[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the application time,concentrations,and combinations of plant growth regulators,aiming to screen suitable concentrations,combinations,and treatment periods for enhan...[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the application time,concentrations,and combinations of plant growth regulators,aiming to screen suitable concentrations,combinations,and treatment periods for enhancing the commercial quality of the fruit.[Methods]‘Xiangfei’grape was selected as the experimental material.Treatments were applied at two stages:full bloom and 10-14 d after flowering.Three plant growth regulators,gibberellin(GA 3),forchlorfenuron(CPPU),and thidiazuron(TDZ),were used at different concentrations and in various combinations.The aim was to investigate the effects of different treatments on the seedless rate and fruit quality of‘Xiangfei’grape and to identify the optimal protocol for seedlessness induction in this cultivar.[Results]The optimal treatment protocol was the application of GA 350 mg/L+TDZ 4 mg/L at full bloom,followed by clear water 10-14 d after full bloom.After this combined pre-and post-flowering treatment,a seedless rate of 73%was achieved.The corresponding fruit quality parameters were as follows:single berry weight,17.64 g;longitudinal diameter,28.94 mm;transverse diameter,30.21 mm;fruit firmness,8.41 N/cm_(2);and soluble protein content,0.94 mg/g.Compared with other treatments,this protocol improved berry longitudinal and transverse diameters,fruit firmness,single berry weight,soluble solid content,and soluble protein content in‘Xiangfei’berries.It also altered the fruit shape index,reduced tannin content,and had a minimal impact on vitamin C content.[Conclusions]This study can provide a theoretical basis and technical reference for the seedlessness production of‘Xiangfei’grape.展开更多
Cyprus has an extensive record in grape production and winemaking.Grapevine is essential for the economic and environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector,as it is in other Mediterranean regions.Intensive a...Cyprus has an extensive record in grape production and winemaking.Grapevine is essential for the economic and environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector,as it is in other Mediterranean regions.Intensive agriculture can overuse and exhaust natural resources,including soil and water.The current study evaluated how conservation strategies,including no tillage and semi-tillage(as a variation of strip tillage),affected grapevine growth and grape quality when compared to conventional tillage application.Two cultivars were used:Chardonnay and Maratheftiko(indigenous).Soil pH decreased,and EC increased after tillage applications,in both vineyards.Tillage lowered soil N levels through mineralization,but the vineyard with Maratheftiko cultivar had higher soil N and K levels than the vineyard with Chardonnay cultivar.No tillage reduced yield in Chardonnay;however,semi-tillage enhanced yield in Maratheftiko.There were no major changes in plant physiology,even though Maratheftiko had less variation in stomatal conductance values under the various tillage practices than Chardonnay.Tillage enhanced N and K content in Chardonnay vines during flowering,and increased N in Maratheftiko.Total phenols and antioxidant status of leaves varied,with tillage stimulating them,especially at the harvest stage.Furthermore,tillage raised grape juice total soluble solids,pH,and total phenols in both cultivars,while anthocyanins and tannins content were increased in Maratheftiko under no tillage.The results of this study may aid in the development of cultivation strategies to enable viticulture to address various environmental challenges due to climate change.展开更多
Objectives:Loneliness among left-behind adolescents is the most frequently reported emotional problem because of parental neglect.The present study explored the relationship between maternal absence and adolescent lon...Objectives:Loneliness among left-behind adolescents is the most frequently reported emotional problem because of parental neglect.The present study explored the relationship between maternal absence and adolescent loneliness as well as its mechanisms.Methods:The study included 305 participants(Meanage=15.99±0.81,48.9%females)in southeast China,and constructed a chain mediation model to test the roles of rejection sensitivity and friendship quality.Parent absence types,rejection sensitivity,friendship quality,and adolescent loneliness were all assessed with questionnaires.Results:The results showed that adolescents with a mother absent(both-parent absent,mother-only absent)experienced higher levels of loneliness than those with a mother not absent(father-only absent,non-parent absent)(β=0.3137,95%CI[0.0849,0.5425],p<0.01).Besides,the mediating roles of rejection sensitivity(β=0.0344,95%CI[0.0020,0.0808])and friendship quality(β=0.1198,95%CI[0.0049,0.2428])and their chain mediating role were found significant between maternal absence and loneliness(β=0.0245,95%CI[0.0015,0.0575]).Conclusions:These findings have revealed the significant impact of maternal absence on adolescent loneliness and provide important practical implications for educators to reduce adolescent loneliness.展开更多

