The accurate evaluation of the elastic modulus of ceramic coatings at high temperature(HT)is of high significance for industrial application,yet it is not easy to get the practical modulus at HT due to the difficulty of the deformation measurement and coating separation from the composite samples.This work presented a simple approach in which relative method was used twice to solve this problem indirectly.Given a single-face or double-face coated beam sample,the relative method was firstly used to determine the real mid-span deflection of the three-point bending piece at HT,and secondly to derive the analytical relation among the HT moduli of the coating,the coated and uncoated samples.Thus the HT modulus of the coatings on beam samples is determined uniquely via the measured HT moduli of the samples with and without coatings.For a ring sample(from tube with outer-side,inner-side,and double-side coating),the relative method was used firstly to determine the real compression deformation of a split ring sample at HT,secondly to derive the relationship among the slope of load-deformation curve of the coated ring,the HT modulus of the coating and substrate.Thus,the HT modulus of ceramic coatings can be evaluated by the substrate modulus and the load-deformation data of coated rings.Mathematic expressions of those calculations were derived for the beam and ring samples.CVD-SiC coatings on graphite substrate were selected as the testing samples,of which the measured modulus ranging from room temperature to 2100℃demonstrated the validity and convenience of the relative method. 展开更多

The tool point frequency response function(FRF) is commonly obtained by impacting test or semi-analytical techniques.Regardless of the approach,it is assumed that the workpiece system is rigid.The assumption is valid in common machining,but it doesn’t work well in the cutting processes of thin-wall products.In order to solve the problem,a multi-degree-of-freedom dynamic model is employed to obtain the relative dynamic stiffness between the cutting tool and the workpiece system.The relative direct and cross FRFs between the cutting tool and workpiece system are achieved by relative excitation experiment,and compared with the tool point FRFs at x and y axial direction.The comparison results indicate that the relative excitation method could be used to obtain the relative dynamic compliance of machine-tool-workpiece system more actually and precisely.Based on the more precise relative FRFs,four evaluation criterions of dynamic stiffness are proposed,and the variation trend curves of these criterions during the last six months are achieved and analyzed.The analysis results show that the lowest natural frequency,the maximum and the average dynamic compliances at x axial direction deteriorate more quickly than that at y axial direction.Therefore,the main cutting direction and the large-size direction of workpieces should be arranged at y axial direction to slow down the deterioration of the dynamic stiffness of machining centers.The compliance of workpiece system is considered,which can help master the deterioration rules of the dynamic stiffness of machining centers,and enhance the reliability of machine centers and the consistency of machining processes. 展开更多

Inversion of focal mechanism and events identification using an improved relative amplitude method

The relative amplitude method (RAM) is more suitable for source inversion of low magnitude earthquakes because it avoids the modeling of short-period waveforms. We introduced an improved relative amplitude method (IRAM) which is more robust in practical cases. The IRAM uses a certain function to quantify the fitness between the observed and the predicted relative amplitudes among direct P wave, surface reflected pP and sP waves for a given focal mechanism. Using the IRAM, we got the fault-plane solutions of two earthquakes of mb4.9 and mb3.8, occurred in Issyk-Kul lake, Kyrgyzstan. For the larger event, its fault-plane solutions are consistent with the Harvard's CMT solutions. As to the smaller one, the strikes of the solution are consistent with those of the main faults near the epicenter. The synthetic long period waveforms and the predicted P wave first motions of the solutions are consistent with observations at some of regional stations. Finally, we demonstrated that fault-solutions cannot interpret the characteristics of teleseismic P waveforms of the underground nuclear explosion detonated in Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on October 9, 2006. 展开更多

On-line measurement for dielectric loss angle can effectively monitor the insulation condition of capacitive equipment in power systems. Synthetic relative measuring methods not only markedly overcome the shortcomings of traditional absolute measuring methods but also greatly improve the accuracy of dielectric loss angle measurement. However, synthetic relative measuring methods based on two or three pieces of capacitive equipment do not have the characteristic of generality. In this paper, a principle of synthetic relative measuring method is presented. The example of application for synthetic relative methods based on three and four pieces of capacitive equipment running in the same phase is taken to present the failure judgment matrices for N pieces of equipment. According to these matrices, the fault condition of N pieces of capacitive equipment can be watched, which is more general. Then some problems needing to be concerned along with two diagnostic methods used in diagnostic system are introduced. Finally, two programmable flow charts for the two methods are given and corresponding examples demonstrate their feasibility in practice. 展开更多

A typical electronic communication system, such as GPS receiver, unmanned aerial vehicle's (UAV's) data link, and radar, faces multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference in operating environment. To measure the anti- interference performance of the electronic communication system in the complicated electromagnetic interference environment, a method of multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference hardware-in-the-loop simulation in an anechoic room is proposed. It takes into account the characteristics of interference signals and the positional relationship among interference, the receiver and the transmitter of the electronic communication system. It uses the grey relational method and the angular domain mapping error correction method to control the relevant parameters, the microwave switch and so on, thus achieving the approximately actual mapping of the outdoor multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference in the anechoic room. To verify the effectiveness of this method, the multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference of the UAV's data link is simulated as an example. The results show that the degree of correlation between the calculated signal to interference ratio of the data link receiver in the actual scene and the measured signal to interference ratio of the data link receiver simulated with this method in the anechoic room is 0.968 1, proving that the method is effective for simulating the complicated electromagnetic interference. 展开更多

