This study analyzes the energy impact of applying green roofs on flat roofs of existing buildings,assessing their potential to reduce the demand for non-renewable primary energy for heating and cooling.Through dynamic...This study analyzes the energy impact of applying green roofs on flat roofs of existing buildings,assessing their potential to reduce the demand for non-renewable primary energy for heating and cooling.Through dynamic numerical simulations conducted on two real buildings located near Florence,Italy,and modeled in 130 different European locations,with a particular focus on the Mediterranean climate,it was possible to quantify the energy benefits derived from the application of green roofs on existing structures.The results show that,while the effect on heating is limited,with an average reduction in energy demand of only a few percentage points,the impact on cooling is significantly more pronounced,with average savings of 20%in non-renewable primary energy,particularly in Mediterranean climates with high CDD(cooling degree days)values.The study confirms that green roofs can be an effective solution to improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings with flat roofs in the Mediterranean climate,in line with European goals for reducing CO₂emissions and promoting renewable energy.展开更多

The rapid progression of the Internet of Things(IoT)technology enables its application across various sectors.However,IoT devices typically acquire inadequate computing power and user interfaces,making them susceptibl...The rapid progression of the Internet of Things(IoT)technology enables its application across various sectors.However,IoT devices typically acquire inadequate computing power and user interfaces,making them susceptible to security threats.One significant risk to cloud networks is Distributed Denial-of-Service(DoS)attacks,where attackers aim to overcome a target system with excessive data and requests.Among these,low-rate DoS(LR-DoS)attacks present a particular challenge to detection.By sending bursts of attacks at irregular intervals,LR-DoS significantly degrades the targeted system’s Quality of Service(QoS).The low-rate nature of these attacks confuses their detection,as they frequently trigger congestion control mechanisms,leading to significant instability in IoT systems.Therefore,to detect the LR-DoS attack,an innovative deep-learning model has been developed for this research work.The standard dataset is utilized to collect the required data.Further,the deep feature extraction process is executed using the Residual Autoencoder with Sparse Attention(ResAE-SA),which helps derive the significant feature required for detection.Ultimately,the Adaptive Dense Recurrent Neural Network(ADRNN)is implemented to detect LR-DoS effectively.To enhance the detection process,the parameters present in the ADRNN are optimized using the Renovated Random Attribute-based Fennec Fox Optimization(RRA-FFA).The proposed optimization reduces the False Discovery Rate and False Positive Rate,maximizing the Matthews Correlation Coefficient from 23,70.8,76.2,84.28 in Dataset 1 and 70.28,73.8,74.1,82.6 in Dataset 2 on EPC-ADRNN,DPO-ADRNN,GTO-ADRNN,FFA-ADRNN respectively to 95.8 on Dataset 1 and 91.7 on Dataset 2 in proposed model.At batch size 4,the accuracy of the designed RRA-FFA-ADRNN model progressed by 9.2%to GTO-ADRNN,11.6%to EFC-ADRNN,10.9%to DPO-ADRNN,and 4%to FFA-ADRNN for Dataset 1.The accuracy of the proposed RRA-FFA-ADRNN is boosted by 12.9%,9.09%,11.6%,and 10.9%over FFCNN,SVM,RNN,and DRNN,using Dataset 2,showing a better improvement in accuracy with that of the proposed RRA-FFA-ADRNN model with 95.7%using Dataset 1 and 94.1%with Dataset 2,which is better than the existing baseline models.展开更多

Local vernacular dwellings can be classified in the following 3 ways on the basis of their own regional features:First, classifying by the origin and development history:stilt building, courtyard and non-courtyard building, western-style building; Second, by building materials:bamboo-wood building, stone building, adobe building, earth-stone building, brick-wood building, building of mixed materials; Third, by architectural form:stilt building, courtyard building, non-courtyard building. Stilt wooden building in northern Guangxi is a representative of traditional vernacular dwellings in the study area. By giving mature consideration to inheritance and development of cultures of traditional vernacular dwellings, this study proposes that proper renovation plans should be made according to actual conditions of the planning site; form renovation of vernacular dwellings should be taken as the new trend of renovation; traditional cultures should be further explored, demonstrated and protected. These suggestions are of great instructive significance for improving the cultural taste of townscapes.展开更多