The present study investigated the effects of varying protein source combinations and feeding strategies on the growth,health and organoleptic quality of the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea).Three iso-nitroge...The present study investigated the effects of varying protein source combinations and feeding strategies on the growth,health and organoleptic quality of the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea).Three iso-nitrogenous and iso-lipidic diets were formulated.The control diet was made with 62%fish meal(FM).The other two experimental diets were formulated by replacing 45%FM with 22.5%mealworm(TM)and 22.5%cottonseed protein concentrate(CPC),or with 22.5%TM and 22.5%Clostridium autoethanogenum protein(CAP),respectively.The three kinds of diet were named as A1,A2 and A3,respectively.Five groups of large yellow croaker were fed with two different strategies:the first three groups were continuously fed with A1,A2 and A3 diets,respectively.The fourth group was alternately fed with A1 and A2 diet every 5 days.The fifth group was alternately fed with A1 and A3diet every 5 days.The five groups were named D1,D2,D3,D1-2 and D1-3,respectively.Results showed that D2 and D3 groups exhibited significantly lower weight gain rate(WGR)and higher feed conversion ratios(FCR)compared to the D1 group.The D1-2 and D1-3 groups exhibited improved WGR and significantly reduced FCR compared to the D2 and D3 groups.The A2 and A3 diets significantly suppressed digestive enzymes'activities compared to A1,whereas alternate-feeding groups significantly enhanced the enzyme activities.Compared to the D1 group,D2 and D3 groups significantly downregulated mRNA expression levels of intestinal antiinflammatory cytokines and upregulated the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators.The anti-inflammatory abilities in the D1-2and D1-3 groups were significantly higher than those in the D2 and D3 groups.Additionally,diets containing TM+CAP and TM+CPC protein sources enhanced ventral redness and yellowness indices.Considering the growth,digestion,immunity and organoleptic quality of large yellow croaker,it is recommended to replace up to 45%of FM with TM+CPC and use an alternate-feeding strategy.展开更多

Sichuan sausages with moisture contents of 40%,45%,50%,and 60% were stored at-18℃for durations of 0,2,4,6,and 8 weeks to evaluate the effect of moisture content on the quality attributes of Sichuan sausages during fr...Sichuan sausages with moisture contents of 40%,45%,50%,and 60% were stored at-18℃for durations of 0,2,4,6,and 8 weeks to evaluate the effect of moisture content on the quality attributes of Sichuan sausages during frozen storage.Product indicators including pH,colour,thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS),total volatile basic nitrogen(TVB-N),texture,electronic nose(E-nose)response,and water-holding capacity(thawing and cooking losses)were determined.The results indicated that as storage time increased,water retention in Sichuan sausages with different moisture contents decreased,while the degree of protein and lipid oxidation increased.This led to an increase in pH value,a colour shift from red-bright to grey-brown,and a deterioration in palatability.Among the samples,sausages with 50% moisture content exhibited the lowest thawing and cooking losses,indicating superior water-holding capacity.After 8 weeks of storage,TBARS and TVB-N values for the 50% moisture group were 19.5%and 2.5%lower,respectively,than those of the 40%and 45%moisture groups,indicating a reduced degree of oxidation.Furthermore,Sichuan sausage with 50%moisture content demonstrated an appropriate pH and colour difference,along with excellent texture and flavour,as evidenced by its higher toughness and satisfactory hardness.In conclusion,Sichuan sausage with 50% moisture content demonstrated the highest overall quality under frozen storage conditions.展开更多
