clinical and research settings. The hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp is considered the gold standard method for assessing insulin resistance due to its precision;however, its complexity limits its widespread clinical application.Consequently, surrogate indices derived from fasting and post-load glucose and insulin levels have been developed to estimate IR,facilitating early detection and risk stratification in metabolic disorders. This mini-review discusses the clinical utility, strengths, and limitations of key IR indices, including the homeostasis model assessment of IR,quantitative insulin sensitivity check index,Matsuda index, and triglyceride-glucose index.Overall, the evidence presented to date suggests that these indices provide valuable estimates of IR in various popula-tions.Yet,their applicability varies depending on ethnic background, disease status, and clinical setting.Integrating these indices into routine clinical practice and research could improve metabolic risk assessment and guide preventive interventions.Further investigations are necessary to refine their accuracy and determine optimal cut-off values for various populations.
