The elasto-plastic dynamic behaviors of three spatial latticed structures, including two double-layer cylindrical shells and one spherical shell constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, were quantitatively examined under multi-support excitation (MSE) and uniform support excitation (USE). In the numerical analyses, several important parameters were investigated such as the peak acceleration and displacement responses at key joints, the number and distribution of plastic members, and the deformation of the shell at the moment of collapse. Analysis results reveal the features and the failure mechanism of the spatial latticed structures under MSE and USE. In both scenarios, the double-layer reticulated shell collapses in the "overflow" mode, and the collapse is governed by the number of invalid plastic members rather than the total number of plastic members, beginning with damage to some of the local regions near the supports. By comparing the numbers and distributions of the plastic members under MSE to those under USE, it was observed that the plastic members spread more sufficiently and the internal forces are more uniform under MSE, especially in cases of lower apparent velocities in soils. Due to the effects of pseudo-static displacement, the stresses in the members near the supports under MSE are higher than those under USE.展开更多

K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures have superior potential due to their fewer joints and lower cost of manufacture and installation. A numerical study was presented on the dynamic responses of K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures subjected to different kinds of dynamic load. The results show that the inverted-K-type jacket structure has higher natural frequencies than the K-type. The wave force spectrum response shows that the maximum displacement of the K-type jacket structure is larger than that of the inverted-K-type. The time-history responses under wind and wave-current load indicate that the inverted-K-type jacket structure shows smaller displacement and stress compared with the K-type, and presents different stress concentration phenomena. The dynamic responses reveal that the inverted-K-type of jacket support structure has greater stiffness and superior mechanical properties, and thus is more applicable in the offshore area with relatively deep water.展开更多

To fulfill it, the polysulfone(PSf) supports with different surface pore structures were prepared. Two kinds of wide-accepted polymeric membrane materials, i.e., polyvinylamine(PVAm) and Pebax 1657 copolymer, were used as skin layer materials. To alleviate this problem of wind-induced in-plane vibration of mast arm signal structures, a particle-thrust damping based turned mass damper(PTD-TMD) device is adopted and its damping effect is characterized experimentally. The particle-thrust damping is a passive damping device that does not require electric power and is temperature independent. Based on the calibration test, an equivalent dynamic model of the PTD-TMD device is developed and used for numerical simulation study. The damping effects of this PTD-TMD device on signal support structures was investigated through both numerical analysis and laboratory testing of a 50-ft(15.24 m) mast arm structure including both free vibration and forced vibration tests. The experimental test and numerical study results show that vibration response behavior of mast arm signal support structures can be significantly reduced by installing the PTD-TMD that can increase the critical damping ratio of the mast arm signal structures to 4%. The stress range at the welded connection between the mast arm and traffic pole is also reduced.展开更多

As a classification method where the underlying structural risk minimization inference rule is employed, SVM possesses excellent learning capacity with a small amount of information and good capability of generalization over the complete data. Hence, two approaches, i.e., SVM-based FORM and SVM-based MCS, were presented for the structural reliability analysis of the implicit limit state function. Compared to the conventional response surface method (RSM) and the artificial neural network (ANN), which are widely used to replace the implicit state function for alleviating the computation cost, the more important advantages of SVM are that it can approximate the implicit function with higher precision and better generalization under the small amount of information and avoid the "curse of dimensionality". The SVM-based reliability approaches can approximate the actual performance function over the complete sampling data with the decreased number of the implicit performance function analysis (usually finite element analysis), and the computational precision can satisfy the engineering requirement, which are demonstrated by illustrations.展开更多

Jackknife test shows that total prediction accuracy is 96.6% and higher than that given by other approaches. Besides, the specificity (Sp) and the Matthew's correlation coefficient (MCC) are also calculated for each protein structural class, the Sp is more than 88%, the MCC is higher than 92%, and the higher MCC and Sp imply that it is credible to use ID-SVM model predicting protein structural class. Supplying many scientific effective computing models, decision support ways and a lot of accurate reliable decision data, the DSS plays a critical part in helping engineering researchers to make correct decisions. Because the period for developing the DSS is relatively shorter, the new way improves the efficiency of establishing DSS greatly. It also makes the DSS of system structure more flexible and easy to expand.