In the evolving global economy,China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI)holds increasing significance,specially within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Despite earlier studies have acknowledged ...In the evolving global economy,China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI)holds increasing significance,specially within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Despite earlier studies have acknowledged the role of governance quality in at-tracting Chinese OFDI,their explanatory capacity regarding human development has not received sufficient attention.This study ad-dresses this gap,investigating the relationship between Chinese OFDI and human development,emphasizing the governance quality’s moderating role.Using data from 122 BRI countries from 2004 to 2021,we employed the Panel Corrected Standard Error model through Prais-Winsten regression,complimented by robustness check via the Spatial Durbin Model.Our analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between Chinese OFDI and human development in BRI countries,indicating that Chinese investments act as cata-lysts for improved well-being.More importantly,governance quality plays a vital role in shaping this relationship,revealing that effect-ive governance enhanced the human development outcomes of OFDI.Post-hoc analysis of governance indicators,both as a composite index and individual dimensions,supported this finding.Regional heterogeneity analysis further showed that Chinese OFDI has stronger effects on Human Development Index(HDI)in Asia and Africa compared to Europe,Latin America,and Oceania.However,the moder-ating effect of governance quality seemed more prominent in Oceania and Latin America,indicating its role in fostering the benefits of Chinese investments in these regions.These findings hold implications for academia and policy,emphasizing the need for transparent,accountable,and effective governance to drive sustainable and inclusive human development within the BRI framework.展开更多
Crassostrea gigas has good taste and high nutritional value;however,there are few assessments of comprehensive and panoramic analyses of the nutritional quality of the northern oyster.To study the nutritional characte...Crassostrea gigas has good taste and high nutritional value;however,there are few assessments of comprehensive and panoramic analyses of the nutritional quality of the northern oyster.To study the nutritional characteristics of C.gigas from different sources(ploidy,region,size,and culture mode),C.gigas from various ploidy(diploid and triploid),regions(Rushan,Off-site fattening,and Rongcheng),sizes(small,medium,and large)and culture modes(nearshore and offshore)were selected for comparative analyses.The nutritional components(moisture,protein,fat,and mineral),flavor substances(taste amino acids,nucleotides,and succinic acid),and functional indices(eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA),docosahexaenoic acid(DHA),and taurine)of C.gigas were determined.Principal component analysis(PCA)was used to comprehensively evaluate the oysters and investigate the variations in nutritional quality.The PCA results indicate that protein,essential fatty acids,selenium,zinc,taste amino acids,taurine,EPA,and DHA were core components contributing to 82.25%of the cumulative variance,providing a more comprehensive reflection of the nutrient composition of C.gigas.The extensive quality rankings for the C.gigas were as follows:diploid>triploid,Rushan>fattening>Rongcheng,medium>large>small,and offshore>nearshore.The score rank revealed that diploid oysters of medium-size from Rushan demonstrated superior nutritional quality compared to other tested samples.This is the first comprehensive and systematic investigation of C.gigas in northern China to reveal the feature of nutrients,flavor,and functional components.The study provided data support for the culture,consumption,processing,research,and nutritional quality improvement of oyster industry.展开更多
AIM:To assess the visual acuity and visual quality of cataract patients who received femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery(FLACS)and multifocal intraocular lens(MIOL)implantation with an improved polishing techn...AIM:To assess the visual acuity and visual quality of cataract patients who received femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery(FLACS)and multifocal intraocular lens(MIOL)implantation with an improved polishing technique during a 1-year follow-up period.METHODS:This study included 74 eyes from 37 patients,comprising 17 males and 20 females,with a mean age of 51.74±7.80 years.Using a coin toss method,one eye per patient was randomly selected for improved anterior capsular polishing,while the other eye received standard irrigation/aspiration(I/A)polishing.The polishing group consisted of 37 eyes,including 21 right and 16 left eyes,while the control group comprised the contralateral fellow eyes of the same individuals in the polishing group.Visual acuity and quality of the patients were evaluated before surgery and at 1 wk,1,6,and 12 mo after surgery.The OPD-Scan III was utilized to assess high-order aberrations,while the optical quality analysis system(OQAS)was employed to evaluate modulation transfer function(MTF