Owing to the unique characteristics of real time database applications and the importance of satisfying the timing constraints of transactions, serializability is too strong as a correctness criterion and not suitable for real time databases in most cases. On the other hand, relaxed serializability including epsilon serializability and similarity serializability can allow more real time transactions to satisfy their timing constraints, but database consistency may be sacrificed to some extent. We thus propose the use of weak serializability(WSR) that is more relaxed than conflicting serializability while database consistency is maintained. In this paper, we first formally define the new notion of correctness called weak serializability. After the necessary and sufficient conditions for weak serializability are shown, corresponding concurrency control protocol WDHP(weak serializable distributed high priority protocol) is outlined for distributed real time databases, where a new lock mode called mask lock mode is proposed for simplifying the condition of global consistency. Given the rapid development of advanced information systems,microgrids(MGs)suffer from more potential attacks that affect their operational performance.Conventional distributed secondary control with a small,fixed sam...Given the rapid development of advanced information systems,microgrids(MGs)suffer from more potential attacks that affect their operational performance.Conventional distributed secondary control with a small,fixed sampling time period inevitably causes the wasteful use of communication resources.This paper proposes a self-triggered secondary control scheme under perturbations from false data injection(FDI)attacks.We designed a linear clock for each DG to trigger its controller at aperiodic and intermittent instants.Sub-sequently,a hash-based defense mechanism(HDM)is designed for detecting and eliminating malicious data infiltrated in the MGs.With the aid of HDM,a self-triggered control scheme achieves the secondary control objectives even in the presence of FDI attacks.Rigorous theoretical analyses and simulation results indicate that the introduced secondary control scheme significantly reduces communication costs and enhances the resilience of MGs under FDI attacks.展开更多

This study introduces a real-time data-driven battery management scheme designed to address uncertainties in load and generation forecasts,which are integral to an optimal energy storage control system.By expanding on...This study introduces a real-time data-driven battery management scheme designed to address uncertainties in load and generation forecasts,which are integral to an optimal energy storage control system.By expanding on an existing algorithm,this study resolves issues discovered during implementation and addresses previously overlooked concerns,resulting in significant enhancements in both performance and reliability.The refined real-time control scheme is integrated with a day-ahead optimization engine and forecast model,which is utilized for illustrative simulations to highlight its potential efficacy on a real site.Furthermore,a comprehensive comparison with the original formulation was conducted to cover all possible scenarios.This analysis validated the operational effectiveness of the scheme and provided a detailed evaluation of the improvements and expected behavior of the control system.Incorrect or improper adjustments to mitigate forecast uncertainties can result in suboptimal energy management,significant financial losses and penalties,and potential contract violations.The revised algorithm optimizes the operation of the battery system in real time and safeguards its state of health by limiting the charging/discharging cycles and enforcing adherence to contractual agreements.These advancements yield a reliable and efficient real-time correction algorithm for optimal site management,designed as an independent white box that can be integrated with any day-ahead optimization control system.展开更多
Congestion control is an inherent challenge of V2X(Vehicle to Everything)technologies.Due to the use of a broadcasting mechanism,channel congestion becomes severe with the increase in vehicle density.The researchers s...Congestion control is an inherent challenge of V2X(Vehicle to Everything)technologies.Due to the use of a broadcasting mechanism,channel congestion becomes severe with the increase in vehicle density.The researchers suggested reducing the frequency of packet dissemination to relieve congestion,which caused a rise in road driving risk.Obviously,high-risk vehicles should be able to send messages timely to alarm surrounding vehicles.Therefore,packet dissemination frequency should be set according to the corresponding vehicle’s risk level,which is hard to evaluate.In this paper,a two-stage fuzzy inference model is constructed to evaluate a vehicle’s risk level,while a congestion control algorithm DRG-DCC(Driving Risk Game-Distributed Congestion Control)is proposed.Moreover,HPSO is employed to find optimal solutions.The simulation results show that the proposed method adjusts the transmission frequency based on driving risk,effectively striking a balance between transmission delay and channel busy rate.展开更多
In this paper,a distributed Event-Triggered(ET)collision avoidance coordinated control for Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(QUAVs)is proposed based on Virtual Tubes(VTs)with flexible boundaries in the presence of un...In this paper,a distributed Event-Triggered(ET)collision avoidance coordinated control for Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(QUAVs)is proposed based on Virtual Tubes(VTs)with flexible boundaries in the presence of unknown external disturbances.Firstly,VTs are constructed for each QUAV,and the QUAV is restricted into the corresponding VT by the artificial potential field,which is distributed around the boundary of the VT.Thus,the collisions between QUAVs are avoided.Besides,the boundaries of the VTs are flexible by the modification signals,which are generated by the self-regulating auxiliary systems,to make the repulsive force smaller and give more buffer space for QUAVs without collision.Then,a novel ET mechanism is designed by introducing the concept of prediction to the traditional fixed threshold ET mechanism.Furthermore,a disturbance observer is proposed to deal with the adverse effects of the unknown external disturbance.On this basis,a distributed ET collision avoidance coordinated controller is proposed.Then,the proposed controller is quantized by the hysteresis uniform quantizer and then sent to the actuator only at the ET instants.The boundedness of the closed-loop signals is verified by the Lyapunov method.Finally,simulation and experimental results are performed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed control method.展开更多

