This study aims to promote the optimization and upgrading of the economic structure in rural areas of China by focusing on the coupling coordination mechanism between digital economy–agriculture integration and rural...This study aims to promote the optimization and upgrading of the economic structure in rural areas of China by focusing on the coupling coordination mechanism between digital economy–agriculture integration and rural revitalization.By examining panel data from 30 Chinese provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities between 2011 and 2022,the research constructs a weight-based evaluation system that integrates subjective and objective methods and a coupling coordination model to reveal its dynamic evolution patterns.Key findings indicate that digital economy–agriculture integration and rural revitalization achieve cross-coupling through critical activities.The impact of digital-agriculture integration on advancing rural revitalization lags by 2–3 years.Although the coupling development degree between the two systems continues to improve,it remains at the stage of primary coordination.Regional disparities are significant,showing a gradient pattern of“high degree of coupling development in the east and low degree of coupling development in the west.”展开更多

Uncovering the evolution process of rural revitalization level(RRL)in China and elucidating the complex driving mechanism hold significant implications for implementing rural revitalization strategy and advancing rura...Uncovering the evolution process of rural revitalization level(RRL)in China and elucidating the complex driving mechanism hold significant implications for implementing rural revitalization strategy and advancing rural modernization.This study analyzes the spatio-temporal evolution of China's RRL from 2002 to 2022 and reveals its complex driving mechanism.The results show that China's RRL steadily increased from 0.1083 to 0.4463,and the provincial RRL exhibited the characteristic of decreasing successively in the eastern region,the central region,and the western region.The overall differences of RRL are shrinking,and intra-group differences contribute almost 1/3 of the overall variation,more than the contribution of inter-group differences.Although the influencing factors show nonlinear characteristics,on the whole,economic level and human capital exhibit positive effects,while relief degree,urbanization,industrialization,and opening degree exhibit negative effects.Farmland resources and investment intensity exhibit the characteristics of positive effect and negative effect equilibrium.At the regional scale,influencing factors exhibit significant spatio-temporal heterogeneity.In the future,to achieve comprehensive rural revitalization,it is vital to implement systemic policy measures,such as enhancing industrial competitiveness,supplementing rural talents,and optimizing the relations between urban and rural areas as well as between industry and agriculture.展开更多

This study investigates how green innovation drives rural revitalization in China’s sustainable development framework,focusing on institutional thresholds and spatial heterogeneity.We use panel data from 21 prefectur...This study investigates how green innovation drives rural revitalization in China’s sustainable development framework,focusing on institutional thresholds and spatial heterogeneity.We use panel data from 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province from 2009 to 2022 and apply a threshold regression model to examine both linear and nonlinear effects of green innovation.The results reveal that green innovation positively influences rural revitalization only after surpassing a critical level of regional innovation capacity.This critical threshold effect indicates that the benefits of green innovation for rural development are unevenly distributed and rely heavily on local absorptive capacity and institutional context.Our findings contribute to sustainability research,highlighting how green innovation interacts with policy-driven rural development goals,particularly in emerging economies.Furthermore,this research provides region-specific policy recommendations to support inclusive,innovation-driven,and environmentally sustainable revitalization strategies.This paper integrates institutional and sustainable development theory to provide a deeper understanding of the dynamic role of technological change in reshaping rural development pathways within the global green transition agenda.展开更多
Jiangsu,a Chinese province that actively pursues both economic progress and rural cultural protection within China’s new Rural Revitalization Strategy,is both a testbed of social engineering regarding the establishme...Jiangsu,a Chinese province that actively pursues both economic progress and rural cultural protection within China’s new Rural Revitalization Strategy,is both a testbed of social engineering regarding the establishment of modernization and the fusion of economic development and cultural heritage preservation.This work seeks to theoretically examine the dynamics of rural Chinese social,economic,and cultural structures from both macro and micro levels with a micro-level case study,to better understand what is the economic productivity and cultural revival in contemporary China,and more importantly,why they may not have optimal potential.Data came from 3-week trips to Huishan Ancient Town,Hongcun village in Huizhou,Changxing county in Anhui,and Zhouzhuang village in Suzhou,as well as from 18+primary and secondary literature surveys and country-level data such as annual China’s No.1 Central Document policies.Structural problems(lack of policy enforcement or implementation regarding cultural protection,improper waste and pollution,loose control of building)and well-functioning models of collaboration(relying upon cultures as engines to drive the local economy)of rural areas in China’s urban economy are highlighted here for proper understanding and examination of data sets.Case analysis through quantitative interpretations of policy measures,cross-sectoral model collaborations,and sustainability factors’impacts are applied in an integrated form to a novel structure of rural governance(bottom-up community innovation,technology-enhanced data capital,monetary reform regarding cultural heritage,adaptive policy design for optimal human well-being)that pushes for rural development in China’s contemporary background.展开更多