cutoff),Strehl ratio(SR),and objective scatter index(OSI)for the purpose of visual quality assessment.Paired t-tests and repeated measures analysis of variance(ANOVA)were utilized to compare the results,and the SNK-q post hoc test was applied to identify significant differences.RESULTS:The polishing group’s uncorrected distant visual acuity(UDVA)and uncorrected near visual acuity(UNVA)significantly improved 1-week post-surgery(all P<0.05).At 12-months,UDVA,UNVA,and corrected distant visual acuity(CDVA)were better than the control group(P<0.05).The MTF cutoff,SR,OSI,and high-order aberrations in the polishing group also showed significant improvements compared to the control group at 12 mo(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The improved capsular polishing method has been demonstrated to effectively maintain visual acuity and visual quality in patients with MIOL after FLACS within 1 a.展开更多
In this study,the effects of low-dose sodium hypochlorite disinfection on water quality and biofilm growth in drinking water distribution systems(DWDS)after ultrafiltration pretreatment was investigated.The influence ...In this study,the effects of low-dose sodium hypochlorite disinfection on water quality and biofilm growth in drinking water distribution systems(DWDS)after ultrafiltration pretreatment was investigated.The influence of pipeline hydraulic residence time(HRT)on disinfection efficiency,by-product formation,microbial activity,and biofilm growth were considered.The results show that both microbial activities and metabolite secretion were stimulated by increasing HRT,aggravating the potential risk of microbial pollution in DWDS.The enhanced microbial metabolism could further weaken disinfection efficiency by consuming extra residual Chlorine,after which the formation of disinfection by-products was facilitated.Residual Chlorine was found negatively correlated with HRT.With prolonging HRT from 5 to 40 h,the concentration of disinfection by-products(Chlorate,Chlorite,and Trichloromethane)was on a continuously increasing trend by 37%,140%,and 75%,respectively.But the water kept in pipeline still reliably satisfied the Standards for drinking water quality in China(GB5749–2022).Besides,more biofilm with denser morphologies developed on rubber pipeline gaskets rather than the iron/plastic ones.Rubber material was inappropriate for DWDS due to its potential risk of secondary biological pollution.Prolonging HRT also enhanced the accumulation of dominant bacteria(e.g.Bradyrhizobium and Obscuribacter)and decreased microbial diversity.展开更多
Objective:Heart failure(HF)is a complex clinical syndrome that affects nearly 64 million individuals globally.Frequent hospital readmissions lead to poor health outcomes,impact quality of life(QoL),and are associated ...Objective:Heart failure(HF)is a complex clinical syndrome that affects nearly 64 million individuals globally.Frequent hospital readmissions lead to poor health outcomes,impact quality of life(QoL),and are associated with high mortality rates.This study assessed readmissions,mortality,and QoL outcomes in patients with HF in a tertiary care hospital setting.Methods:Patients aged≥18 years with HF,who visited the tertiary care hospital in Karad,India were included in the study(November2019 to October 2021).Demographics,disease characteristics,and condition at discharge were recorded using the medical records of patients.The quantitative data included readmission rates and mortality rates.The qualitative aspects describing patients'QoL were assessed using a patient-reported 21-question QoL questionnaire.Results:A total of 98 patients,predominantly male(63.3%),with a mean age of 62.9 years were included.The majority of the patients(80.6%)required<15 days of hospitalization.The 2-year readmission rate was 24.4%,while the mortality rate was 43.9%.Self-care pattern showed that patients seemed to be taking mild to average care while taking good care was rare.The QoL data showed that 22.4% were living a good quality life,44.9% average,while 32.7% were living a low-quality life.Better education and better self-care were associated with a low rate of readmission.Conclusions:We were able to assess the incidence of readmission,mortality,and QoL in patients with HF in a tertiary care hospital setting.The study showed that HF impacts patients'physical,emotional,and psychological wellbeing.展开更多

