Coordinated Expansion Planning for the Electricity-Gas Integrated Energy System Considering N-1 Security Constraints and Restorability Capacity

Under the influence of extreme natural disasters and man-made cyber attacks,the electricity-gas integrated energy system(EGIES)may experience power failure and gas interruption,which have significant impacts on the national economy and social stability.This paper proposes an expansion planning strategy for the EGIES considering N-1 security constraints and restorability capacity.First,the basic expansion planning model for the EGIES,the sub-model of the N-1 security check,and the submodel of restorability capacity verification are respectively proposed.Then,the iterative solution strategy is proposed,in which the solutions of the basic planning model are delivered to the sub-models and the feasible cutting constraints generated by solving the sub-models are delivered to the planning model.Finally,the simulation results of the 9-bus power system with an 8-node gas system and the IEEE 39-bus power system with a 20-node gas system show the effectiveness of the proposed planning method in enhancing the resilience of the EGIES's planning scheme. 展开更多

A dose-response curve of restorative benefits of plant communities:based on visual distances and yellow to green hue range

Urban green spaces have positive effects on both physical and mental wellbeing.However,few studies have focused on the trends and thresholds of the effects of different influences on restorative benefits when viewing scenes differfeaturing plant communities.We measured subjective evaluations and objective physiological data from 44 participants who viewed images of plant communities in the yellow to green hue range to compare differences in restorative benefits among plant communities at different visual distances,as well as quantifying the influencing factors involved.The following results were found:(1)Coniferous and multi-layered plant communities were found to provide greater restorative benefits,and the restorative benefits grew with increasing visual distance.(2)Shape and color characteristics were significantly correlated with restorative benefits,but the relationship is not simply linear.(3)The restorative benefits were found to be greatest when crown proportion was 61.23%,trunk proportion ranged from 4.11%to 13.70%,and the value of color index value ranged from 25.44%to 35.56%;the restorative benefits gradually increased when sky proportion exceeded 12.95%-13.19%,the fractal dimension exceeded 1.62-1.67,and hue index exceeded 91.64°-95.67°;additionally,the restorative benefits decreased when the saturation index increased.This study provides a scientific basis for the construction and improvement of plant landscapes in urban green spaces. 展开更多

Livestock farming is a critical pillar of Tajikistan’s national economy and livelihood security.However,significant economic challenges in the country have led to the degradation of grassland ecosystems.This degradation has not only reduced the productivity of grassland ecosystems but also severely impacted their ecological functions.A particularly concerning consequence is the threat to biodiversity,as the survival and persistence of endemic,rare,and endangered plant species are at serious risk,thereby diminishing the value of species’genetic resources.Based on the data from multiple sources such as literature reviews,field observations,and national statistics,this study employed a systematic literature review and meta-analysis to investigate the current status,causes of degradation,and restoration measures for grassland ecosystems in Tajikistan.The results revealed that Tajikistan’s grassland ecosystems support exceptionally high plant species diversity,comprising over 4500 vascular plant species,including nearly 1500 endemic and sub-endemic taxa that constitute a unique genetic reservoir.These ecosystems are experiencing severe degradation,characterized by significantly reduced vegetation cover and declining species richness.Palatable forage species are increasingly being displaced by unpalatable,thorny,and poisonous species.The primary drivers of degradation include excessive grazing pressure,which disrupts plant reproductive cycles and regeneration capacity,habitat fragmentation due to urbanization and infrastructure development,and uncontrolled exploitation of medicinal and edible plants.Climate change,particularly rising temperatures and altered precipitation patterns,further exacerbates these anthropogenic pressures.Ecological restoration experiments suggested that both ecosystem productivity and plant species diversity are significantly enhanced by systematic reseeding trials using altitude-adapted native species.These findings underscore the necessity of establishing scientifically grounded approaches for ecological restoration. 展开更多