文摘Backfill hydraulic support is the key equipment in achieving coal mining and solid backfilling simultaneously in solid backfill mining technology.Based on the summary and analysis of main types, basic structural properties and filed application of backfill hydraulic support, this work has firstly proposed the basic principle of backfill hydraulic support optimization design and provided the method of optimal design of key structural components, like four-bar linkage, rear canopy and tamping structure;the method is further elaborated as changing hinging position of upper bar to optimize four-bar linkage,by lengthening or shortening the rear canopy to optimize length ratio of canopy;and by changing length and hinging position of tamping structure as well as suspension height of backfill scrape conveyor to realize optimization of tamping structure. On this basis, the process of optimal design of backfill hydraulic support is built. The optimal design case of ZC5200/14.5/30 six columns-four bar linkage used in 7203 W workface of Zhaizhen Coal Mine shows that the backfill properties like horizontal roof gap, vertical horizontal gap, tamping angle and tamping head gap are improved obviously through optimizing four-bar linkage, canopy length and tamping structure according to the optimal design method proposed in this work.

文摘Large amplitude vibration of mast arm structures due to wind loads are the primary contributing factor to the reduced fatigue life of signal support structures. The stress range at the welded connection between the mast arm and traffic pole is also reduced.

文摘Support vector machine (SVM) was introduced to analyze the reliability of the implicit performance function, which is difficult to implement by the classical methods such as the first order reliability method (FORM) and the Monte Carlo simulation (MCS). The SVM-based reliability approaches can approximate the actual performance function over the complete sampling data with the decreased number of the implicit performance function analysis (usually finite element analysis), and the computational precision can satisfy the engineering requirement, which are demonstrated by illustrations.

文摘A new type of pit supporting structure, which was tested and verified using the sensor monitoring technology, was presented. The new supporting structure is assembled by prefabricated steel structural units. The adjacent steel structural units are jointed with fasteners, and each steel structural unit has a certain radian and is welded by two steel tubes and one piece of steel disc. In order to test and verify the reliability of the new supporting structure, the field tests are designed. The main monitoring programs include the hoop stress of supporting structure, lateral earth pressure, and soil deformation. The monitoring data of the field tests show that the new supporting structure is convenient, reliable and safe.

文摘The mining space of large mining height coal face is large, the range of movement and caving of rock strata is large and the stability of supports at coal face is low and damage rate of supports is high, which significantly affects the safe and efficient production of coal mines.By similar simulation experiment and theoretical analysis, the mode of fractured roofing structure of large mining height coal face and the method of determination of reasonable support resistance of the support was evaluated.Analysis shows that the structural mode of "combined cantilever beam – non-hinged roofing – hinged roofing" of the large mining height coal face appears at the roofing of large mining height coal face. The supporting factor of caved gangue at the gob is introduced, the calculating equations of the fractured step distance of roofing were derived and conventional calculating method of caved height of roofing was corrected and the method of determination of the length and height of each structural area of the roofing was provided. With reference to the excavating conditions at Jinhuagong coal mine in Datong minefield, the dimensions of structural areas of the roofing of the coal face were determined and analyzed, and reasonable support resistance of the height coal face was acquired.By selecting Model ZZ13000/28/60 support and with procedures of advanced pre-cracking blasting, the safe production of large mining height coal face was assured.
文摘This paper presents the structure models founded in shallow seam, the roof asymmetry arch with three articulations in roof first weighting and the step voussoir beam in roof periodic weighting. These structure models are differ from classic theory, it establishes the new roof control theory of instability structure roof, especially in shallow seam. Based on the new roof structure theory, the support working state of "given sliding load" is put forward, and the factor of load transmitting is introduced to determine the load on roof structure. Therefore, the proper and accurate calculating methods of support resistance are established. Based on this, the dynamic structure theory in shallow seam could be predicted.

文摘Based on the concept of the pseudo amino acid composition (PseAAC), protein structural classes are predicted by using an approach of increment of diversity combined with support vector machine (ID-SVM), in which the dipeptide amino acid composition of proteins is used as the source of diversity. The results indicate that: 1 the choice of the source of diversity is reasonable, 2 the predictive performance of IDSVM is excellent, and3 the amino acid sequences of proteins contain information of protein structural classes.
