Review of My Research Work on Ferroelectric Films and Si-Based Device Applications: Opportunity and Challenge

Ferroelectric materials have many interesting physical properties such as ferroelectricity, pyroelectricity, piezoelectricity, and opto-electricity, and applying ferroelectric materials in the forms of thin and thick films and integrating them on the silicon substrate as electronic and MEMS devices is a very attractive research area and challenging. In this paper, we report our research works on ferroelectric MEMS and ferroelectric films for electronic device applications. Pyroelectric thin film infrared sensors have been made, characterized, and a 32×32 array with its size of 1cm×1cm has been obtained on Si membrane. Ferroelectric thin films in amorphous phase have been applied to make silicon based hydrogen gas sensors with the metal/amorphous ferroelectric film/metal device structure, and its turn-on voltage of about 4.5V at ~1000 ppm in air is about 7 times of the best value reported in the literature. For the application of electron emission flat panel display, ferroelectric BST thin films with excess Ti concentrations have been coated on Si tips, the threshold voltage of those ferroelectric film coated tips has been reduced about one order from ~70 V/μm to 4~10 V/μm for different Ti concentrations, and however, the electron emission current density has been increased at least 3~4 order for those coated tips compared to that of the bare Si tips. To fulfill in the thickness gap between thin film of typical ~1 μm made by PVD/CVD and polished ceramic wafer of ~50 μm from the bulk, piezoelectric films with thickness in a range of 1~30 μm have been successfully deposited on Si substrate at a low temperature of 650oC by a novel hybridized deposition technique, and piezoelectric MEMS ultrasonic arrays have been very recently obtained with the sound pressure level up to ~120 dB. More detailed results will be presented and mechanisms will be discussed. 展开更多

The city of Manaus (Brazil) is located in the central part of the largest tropical forest in the world, the Amazon rainforest, and has a population of approximately 2 million inhabitants. Osmar Pinto Jr., Iara Regina Cardoso de Almeida Pinto, and Osmar P. Neto showed that the lightning activity in Manaus is larger than that in the regions around the city and it has been increasing in the last four decades with the increasing of the urban area of the city. These results suggest that these spatial and time variations are related to the Urban Heat Island effect, since it is believed that the Urban Heat Island effect influences thunderstorm formation and evolution and, in consequence, the lightning activity. Therefore, they suggest that the replacement of the forest by urban areas tends to increase the lightning activity in the Amazon region. Pinhas Alpert’s team studies recent decadal trends of aerosol optical depth (AOD) over megacities around the world by using three NASA space aerosol sensors: MODIS-Terra, MODIS-Aqua and MISR. Results from these three satellites clearly show a rise in air pollution levels in the megacities of the Middle East, India and North China (see Figure 1). At the same time, Alpert et al.’s study also reveals some positive trends. Megacities in Europe, northeastern United States and South-East Asia indicate a decrease in air pollution from 2002 to 2010 (see Figure 1). These cities have taken active steps to reduce the amount of contaminants in the air. Alpert hopes that these greener cities will serve as an example to the rest of the world, inspiring those who have yet to clean up their communities to push for environmental reforms. 展开更多

Working Paper(WP)是一类特殊的参考文献,它通常不是正式出版的论文,但常常又是最新学术思想和方法的载体,它对学术研究的推进作用是一个值得探讨的问题。本文以现代金融经济领域为研究对象,采用文献计量的方法对这个问题进行了实证研究。采用的样本为JFE杂志1998年1月至2007年10月刊登的559篇论文。设计了6个指标对WP的学术促进作用进行了统计分析。建立了三个经济计量模型分析了互联网等电子手段带来的文献传播速度加快是否促进了WP文献的学术影响。关键结论有:在现代金融经济研究领域,WP在全部参考文献的占比大约为1/10,时间影响长度大约为3.5年,互联网等手段促进了WP的使用,但没有带来增长速度的剧烈提高。 展开更多

经典名方玉女煎历史沿革与关键信息考证

玉女煎是《古代经典名方目录(第一批)》发布的经典名方之一,研究采用文献计量学方法,系统梳理玉女煎相关古籍文献,共获取文献数据232条,筛选出有效信息186条,涉及医籍70部,对玉女煎的方名源流、药物组成、基原、炮制、剂量、煎服法、制... 玉女煎是《古代经典名方目录(第一批)》发布的经典名方之一,研究采用文献计量学方法,系统梳理玉女煎相关古籍文献,共获取文献数据232条,筛选出有效信息186条,涉及医籍70部,对玉女煎的方名源流、药物组成、基原、炮制、剂量、煎服法、制方机要、功用主治等进行分析与考证。考证发现,玉女煎出自明代张介宾《景岳全书》,处方组成为石膏、熟地黄、麦冬、知母、牛膝;药味基原基本清晰,其中石膏、麦冬、知母、牛膝用生品,熟地黄用蒸法;建议每服用量为石膏14.92 g,熟地24.25 g,麦冬7.46 g,知母5.60 g,牛膝5.60 g;煎服法为加水300 mL,煎至140 mL,日1~2次温服或冷服,适时服用即可;玉女煎具有清胃热,滋肾阴之功,主治少阴不足,阳明有余诸证。现代主要应用于口腔系统,常用于治疗牙周炎、牙龈炎、牙髓炎、口腔溃疡等疾病。上述研究确定了玉女煎的关键信息,为其临床应用及后续开发提供了参考依据。 展开更多