Phosphorus (P) is an essential nutrient element that is critical for plant growth and ecosystem functionality.The soil P cycle plays multiple roles,such as sustaining plant growth and productivity,regulating nutrient balance within ecosystems,and enhancing ecosystem adaptability and resilience.This cycle is influenced by factors such as the restoration approach and microbial community dynamics.However,the extent to which the restoration approach alters the P cycle in karst ecosystems and the underlying microbial mechanisms remain poorly understood.The P-cycle multifunctionality index (P-cycle MFI) serves as a comprehensive indicator for evaluating soil P cycle function,and it provides insights into changes in the P cycle between different restoration approaches.To investigate the shifts in soil P-cycle MFI and microbial mechanisms between different restoration approaches,we analyzed soil available P (AP),total P (TP),microbial biomass P (MBP),and the activities of acid phosphatase (ACP) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP).These data were used to calculate the P-cycle MFI by averaging the Z-scores between two restoration approaches(artificial restoration of forest (AF) and natural restoration of forest (NF)) and a control (cropland,CP) at six subtropical karst ecosystem sites in China.We also determined the soil organic carbon (SOC),exchangeable calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg),pH,bulk density (BD),microbial biomass C (MBC),and microbial biomass nitrogen (MBN),as well as the community structure,relative abundance,diversity indices,and co-occurrence networks of phoD-harboring bacteria.The results showed that the community structure of phoD-harboring bacteria varied significantly among AF,NF,and CP and across different temperature gradients.These bacteria exhibited increasing complexity and tightness in co-occurrence networks from CP to AF and then to NF,along with the ACP and ALP activities,but not the TP and AP contents.The P-cycle MFI values were significantly higher in NF compared to AF and CP,and the variation was significantly explained by restoration approach,temperature,MBC,MBN,SOC,exchangeable Ca,BD,community structure of phoD-harboring bacteria,and exchangeable Mg.Furthermore,natural restoration had a more substantial impact on the P-cycle MFI than temperature by enhancing SOC,microbial biomass,the complexity and co-occurrence network tightness of the phoD-harboring bacterial community structure,and ACP and ALP activities,but it reduced soil BD.The rare genera of phoD-harboring bacteria significantly influenced the variation of soil P-cycle MFI compared to the dominant genera.This study highlights the importance of rare genera of phoD-harboring bacteria in driving soil P-cycle multifunctionality in karst ecosystems,with natural restoration being more effective than artificial methods for enhancing soil organic matter and microbial community complexity. 展开更多

Improving Online Restore Performance of Backup Storage via Historical File Access Pattern

The performance of data restore is one of the key indicators of user experience for backup storage systems.Compared to the traditional offline restore process,online restore reduces downtime during backup restoration,allowing users to operate on already restored files while other files are still being restored.This approach improves availability during restoration tasks but suffers from a critical limitation:inconsistencies between the access sequence and the restore sequence.In many cases,the file a user needs to access at a given moment may not yet be restored,resulting in significant delays and poor user experience.To this end,we present Histore,which builds on the user’s historical access sequence to schedule the restore sequence,in order to reduce users’access delayed time.Histore includes three restore approaches:(i)the frequency-based approach,which restores files based on historical file access frequencies and prioritizes ensuring the availability of frequently accessed files;(ii)the graph-based approach,which preferentially restores the frequently accessed files as well as their correlated files based on historical access patterns,and(iii)the trie-based approach,which restores particular files based on both users’real-time and historical access patterns to deduce and restore the files to be accessed in the near future.We implement a prototype of Histore and evaluate its performance from multiple perspectives.Trace-driven experiments on two datasets show that Histore significantly reduces users’delay time by 4-700×with only 1.0%-14.5%additional performance overhead. 展开更多

