The poverty evolution of typical countries along the Belt and Road and implications from China’s poverty reduction experiences

Abstract:The world is facing a poverty crisis.Despite the great achievements that have been made in poverty alleviation over the past two decades,the extent of poverty in countries along the Belt and Road is still high.Successful poverty reduction in these countries is crucial to meeting the 2030 SDGs.Improving governance to eradicate poverty is a shortcoming that needs to be addressed urgently in poverty reduction pathways along the Belt and Road.In this study,the Standard Deviational Ellipse method was used to study the spatial trajectory of the poverty gravity center.Results showed that the poverty gravity center moved from east to west by 87.60 km annually,while the poverty population decreased by 1211.14 million along the Belt and Road from 2000 to 2020.In addition,the trajectory of the center has shifted due to the different effects of poverty reduction.Among the countries situated along the Belt and Road,China is the most significant contributor to poverty reduction.Accordingly,this study examined the implications of China’s successful poverty reduction strategies in order to understand how other countries can effectively respond to poverty.Ultimately,we propose that sustainable poverty alleviation development strategies should be established with the objectives of promoting social equity and improving the wellbeing of all people. 展开更多

在多元文化碰撞与科学发展的潮流冲击下,中医理论学科出现了学术探索模式的分化,可概括为整体论、还原论和复杂性3个模式。整体论模式包含文献研究和临床研究两个路径,还原论模式包含实验研究和临床研究两个路径,复杂性模式也包含实验... 在多元文化碰撞与科学发展的潮流冲击下,中医理论学科出现了学术探索模式的分化,可概括为整体论、还原论和复杂性3个模式。整体论模式包含文献研究和临床研究两个路径,还原论模式包含实验研究和临床研究两个路径,复杂性模式也包含实验研究和临床研究两个路径,合计6个类型。整体论模式具有实践优位的价值倾向与综合体验的认知特征,注重对事物的宏观准确把握,强调主体、客体与环境之间的关系。还原论模式则具有理论优位的价值倾向与分析实证的认知特征,注重对事物的微观精确把握,强调主体、客体与环境的独立性及各自内部的结构特征。复杂性模式的特征是融合整体论与还原论模式,力图保留两者优点,克服两者缺点。文献研究、实验研究与临床研究三个路径之间表现出与三个模式之间价值倾向与认知特征互补不同的功能互补特质,体现出彼此印证的规律。文献研究尽管在不同模式中都有运用,但在整体论模式中地位尤为重要;实验研究在还原论与复杂性模式中均有体现,但特征各异;临床研究在整体论、还原论和复杂性模式中都不可或缺,但表现形式却大相径庭。不同研究类型的学术价值总体而言是平等的,但在特定情形下又是不同的,需要对其创新贡献度从三个方面予以评价。 展开更多

Nitric oxide removal by wastewater bacteria in a biotrickling filter 被引量:1

Nitric oxide (NO) is one of the most important air pollutants in atmosphere mainly emitted from combustion source. A biotriclding filter was designed and operated to remove NO from an air stream using bacteria extracted from the sewage sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant. To obtain the best operation conditions for the biotrickling filter, orthogonal experiments (L9(34)) were designed. Inlet oxygen concentration was found to be the most significant factor of the biotrickling filter and has a significant negative effect on the system. The optimal conditions of the biotrickling filter occurred at a temperature of 40℃, a pH of 8.0 and a chemical oxygen demand of 165 mg/L in the recycled water with no oxygen in the system. The bacteria sample was detected by DNA sequencing technology and showed 93%-98% similarity to Pseudomonas mendocina. Moreover, a full gene sequencing results indicated the bacterium was a brand new strain and named as P. mendocina DLHK. This strain can transfer nitrate to organic nitrogen. The result suggested the assimilation nitrogen process in this system. Through the isotope experimental analysis, two intermediate products (^15NO and ^15N2O) were found. The results indicated the denitrification function and capability of the biotrickling filter in removing NO. 展开更多