Huizhou etiquette and customs culture,as a significant element of China’s rural cultural system that integrates ethical profundity with the warmth of everyday life,embodies the collective memory and cultural identity...Huizhou etiquette and customs culture,as a significant element of China’s rural cultural system that integrates ethical profundity with the warmth of everyday life,embodies the collective memory and cultural identity of the regional community.In the context of social transformation characterized by informatization and globalization,the social structures and spatial domains that underpin traditional etiquette and customs are undergoing disruption.Focusing on Huizhou region as a case study,this paper investigates the transmission mechanisms and paths of identity reconstruction associated with etiquette and customs culture within the framework of media convergence.The research is conducted at three levels.First,at the symbolic catalyst level,the refinement of symbols and contextual translation facilitate the dynamic regeneration of Huizhou etiquette and customs symbols and reactivation of cultural significance.Second,at the media dimension level,a multi-dimensional communication system encompassing“the digital,social,and community layers”is constructed.Third,at the field identity level,the study analyzes how media convergence reorganizes material,social,and spiritual spaces to promote the reshaping of cultural identity among individuals and communities.Research indicates that the integration of digitalization,interactivity,and spatialization has transformed Huizhou etiquette and customs from static cultural heritage into a dynamic identity system,thereby facilitating a cultural cycle that“originating from the people and returning to the people”.展开更多

Global sustainable development cannot be achieved by neglecting rural areas.These regions represent vast territorial spaces beyond urban built-up areas,possessing comparative advantages through their distinctive ecolo...Global sustainable development cannot be achieved by neglecting rural areas.These regions represent vast territorial spaces beyond urban built-up areas,possessing comparative advantages through their distinctive ecological resources.The transformation of ecological resources into economic value,commonly referred to as ecological industrialization,enhances rural economic vitality and developmental potential.Comprehensive rural revitalization strengthens regional functionality and development resilience,thereby promoting sustainable rural development.Based on human-earth system science,we theorize ecological industrialization as the PGR model,manifesting the transformation path from“poor mountain”to“green mountain”and then to“rich mountain”.It is noteworthy that in regions endowed with beautiful ecological landscapes,the PGR model prioritizes the transformation of“green mountain”to“rich mountain”.The essence of rural revitalization manifests through areal transformations driven by tripartite forces:the rural internal force,urban peripheral force,and urban-rural interaction force.There is a mutually reinforcing relationship between ecological industrialization and rural revitalization,and the implementation of the two can realize the coordinated development of rural functions.In this process,rural areas have realized the transformation from degraded land system to human-earth coupling system.Furthermore,through the examination of Fuping,Liuba,and Sanming as exemplary case studies,we have distilled three distinct modes of ecological industrialization:the circular industry mode,the ecological tourism mode,and the carbon sink trading mode.It is recommended that rural areas prioritize the coordinated implementation of ecological industrialization and rural revitalization in accordance with regional characteristics,so as to better foster rural sustainable development.展开更多

文摘Jiangsu,a Chinese province that actively pursues both economic progress and rural cultural protection within China’s new Rural Revitalization Strategy,is both a testbed of social engineering regarding the establishment of modernization and the fusion of economic development and cultural heritage preservation.This work seeks to theoretically examine the dynamics of rural Chinese social,economic,and cultural structures from both macro and micro levels with a micro-level case study,to better understand what is the economic productivity and cultural revival in contemporary China,and more importantly,why they may not have optimal potential.Data came from 3-week trips to Huishan Ancient Town,Hongcun village in Huizhou,Changxing county in Anhui,and Zhouzhuang village in Suzhou,as well as from 18+primary and secondary literature surveys and country-level data such as annual China’s No.1 Central Document policies.Structural problems(lack of policy enforcement or implementation regarding cultural protection,improper waste and pollution,loose control of building)and well-functioning models of collaboration(relying upon cultures as engines to drive the local economy)of rural areas in China’s urban economy are highlighted here for proper understanding and examination of data sets.Case analysis through quantitative interpretations of policy measures,cross-sectoral model collaborations,and sustainability factors’impacts are applied in an integrated form to a novel structure of rural governance(bottom-up community innovation,technology-enhanced data capital,monetary reform regarding cultural heritage,adaptive policy design for optimal human well-being)that pushes for rural development in China’s contemporary background.