The alpine grassland vegetation on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is composed of plant patches in varied sizes.It remains uncertain whether vegetation recovery following grazing exclusion(GE)in degraded grasslands is driven by increases in patches number(NP),patch size(PS),or both.We based our predictions on two hypotheses:GE intensifies plant competition,and facilitation prevails near patches while competition prevails in interpatch spaces.We predicted that the NP would remain stable or decrease and PS would increase under GE treatment.To evaluate these predictions,we conducted a study in six lightly degraded alpine grasslands under free grazing(FG)conditions in Bangor County,Xizang Autonomous Region,China,with corresponding GE treatments using transects in 2017 and 2018.Results revealed that four sites in 2017 and five sites in 2018 had reduced NP and increased PS,with probabilities of 0.033(2017)and 0.004(2018),respectively,and a joint probability of 0.0001 under the null hypothesis that GE does not affect NP or PS.The NP reduction was solely due to the decrease in small patch sizes.An increase in PS was common across species,and a predominant tendency for NP reduction was observed among species across the sites.The overall changes in NP and PS were primarily driven by the three most abundant species(contributing more than 60%in both years),rather than by shifts in floristic composition.Our findings highlight that vegetation recovery in Bangor alpine steppes following GE relies solely on the expansion of existing patches rather than the recruitment of new ones in interpatch gaps.We recommend prioritizing growth-promoting measures,such as nutrient or water management,over seed addition when assisting with GE for restoring lightly degraded grasslands. 展开更多

Mine surveying is an indispensable and crucial basic technical work in the process of mineral resource development.It plays an important role throughout the entire life cycle of a mine,from exploration,design,construction,and production to closure,and is known as the“eyes of the mine”.With the rapid development of satellite technology,computer science,artificial intelligence,robotics,and spatiotemporal big data,mine surveying science and technology supported by spatial information technology is increasingly playing the role of the“brain of the mine”.This paper systematically summarizes the characteristics of mining surveying science and technology in contemporary and future mining development.First,based on the requirements of safe,efficient,and green development in modern mining,an analysis is conducted on the innovative practices of intelligent mining methods;secondly,it explains the transformation of regional economic and mining economic integration towards lengthening the industrial chain and scientific and technological innovation.Regarding intelligent mining,this paper discusses three technical dimensions:(1)By establishing a spatiotemporal data model of the mine,real-time perception and remote intelligent control of the production system are realized;(2)Based on the transparent mine three-dimensional geological modelling technology,the accuracy of geological condition prediction and the scientific nature of mining decisions are significantly improved;(3)By integrating multi-source remote sensing data and deep learning algorithms,a high-precision coal and rock identification system is constructed.The study further revealed the innovative application value of mine surveying in the post-mining era,including:diversified utilization of underground space in mining areas(tourism development,geothermal energy storage,pumped storage,etc.),multi-platform remote sensing coordinated ecological restoration monitoring,and optimized land space planning in mining areas.Practice has proved that mine surveying technology is an important technical engine for promoting green transformation and high-quality development in resource-based regions,and has irreplaceable strategic significance for achieving coordinated development of energy,economy,and environment. 展开更多

Effective partitioning is crucial for enabling parallel restoration of power systems after blackouts.This paper proposes a novel partitioning method based on deep reinforcement learning.First,the partitioning decision process is formulated as a Markov decision process(MDP)model to maximize the modularity.Corresponding key partitioning constraints on parallel restoration are considered.Second,based on the partitioning objective and constraints,the reward function of the partitioning MDP model is set by adopting a relative deviation normalization scheme to reduce mutual interference between the reward and penalty in the reward function.The soft bonus scaling mechanism is introduced to mitigate overestimation caused by abrupt jumps in the reward.Then,the deep Q network method is applied to solve the partitioning MDP model and generate partitioning schemes.Two experience replay buffers are employed to speed up the training process of the method.Finally,case studies on the IEEE 39-bus test system demonstrate that the proposed method can generate a high-modularity partitioning result that meets all key partitioning constraints,thereby improving the parallelism and reliability of the restoration process.Moreover,simulation results demonstrate that an appropriate discount factor is crucial for ensuring both the convergence speed and the stability of the partitioning training. 展开更多

