The quasi Z-source source converter can buck or boost the voltage and current flow is bidirectional. The duty cycle of the switch can be adjusted to maintain constant voltage during load change. To obtain constant output voltage, proper controller design is a must. This paper presents closed loop control of quasi Z-source converter using PI controller where controller parameters are estimated using the small signal model of the entire system. The transfer function of the system with AC sweep is used to obtain appropriate proportional and integral gain constants to reduce transient dynamics and to reduce steady state error.展开更多

We proposed a new and efficient method, Searching Quasi-Bicliques (SQB) algorithm, to detect maximum quasi-bicliques from protein-protein interaction network. As a Divide-and-Conquer method, SQB consists of three steps: first, it divides the protein-protein interaction network into a number of Distance-2-Subgraphs;second, by combining top-down and branch-and-bound methods, SQB seeks quasi-bicliques from every Distance-2-Subgraph;third, all the redundant results are removed. We successfully applied our method on the Saccharomyces cerevisiae dataset and obtained 2754 distinct quasi-bicliques.展开更多

The demand for energy derived from non-conventional sources is increasing.It is essential to optimize the efficiency of renewable energy from sources such as wind and solar.This article introduces high-gain Quasi Z-So...The demand for energy derived from non-conventional sources is increasing.It is essential to optimize the efficiency of renewable energy from sources such as wind and solar.This article introduces high-gain Quasi Z-Source inverters(QZSI)for grid-tied PV/wind energy applications to improve the limitations of conventional six-switched Voltage Source Converters(VSC).This new approach aims to revolutionize grid-tied renewable energy systems by integrating advanced technology and optimization techniques.By utilizing the unique features of QZSI and implementing the ABC algorithm,the proposed model achieves exceptional efficiency,reliability,and adaptability levels.Furthermore,the article utilizes the Artificial Bee Colony(ABC)algorithm to optimize control and track solar and wind systems'Maximum Power Point(MPPT).The model's performance is evaluated by testing system dynamics such as DC-link voltage control,power flow regulation,and grid/PV/wind energy generation on a scaled prototype developed using MATLAB SIMULINK.The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the ABC algorithm and QZSI power converter in various operational modes,both with and without fault conditions.展开更多
A quasi physical algorithm was proposed for solving the linear separation problem of point set in n dimensional space.The original idea of the quasi physical algorithm is to find an equivalent physical world for the p...A quasi physical algorithm was proposed for solving the linear separation problem of point set in n dimensional space.The original idea of the quasi physical algorithm is to find an equivalent physical world for the primitive mathematical problem and to observe the vivid images of the motion of matter in it so as to be inspired to obtain an algorithm for solving the mathematical problem. In this work, the electrostatics with two kinds of matter is found to be the equivalent physical world. As a result,the proposed algorithm is evidently more efficient and robust than the famous LMS algorithm and ETL algorithm. The efficiency of the quasi physical algorithm is about 10-50 times of the LMS algorithm’s for representative instances. A typical Boolean valued instance shows that it is hard for ETL algorithm but very easy for the quasi physical algorithm.In this instance, point set A and B is {000, 010, 011, 111} and {001,100}, respectively.展开更多

Particularly, I/O performance is of great significance. Its application is wide and expanding rapidly. I/O performance has already become the bottleneck of the whole performance of computer systems for a long time, and under the condition of the present computer technology, I/O performance optimization method looks especially important. In the paper, I/O performance model was analyzed based on the combination of quasi birth, death process and queuing model, and then solved the model. A number of important related performance indicators and the relationship between them were given. By the way of example, this method can show the I/O performance more accurately. Finally, we got some useful conclusions, which may be used to evaluate network storage performance, and are the basis of confirming I/O scheduling strategy.展开更多

In this model, a closed form expression is used for accurate determination of the resonant frequency of circular microstrip patch antenna. The calculated resonant frequency results are in good agreement with the experimental results reported elsewhere. The results show better agreement with the trained and tested data of ANN models. The results are verified by the experimental results to produce accurate ANN models. This presents ANN model practically as an alternative method to the detailed electromagnetic design of circular microstrip antenna.展开更多