Pain Assessment as a Tool in Back-to-Work Rehabilitation

The purpose of this study was to elucidate participant experiences with a way to use pain assessment as a tool in vocational rehabilitation and see if the process is perceived to be important for the rehabilitation process in a four-week lasting rehabilitation back to work program for people with chronic pain, mental illness and fatigue symptoms. Design: A qualitative study. Purposeful typical case sampling. Semi-structured qualitative interviews with rehabilitation back to work participants were thematic content analyzed. Setting: Interviews at the end of the 4th week of rehabilitation took place at a Rehabilitation Center in Central Norway. Subjects: Six women and four men aged 23 to 57 years, suffering from chronic pain and mild mental illness symptoms. Main outcome measure: This paper describes the participants’ experiences with pain mapping in back-to-work rehabilitation, used as a tool in a rehabilitation model for people suffering from chronic pain and mild mental illness. Results: The main topic was “empowered to insights”. The results illustrate a process where mapping tools were experienced relevant in the process of growing discovery of pain and ways of pain management. Pain assessment as a joint aid for both themselves and the staff provided a clearer pain understanding. Conclusion: Mapping as own activity, and cooperation with supportive personnel showing respect for patients’ own experiences, may promote empowerment, and further motivate own efforts and progress of the rehabilitation process. 展开更多

中国特色社会主义进入新时代,党和国家高度重视历史学科建设发展,十分关心支持历史研究工作,明确了历史学科以及历史研究在党和国家事业发展中的重要地位和作用,为史学事业繁荣发展创造了极其难得的时代条件、文化环境和比较优势。习近... 中国特色社会主义进入新时代,党和国家高度重视历史学科建设发展,十分关心支持历史研究工作,明确了历史学科以及历史研究在党和国家事业发展中的重要地位和作用,为史学事业繁荣发展创造了极其难得的时代条件、文化环境和比较优势。习近平在关于历史科学的重要论述中提出“推出有思想穿透力的精品力作”的重要要求和目标指向,对于推动当代中国史学繁荣发展具有重要意义。推出有思想穿透力的史学精品力作,离不开唯物史观理论智慧的指引和启发。唯物史观理论和方法为史家主体“做”并“推出有思想穿透力的精品力作”提供了思想源泉和可靠路径。在当代,史学研究者至少可以从三个切入点着手:第一,找准研究的历史方位,立足问题载点,突出时代意识;第二,紧扣马克思主义社会经济形态理论,研究阐释中国特色社会主义的性质和道路;第三,坚持马克思主义总体史观和历史发展规律论,聚焦中国历史发展与世界历史进程。对于历史研究来说,史家主体不仅需要具有“求真”的品格和勇气,还要具备“致用”的胆识、确立“致用”的目标,守科学研究之正,创史学研究之新,做有思想穿透力的研究,出有思想穿透力的成果,努力造就中国史学繁荣发展的新局面。 展开更多

眼底疾病临床创新研究模式:六要素,三个一

“六要素,三个一”是眼底影像基础阅片工作中进行眼底疾病临床创新性研究的模式要点,即在眼底阅片过程中捕捉到1个异常的病例后,通过积累病例、提炼特征、文献检索、寻同查异,进而扩展到1组病例,最后通过思辨创新,提出或完善1种新的疾... “六要素,三个一”是眼底影像基础阅片工作中进行眼底疾病临床创新性研究的模式要点,即在眼底阅片过程中捕捉到1个异常的病例后,通过积累病例、提炼特征、文献检索、寻同查异,进而扩展到1组病例,最后通过思辨创新,提出或完善1种新的疾病或疾病表征。近二十年来,在此模式的指导下,团队在眼底疾病研究工作中取得了一些原创性的成果:比如息肉状脉络膜血管病变的认识及其在国人新生血管性年龄相关性黄斑变性中发病比例第一,提出点状内层脉络膜病变病灶国际分期和命名新亚型,年龄相关的吲哚菁绿血管造影晚期散在弱荧光点揭示潴留性视网膜色素上皮脱离的发病机制,发现急性黄斑神经视网膜病变是登革热患者视力下降的主要原因,在全球最大的持续性鳞状黄斑病变的病例系列中明确病灶层次等创新性成果。“六要素”框架规范眼底影像研究流程,强调研究过程的严谨性与渐进性,且多次循环后衍生发散出更多研究线索和思路,极大拓展研究深度和广度。“三个一”路径体现了研究的层次性,从个体现象(点)到群体规律(线),最终构建疾病认知的立体网络(面);指导眼底异常影像征象、罕见病、新病种研究,加速疾病谱系完善。以“六要素”为纲,以“三个一”为略,将继续推动眼底疾病临床研究的创新与突破。 展开更多

在全球范围内,紧张局势与不稳定事件频发,人类社会正面临不断出现的分裂与对立态势。对此,社会工作专业应当如何应对成为亟待探索的议题。笔者运用实践研究方法,与香港地区一家社会工作机构开展了为期八年的合作,逐步构建出“复和社会... 在全球范围内,紧张局势与不稳定事件频发,人类社会正面临不断出现的分裂与对立态势。对此,社会工作专业应当如何应对成为亟待探索的议题。笔者运用实践研究方法,与香港地区一家社会工作机构开展了为期八年的合作,逐步构建出“复和社会工作”的理论框架。该框架旨在通过修复人与人、人与自然,以及人与自我之间的裂痕,恢复社会关系,进而推动构建一个以公正平等、凝聚力强、和平和谐为核心的包容性社区。在此基础上,结合2010-2022年间该机构的具体案例,分析其在复和社会工作框架指导下开展的服务及社会转化。复和社会工作不仅为风险与冲突时代的社会工作实践提供了新视角,也为促进社会和解与可持续发展提供了实践路径。 展开更多
