Urban construction land suitability evaluation (UCLSE) is a complex system engineering and the basis for rational use of the limited urban land resources in China. It has an important practical value on urban constr...Urban construction land suitability evaluation (UCLSE) is a complex system engineering and the basis for rational use of the limited urban land resources in China. It has an important practical value on urban construction land use planning and management from the angle of methodology. As a widely used technique, traditional multi-criteria evaluation based on GIS (MCE-GIS), is not suitable for UCLSE. This study develops an improved MCE-GIS method which could be more suitable for UCLSE based on urban complex ecological system theory and the summary of the shortcomings of traditional MCE-GIS. The improvements include three aspects: a composite evaluation index system rather than natural indexes alone, an index weight calculated by using fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method rather than the common AHP method, and the integrated overlay rule, which includes selecting the minimum value, weighted linear combination (WLC) and simple summation. The main advantage of this improved technique is that it can make UCLSE more comprehensive, more operational and more reasonable. It can provide a scientific basis for decision making in the planning and management of urban construction land use. The improved MCE-GIS system has been adopted in the New Hefei City, Anhui Province, China. Based on the results of UCLSE in New Hefei, three functional areas including construction-appropriate areas, construction-restricted areas and construction-forbidden areas could be worked out, in which 36.90% of the total study area could be developed as urban construction land and the remaining 63.10% should be protected as reserves land or as ecological land. Furthermore, the results can orovide scientific decision suooort for spatial planning and eco-environment nrotection in New Hefei.展开更多

A 300 msw trimixed saturation diving experiment was successfully conducted in the compl...The 300 msw Simulated Saturation Diving Chamber Complex was designed and built by ourselves. It was completed at the end of 1985. A 300 msw trimixed saturation diving experiment was successfully conducted in the complex by Chinese Underwater Technology Institute(CUTI) from May 22 to June 12 of 1987. During the experiment, 4 divers habitated in the complex for 20 days, and they performed 16 person-time excursion dives and 8 other tests. The result of the experiment indicates that the complex is well designed, suitably configurated, wholly integrated and steadily run, as well as of low leakage. The main functions of the complex have approached to those of the same kind in the world. The complex can be used as a basic facility for serving the nation's saturation diving technology, underwater operation, personnel training, etc.展开更多

The principal clinical features of PD ...Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting approximately 10 million people world- wide (Planetta et al., 2014; Zigmond and Smeyne, 2014). The principal clinical features of PD are bradykinesia, rigidity, tremor at rest and postural instability (Planetta et al., 2014). It is known that both PD itself and the use of anti-parkinson drugs are associated with several non-motor symptoms such as cognitive impairment, neuropsychiatric disturbances and sleep, autonomic, and sensory disorders (Park and Stacy, 2009; Foster et al., 2014). The histopathological hallmark of PD is the reduction of dopaminergic cells in the substantia nigra pars compacta, causing dopamine deficiency in spe- cific nuclei of the basal ganglia such as the dorsal striatum (Fearnley and Lees, 1991; Planetta et al., 2014). We further extrapolate the location of the solar maximum number of Sunspots, of which the prediction made is about 115 in the year 2025 and identify the arrival to the minimum in the year 2031, forecasting the main characteristics for the current Solar Cycle 25 and list a short comparison with a few other predictions.展开更多
This study investigated the effect of hydrogen-rich atomic water on eye fatigue.The experimental results show that hydrogen-rich atomic water can reduce oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction in the eye,and has a ...This study investigated the effect of hydrogen-rich atomic water on eye fatigue.The experimental results show that hydrogen-rich atomic water can reduce oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction in the eye,and has a significant improvement effect on myopia and visual fatigue,with high safety and no obvious adverse reactions.The results of myopia and visual fatigue improvement experiment showed that the prevalence of myopia in the control group was 15%,and the prevalence of myopia in the experimental group was 5%.The prevalence of myopia in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group.The ocular symptoms of the experimental group were better than those of the control group in the improvement of fatigue,dry eyes,red blood stains and other symptoms.The patient satisfaction score of the experimental group was 95.5%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group.There were no adverse events such as allergic reactions or skin irritation in the experimental group and the control group during the whole experiment.展开更多