Such plan usually cannot reflect the relative size of the suitability of the development and utilization of mineral resources. To solve the problem, the paper has selected the gift condition, the market condition, the technological condition,socio-economic condition and environmental condition as the starting-points to analyze the influential factors of the priority-sequence of mineral resources' development and utilization. The above 5 conditions are further specified into 9 evaluative indicators to establish an evaluation indicator system. At last,we propose a decision model of the priority sequence based on grey relational analysis method, and figure out the observation objects by the suitability index of development. Finally, the mineral resources of a certain province in China were analyzed as an example. The calculation results indicate that silver(2.0057), coal(1.9955), zinc(1.9442), cement limestone(1.9077), solvent limestone(1.5624) and other minerals in the province are suitable for development and utilization. 展开更多

Recently, the research of dynamics and control of the satellite formation flying has been attracting a great deal of attentions of the researchers. The theory of the research was mainly based on Clohessy-Wiltshire' s (C-W's) equations, which describe the relative motion between two satellites. But according to some special examples and qualitative analysis , neither the initial parameters nor the period of the solution of C-W' s equations accord with the actual situation, and the conservation of energy is no longer held. A new method developed from orbital element description of single satellite , named relative orbital element method ( ROEM) , was introduced. This new method, with clear physics conception and wide application range, overcomes the limitation of C-W s equation , and the periodic solution is a natural conclusion. The simplified equation of the relative motion is obtained when the eccentricity of the main satellite is small. Finally, the results of the two methods (C-W' s equation and ROEM) are compared and the limitations of C-W s equations are pointed out and explained. 展开更多

Considering the stratum anti-drilling ability,drill bit working conditions,drill bit application effect and drill bit economic benefits,the similarity of stratum anti-drilling ability was evaluated by grey relational analysis theory to screen out candidate drill bits with reference values.A new comprehensive performance evaluation model of drill bit was established by constructing the absolute ideal solution,changing the relative distance measurement method,and introducing entropy weight to work out the closeness between the candidate drill bits and ideal drill bits and select the reasonable drill bit.Through the construction of absolute ideal solution,improvement of relative distance measurement method and introduction of entropy weight,the inherent defects of TOPSIS decision analysis method,such as non-absolute order,reverse order and unreasonable weight setting,can be overcome.Simple in calculation and easy to understand,the new bit selection method has good adaptability to drill bit selection using dynamic change drill bit database.Field application has proved that the drill bits selected by the new drill bit selection method had significant increase in average rate of penetration,low wear rate,and good compatibility with the drilled formations in actual drilling.This new method of drill bit selection can be used as a technical means to select drill bits with high efficiency,long life and good economics in oilfields. 展开更多

Utilization of Rehabilitation Services,Economic Participation,and Subjective Relative Deprivation Among Persons with Disabilities—China,2023

Introduction:Research on the well-being of persons with disabilities(PWDs)has predominantly focused on objective living conditions and physical improvements,with insufficient attention to subjective experiences.This study addresses this gap by examining how rehabilitation service utilization enhances economic participation,thereby alleviating subjective relative deprivation(SRD).Methods:Data from 5,288 certified PWDs were analyzed using the National Sample Survey on Subjective Perceptions and Evaluation of Persons with Disabilities’Protection and Development(2023)in China.Linear regression and the Karlson,Holm,and Breen(KHB)method were employed.A heterogeneity analysis was conducted to evaluate subgroup variations.Results:Rehabilitation service utilization is negatively associated with SRD[β=−0.532,95%confidence interval(CI):−0.832,−0.231,P<0.001],with economic participation serving as a mediator in this relationship(KHB:β=−0.044,95%CI:−0.087,−0.001,P<0.05).The SRD-reducing effect of rehabilitation services is stronger among individuals with mild to moderate disabilities(β=−0.634,95%CI:−1.070,−0.197,P<0.01),those with at least a middle school education(β=−0.850,95%CI:−1.250,−0.450,P<0.001),and urban residents(β=−0.803,95%CI:−1.370,−0.236,P<0.01).The mediating effects are also more pronounced within these subgroups.Conclusions:Policies should prioritize enhancing rehabilitation services and employment support for PWDs,with particular focus on groups with mild to moderate disabilities,higher education backgrounds,and urban residents.Psychological interventions should also be implemented to mitigate SRD-related mental health risks. 展开更多