This paper proposes a fast quality control strategy for P-wave receiver functions based on AlexNet and wiggle plots.Receiver functions are essential tools in seismology,particularly for analyzing seismic wave propagat...This paper proposes a fast quality control strategy for P-wave receiver functions based on AlexNet and wiggle plots.Receiver functions are essential tools in seismology,particularly for analyzing seismic wave propagation and subsurface structures,such as the crust and upper mantle.However,the quality control of receiver functions is often a tedious,time-consuming process.In this study,we transform the time series classification problem of receiver function quality control problem into an image classification task by plotting receiver functions as wiggle diagrams and using the deep learning model AlexNet for binary classification to distinguish between“good”and“bad”receiver functions.The model achieved an accuracy of 92.55%on the testing set and demonstrated strong generalization performance with an accuracy of 89.23%on receiver functions of another seismic network(Sichuan Provincial Permanent Seismic Network).While maintaining strong performance,the model is capable of processing approximately 32 receiver function wiggle plots per second on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050.The results show that the proposed feature mapping strategy significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of receiver function quality control,making it a valuable tool for practical applications.Future work will focus on expanding the dataset and optimizing model performance for broader seismic data applications.展开更多
BACKGROUND Dry eye disease(DED)is a multifactorial ocular surface disorder with rising prevalence.It is closely related to systemic health and psychological factors,such as sleep and mood disorders,which significantly...BACKGROUND Dry eye disease(DED)is a multifactorial ocular surface disorder with rising prevalence.It is closely related to systemic health and psychological factors,such as sleep and mood disorders,which significantly impact the quality of life of patients.AIM To explore the correlations between ocular surface function,sleep quality,and anxiety/depression in patients with DED.METHODS This was a cross-sectional investigative study that included 358 patients with DED between January 2022 and January 2025.Ocular surface was assessed using the ocular surface disease index(OSDI),tear film break-up time,fluorescein staining score,and Schirmer I test.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate sleep quality and anxiety/depression levels.Correlation and linear regression analyses were used to explore the relationships.RESULTS The mean PSQI score of the patients was 9.94±2.18;the mean SAS score was 47.30±4.90,and the mean SDS score was 50.08±5.52.These suggested a prevalence of sleep and psychological abnormalities.There was a significant correlation between the indicators of ocular surface function(OSDI,tear film break-up time,fluorescein staining,and Schirmer I test)and PSQI,SAS,and SDS scores(P<0.05).Moreover,multiple regression revealed that age≥50 years(β=1.55,P=0.029),PSQI scores(β=0.58,P<0.001),SAS scores(β=0.17,P=0.017),and SDS scores(β=0.15,P=0.019)were independent predictors of the OSDI scores.CONCLUSION Ocular surface function in patients with DED is closely related to sleep quality and anxiety/depression,emphasizing the need for holistic clinical management.展开更多
Water quality is fundamental to water security,ecosystem integrity,and public health.This study assessed the impact of wastewater effluent on the Trichardspruit River,which receives effluent from two wastewater treatm...Water quality is fundamental to water security,ecosystem integrity,and public health.This study assessed the impact of wastewater effluent on the Trichardspruit River,which receives effluent from two wastewater treatment works(WWTWs).Over a 12-month period,water samples were collected across six study sites(S1–S6)to evaluate physicochemical and microbiological parameters relative to national Resource Quality Objectives(RQOs)and Water Use Licence(WUL)limits.One-way ANOVA showed significant(p<0.05)spatial differences for all parameters,and Tukey’s HSD identified the strongest pairwise contrasts at and below the discharge of WWTW-2(S5).Orthophosphate peaked at 7.26 mg/L at S5,and remained elevated at 3.6 mg/L at S6.Chemical oxygen demand reached 92 mg/L at S5,and likewise,EC and major ions(Cl^(−)and SO_(4)^(2−))were higher at S5&S6 than upstream.Microbial contamination exceeded permissible standards throughout the monitoring period,with E.coli counts as high as 7230 CFU/100 mL at S6,indicating a severe public health risk.Overall,WWTW-2(S5)showed a stronger local impact than WWTW-1(S2),while downstream persistence of salts and microbes indicates that dilution alone is insufficient.The study underscores the need for improved sewer system maintenance,infrastructure upgrades,and stricter enforcement of discharge standards to achieve compliance with Water Use Licenses.Enhanced real-time monitoring and implementation of RQOs are essential to safeguard the Trichardspruit River and regional water security.展开更多