Ecological restoration model selection for abandoned mines in the Luo River Basin,Eastern Qinling Mountains

Effective management of mining areas in the Luo River Basin,located in the eastern Qinling Mountains,is vital for the integrated protection and restoration needed to support the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.Using the‘cupball'model,this study analyzes the limiting factors and restoration characteristics across four mining areas and proposes a conceptual model for selecting appropriate restoration approaches.A second conceptual model is then introduced to address regional development needs,incorporating ecological conservation,safety protection,and people's wellbeing.The applicability of the integrated model selection framework is demonstrated through a case study on the south bank of the Qinglongjian River.The results indicate that:(1)The key limiting factors are similar across cases,but the degree of ecological degradation varies.(2)Mildly degraded areas are represented by a shallower and narrower‘cup',where natural recovery is the preferred approach,whereas moderately and severely degraded systems call for assisted regeneration and ecological reconstruction,respectively.(3)When the restoration models determined based on limiting factors and development needs are consistent,the model is directly applicable;if they differ,the option involving less artificial intervention is preferred;(4)Monitoring of the restored mining area on the Qinglongjian River's south bank confirms significant improvements in soil erosion control and vegetation coverage.This study provides a transferable methodology for balancing resource extraction with ecosystem conservation,offering practical insights for other ecologically vulnerable mining regions. 展开更多

Efficiency and regional differences of forest restoration across China's Upper Yangtze River Basin

Evaluating the effectivenes s of forest restoration projects is crucial for designing adaptive restoration strategies.However,existing studies have primarily focused on ecological outcomes while overlooking cost inputs.This gap can lead to increased uncertainties in restoration planning.Here we investigated forest dynamics in China's Upper Yangtze River Basin(UYRB)using kernel Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(kNDVI),Leaf Area Index(LAI),Gross Primary Productivity(GPP),Ku-band Vegetation Optical Depth(Ku-VOD)time series and climate data from1982 to 2020.Subsequently,we employed a residual trend analysis integrating temporal effects to determine the relative contributions of climate change and human activities to forest dynamics before and after the implementation of forest restoration engineering in 1998.Additionally,we developed an Afforestation Efficiency Index(AEI)to quantitatively assess the cost efficiency of afforestation projects.Results indicated that forest in the UYRB showed sustained increases during 1982-2020,with most areas experiencing greater growth after 1998 than before.Temporal effects of climatic factors influenced over 42.7%of the forest,and incorporating time-lag and cumulative effects enhanced climate-based explanations of forest variations by 1.61-24.73%.Human activities emerged as the dominant driver of forest dynamics post 1998,whereas climate variables predominated before this period.The cost-effectiveness of forest restoration projects in the UYRB typically ranges from moderate to high,with higher success predominantly observed in the northeastern and eastern counties,while the central,western,and northwestern counties mainly showed relatively low efficiency.These findings stress the need for assessing forest restoration outcomes from both ecological and cost perspectives,and can offer valuable insights for optimizing the layout of forest restoration initiatives in the UYRB. 展开更多

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common form of dementia,affecting over 50 million people worldwide.This figure is projected to nearly double every 20 years,reaching 82 million by 2030 and 152 million by 2050(Alzheimer’s Disease International).The apolipoproteinε4(APOE4)allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late-onset AD(after age 65 years).Apolipoprotein E,a lipid transporter,exists in three variants:ε2,ε3,andε4.APOEε2(APOE2)is protective against AD,APOEε3(APOE3)is neutral,while APOE4 significantly increases the risk.Individuals with one copy of APOE4 have a 4-fold greater risk of developing AD,and those with two copies face an 8-fold risk compared to non-carriers.Even in cognitively normal individuals,APOE4 carriers exhibit brain metabolic and vascular deficits decades before amyloid-beta(Aβ)plaques and neurofibrillary tau tangles emerge-the hallmark pathologies of AD(Reiman et al.,2001,2005;Thambisetty et al.,2010).Notably,studies have demonstrated reduced glucose uptake,or hypometabolism,in brain regions vulnerable to AD in asymptomatic middle-aged APOE4 carriers,long before clinical symptoms arise(Reiman et al.,2001,2005). 展开更多