This paper proposes a materialmisstatement risk assessment model based on the combined use of entropy weight-TOPSISand grey relational analysis methods and evaluates the material misstatement risk in China'sMedical CRO Industry by quantitative means. Taking the medical CRO industry as anexample, this paper selects some case companies in the industry for horizontal comparison,and at the same time conducts a multi-year data comparison on the enterprise with the highestaudit risk among them. The results show that Bio-Sincerity Pharmaceutical is an enterprisewith relatively high audit risk in the Medical CRO Industry in recent years, and thecalculation results of the model are basically consistent with the actual analysis. Toeffectively prevent financial risks and audit risks, financial personnel should participate inbusiness management, analysis and budgeting, and auditors should also focus on auditsegments such as dynamic cash flow, debt structure, and business contracts and debtmanagement in combination with the characteristics of the Medical CRO Industry, so as toeffectively reduce the risk of audit misstatements. 展开更多

In military service joint operations, when there are more operational forces, more multifarious materials are consumed, the support is more complex and fuzzy, the deployment of personnel is more rapid, and the support provided by wartime military material support powers can be more effective. When the principles,requirements, influencing factors and goals of military material support forces are deployed in wartime, an evaluation indicator system is established. Thus, a new combined empowerment method based on an analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is developed to calculate the subjective weights, and the rough entropy method is used to calculate the objective weights. Combination weights can be obtained by calculating the weight preference coefficient error, which is determined by combining the cooperative game method and the minimum deviation into objectives. This approach can determine the grey relation projection coefficient and synthesize the measure scheme superiority to finally optimize the deployment plan using the grey relation projection decision-making method. The results show that the method is feasible and effective;it can provide a more scientific and practical decision-making basis for the military material support power deployment in wartime. 展开更多

ZrO2 in different structures and CexZr4-xO8 solid solutions have been prepared by a sol-gel related method with propionic acid as the solvent. The results of their characterization and CO hydro-genation performance evaluation show that t-ZrO2 has better catalytic performance for CO hydrogenation to hydrocarbon than m-ZrO2. Cerium (Ⅲ) acetate and zirconium (Ⅳ) acetylacetonate have been chosen as the most suitable starting materials for CexZr4-xO8 solid solution preparation. Ce-Zr reducibility properties are increased by the incorporation of zirconium oxide in the ceria structure. Ce2Zr2O8 exhibits a higher activity, lower methane selectivity and higher iso-C4 selectivity than tetragonal ZrO2. By using the full-core plus correlation (FCPC) type wave functions, the accurate charge densities p(0) at the nucleus and the radial expectation values of the ground states for the lithium-like systems with Z =- 21 to 30 are obtained. The determinantal conditions and the electron-nucleus cusp condition are used to calculate the inequalities of the upper and the lower bounds to p(0) with two or more expectation values. These inequalities, derived by Angulo and Dehesa [Phys. Rev. A 44 1516 (1991)], are verified to be also valid for these ions with higher nuclear charge. The present results show that the wave functions used in this paper are satisfactory in the whole configuration space for these ions with higher nuclear charge. 展开更多

The Zhoubi Suanjing, one of the most important ancient Chinese books on mathematical astronomy, was compiled about 100 BC in the Western Han dynasty (BC 206 - AD 23). We study the gnomon shadow lengths for the 24 solar terms as recorded in the book. Special attention is paid to the so-called law of ‘cun qian li’, which says the shadow length of a gnomon of 8 chi (about 1.96 m) high will increase (or decrease) 1 cun (1/10chi) for every 10001i (roughly 400kin) the gnomon moves northward (or south- ward). From these data, one can derive the time and location of the observations. The resuits, however, do not fit historical facts. We suggest that compilers of the Zhoubi Suanjing must have modified the original data according to the law of ‘cun qian li’. Through reversing the situation, we recovered the original data, our analysis of which reveals the best possible observation time as 564 BC and the location of observation as 35.78° N latitude. We conclude that this must be the earliest records of solar meridian observations in China. In the meantime, we give the errors of solar altitudes for the 24 solar terms. The average deviation is 5.22°, and the mean absolute deviation is 5.52°, signifying the accuracy of astronomical calculations from that time. 展开更多

Halo coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been to be significantly faster than normal CMEs, which is a long-standing puzzle. In order to solve the puzzle, we first investigate the observed properties of 31 limb CMEs that clearly display loopshaped frontal loops. The observational results show a strong tendency that slower CMEs are weaker in white-light intensity. Then, we perform a Monte Carlo simulation of 20000 artificial limb CMEs that have an average velocity of ~523km s -1. The Thomson scattering of these events is calculated when they are assumed to be observed as limb and halo events, respectively. It is found that the white-light inten-sity of many slow CMEs becomes remarkably reduced when they turn from being viewed as a limb event to being viewed as a halo event. When the intensity is below the background solar wind fluctuation, it is assumed that they would be missed by coronagraphs. The average velocity of "detectable" halo CMEs is ~922km s -1, very close to the observed value. This also indicates that wider events are more likely to be recorded. The results soundly suggest that the higher average velocity of halo CMEs is due to that a majority of slow events and some of narrow fast events carrying less material are so faint that they are blended with the solar wind fluctuations, and therefore are not observed. 展开更多