A DMVOCC-MVDA (distributed multiversion optimistic concurrency control with multiversion dynamic adjustment) protocol was presented to process mobile distributed real-time transaction in mobile broadcast environment...A DMVOCC-MVDA (distributed multiversion optimistic concurrency control with multiversion dynamic adjustment) protocol was presented to process mobile distributed real-time transaction in mobile broadcast environments. At the mobile hosts, all transactions perform local pre-validation. The local pre-validation process is carried out against the committed transactions at the server in the last broadcast cycle. Transactions that survive in local pre-validation must be submitted to the server for local final validation. The new protocol eliminates conflicts between mobile read-only and mobile update transactions, and resolves data conflicts flexibly by using multiversion dynamic adjustment of serialization order to avoid unnecessary restarts of transactions. Mobile read-only transactions can be committed with no-blocking, and respond time of mobile read-only transactions is greatly shortened. The tolerance of mobile transactions of disconnections from the broadcast channel is increased. In global validation mobile distributed transactions have to do check to ensure distributed serializability in all participants. The simulation results show that the new concurrency control protocol proposed offers better performance than other protocols in terms of miss rate, restart rate, commit rate. Under high work load (think time is ls) the miss rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is only 14.6%, is significantly lower than that of other protocols. The restart rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is only 32.3%, showing that DMVOCC-MVDA can effectively reduce the restart rate of mobile transactions. And the commit rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is up to 61.2%, which is obviously higher than that of other protocols.展开更多
Glacier disasters occur frequently in alpine regions around the world,but the current conventional geological disaster measurement technology cannot be directly used for glacier disaster measurement.Hence,in this stud...Glacier disasters occur frequently in alpine regions around the world,but the current conventional geological disaster measurement technology cannot be directly used for glacier disaster measurement.Hence,in this study,a distributed multi-sensor measurement system for glacier deformation was established by integrating piezoelectric sensing,coded sensing,attitude sensing technology and wireless communication technology.The traditional Modbus protocol was optimized to solve the problem of data identification confusion of different acquisition nodes.Through indoor wireless transmission,adaptive performance analysis,error measurement experiment and landslide simulation experiment,the performance of the measurement system was analyzed and evaluated.Using unmanned aerial vehicle technology,the reliability and effectiveness of the measurement system were verified on the site of Galongla glacier in southeastern Tibet,China.The results show that the mean absolute percentage errors were only 1.13%and 2.09%for the displacement and temperature,respectively.The distributed glacier deformation real-time measurement system provides a new means for the assessment of the development process of glacier disasters and disaster prevention and mitigation.展开更多

This paper presents a time-cognizant logging-based crash recovery scheme (TCLCRS) that aims at distributed real-time databases, which adopts a main memory database as its ground support. In our scheme, each site maintains a real-time log for local transactions and the subtransactions, which execute at the site, and execte local checkpointing independently. Log records are stored in non-volatile high- speed store, which is divided into four different partitions based on transaction classes. During restart recovery after a site crash, partitioned crash recovery strategy is adopted to ensure that the site can be brought up before the entire local secondary database is reloaded in main memory. The partitioned crash recovery strategy not only guarantees the internal consistency to be recovered, but also guarantee the temporal consistency and recovery of the sates of physical world influenced by uncommitted transactions. Combined with two- phase commit protocol, TCLCRS can guarantee failure atomicity of distributed real-time transactions.展开更多

The architecture is cooperative in the sense that it allows adjacent local controllers to exchange information regarding the traffic conditions in their territories. A set of local decision rules and associated heuristic functions to support the cooperative architecture are specified. A protocol governing the knowledge exchange among local adjacent controllers is developed. A simulation-assignment modeling framework is used for assessing the effectiveness of this cooperative architecture under various levels of controller knowledge and network traffic congestion. The cooperative decentralized system is tested under various scenarios of knowledge and cooperation and network traffic demand levels. The cooperative system is compared against the shortest path algorithm as a benchmark.展开更多