The design includes the transformation of workshop to civil use, the utilization of terrains, landforms and water resources, the constitution of environment landscapes, as well as the courtyard construction and cultural product planning. Influence factors of urban village renovation were analyzed on the basis of brittleness theory, and an evaluation index system established through multi-level inconsistency decomposing. By incorporating the catastrophe theory with fuzzy mathematical theory, the mathematic model was created, and catastrophe membership function was obtained as well as evaluation results. Policies for the renovation of urban villages and new direction of the renovation were interpreted. The application case proved that catastrophe progression method was objective and effective and it could provide new concepts for the evaluation and adjustment of urban village renovation. Moreover, application of brittleness theory in the research on urban village renovation is of great instruction and reference value for the present urban construction.展开更多

文摘The rapid progression of the Internet of Things(IoT)technology enables its application across various sectors.However,IoT devices typically acquire inadequate computing power and user interfaces,making them susceptible to security threats.One significant risk to cloud networks is Distributed Denial-of-Service(DoS)attacks,where attackers aim to overcome a target system with excessive data and requests.Among these,low-rate DoS(LR-DoS)attacks present a particular challenge to detection.By sending bursts of attacks at irregular intervals,LR-DoS significantly degrades the targeted system’s Quality of Service(QoS).The low-rate nature of these attacks confuses their detection,as they frequently trigger congestion control mechanisms,leading to significant instability in IoT systems.Therefore,to detect the LR-DoS attack,an innovative deep-learning model has been developed for this research work.The standard dataset is utilized to collect the required data.Further,the deep feature extraction process is executed using the Residual Autoencoder with Sparse Attention(ResAE-SA),which helps derive the significant feature required for detection.Ultimately,the Adaptive Dense Recurrent Neural Network(ADRNN)is implemented to detect LR-DoS effectively.To enhance the detection process,the parameters present in the ADRNN are optimized using the Renovated Random Attribute-based Fennec Fox Optimization(RRA-FFA).The proposed optimization reduces the False Discovery Rate and False Positive Rate,maximizing the Matthews Correlation Coefficient from 23,70.8,76.2,84.28 in Dataset 1 and 70.28,73.8,74.1,82.6 in Dataset 2 on EPC-ADRNN,DPO-ADRNN,GTO-ADRNN,FFA-ADRNN respectively to 95.8 on Dataset 1 and 91.7 on Dataset 2 in proposed model.At batch size 4,the accuracy of the designed RRA-FFA-ADRNN model progressed by 9.2%to GTO-ADRNN,11.6%to EFC-ADRNN,10.9%to DPO-ADRNN,and 4%to FFA-ADRNN for Dataset 1.The accuracy of the proposed RRA-FFA-ADRNN is boosted by 12.9%,9.09%,11.6%,and 10.9%over FFCNN,SVM,RNN,and DRNN,using Dataset 2,showing a better improvement in accuracy with that of the proposed RRA-FFA-ADRNN model with 95.7%using Dataset 1 and 94.1%with Dataset 2,which is better than the existing baseline models.
文摘By analyzing background and present situation of townscape renovation project in Guangxi, endeavors for inheriting and developing cultures of traditional vernacular dwellings in the implementation of this project are discussed, and characteristics of traditional vernacular dwellings in the study area are summarized. Local vernacular dwellings can be classified in the following 3 ways on the basis of their own regional features:First, classifying by the origin and development history:stilt building, courtyard and non-courtyard building, western-style building; Second, by building materials:bamboo-wood building, stone building, adobe building, earth-stone building, brick-wood building, building of mixed materials; Third, by architectural form:stilt building, courtyard building, non-courtyard building. Stilt wooden building in northern Guangxi is a representative of traditional vernacular dwellings in the study area. By giving mature consideration to inheritance and development of cultures of traditional vernacular dwellings, this study proposes that proper renovation plans should be made according to actual conditions of the planning site; form renovation of vernacular dwellings should be taken as the new trend of renovation; traditional cultures should be further explored, demonstrated and protected. These suggestions are of great instructive significance for improving the cultural taste of townscapes.
文摘With Zibai Eco-farm as an example, this study focuses on the integrated landscape renovation of abandoned national defense plants which were built during 1970s and 1980s in the mountainous area of Liangdang County, Gansu Province, by combining architecture with landscape, environment and folk customs, aims at creating the comprehensive project with regional characteristics and integration of tourism, sightseeing, cultural product development and so on. The design includes the transformation of workshop to civil use, the utilization of terrains, landforms and water resources, the constitution of environment landscapes, as well as the courtyard construction and cultural product planning. The authors hope that this study would help the reformation and utilization of similar state properties.

