The efficient radio resource allocation algorithm, i.e., Pre-assignment and Reassignment (PR) algorithm, obtains the lowest complexity and achieves good throughput performance in single cell OFDMA system. However, in multi-cell multi-sector OFDMA networks, PR algorithm is not applicable because it does not take ICI into consideration. The proposed PIB algorithm balances the number of loading bits for the desired User Equipment (UE) and the major interfering UE, as well as optimizes the SINR performance; meanwhile, IBLA avoids loading certain number of interfering bits which would make SINR unqualified. Simulations confirm the ICI management effectiveness and feasibility of both the proposals.展开更多

However, in practice, the bandwidth of spectrum holes is time-varied due to primary user/secondary user(PU/SU) activity and mobility, which result in non-determinacy. This paper studies the spectrum allocation for CRNs with non-deterministic bandwidth of spectrum holes. We present a novel probability density function(PDF) through order statistics as well as its simplified form to describe the statistical properties of spectrum holes, with which a statistical spectrum allocation model based on stochastic multiple knapsack problem(MKP) is formulated for spectrum allocation with non-deterministic bandwidth of spectrum holes. To reduce the computational complexity, we transform this stochastic programming problem into a constant MKP through exploiting the properties of cumulative distribution function(CDF), which can be solved via MTHG algorithm by using auxiliary variables. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed statistical spectrum allocation algorithm can achieve better performance compared with the existing algorithms when the bandwidth of spectrum holes is time-varied.展开更多

This system is programmed in C language using the PCWH compiler. It is smart, accurate, cheap, small, light and easily movable. It is designed to automatically get instantaneous measurements of air temperature, atmospheric pressure, and relative humidity. Depending on their utilisation, these measurements are collected with repetition rate tuneable from one minute to one hour. They are displayed on LCD screen and transferred to a personal computer where they are stored and processed. As an application, such data are recorded in situ and used to estimate the radio refractivity of air near the ground in real time. This parameter is necessary to account for the propagation of radiofrequency waves through the lower atmosphere, during wireless transmissions.展开更多
