Based on circuit theory and measured current data, a π-equivalent circuit was established to simulate the transient response of the grounding grid.Nineteen return strokes from three artificially triggered lightning events were analyzed. The peak currents of the 19 return strokes range from -6.7 to -25.1 kA, and the mean value was -14.3 kA. The GPR decreased rapidly and formed a subpeak after reaching the initial peak, with the mean value of the initial peak being -148.65 kV and the mean value of the subpeak being -92.87 kV. The GPR induced by the triggered lightning currents exhibited a subpeak phenomenon. Simulation results indicate that the subpeak phenomenon is related to localized corrosion of the vertical grounding electrode. The potential difference at the grounding grid edge exhibited a multi-pulse waveform with alternating polarity, dominated by positive pulses. The peak values of both the positive and negative polarity pulses gradually decreased, with the first positive pulse displaying a significantly higher intensity than that of subsequent pulses.展开更多

Method of moment and empirical curve fitting method are common-used parameter estimation methods for maximum entropy distribution. In this study, we propose to use the particle swarm optimization method as a new parameter estimation method for the maximum entropy distribution, which has the advantage to avoid deviation introduced by simplifications made in other methods. We conducted a case study to fit the hindcasted thickness of the sea ice in the Liaodong Bay of Bohai Sea using these three parameter-estimation methods for the maximum entropy distribution. All methods implemented in this study pass the K-S tests at 0.05 significant level. In terms of the average sum of deviation squares, the empirical curve fitting method provides the best fit for the original data, while the method of moment provides the worst. Among all three methods, the particle swarm optimization method predicts the largest thickness of the sea ice for a same return period. As a result, we recommend using the particle swarm optimization method for the maximum entropy distribution for offshore structures mainly influenced by the sea ice in winter, but using the empirical curve fitting method to reduce the cost in the design of temporary and economic buildings.展开更多

The results showed that significant positive correlation existed between tobacco leaf yield and small or moderate amount of green manure returned to field. Path analysis showed that moderate amount of green manure returned to field affected yield and quality of tobacco leaves, small green manure returned to field mainly affected leaf yield, while large amount of green manure returned to field mainly affected leaf quality. Therefore, the effect of moderate amount of green manure returned to field on yield and quality of tobacco leaves was best, and moderate amount of green manure returned to field was recommended in production of flue-cured tobacco.展开更多

The state policy determines the scales of ethnic migration to and within the country. The government adopted a complex program on Kazakh Diaspora repatriation. Under the program, oralmans (ethnic repatriates to the country) are provided with considerable aid program for adaptation to the recipient society. Although the returnees may initially be welcomed back, their homecomings often prove to be ambivalent or negative experiences. Despite their ethnic affinity to the host populace, they are frequently excluded as cultural foreigners and relegated to low-status jobs shunned by the host society's populace. Ethnic return migrants and their hosts become frustrated with each other. They find jobs but not expected social welcome. Ethnic return migrant's orientations usually are shaped by the terms of the policies that give them the access to the destination country's labor markets and citizenship. The report studies the problem of similarity and differences among Ethnic Return Migrants and mother ethnic group. What underlies the misunderstanding between them? Whether it is a competition for the working places, access to the social benefits or deep cultural differences? To examine on-the-ground dynamics between natives and ethnic migrants, and in particular their mutual acceptance in a range of contexts, we turn to a qualitative account that draws on observations and interviews, less formal interviews carried out among Mongolian-Kazakh, Chinese-Kazakh and Karakalpak- Kazakh return Migrants in Almaty city and its suburbs during the fieldwork. Characteristics that differentiate returned Diaspora individuals from Kazakhstani Kazakhs are rooted not in ethnic sphere, but in the cultural context of the country they come from. This paper reveals how the socio-cultural characteristics and national origins of the migrants influence their levels of marginalization in their ethnic homelands, forcing many of them to redefine the meanings of home and homeland.展开更多

The idea emerged from an IOM research followed by a study conducted two years ago (2007-2008) on this particular Albanian migratory development. The paper aims to contribute to the early chapters of a future potential empirical research, thus stimulating theoretical discourses towards defining the socio-economic profile of Albanian returned migrants. The research among Albanian undocumented migrants returned from Greece, the UK, etc., indicates that many of the above migrants were found to be recidivists, crossing borders frequently and undocumented. Greece being the main destination and simultaneously (deporting) country, leads to the assumption that it is the main destination country for undocumented migrants. The number of Albanian returnees from Greece reaches its peak, notably in April and September, with the start of seasonal works. The number of returned Albanian minors invoke problematics that demand for appropriate attention and assistance during the procedures of readmission (return, handover by the returning authorities, readmission by Albanian authorities etc.). With regard to causes of undocumented migration, one might identify a slight tendency among undocumented young migrants, to qualify poverty as the main reason rather than lack of working opportunities as Albanian middle age migrants would argue.展开更多