Against the backdrop of profound restructuring in the global industrial and supply chains,data elements have emerged as a critical force driving the transformation of enterprises'new quality productive forces.To a...Against the backdrop of profound restructuring in the global industrial and supply chains,data elements have emerged as a critical force driving the transformation of enterprises'new quality productive forces.To address the ambiguity surrounding its micro-level empowerment mechanism,this paper empirically examines the impact of data elements on enterprises'new quality productive forces and its transmission channels using panel data of Chinese A-share listed firms from 2014 to 2023.The results show that data elements significantly improve the level of enterprises'new quality productive forces.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that this promotional effect is more pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises,large-scale enterprises,and low-leverage enterprises.Mechanism tests confirm that data elements empower new quality productive forces through three paths:enhancing enterprise innovation capability,improving internal operational efficiency,and promoting inter-firm collaboration efficiency.This study provides empirical evidence for understanding the micro-level empowerment logic of data elements and offers theoretical references and practical implications for advancing the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.展开更多
As a tropical island confronting the dual imperatives of tourism-driven economic growth and ecological vulnerability,Hainan's land-use sustainability critically impacts both regional development and coastal ecosys...As a tropical island confronting the dual imperatives of tourism-driven economic growth and ecological vulnerability,Hainan's land-use sustainability critically impacts both regional development and coastal ecosystem security.This study employs a coupled PLUS-InVEST modeling framework to analyze land-use changes and habitat quality dynamics from 2000 to 2020,projecting ecological outcomes under three development scenarios for 2030.Key findings reveal:(1)A persistent bimodal habitat distribution pattern,with high-quality areas concentrated in the central forest zone and degraded areas in coastal peripheries,exhibiting a continuous decline over the 20-year period.(2)Accelerated urbanization between 2010 and 2020 resulted in the conversion of ecological land to construction use,correlating strongly with habitat fragmentation intensity.(3)Baseline projections for 2030 indicate that construction land will dominate new conversions.(4)Ecological protection scenarios demonstrate recoverable habitat potentials,particularly within coastal buffer zones.These findings provide empirical validation of scenario-driven land-use planning as a viable tool for island ecosystems,highlighting the critical need to balance tourism infrastructure development with coastal conservation imperatives in tropical island sustainability management.This methodology advances spatial decision-making for balancing island economic growth with biodiversity preservation,offering replicable strategies for global island ecosystems facing similar sustainability challenges.展开更多

文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the application time,concentrations,and combinations of plant growth regulators,aiming to screen suitable concentrations,combinations,and treatment periods for enhancing the commercial quality of the fruit.[Methods]‘Xiangfei’grape was selected as the experimental material.Treatments were applied at two stages:full bloom and 10-14 d after flowering.Three plant growth regulators,gibberellin(GA 3),forchlorfenuron(CPPU),and thidiazuron(TDZ),were used at different concentrations and in various combinations.The aim was to investigate the effects of different treatments on the seedless rate and fruit quality of‘Xiangfei’grape and to identify the optimal protocol for seedlessness induction in this cultivar.[Results]The optimal treatment protocol was the application of GA 350 mg/L+TDZ 4 mg/L at full bloom,followed by clear water 10-14 d after full bloom.After this combined pre-and post-flowering treatment,a seedless rate of 73%was achieved.The corresponding fruit quality parameters were as follows:single berry weight,17.64 g;longitudinal diameter,28.94 mm;transverse diameter,30.21 mm;fruit firmness,8.41 N/cm_(2);and soluble protein content,0.94 mg/g.Compared with other treatments,this protocol improved berry longitudinal and transverse diameters,fruit firmness,single berry weight,soluble solid content,and soluble protein content in‘Xiangfei’berries.It also altered the fruit shape index,reduced tannin content,and had a minimal impact on vitamin C content.[Conclusions]This study can provide a theoretical basis and technical reference for the seedlessness production of‘Xiangfei’grape.

