Then, the centroid and the normalized central moments of the medical sub-image are calculated, and the rotation angle a is obtained by minimizing the second-order central moment based on its rotation invariance. Finally, the whole medical image is rotated around the centroid by --a to correct the tilted image. F^rthermore, inspired by the uniformity degree of the image, the rotation angle ct is revised, which achieves a better correction effect and performance. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are fairly reliable and accurate for the determination of tilt angles, and are practical and effective tilt correction techniques.展开更多

The TM image of the Nanjing area in China was corrected by this method. For analyzing the accuracy of this method, the calculated reflectance, apparent reflectance and ground measured reflectance were compared. NDVI before and after atmospheric cor- rection were also compared. The results show that the method is applicable and efficient in the visible to near infrared band of TM image. In order to improve the accuracy of the method, the infrared spectrum measured data for the two other bands of TM image are required in future field investigations. The method is suitable to many other satellite optical remote sensing images with the same or similar spectral characteristics of TM images.展开更多

This paper proposes a new force correction method based on online discrete tangent stiffness estimation(online DTSE) to provide accurate online estimation of the instantaneous stiffness of the physical substructure. Following the discrete curve parameter recognition theory, the online DTSE method estimates the instantaneous stiffness mainly through adaptively building a fuzzy segment with the latest measurements, constructing several strict bounding lines of the segment and calculating the slope of the strict bounding lines, which significantly improves the calculation efficiency and accuracy for the instantaneous stiffness estimation. The results of both computational simulation and real-time hybrid simulation show that:(1) the online DTSE method has high calculation efficiency, of which the relatively short computation time will not interrupt RTHS; and(2) the online DTSE method provides better estimation for the instantaneous stiffness, compared with other existing estimation methods. Due to the quick and accurate estimation of instantaneous stiffness, the online DTSE method therefore provides a promising technique to correct restoring forces in RTHS.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)is a key treatment approach for advanced invasive liver cancer(infiltrative hepatocellular carcinoma). However, its therapeutic response can be difficult to evaluate accurately using conventional two-dimensional imaging criteria due to the tumor’s diffuse and multifocal growth pattern.Volumetric imaging, especially enhanced tumor volume(ETV),offers a more comprehensive assessment.Nonetheless, bias field inhomogeneity in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)poses challenges, potentially skewing volumetric measurements and undermining prognostic evaluation.AIM To investigate whether MRI bias field correction enhances the accuracy of volumetric assessment of infiltrative hepatocellular carcinoma treated with TACE,and to analyze how this improved measurement impacts prognostic prediction.METHODS We retrospectively collected data from 105 patients with invasive liver cancer who underwent TACE treatment at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2020 to January 2024.The improved N4 bias field correction algorithm was applied to process MRI images, and the ETV before and after treatment was calculated. The ETV measurements before and after correction were compared, and their relationship with patient prognosis was analyzed.A Cox proportional hazards model was used to evaluate prognostic factors, with Martingale residual analysis determining the optimal cutoff value, followed by survival analysis.RESULTS Bias field correction significantly affected ETV measurements, with the corrected baseline ETV mean(505.235 cm^(3))being significantly lower than before correction(825.632 cm^(3),P<0.001).Cox analysis showed that the hazard ratio(HR)for corrected baseline ETV(HR=1.165,95%CI:1.069-1.268)was higher than before correction(HR=1.063,95%CI:1.031-1.095).Using 412 cm^(3) as the cutoff, the group with baseline ETV<415 cm^(3) had a longer median survival time compared to the≥415 cm^(3) group(18.523 months vs 8.926 months,P<0.001).The group with an ETV reduction rate≥41%had better prognosis than the<41%group(17.862 months vs 9.235 months,P=0.006).Multivariate analysis confirmed that ETV reduction rate(HR=0.412,P<0.001),Child-Pugh classification(HR=0.298,P<0.001),and Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage(HR=0.578,P=0.045)were independent prognostic factors.CONCLUSION Volume imaging based on MRI bias field correction can improve the accuracy of evaluating the efficacy of TACE treatment for invasive liver cancer. The corrected ETV and its reduction rate can serve as independent indicators for predicting patient prognosis, providing important reference for developing individualized treatment strategies.