The control scheme can change the shape of airfoil into an expected one and keep it smooth during morphing. As the interconnection of communication network and the agents would make the behavior of the morphing wing system complicated,a diagrammatic stability analysis method is put forward to ensure the system stability. Two simulations are carried out on the morphing wing system by using MATLAB. The results stand witness to the feasibility of the distributed coordinated control scheme and the effectiveness of the diagrammatic stability analysis method.展开更多

文摘Congestion control is an inherent challenge of V2X(Vehicle to Everything)technologies.Due to the use of a broadcasting mechanism,channel congestion becomes severe with the increase in vehicle density.The researchers suggested reducing the frequency of packet dissemination to relieve congestion,which caused a rise in road driving risk.Obviously,high-risk vehicles should be able to send messages timely to alarm surrounding vehicles.Therefore,packet dissemination frequency should be set according to the corresponding vehicle’s risk level,which is hard to evaluate.In this paper,a two-stage fuzzy inference model is constructed to evaluate a vehicle’s risk level,while a congestion control algorithm DRG-DCC(Driving Risk Game-Distributed Congestion Control)is proposed.Moreover,HPSO is employed to find optimal solutions.The simulation results show that the proposed method adjusts the transmission frequency based on driving risk,effectively striking a balance between transmission delay and channel busy rate.

文摘In this paper,a distributed Event-Triggered(ET)collision avoidance coordinated control for Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(QUAVs)is proposed based on Virtual Tubes(VTs)with flexible boundaries in the presence of unknown external disturbances.Firstly,VTs are constructed for each QUAV,and the QUAV is restricted into the corresponding VT by the artificial potential field,which is distributed around the boundary of the VT.Thus,the collisions between QUAVs are avoided.Besides,the boundaries of the VTs are flexible by the modification signals,which are generated by the self-regulating auxiliary systems,to make the repulsive force smaller and give more buffer space for QUAVs without collision.Then,a novel ET mechanism is designed by introducing the concept of prediction to the traditional fixed threshold ET mechanism.Furthermore,a disturbance observer is proposed to deal with the adverse effects of the unknown external disturbance.On this basis,a distributed ET collision avoidance coordinated controller is proposed.Then,the proposed controller is quantized by the hysteresis uniform quantizer and then sent to the actuator only at the ET instants.The boundedness of the closed-loop signals is verified by the Lyapunov method.Finally,simulation and experimental results are performed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed control method.

文摘A chance-constrained energy dispatch model based on the distributed stochastic model predictive control(DSMPC)approach for an islanded multi-microgrid system is proposed.An ambiguity set considering the inherent uncertainties of renewable energy sources(RESs)is constructed without requiring the full distribution knowledge of the uncertainties.The power balance chance constraint is reformulated within the framework of the distributionally robust optimization(DRO)approach.With the exchange of information and energy flow,each microgrid can achieve its local supply-demand balance.Furthermore,the closed-loop stability and recursive feasibility of the proposed algorithm are proved.The comparative results with other DSMPC methods show that a trade-off between robustness and economy can be achieved.

文摘A DMVOCC-MVDA (distributed multiversion optimistic concurrency control with multiversion dynamic adjustment) protocol was presented to process mobile distributed real-time transaction in mobile broadcast environments. At the mobile hosts, all transactions perform local pre-validation. The local pre-validation process is carried out against the committed transactions at the server in the last broadcast cycle. Transactions that survive in local pre-validation must be submitted to the server for local final validation. The new protocol eliminates conflicts between mobile read-only and mobile update transactions, and resolves data conflicts flexibly by using multiversion dynamic adjustment of serialization order to avoid unnecessary restarts of transactions. Mobile read-only transactions can be committed with no-blocking, and respond time of mobile read-only transactions is greatly shortened. The tolerance of mobile transactions of disconnections from the broadcast channel is increased. In global validation mobile distributed transactions have to do check to ensure distributed serializability in all participants. The simulation results show that the new concurrency control protocol proposed offers better performance than other protocols in terms of miss rate, restart rate, commit rate. Under high work load (think time is ls) the miss rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is only 14.6%, is significantly lower than that of other protocols. The restart rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is only 32.3%, showing that DMVOCC-MVDA can effectively reduce the restart rate of mobile transactions. And the commit rate of DMVOCC-MVDA is up to 61.2%, which is obviously higher than that of other protocols.

