A maintenance optimization system 'FREEDOM', which uses RBM technique, DCF (discounted cash flow) and NPV (net present value) calculation functions, has been newly developed. This system probabilistically evaluates the lifetime of boiler and turbine and quantitatively calculates the risk defined as the cumulative probability of failure multiplied by the consequence of failure. Economically optimized timing of inspection and alternative countermeasure such as repair and replacement are then recommended. Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on Caprini risk assessment scale for venous thromboembolism(VTE)in perioperative patients with liver cancer.Methods:A total of 128 hepatocellular cancer(HC...Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on Caprini risk assessment scale for venous thromboembolism(VTE)in perioperative patients with liver cancer.Methods:A total of 128 hepatocellular cancer(HCC)patients who were hospitalized in our department from January 2021 to March 2022 and met the research criteria were selected.According to odd and even numbers in the order of inclusion,64 cases were divided into two groups:a control group and an observation group.The control group received routine nursing intervention during perioperative period,while the observation group received nursing intervention based on Caprini risk assessment scale for VTE.The incidence of VTE and complications were compared between the two groups.Results:The incidence of VTE and postoperative complications in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nursing intervention based on Caprini risk assessment scale for VTE can reduce the incidence of perioperative deep vein thrombosis and complications in patients with liver cancer;thus,it is worthy of clinical application.展开更多
Rural mountain areas in Thailand have a high hazard potential for landslides.Settlements in hazardous areas are expanding and hill slopes are being deforested.Many former forest areas have been converted into agricult...Rural mountain areas in Thailand have a high hazard potential for landslides.Settlements in hazardous areas are expanding and hill slopes are being deforested.Many former forest areas have been converted into agricultural lands,thereby decreasing slope stabilities.Since the beginning of the 21^(st)century disasters caused by landslides have increased in Thailand.The landslides that lead to disasters in villages are in fact debris flows caused by heavy rains and landslides upstream.Landslides resulting from seismic activities are uncommon in Thailand.The landslide hazard risk in Thailand is defined by the hazard(the debris flow,i.e.,landslide prone areas)and the vulnerability(people living in landslide hazard areas).The landslide prone area mapping is based on the geology and the morphology,and the vulnerability upon settlements.The resulting landslide risk map was used to identify all risk areas and consequently the establishment of a community based landslide observation network has been able to reduce the landslide related risks.This network focuses on training local people to understand the risks related to landslides and provides villages with simple tools to detect early signs of threatening landslides and evacuate villagers to safe places.These networks have proven to be very successful,because it was possible to sensibilize and train villagers on the hazard and the risk with the result to effectively protect human lives during several landslide events.展开更多
Urban disaster risks show multi-stage evolution and interconnected coupling features.Under time pressure,case-based reasoning(CBR)has emerged as a critical method for risk management decision making.Case-based reasoni...Urban disaster risks show multi-stage evolution and interconnected coupling features.Under time pressure,case-based reasoning(CBR)has emerged as a critical method for risk management decision making.Case-based reasoning tackles target case problems by leveraging solutions from similar historical cases.However,the current case base is inadequate for storing systemic risk cases,thus impeding CBR efficacy.This article presents a city-level integrated case base with a nested cross structure to facilitate the use of CBR in systemic risk management.It comprises a multi-layer vertical dimension and a multi-scale horizontal dimension.The vertical dimension is optimized to a four-layer(environment-hazard-object-aftermath)risk scenario classification system with taxonomy and fuzzy clustering analysis.The horizontal dimension is improved to a three-scale(network-chain-pair)risk association mode using event chain theory and association analysis.Hazard acts as the pivotal link between the two dimensions.An illustrative example displays the use process of the proposed case base,along with a discussion of its CBR-supported applications.Through the digital transformation,the suggested case base can serve government decision making with CBR,enhancing the city’s capability to reduce systemic risk.展开更多