文摘In this paper, the edge detection for a medical image is performed based on Sobel operator, and the bounding box is obtained, by which the effective medical sub-image is extracted. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are fairly reliable and accurate for the determination of tilt angles, and are practical and effective tilt correction techniques.

文摘Using real-time correction technology for typhoons, this paper discusses real-time correction for forecasting the track of four typhoons during 2009 and 2010 in Japan, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. It was determined that the short-time forecast effect was better than the original objective mode. By selecting four types of integration schemes after multiple mode path integration for those four objective modes, the forecast effect of the multi-mode path integration is better, on average, than any single model. Moreover, multi-mode ensemble forecasting has obvious advantages during the initial 36 h.

文摘In this paper, an atmospheric correction method to TM image is presented, which can simulate the atmospheric correction parameters, such as optical depth, sky radiance and path radiance at the time the satellite passes,by using interpolation among local meteorological records, parameterization models and dark pixels. The method is suitable to many other satellite optical remote sensing images with the same or similar spectral characteristics of TM images.

文摘In real-time hybrid simulation(RTHS), it is difficult if not impossible to completely erase the error in restoring force due to actuator response delay using existing displacement-based compensation methods. Due to the quick and accurate estimation of instantaneous stiffness, the online DTSE method therefore provides a promising technique to correct restoring forces in RTHS.

文摘With a spatial resolution of 50 m,a revisit time of three days, and a swath of 950 km,the coastal zone imager(CZI)offers great potential in monitoring coastal zone dynamics.Accurate atmo-spheric correction(AC)is needed to exploit the potential of quantitative ocean color inversion. However, due to the band setting of CZI,the AC over coastal waters in the western Pacific region with complex optical properties cannot be realized easily. This research introduces a novel neural network(NN)AC algorithm for CZI data over coastal waters.Total 100,000 match-ups of HY-1 C CZI-observed reflectance at the top-of-atmosphere and Operational Land Imager(OLI)-retrieved high-quality remote sensing reflectance(Rrs)at the CZI bands are built to train the NN model. These reflectance data are obtained from the standard AC algorithm in the SeaDAS.Results indicate that the distributions of the CZI retrieved Rrs were consistent with the quasi-synchronous OLI data, but the spatial information from the CZI is more detailed. Then, the accuracy of the CZI data for AC is evaluated using the multi-source in-situ data. Results further show that the NN-AC can successfully retrieve Rrs for CZI and the coefficients of determination in the blue, green, red, and near-infrared bands were 0.70,0.77,0.76,and 0.67,respectively.The NN algorithm does not depend on shortwave-infrared bands and runs very fast once properly trained.
文摘Due to improper acquisition settings and other noise artifacts, the image degraded to yield poor mean preservation in brightness. The simplest way to improve the preservation is the implementation of histogram equalization.Because of over-enhancement,it failed to preserve the mean brightness and produce the poor quality of the image. This paper proposes a multi-scale decomposi-tion for brightness preservation using gamma correction. After transformation to hue, saturation and intensity(HSI)channel, the 2D-discrete wavelet transform decomposed the intensity component into low and high-pass coefficients. At the next phase, gamma correction is used by auto-tuning the scale value. The scale is the modified constant value used in the logarithmic function.Further, the scale value is optimized to obtain better visual quality in the image. The optimized value is the weighted distribution of standard deviation-mean of low pass coefficients. Finally, the experimental result is estimated in terms of quality assessment measures used as absolute mean brightness error, the measure of information detail, signal to noise ratio and patch-based contrast quality in the image.By comparison, the proposed method proved to be suitably remarkable in retaining the mean brightness and better visual quality of the image.
文摘The ultrasonovision image caused by the tool eccentricity can often present two pieces of vertical black strips in the Casing Well. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a correction algorithm of time eccentricity image based on ellipse fitting algorithm. This algorithm firstly utilizes borehole diameter data to fit ellipse and compute ellipse’s center, major axis, minor axis and inclination angle and other parameters, and then uses these parameters to correct eccentrical ultrasonovision time image. The tested results show that the algorithm can accurately fit ellipse and correct the eccentrical ultrasonovision time image, which is very important practical significance on processing the well logging.