文摘Glacier disasters occur frequently in alpine regions around the world,but the current conventional geological disaster measurement technology cannot be directly used for glacier disaster measurement.Hence,in this study,a distributed multi-sensor measurement system for glacier deformation was established by integrating piezoelectric sensing,coded sensing,attitude sensing technology and wireless communication technology.The traditional Modbus protocol was optimized to solve the problem of data identification confusion of different acquisition nodes.Through indoor wireless transmission,adaptive performance analysis,error measurement experiment and landslide simulation experiment,the performance of the measurement system was analyzed and evaluated.Using unmanned aerial vehicle technology,the reliability and effectiveness of the measurement system were verified on the site of Galongla glacier in southeastern Tibet,China.The results show that the mean absolute percentage errors were only 1.13%and 2.09%for the displacement and temperature,respectively.The distributed glacier deformation real-time measurement system provides a new means for the assessment of the development process of glacier disasters and disaster prevention and mitigation.

文摘Recovery performance in the event of failures is very important for distributed real-time database systems. This paper presents a time-cognizant logging-based crash recovery scheme (TCLCRS) that aims at distributed real-time databases, which adopts a main memory database as its ground support. In our scheme, each site maintains a real-time log for local transactions and the subtransactions, which execute at the site, and execte local checkpointing independently. Log records are stored in non-volatile high- speed store, which is divided into four different partitions based on transaction classes. During restart recovery after a site crash, partitioned crash recovery strategy is adopted to ensure that the site can be brought up before the entire local secondary database is reloaded in main memory. The partitioned crash recovery strategy not only guarantees the internal consistency to be recovered, but also guarantee the temporal consistency and recovery of the sates of physical world influenced by uncommitted transactions. Combined with two- phase commit protocol, TCLCRS can guarantee failure atomicity of distributed real-time transactions.
文摘Distributed speech recognition (DSR) applications have certain QoS (Quality of service) requirements in terms of latency, packet loss rate, etc. To deliver quality guaranteed DSR application over wirelined or wireless links, some QoS mechanisms should be provided. We put forward a RTP/RSVP transmission scheme with DSR-specific payload and QoS parameters by modifying the present WAP protocol stack. The simulation result shows that this scheme will provide adequate network bandwidth to keep the real-time transport of DSR data over either wirelined or wireless channels.

文摘Precise temperature control and temperature distribution prediction are of great significance forradiofrequency ablation.This research proposes a real-time calculation method for the temperature distribution of radiofrequency ablation combined with proportional-integral temperature control.The thermo-electricalcoupling was simplified into a linear relationship based on the study of the influence of temperature-dependentelectrical conductivity and thermal conductivity on the PI-controlled radiofrequency ablation temperature distribution,which increases the computational efficiency by 150 times.The average calculation time for radiofrequencyablation of 10 min is about 23 s,and the difference between the calculation results of this method and that fromCOMSOL Multiphysics is no more than 1?C.This method is not only used for single-probe,but also for doubleprobe radiofrequency ablation in this paper.
文摘This paper describes a cooperative decentralized architecture for reactive real-time route guidance. The architecture is cooperative in the sense that it allows adjacent local controllers to exchange information regarding the traffic conditions in their territories. A set of local decision rules and associated heuristic functions to support the cooperative architecture are specified. A protocol governing the knowledge exchange among local adjacent controllers is developed. A simulation-assignment modeling framework is used for assessing the effectiveness of this cooperative architecture under various levels of controller knowledge and network traffic congestion. The cooperative decentralized system is tested under various scenarios of knowledge and cooperation and network traffic demand levels. The cooperative system is compared against the shortest path algorithm as a benchmark.
文摘Harvesting energy for execution from the environment (e.g., solar, wind energy) has recently emerged as a feasible solution for low-cost and low-power distributed systems. When real-time responsiveness of a given application has to be guaranteed, the recharge rate of obtaining energy inevitably affects the task scheduling. This paper extends our previous works in?[1] [2] to explore the real-time task assignment problem on an energy-harvesting distributed system. The solution using Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and several significant improvements are presented. Simulations compare the performance of the approaches, which demonstrate the solutions effectiveness and efficiency.

文摘To investigate the control of morphing wings by means of interacting effectors,this article proposes a distributed coordinated control scheme with sampled communication on the basis of a simple morphing wing model,established with arrayed agents. The control scheme can change the shape of airfoil into an expected one and keep it smooth during morphing. As the interconnection of communication network and the agents would make the behavior of the morphing wing system complicated,a diagrammatic stability analysis method is put forward to ensure the system stability. Two simulations are carried out on the morphing wing system by using MATLAB. The results stand witness to the feasibility of the distributed coordinated control scheme and the effectiveness of the diagrammatic stability analysis method.
