Realities of Reflective Practice Skill among Public Health Nurses in Japan and Related Learning and Lifestyle Factors 被引量:1

Background: According to the diversification of the health needs and the expansion of health disparities, it is necessary to raise their reflective practice skills so that PHNs present more appropriate activities. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the realities of reflective practice skills among public health nurses in Japan and identify related factors. Methods: This study covered 1725 public health nurses in the Chugoku/Shikoku area. We conducted an anonymous self-completed questionnaire survey. As reflective practice skills (RPS), we adopted the six components of the six cycles of the Gibbs reflective model. We used the 20 criteria of the Scale for Practical Competence (SPC). We set 25 learning history/daily lifestyle items. The study plan was approved by the Ethics Committee of Okayama University. Results: We analyzed the 962 (55.8%) valid responses. Although years of experience as a public health nurse was highly correlated with practical skills as measured by SPC, with a correlation coefficient of 0.627, it was not closely related with RPS, with a correlation coefficient as low as 0.129. A logistic regression analysis of the eight learning history items and six daily lifestyle items associated with RPS, with the introduction of the high/low RPS groups as dependent variables, showed a convergence to five factors (odds ratio of 1.38 - 2.29). Conclusions: Going forward, we will need to consider how to accumulate learning on a daily basis and how to include positive health practice in PHN education, in connection with exploring the curriculum and method of training. 展开更多

A systematic review of the effectiveness of clinical nurse specialist interventions in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) 被引量:2

Objective: This review aimed to examine the effectiveness of clinical nurse specialist (CNS) interventions in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD significantly affects people's health worldwide. With the development in nursing, CNSs are playing increasingly important roles in different departments. However, the studies on the effectiveness of CNSs in COPD are not as well organized as the studies on the effectiveness of CNSs in bronchiectasis and asthma. Therefore, this review aims to find some updated evidence on the CNS interventions for patients with COPD and on whether these interventions are effective.Methods: A narrative analysis of the data was performed for the eligible studies. Four databases were chosen: CINAHL, MEDLINE, British Nursing Index, and Cochrane Library. Other websites such as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, National Health Service Evidence, Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists, and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist were searched as well. Two reviewers performed study identification independently, and all the retrieved articles were stored using the EndNote X7 software. The risk of bias in the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias tool. Results: A total of nine studies were included in this review. There were five current interventions by CNSs for patients with COPD. These interventions were home nursing support, CNS]s supported discharge, multidisciplinary cooperation programs, nurse-led care programs, and self-care management education. The effectiveness of these five interventions was evaluated individually. There is low- to moderate-quality evidence indicating that home nursing support interventions may have a positive effect on mortality and quality of life. No significant difference in quality of life has been found between the CNS-supported discharge intervention and the usual service. The multidisciplinary cooperation program probably had a positive effect on quality ot life in patients with COPD. Both nurse-led care and self-care management education intervention had a positive effect on mortality of patients with COPD.Conclusions: The findings of this review provide updated evidence on the effectiveness of CNS interventions for patients with COPD. Although nine trials were included and five types of interventions were identified, there is still lack of high-quality evidence. 展开更多

Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training. 展开更多

The research examines the impact teacher beliefs about language learning have on classroom practices during SecondLanguage Acquisition(SLA).The study investigates educational psychological principles to understand the impact of teachers'previous experiences and professional growth on their instructional methods.The research team implemented a mixed-methodsstrategy that included surveys,interviews and classroom observations to obtain both quantitative and qualitative information.Teachers who follow Communicative Language Teaching(CLT)principles prefer interactive student-centered teaching methodswhile teachers with traditional beliefs depend on grammar-based instruction approaches.During classroom observations teachersdemonstrated clear connections between their reported beliefs and teaching methods but sometimes their subconscious beliefsdiverged from their stated educational philosophies.The findings show how teacher cognition affects teaching effectiveness whiledemonstrating that reflective practice serves as a critical tool for improving teaching methods.Research findings show teachertraining programs must cover multiple teaching philosophies and teach flexible methods to improve how students engage and learn. 展开更多

This study aimed at investigating the effect of a proposed EFL (English as a Foreign Language) training program on the teachers' reading practices in Mafraq. This program was developed by the researcher according to the ninth-grade EFL teachers' needs. The participants of the study were 20 ninth-grade females EFL teachers who represented the experimental and control groups (10 teachers in each group). They were randomly chosen from 10 schools in the Northwestern Badia Directorate of Education. To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher designed a needs analysis questionnaire, a training program, a pre and post observation checklist, and a pre and post received knowledge test for teachers. Proper statistical analysis was used to analyze the results of the research questions. The results of the study showed that teachers were in need to be trained on 20 reading comprehension practices to be able to teach reading comprehension effectively. Besides, there were statistically significant differences at the level of (a = 0.05) between the means scores of the ninth-grade teachers' performance of the control and experimental groups on the post observation checklist and on the post received knowledge test in favor of the experimental group due to the training program. 展开更多

失效模式与影响分析在药学实践调剂应用中的范围综述

系统综述失效模式与影响分析(failure mode and effects analysis,FMEA)在药学实践调剂中的应用与效果,明确研究重点与方向,总结优势与不足,为风险管理和后续研究提供参考。检索PubMed、Cochrane Library、中国知网等中英文数据库,收集... 系统综述失效模式与影响分析(failure mode and effects analysis,FMEA)在药学实践调剂中的应用与效果,明确研究重点与方向,总结优势与不足,为风险管理和后续研究提供参考。检索PubMed、Cochrane Library、中国知网等中英文数据库,收集建库至2024年12月31日的相关研究。由2名研究人员独立完成筛选和资料提取,采用描述性分析方法,提取文献基本信息、应用领域、FMEA类型、团队构成、优势与局限性等指标,并使用WPS Excel进行数据整理与统计分析。共纳入33项研究。FMEA主要应用于两方面:(1)药品管理全流程(9项),涵盖处方审核、药品存储、库存管理和质量控制;(2)具体环节的风险控制(24项),涉及处方调剂、药房风险控制、麻醉与精神药品管理、高警示药品管理等。28项研究采用传统FMEA,5项采用HFMEA。在实施效果方面,28项研究报告干预后风险优先数显著下降或失效事件发生率明显降低,其中多学科团队参与的研究(22项)显示出更高的措施可行性与改进效果持续性。FMEA在调剂实践中具有显著价值,有助于优化流程和提升用药安全。 展开更多