Following a magnitude M 7.9 earthquake that struck near Mandalay,Myanmar in March 2025,this study investigates the seismic damage inflicted upon the city’s municipal water supply system.The analysis focuses on the failure characteristics of water facilities and pipelines,examines cross-system cascading effects,and proposes corresponding recovery strategies.The main findings are as follows:(1)The damage to water plant facilities,concentrated in ancillary structures and connections due to insufficient seismic measures,demonstrated significant intensity-dependence.Increased seismic intensity not only aggravated structural damage but also compromised core treatment processes,leading to deteriorated water quality.(2)Within the same seismic intensity zone,high-density polyethylene(HDPE)pipes exhibited a significantly lower damage occurrence rate than ductile iron(DI)pipes,highlighting the material’s substantial influence on seismic performance.Moreover,a strong positive correlation was observed between the overall pipeline network damage and the seismic intensity.The average damage rate in IntensityⅨzones was 6.84 times that of IntensityⅧzones.(3)A cascading failure,initiated by a power outage,led to water supply disruption,loss of emergency response capability,and elevated secondary risks.This strongly coupled cross-system effect resulted in significant spatiotemporal propagation of disaster impacts.(4)The post-earthquake recovery adopted a phased strategy that prioritized critical facilities.Actions involved rapidly restoring the core supply zone with temporary points,reinstating the water plant’s power supply,and deploying targeted technologies for efficient pipeline repair.The outcomes of this study are expected to provide critical support and a valuable reference for developing earthquake-resilient urban water supply systems. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the application effect of digital intraoral scanning impression technique in oral implant restoration for periodontitis patients and analyze its impact on patients’Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores.Methods:A total of 80 periodontitis patients who received implant restoration in our hospital from May 2023 to May 2025 were selected as research subjects.They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The observation group used the digital intraoral scanning impression technique to obtain impressions,while the control group used the traditional silicone rubber impression technique.The impression-taking time,the number of prostheses try-ins,implant survival rate,periodontal health indicators(probing depth,gingival index,bleeding index),and VAS scores(pain during treatment and comfort after restoration)were compared between the two groups.Results:The observation group was superior to the control group in terms of impression-taking time,the number of prostheses try-ins,and implant survival rate(p<0.05).Six months after restoration,the improvement in periodontal health indicators in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(p<0.05).In addition,the pain VAS score of the observation group during treatment was lower than that of the control group,and the comfort VAS score after restoration was higher than that of the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion:Digital intraoral scanning impression technology can effectively enhance the efficiency and success rate of implant restoration in periodontitis patients,improve periodontal health,alleviate patients’discomfort during treatment,and increase post-restoration comfort,demonstrating high clinical application value. 展开更多

Techniques and factors for reducing chronic neuropathic pain: A review

Nerve trauma commonly results in chronic neuropathic pain. This is by triggering the release of proinflammatory mediators from local and invading cells that induce inflammation and nociceptive neuron hyperexcitability. Even without apparent inflammation, injury sites are associated with increased inflammatory markers. This review focuses on how it might be possible to reduce neuropathic pain by reducing inflammation. Physiologically, pain is resolved by a combination of the out-migration of pro-inflammatory cells from the injury site, the down-regulation of the genes underlying the inflammation, up-regulating genes for anti-inflammatory mediators, and reducing nociceptive neuron hyperexcitability. While various techniques reduce chronic neuropathic pain, the best are effective on < 50% of patients, no technique reliably or permanently eliminates neuropathic pain. This is because most techniques are predominantly aimed at reducing pain, not inflammation. In addition, while single factors reduce pain, increasing evidence indicates significant and longer-lasting pain relief requires multiple factors acting simultaneously. Therefore, it is not surprising that extensive data indicate that the application of platelet-rich plasma provides more significant and longer-lasting pain suppression than other techniques, although its analgesia is neither complete nor permanent. However, several case reports indicate that platelet-rich plasma can induce permanent neuropathic pain elimination when the platelet concentration is significantly increased and is applied to longer nerve lengths. This review examines the primary triggers of the development and maintenance of neuropathic pain and techniques that reduce chronic neuropathic pain. The application of plateletrich plasma holds great promise for providing complete and permanent chronic neuropathic pain elimination. 展开更多