文摘Foshan Liang Garden,as a unique cultural heritage in the Lingnan region,possesses high artistic,scientific,and cultural value.Through field surveys and literature research,this paper sorts out the current problems in the protection and utilization of Foshan Liang Garden,establishes the basic principles of emphasizing both protection and revitalization and implementing them simultaneously,and summarizes methods for protection and utilization,including expanding funding channels,strengthening dynamic monitoring and scientific protection,exploring cultural connotations,and encouraging multi-stakeholder participation in joint construction.Furthermore,it proposes revitalization strategies such as empowering garden services with digital technology,integrating cultural resources to innovate cultural and creative products,promoting the museumization of idle functional spaces,and using cultural and educational activities for inheritance and dissemination.It is hoped that these measures will help Foshan Liang Garden better integrate into modern life,meet people’s diverse needs,and provide new ideas and methods for the protection and utilization of garden cultural heritage.
文摘Within the context of the rural revitalization strategy and the construction of ecological civilization,this study examines the village-level forest park construction project in Xijiao Village,Henghe Town,as an empirical case to investigate its planning,design,and practical implementation pathways.Drawing upon the distinctive natural landscape and local cultural assets of Xijiao Village,the research systematically addresses ecological conservation,functional zoning,and landscape development through vegetation transformation and infrastructure development,thereby comprehensively enhancing regional landscape quality and recreational functions.The project exemplifies that scientifically grounded and rational planning and construction can substantially improve rural living environments,foster the growth of rural ecotourism,and offer replicable planning models and practical insights for the development of village-level forest parks in comparable regions.

文摘This study examines the current state of vocational education in Guizhou and its role in facilitating the export of Guizhou goods beyond regional boundaries, and explores various strategies for vocational education to contribute to rural revitalization, including the optimization of professional and curriculum systems, the deepening of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the enhancement of brand development and marketing efforts, the strengthening of cross-border e-commerce and international cooperation capabilities, and the improvement of policy support and resource allocation systems. The findings aim to provide a theoretical foundation for Guizhou vocational education to support local economic development.

文摘Huizhou etiquette and customs culture,as a significant element of China’s rural cultural system that integrates ethical profundity with the warmth of everyday life,embodies the collective memory and cultural identity of the regional community.In the context of social transformation characterized by informatization and globalization,the social structures and spatial domains that underpin traditional etiquette and customs are undergoing disruption.Focusing on Huizhou region as a case study,this paper investigates the transmission mechanisms and paths of identity reconstruction associated with etiquette and customs culture within the framework of media convergence.The research is conducted at three levels.First,at the symbolic catalyst level,the refinement of symbols and contextual translation facilitate the dynamic regeneration of Huizhou etiquette and customs symbols and reactivation of cultural significance.Second,at the media dimension level,a multi-dimensional communication system encompassing“the digital,social,and community layers”is constructed.Third,at the field identity level,the study analyzes how media convergence reorganizes material,social,and spiritual spaces to promote the reshaping of cultural identity among individuals and communities.Research indicates that the integration of digitalization,interactivity,and spatialization has transformed Huizhou etiquette and customs from static cultural heritage into a dynamic identity system,thereby facilitating a cultural cycle that“originating from the people and returning to the people”.