文摘Cyprus has an extensive record in grape production and winemaking.Grapevine is essential for the economic and environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector,as it is in other Mediterranean regions.Intensive agriculture can overuse and exhaust natural resources,including soil and water.The current study evaluated how conservation strategies,including no tillage and semi-tillage(as a variation of strip tillage),affected grapevine growth and grape quality when compared to conventional tillage application.Two cultivars were used:Chardonnay and Maratheftiko(indigenous).Soil pH decreased,and EC increased after tillage applications,in both vineyards.Tillage lowered soil N levels through mineralization,but the vineyard with Maratheftiko cultivar had higher soil N and K levels than the vineyard with Chardonnay cultivar.No tillage reduced yield in Chardonnay;however,semi-tillage enhanced yield in Maratheftiko.There were no major changes in plant physiology,even though Maratheftiko had less variation in stomatal conductance values under the various tillage practices than Chardonnay.Tillage enhanced N and K content in Chardonnay vines during flowering,and increased N in Maratheftiko.Total phenols and antioxidant status of leaves varied,with tillage stimulating them,especially at the harvest stage.Furthermore,tillage raised grape juice total soluble solids,pH,and total phenols in both cultivars,while anthocyanins and tannins content were increased in Maratheftiko under no tillage.The results of this study may aid in the development of cultivation strategies to enable viticulture to address various environmental challenges due to climate change.

文摘Objectives:Loneliness among left-behind adolescents is the most frequently reported emotional problem because of parental neglect.The present study explored the relationship between maternal absence and adolescent loneliness as well as its mechanisms.Methods:The study included 305 participants(Meanage=15.99±0.81,48.9%females)in southeast China,and constructed a chain mediation model to test the roles of rejection sensitivity and friendship quality.Parent absence types,rejection sensitivity,friendship quality,and adolescent loneliness were all assessed with questionnaires.Results:The results showed that adolescents with a mother absent(both-parent absent,mother-only absent)experienced higher levels of loneliness than those with a mother not absent(father-only absent,non-parent absent)(β=0.3137,95%CI[0.0849,0.5425],p<0.01).Besides,the mediating roles of rejection sensitivity(β=0.0344,95%CI[0.0020,0.0808])and friendship quality(β=0.1198,95%CI[0.0049,0.2428])and their chain mediating role were found significant between maternal absence and loneliness(β=0.0245,95%CI[0.0015,0.0575]).Conclusions:These findings have revealed the significant impact of maternal absence on adolescent loneliness and provide important practical implications for educators to reduce adolescent loneliness.

文摘Background:Cyperi Rhizoma,derived from Cyperus rotundus L.,is a widely used medicinal herb in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),with Shandong Province recognized as its geo-authentic habitat.However,the quality of Cyperi Rhizoma varies significantly across different regions,potentially influencing its therapeutic efficacy.This study investigates the influence of geographic origin on the chemical composition and overall quality of Cyperi Rhizoma.Methods:A comprehensive approach,including traditional quality assessment,GC-MS(g as c hromatography-m ass s pectrometry),RP-HPLC(r everse p hase h igh-p erformance l iquid c hromatography),and FT-IR(f ourier t ransform i nfrared s pectroscopy)techniques,was employed to analyze Cyperi Rhizoma samples from Shandong Province.These methods examined the physical appearance,chemical profile,and content variations,particularly focusing onα-cyperone.Results:Traditional quality assessments revealed noticeable differences in the external characteristics of the samples.GC-MS analysis identified a variety of unique chemical constituents,while RP-HPLC and FT-IR showed significant variations inα-cyperone content,with higher levels found in Shandong samples.Conclusion:These results demonstrate that geographic origin is a critical determinant of Cyperi Rhizoma quality,with Shandong specimens exhibiting superiorα-cyperone levels and characteristic phytochemical profiles.This validates the geo-authenticity concept in TCM and provides actionable data for developing evidence-based quality standards,suggesting that provenance should be prioritized in medicinal material selection and pharmacopeial specifications.