Retinal ganglion cells are the bridging neurons between the eye and the central nervous system,transmitting visual signals to the brain.The injury and loss of retinal ganglion cells are the primary pathological changes in several retinal degenerative diseases,including glaucoma,ischemic optic neuropathy,diabetic neuropathy,and optic neuritis.In mammals,injured retinal ganglion cells lack regenerative capacity and undergo apoptotic cell death within a few days of injury.Additionally,these cells exhibit limited regenerative ability,ultimately contributing to vision impairment and potentially leading to blindness.Currently,the only effective clinical treatment for glaucoma is to prevent vision loss by lowering intraocular pressure through medications or surgery;however,this approach cannot halt the effect of retinal ganglion cell loss on visual function.This review comprehensively investigates the mechanisms underlying retinal ganglion cell degeneration in retinal degenerative diseases and further explores the current status and potential of cell replacement therapy for regenerating retinal ganglion cells.As our understanding of the complex processes involved in retinal ganglion cell degeneration deepens,we can explore new treatment strategies,such as cell transplantation,which may offer more effective ways to mitigate the effect of retinal degenerative diseases on vision. 展开更多

Bangladesh is a deltaic country with a 710 km coastline and numerous newly accreted offshore islands in the central and eastern coastal regions. Natural mangrove forest (the Sundarbans) occupies about 100 km of coastline in the southwest, which protects the lives and properties of the coastal population of that area. The depletion of the forest stock of the Sundarbans was reported in 1875 due to the large-scale clearings by the woodcutters and uncertainty in natural regeneration. The restoration of the Sundarbans in the name of enrichment plantation and assisted natural regeneration was formally introduced in 1959 with Excoecaria agallocha followed by the introduction of mangrove and mainland (non-mangrove) species in the moderate to high saline zone and raised lands in the freshwater zone, respectively in 1975. Chakaria Sundarbans, the second largest natural mangrove forest on the east coast, was highly degraded with the rapid expansion of aquaculture between 1976 and 1989. Tremendous human interferences significantly altered the site condition, interrupting natural recovery. Coastal afforestation was initiated in 1966 with two pioneer mangrove species (Sonneratia apetala and Avicennia officinalis). Some afforested sites require attention for restoration due to natural and manmade causes. Bangladesh Forest Department adopted restoration activities with the technical support of the Bangladesh Forest Research Institute and other agencies. However, all the restoration activities for the Sundarbans, Chakaria Sundarbans, and coastal afforested sites had some success and failure stories. The success and failure of a mangrove restoration activity depends on planning (active or passive restoration), selection of suitable sites and species, planting materials, local community involvement, monitoring, evaluation and plantation management. 展开更多

Decades of species composition changes can lead to the eutrophication-driven loss of submerged macrophytes in shallow lakes.Investigating the mechanisms of these nature-and human driven changes is crucial for the restoration and management of such lakes.To investigate the changes in aquatic macrophyte communities over the past two centuries,we analyzed macrofossils in sediments from a^(210)Pb-dated core obtained in Dongping Lake in the lower Huanghe(Yellow)River Basin,eastern China.Multiple factor analysis(MFA)revealed an association between macrophyte shifts and changes in various environmental stressors(invertebrates,grain size,geochemistry,and documented records),indicating that macrophyte community changes before 1960 were predominately driven by flood disturbances.Ever since,anthropogenic pollution and the construction of water conservancy projects have caused variations in hydrology and nutrients,leading to significant changes in the composition of macrophyte communities.Macrofossil data reveal a decline in diversity and pollution-intolerant species during the late 1980 s and the early 2000 s,which is indicative of eutrophication.We also found that the current environment of Dongping Lake exhibits a clear degeneration in emergent plants and a proliferation of macrophyte species associated with eutrophic conditions,which could be attributed to water level fluctuation and nutrient input due to the water supply from the eastern route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project as well as climate warming.Our results provide valuable insights for assessing ecosystem health and the restoration and management of Dongping Lake and similar lakes in the Huanghe River region and elsewhere. 展开更多

