In this paper, an experiment has been done producing ring spun cotton yarn directly from finisher drawn sliver eliminating the roving frame. Total 3 types of yarn with the various linear density of 8 Ne, 10 Ne & 12 Ne were produced using a roving frame and without using a roving frame. In the next step, physical and mechanical properties of those yarns including unevenness, imperfections, hairiness & tenacity were investigated. The result showed that ring spun cotton yarns produced from sliver exhibited inferior physical and mechanical properties compared with samples from the conventional ring spinning system.展开更多

To ensure the constant spinning tension all over the spinning process, a feedforward controller using iterative learning control algorithm is desigend to avoid disturbances caused by changes of temperature, humidity and so on. Characteristics and design parameters of the air spring are explored in this study. Based on analyses of winding technology for this kind of package, the kinetic laws of the thread guide is put forward. General design equations of the cam profile are derived, and common kinetic laws of II linkage group which is used for such mechanism design is proposed. It proves theoretically that it is practicable. The experimental results indicate that it can meet the needs of technological demands, and the new thread guide mechanism has been used successfully on textile machines.展开更多

First, distribution rules of the arch structure were summarized. According to the load condition and the structure of the frame, a mechanical model of arch structure was devel- oped, and two solutions for the model were analyzed and compared with each other. Through the a- nalysis, application rules of arch structure for improving the design were obtained. Then, distribu- tion rules of peltate venation structure were summarized. By using the same method, application rules of peltate venation structure for improving the design were also obtained. Finally, mechanical problem of the frame was described, and rib arrangement of the frame was redesigned. A parameter optimization for the widths of ribs in bionic arrangement was also carried out to accomplish the im- proving design. Comparison between bionic and conventional reinforcing frames shows that the weight is reduced by as much as 15.3%.展开更多
To evaluate the importance of the canyon topography effects on large structures, based on a rigid frame bridge across a 137-m-deep and 600-m-wide canyon, the seismic response of the canyon site is analyzed using a two...To evaluate the importance of the canyon topography effects on large structures, based on a rigid frame bridge across a 137-m-deep and 600-m-wide canyon, the seismic response of the canyon site is analyzed using a two-dimensional finite element model under different seismic SV waves with the assumptions of vertical incidence and oblique incidence to obtain the ground motions, which are used as the excitation input on the pier foundations of the bridge with improved large mass method. The results indicate that canyon topography has significant influences on the ground motions in terms of inci- dent angle. The peak ground acceleration values vary greatly from the bottom of the canyon to the upper comers. Under ver- tical incident SV waves, at the upper comers of canyon the peak ground accelerations greatly increase; whereas the peak ground accelerations diminish at the bottom comers of canyon. Under oblique incident SV waves, the shaking of the canyon slope perpendicular to the incidence direction is much more severe than that of the opposite side of canyon. And the ground surface has been characterized by larger deformations in the case of oblique incident waves. It is also concluded that the low piers and frame of the continuous rigid frame bridge ape more sensitive to the multi-support seismic excitations than the flexible high piers. The canyon topography as well as the oblique incidence of the waves brings the continuous rigid frame bridge severe responses, which should be taken into account in bridge design.展开更多
Aiming at the problem of music noise introduced by classical spectral subtraction,a shorttime modulation domain(STM)spectral subtraction method has been successfully applied for singlechannel speech enhancement.Howeve...Aiming at the problem of music noise introduced by classical spectral subtraction,a shorttime modulation domain(STM)spectral subtraction method has been successfully applied for singlechannel speech enhancement.However,due to the inaccurate voice activity detection(VAD),the residual music noise and enhanced performance still need to be further improved,especially in the low signal to noise ratio(SNR)scenarios.To address this issue,an improved frame iterative spectral subtraction in the STM domain(IMModSSub)is proposed.More specifically,with the inter-frame correlation,the noise subtraction is directly applied to handle the noisy signal for each frame in the STM domain.Then,the noisy signal is classified into speech or silence frames based on a predefined threshold of segmented SNR.With these classification results,a corresponding mask function is developed for noisy speech after noise subtraction.Finally,exploiting the increased sparsity of speech signal in the modulation domain,the orthogonal matching pursuit(OMP)technique is employed to the speech frames for improving the speech quality and intelligibility.The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated with three types of noise,including white noise,pink noise,and hfchannel noise.The obtained results show that the proposed method outperforms some established baselines at lower SNRs(-5 to +5 dB).展开更多
For effectively improving the overall performance of fire truck frame structure,and solving the complexity of previous methods in the frame optimization design process,the traditional grey relational grade ranking nee...For effectively improving the overall performance of fire truck frame structure,and solving the complexity of previous methods in the frame optimization design process,the traditional grey relational grade ranking needs to be improved.First,the first-order modal test was conducted to verify the validity of the initial frame model.Then,based on this model,a high-strength steel frame was designed to reduce deformation,maximum stress,and frame mass,and increase the fatigue life and the frequencies of the first bending modal and first torsional modal.Sixty groups of sample points were generated through Hammersley method.Subsequently,improved grey relational analysis with principal component analysis was proposed to realize the optimal design of the frame structure.Finally,the optimal combination of design parameters for the frame was obtained using the proposed method.Meanwhile,the optimized frame structure is found by comparing the models before and after optimization,and the mass is reduced by 14.8%.Moreover,the computational cost can be reduced by 135%when the proposed method is compared with the previous algorithm.Therefore,the proposed method can effectively improve the performance of the frame and improve the computational efficiency.展开更多