文摘Problems in the development and renovation of towns were pointed out as: imbalance between man-made and natural environment, destructed natural and humanistic landscapes. Significance of protecting and developing natural environment in the present town planning was discussed. Overall planning of Queshan County of Henan Province (China) and planning of new district in Paris (France) were taken for examples to analyze natural environment protection and development pattern of towns in terms of the overall town planning and overall form control. Meanwhile, the destruction of public welfare eco-forest caused by too many water conservancy projects in Zixi County of Jiangxi Province (China) was analyzed to propose a natural environment protection and development pattern from the perspective of ecological engineering construction. Finally, it was stressed that natural environment should be respected in the planning, human-nature harmony integrated into the planning concepts, conflicts between town construction, protection and renovation of natural environment resources coordinated, and instructive measures adopted to settle problems in town planning.
文摘Renovation design of wasteland on the original Quarter A of Panzhihua Nongnongping Steelcasting Factory was taken for example in this study, natural conditions and biological landscapes in the study area were investigated. Principles and theories of the renovation design were introduced, it was proposed that protection and landscape renovation of industrial heritage had to be insisted to make regular and unique overall spatial layouts. On this basis, design approaches for the wasteland landscape renovation of the steel-casting factory were proposed as "maintaining original images, realizing the functional substitution; optimizing spatial structure; updating seriously-damaged industrial facilities with insignificant functionality; improving and recovering landscape soil; recovering and reconstructing vegetation".
文摘Through introducing concepts of great relics and its protective planning theories, construction of relics park is a characteristic protection mode for cultural heritage in China, and also a useful exploration in the combination of theories and practices of great relics protection. Moreover, it is also the best means of protecting great relics ever found. Taking landscape planning of the front hall relics of the Weiyang Palace, relics of the front hall was believed to have great scientific value, so its environmental renovation and improvement should be based on scientific landscape planning, the whole relics should be protected and displayed scientifically and completely, landscape elements introduced as the effective texture by applying ecological patterns according to actual conditions, new techniques favorable for the protection and scientific research of relics adopted to provide a new strategy for the construction of great ruins park in China.
文摘Renovation system of urban villages in Xi'an City was evaluated. Influence factors of urban village renovation were analyzed on the basis of brittleness theory, and an evaluation index system established through multi-level inconsistency decomposing. By incorporating the catastrophe theory with fuzzy mathematical theory, the mathematic model was created, and catastrophe membership function was obtained as well as evaluation results. Policies for the renovation of urban villages and new direction of the renovation were interpreted. The application case proved that catastrophe progression method was objective and effective and it could provide new concepts for the evaluation and adjustment of urban village renovation. Moreover, application of brittleness theory in the research on urban village renovation is of great instruction and reference value for the present urban construction.