Enhancing soil organic matter characteristics,ameliorating physical structure,mitigating heavy metal toxicity,and hastening mineral weathering processes are crucial approaches to accomplish the transition of tailings substrate to a soil-like substrate.The incorporation of biomass co-pyrolysis and plant colonization has been established to be a significant factor in soil substrate formation and soil pollutant remediation.Despite this,there is presently an absence of research efforts aimed at synergistically utilizing these two technologies to expedite the process of mining tailings soil substrate formation.The current study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanism of geochemical changes and rapid mineral weathering during the process of transforming tailings substrate into a soil-like substrate,under the combined effects of biomass co-smoldering pyrolysis and plant colonization.The findings of this study suggest that the incorporation of smoldering pyrolysis and plant colonization induces a high-temperature effect and biological effects,which enhance the physical and chemical properties of tailings,while simultaneously accelerating the rate of mineral weathering.Notable improvements include the amelioration of extreme pH levels,nutrient enrichment,the formation of aggregates,and an increase in enzyme activity,all of which collectively demonstrate the successful attainment of tailings substrate reconstruction.Evidence of the acceleratedweathering was verified by phase and surfacemorphology analysis using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.Discovered corrosion and fragmentation on the surface ofminerals.The weathering resulted in corrosion and fragmentation of the surface of the treated mineral.This study confirms that co-smoldering pyrolysis of biomass,combined with plant colonization,can effectively promote the transformation of tailings into soil-like substrates.This method has can effectively address the key challenges that have previously hindered sustainable development of the mining industry and provides a novel approach for ecological restoration of tailings deposits. 展开更多

They play a crucial role in apprehending criminals and locating missing children and elderly individuals. Nevertheless, in practical applications, around 30% to 50% of images are obstructed to varied extents, for as by the presence of masks, glasses, or hats. Repairing the masked facial images will enhance face recognition accuracy by 10% to 20%. Simultaneously, market research indicates a rising demand for efficient facial recognition technology within the security and surveillance sectors, with projections suggesting that the global facial recognition market would exceed US$3 billion by 2025. Therefore, finding a prompt and efficient solution to fix the masked face and enhance its accuracy has become a pressing issue that has to be resolved. Currently, the generative adversarial network has shown excellent performance in the field of image restoration, with high precision and good quality of restoration results, but it consumes a lot of computing resources. Based on this, this paper proposes a model architecture that uses the U-Net network to replace the generator in the generative adversarial network, and replaces all traditional convolutional layers with Depthwise Separable Convolutional (DWSC) to make the entire network lightweight. Ultimately, We utilise the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) value to assess the efficacy of the developed model. We select samples with occlusion levels ranging from 10%–15% and 20%–30%, yielding PSNR values of 35.51 and 30.33, respectively. In contrast, the PSNR values of the three predominant algorithms in image restoration—PM, ShiftNet, and PICNet—are all below 30, demonstrating the superiority of the model presented in this paper. However, the model presented in this work possesses certain drawbacks. This work employs solely black rectangles to replicate real-life occlusions. Future study should utilise tangible objects, like as sunglasses and masks, to directly imitate occlusions, so enhancing the accuracy of the restoration effect. The model presented in this study can be further expanded from image restoration to video restoration to investigate the potential for dynamic occlusion repair. 展开更多
