Analysis on the Characterization of the Twist Insertion Level and Its Effect of the Compact and Ring Spun Yarns 被引量:5

In this paper, the difference of the twist insertion levels of the compact and ring spun yarns of the same count is analyzed based on the relationship of the yarn twist factor to the twist angle and the bulk density. It is proposed that the relationship of the twist angle, twist level, and the yarn diameter should be synthetically considered when evaluating the twist insertion level of the compact yarn. The twist angle of the compact yarn is smaller than that of the ring yarn with the same twist insertion level. This results from the ordered fiber arrangement and compact structure of the compact yarn. Experiment was conducted to verify the conclusions. It is also discovered that the selection of the twist factor of the compact yarn, which can be usually lower than that of the ring yarn by 10%-15%, can be determined based on the yarn tensile strength. 展开更多

In this paper, an experiment has been done producing ring spun cotton yarn directly from finisher drawn sliver eliminating the roving frame. Total 3 types of yarn with the various linear density of 8 Ne, 10 Ne & 12 Ne were produced using a roving frame and without using a roving frame. In the next step, physical and mechanical properties of those yarns including unevenness, imperfections, hairiness & tenacity were investigated. The result showed that ring spun cotton yarns produced from sliver exhibited inferior physical and mechanical properties compared with samples from the conventional ring spinning system. 展开更多

Traditional ring spinning system is associated with the several limitations, one of which is yarn hairiness. The awareness has been vibrantly growing among the spinning mills for reducing staple yarn hairiness because of its detrimental effects on the subsequent processes (i.e., weaving, knitting, dyeing etc.) and the quality of resultant textile products. As a result, modified form of ring frame has attracted a lot of attention among the researchers for making yarn with the lower level of hairiness value. Besides the raw material parameters and some processing variables, spinning triangle (ST) is the most critical region that has decisive influence on the distribution of fiber tensions and their spatial orientations and shapes in staple yarn body. Thus, using appropriate methods to control the spinning triangle geometry actively has been a vital issue in the field of yarn hairiness reduction. In this paper, it is attempted to make an overview on the spinning triangle based modifications of ring frame that have been designed and destined to reduce hairiness. By studying the variations of balloon height and of wind-ing radius in any one winding layer of ring spinning, the formula for determining the winding tension in any layer is derived, and then the overall tension variation throughout all winding layers can be computed. A meth-od of measuring the winding tension is also introduced here, with the measured results agreeing with the com-puted ones, and so the reliable relationship between winding tension, speed and ring traveller weight can be thus obtained. In this paper, through combining with the recent producing practice, systematically discussing and analysing the technology in the process of producing silk noil yarn by rotor spinning, we develop the new technology which is suited to produce silk noil yarn by rotor spinning, and address several noticable problems. The objective of this paper is to establish reliable prediction equations relating cotton fibreproperties measured by HVI system and yarn quality,A useful statistical method is adopted for de-veloping a multiple regression model interpreting the relation between the data of Spinlab HVIfibre properties and quality parameters of yarn STQ (Strength Tex Quotient).The percent relativecontribution of a fibre property with respect of STQ is also assessed.The results show that the totalcontribution of the HVI measured fibre properties can account for 77.4% of known variation ofyarn STQ.The main feature of the approach is its flexibility in accommodating all fibre properties.The examination of regression equation showed that it could be well applied to predict STQ ofyarns spun from the same spinning system,but,for different spinning systems and also for yarns ofdifferent linear density,modification of the equation would be needed. 展开更多

The technique of sirospun process is applied on a modified semi-worsted balloonless spinningframe to investigate the effect of spindle-speed,yarn-twist and strand-spacing on yarn properties.Yarn breaking strength,breaking extension,evenness and imperfection are examined on the basisof CCD experimental design.Yarn hairiness is particularly concerned,being found that all spinningparameters tested have significant effects on hairiness and that the minimum number of hairs oc-curs at the strand-spacing of 14.4 mm.Compared to conventional single spun yarn,experimentshave revealed the greatest advantage of using sirospun process is that all sirospun yarns have muchless hairiness.A new sirospun yarn fault,so called“loop”,has also been examined.The most likely cause forthis yarn fault is the strand-tension unbalance between the two strands when low tension spinningis applied.Further analysis and some initial tests have been carried out in the hope of overcomingthis loop fault which is an important obstacle to the application of balloonless spinning. 展开更多

短纤纱成形的本质是将散纤维加工成按纵向有序排列的线性集合体。短纤纱成形方法主要有开放端和握持端纺纱^([1])。开放端纺纱以转杯纺、涡流纺为代表,共同点在于:纤维须条在非握持状态下加捻成纱,加捻、卷绕位置分开,实现高速成纱;开... 短纤纱成形的本质是将散纤维加工成按纵向有序排列的线性集合体。短纤纱成形方法主要有开放端和握持端纺纱^([1])。开放端纺纱以转杯纺、涡流纺为代表,共同点在于:纤维须条在非握持状态下加捻成纱,加捻、卷绕位置分开,实现高速成纱;开放端纺纱以纤维缠绕结构为主,其中转杯纺以纤维搭接加捻缠绕方式成形,纱体呈内紧外松式层状包缠结构^([2]);涡流纺以前纤维尾端连续包缠后纤维头端的方式包缠成纱,纱体纤维呈螺旋直径递增的单螺旋包缠结构^([3]),纱表面光洁度、紧密度高,对应织物抗起球等级高。但包缠成纱结构决定了纱体纤维内外转移不足、抱合力差^([4]),纱强低、纱表摩擦易解缠,严重制约纱线高强稳固的高品质成形。 展开更多

为丰富条带纺纱线品种,基于环锭纺纱方法,以静电纺膜条带为纱芯、棉纤维为外包层,制备内置条带的静电纺热塑性聚氨酯(TPU)膜条带/棉复合纱。从模型构建和纱线纺制2个方面,探讨TPU膜条带/棉复合纱全包覆结构关键参数。通过建立最小全包... 为丰富条带纺纱线品种,基于环锭纺纱方法,以静电纺膜条带为纱芯、棉纤维为外包层,制备内置条带的静电纺热塑性聚氨酯(TPU)膜条带/棉复合纱。从模型构建和纱线纺制2个方面,探讨TPU膜条带/棉复合纱全包覆结构关键参数。通过建立最小全包覆量结构模型,获得外包层线密度理论临界值;通过实验研究前罗拉处喂入须条宽度,获得外包层线密度实际临界值。以TPU纳米纤维膜条带为芯纱,分别采用不同线密度棉粗纱为包覆层,通过双粗纱喂入模式制备3种复合纱。结果表明:当外包层线密度是理论临界值的2倍以上时,可制备出全包覆结构复合纱;此条件下制备的TPU膜条带/棉复合纱无漏芯现象,其断裂强度为13.43 cN/tex,断裂伸长率为45%。内置TPU膜条带纺纱技术可解决纳米纤维膜应用中力学性能低的瓶颈问题,并赋予复合纱较好的弹性。 展开更多