文摘X-ray fluorescence(XRF)sensor-based ore sorting enables efficient beneficiation of heterogeneous ores, while intraparticle heterogeneity can cause significant grade detection errors, leading to misclassifications and hindering widespread technology adoption.Accurate classification models are crucial to determine if actual grade exceeds the sorting threshold using localized XRF signals.Previous studies mainly used linear regression(LR)algorithms including simple linear regression(SLR),multivariable linear regression(MLR),and multivariable linear regression with interaction(MLRI)but often fell short attaining satisfactory results. This study employed the particle swarm optimization support vector machine(PSO-SVM)algorithm for sorting porphyritic copper ore pebble.Lab-scale results showed PSO-SVM out-performed LR and raw data(RD)models and the significant interaction effects among input features was observed.Despite poor input data quality,PSO-SVM demonstrated exceptional capabilities.Lab-scale sorting achieved 93.0%accuracy,0.24%grade increase,84.94%recovery rate,57.02%discard rate, and a remarkable 39.62 yuan/t net smelter return(NSR)increase compared to no sorting. These improvements were achieved by the PSO-SVM model with optimized input combinations and highest data quality(T=10,T is XRF testing times). The unsuitability of LR methods for XRF sensor-based sorting of investigated sample is illustrated.Input element selection and mineral association analysis elucidate element importance and influence mechanisms.

文摘Cardiac arrest poses a significant global public health challenge, manifesting in approximately 550,000 cases annually within the United States.[1]In-hospital cardiac arrest(IHCA)is commonly attributed to airways and respiratory issues.[2]Recommendations emphasize the expertise of responders in airway management.[3]Various options exist, such as chest compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR),bag-mask ventilation(BMV),and advanced airways. The BMV and advanced airways are not deemed equivalent or superior based on previous evidence.[4]Achieving consistency in choosing and timing the optimal airway approach during IHCA is crucial. The current American Heart Association guidelines suggest an advanced airway strategy when endotracheal intubation(ETI)success rates are high, but the optimal time for advanced airway management remains unclear.[5]Wong et al[6]revealed that survival improved by less than 5 min with advanced airway management.According to a subgroup analysis of IHCA patients in emergency departments(EDs),early intubation was associated with a 1.5-fold greater rate of return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC)than in other locations.[7]ED patients’constant monitoring and immediate management, with readily available intubation equipment, enhance early intubation and survival rates.[6]Nonetheless,IHCA patients intubated within the first 15 min had a lower ROSC rate.

文摘The maximum entropy distribution, which consists of various recognized theoretical distributions, is a better curve to estimate the design thickness of sea ice. As a result, we recommend using the particle swarm optimization method for the maximum entropy distribution for offshore structures mainly influenced by the sea ice in winter, but using the empirical curve fitting method to reduce the cost in the design of temporary and economic buildings.

文摘The effects of amount of green manure returned to field on yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco were studied by field experiment. Therefore, the effect of moderate amount of green manure returned to field on yield and quality of tobacco leaves was best, and moderate amount of green manure returned to field was recommended in production of flue-cured tobacco.
文摘From 2017 to 2018,the effects of winter planting of milk vetch on yield and partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer of machine-transplanted double-cropping rice under straw returning were studied in Ningxiang city,Hunan Province. The results showed that the dry matter accumulation, effective panicle, yield and partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer in the stem, leaf, panicle and aboveground parts of early and late rice treated with winter planting milk vetch and straw returning were signi ficantly higher than those treated with straw returning only.Among them, the effective panicles of early and late rice increased by 2.58%,3.18%(2017)and 5.22%,6.32%(2018),respectively.Yield increased by 11.85%,10.07%(2017)and 12.42%,10.92%(2018),annual partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer increased by 10.90%(2017)and 11.66%(2018),respectively.In conclusion, winter planting milk vetch under straw returning is beneficial to increase dry matter accumulation, rice yield and partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer in mechanized double cropping rice.
文摘In Conan Doyle’s detective stories mainly including“The Resident Patient,”“The Gloria Scott,”“The Adventure of Blanched Soldier,”and“The Crooked Man,”featuring the master sleuth character Sherlock Holmes,he depicts the return of the colonials from British colonies, mostly India, with physically deformed or ravaged body and traumatic past that haunt and trouble his characters’present life.Doyle allegorically uses returned colonials or poor whites who turn into figures of retributive ghosts that function as pathetic memories and inner fears from British colonies. The seeing of ghostly figures and haunting past events delineated in these stories cause characters’sense of uncanny horror and remind them of their past trauma. These monstrous returned colonials or poor whites often create a fear and a social menace that must be appropriately dealt with when the master sleuth is commissioned to pin down the truth of client’s cases. Why are these bodies of ghostly figures so“irregular”and ravaged? What do these deformities signify? How can returned colonial’s or poor white’s traumatic past be related to retributive ghost? This paper attempts to probe into these issues in order to find out possible answers.
文摘Ancestral return-return by the descendants of migrants to their ancestors' origin has been one of the most significant forms of population mobility since 1991 in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This paper reveals how the socio-cultural characteristics and national origins of the migrants influence their levels of marginalization in their ethnic homelands, forcing many of them to redefine the meanings of home and homeland.

文摘This paper attempts to unfold certain socio-economic characteristics of Albanian undocumented or "irregular" migrants returning from EU member states. With regard to causes of undocumented migration, one might identify a slight tendency among undocumented young migrants, to qualify poverty as the main reason rather than lack of working opportunities as Albanian middle age migrants would argue.