文摘This study focuses on the talent supply-demand contradiction in grassroots employment under the Rural Revitalization Strategy.It systematically analyzes the internal and external driving mechanisms behind rural college students decisions to pursue careers at the grassroots level,exploring the"push-pull"factors and the guiding role of university counselors.Employing a mixed-methods approach combining literature review and in-depth interviews,the analysis reveals that urban employment competition pressure,high cost of living coupled with economic burdens,and household registration and social resource barriers constitute the primary"push"factors.Conversely,national policy support,emotional attachment to one s hometown and the need for value realization,as well as grassroots development opportunities and growth potential,serve as the main"pull"factors.University counselors play a significant guiding role in the employment decision-making process of rural college students.Through ideological guidance,information dissemination,capacity building,and psychological support,they enhance students job-seeking capabilities and adaptability to grassroots work,thereby strengthening their identification with such career paths.This paper provides practical insights for counselors facilitating the return of rural college students to grassroots employment.

文摘Global sustainable development cannot be achieved by neglecting rural areas.These regions represent vast territorial spaces beyond urban built-up areas,possessing comparative advantages through their distinctive ecological resources.The transformation of ecological resources into economic value,commonly referred to as ecological industrialization,enhances rural economic vitality and developmental potential.Comprehensive rural revitalization strengthens regional functionality and development resilience,thereby promoting sustainable rural development.Based on human-earth system science,we theorize ecological industrialization as the PGR model,manifesting the transformation path from“poor mountain”to“green mountain”and then to“rich mountain”.It is noteworthy that in regions endowed with beautiful ecological landscapes,the PGR model prioritizes the transformation of“green mountain”to“rich mountain”.The essence of rural revitalization manifests through areal transformations driven by tripartite forces:the rural internal force,urban peripheral force,and urban-rural interaction force.There is a mutually reinforcing relationship between ecological industrialization and rural revitalization,and the implementation of the two can realize the coordinated development of rural functions.In this process,rural areas have realized the transformation from degraded land system to human-earth coupling system.Furthermore,through the examination of Fuping,Liuba,and Sanming as exemplary case studies,we have distilled three distinct modes of ecological industrialization:the circular industry mode,the ecological tourism mode,and the carbon sink trading mode.It is recommended that rural areas prioritize the coordinated implementation of ecological industrialization and rural revitalization in accordance with regional characteristics,so as to better foster rural sustainable development.

文摘This paper examines the transformation and development of the Xinhui Chenpi industry under the rural revitalization strategy in China.The study highlights the significant growth of the industry,with the annual production of chenpi reaching approximately 7,000 tons and the total output value surpassing 26 billion yuan in 2024.The paper proposes strategies to foster sustainable growth in industries facing challenges such as inefficient production processes,inconsistent product quality,and a lack of policy awareness among operators.These strategies include optimizing support policies,enhancing regulatory frameworks,and leveraging digital technologies for brand building and market expansion.The research contributes to understanding the development trajectory of the Xinhui Chenpi industry and provides insights for policymakers and industry practitioners.

文摘In light of the swift advancement of China’s domestic social economy,the sustainable development of urban areas,the restoration of urban cultural contexts,the activation of urban cultural gene and space,and the progression of cities towards renewal,innovation,and development are inextricably linked to the evolution of urban culture.This encompasses the development of urban cultural ecology,urban cultural spaces,and the enhancement of urban cultural soft power.Furthermore,international cultural exchanges,interactions,and trade can significantly contribute to the advancement of urban culture.The physical manifestation of urban culture is represented by urban historical heritage space.A comprehensive integration,analysis,and synthesis of various literatures concerning urban historical heritage spaces reveal that the cultural value of these spaces is intrinsically linked to urban culture.Additionally,the revitalization strategies for urban historical heritage space are evident in the propaganda,activation,and cultivation of urban culture.

文摘This paper focuses on rural music education in the context of rural revitalization,deeply analyzes its current resource situation,and points out that tangible resources face shortages of teachers,inappropriate textbooks,and outdated teaching facilities,while intangible resources are confronted with the loss of folk music culture and the weakening of educational foundations due to cultural ecological changes.Resources are characterized by dispersion,scarcity,and inefficient utilization.In response to these difficulties,this paper proposes integration paths for teachers,textbooks,teaching facilities,and folk music culture resources.Additionally,it constructs a diversified development model that combines rural tourism with music activities,develops characteristic music education industries,and integrates rural cultural construction.Simultaneously,it identifies funding shortages and outdated concepts as major obstacles and proposes targeted strategies such as expanding funding channels and changing inherent concepts.The aim is to promote the development of rural music education and contribute to the revitalization of rural culture.