文摘The present study investigated the effects of varying protein source combinations and feeding strategies on the growth,health and organoleptic quality of the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea).Three iso-nitrogenous and iso-lipidic diets were formulated.The control diet was made with 62%fish meal(FM).The other two experimental diets were formulated by replacing 45%FM with 22.5%mealworm(TM)and 22.5%cottonseed protein concentrate(CPC),or with 22.5%TM and 22.5%Clostridium autoethanogenum protein(CAP),respectively.The three kinds of diet were named as A1,A2 and A3,respectively.Five groups of large yellow croaker were fed with two different strategies:the first three groups were continuously fed with A1,A2 and A3 diets,respectively.The fourth group was alternately fed with A1 and A2 diet every 5 days.The fifth group was alternately fed with A1 and A3diet every 5 days.The five groups were named D1,D2,D3,D1-2 and D1-3,respectively.Results showed that D2 and D3 groups exhibited significantly lower weight gain rate(WGR)and higher feed conversion ratios(FCR)compared to the D1 group.The D1-2 and D1-3 groups exhibited improved WGR and significantly reduced FCR compared to the D2 and D3 groups.The A2 and A3 diets significantly suppressed digestive enzymes'activities compared to A1,whereas alternate-feeding groups significantly enhanced the enzyme activities.Compared to the D1 group,D2 and D3 groups significantly downregulated mRNA expression levels of intestinal antiinflammatory cytokines and upregulated the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators.The anti-inflammatory abilities in the D1-2and D1-3 groups were significantly higher than those in the D2 and D3 groups.Additionally,diets containing TM+CAP and TM+CPC protein sources enhanced ventral redness and yellowness indices.Considering the growth,digestion,immunity and organoleptic quality of large yellow croaker,it is recommended to replace up to 45%of FM with TM+CPC and use an alternate-feeding strategy.

文摘With the expanding applications of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),precise flight evaluation has emerged as a critical enabler for efficient path planning,directly impacting operational performance and safety.Traditional path planning algorithms typically combine Dubins curves with local optimization to minimize trajectory length under 3D spatial constraints.However,these methods often overlook the correlation between pilot control quality and UAV flight dynamics,limiting their adaptability in complex scenarios.In this paper,we propose an intelligent flight evaluation model specifically designed to enhancemulti-waypoint trajectory optimization algorithms.Our model leverages a decision tree to integrate attitude parameters and trajectory matching metrics,establishing a quantitative link between pilot control quality and UAV flight states.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model not only accurately assesses pilot performance across diverse skill levels but also improves the optimality of generated trajectories.When integrated with our path planning algorithm,it efficiently produces optimal trajectories while strictly adhering to UAV flight constraints.This integrated framework highlights significant potential for real-time UAV training,performance assessment,and adaptive mission planning applications.

文摘Sichuan sausages with moisture contents of 40%,45%,50%,and 60% were stored at-18℃for durations of 0,2,4,6,and 8 weeks to evaluate the effect of moisture content on the quality attributes of Sichuan sausages during frozen storage.Product indicators including pH,colour,thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS),total volatile basic nitrogen(TVB-N),texture,electronic nose(E-nose)response,and water-holding capacity(thawing and cooking losses)were determined.The results indicated that as storage time increased,water retention in Sichuan sausages with different moisture contents decreased,while the degree of protein and lipid oxidation increased.This led to an increase in pH value,a colour shift from red-bright to grey-brown,and a deterioration in palatability.Among the samples,sausages with 50% moisture content exhibited the lowest thawing and cooking losses,indicating superior water-holding capacity.After 8 weeks of storage,TBARS and TVB-N values for the 50% moisture group were 19.5%and 2.5%lower,respectively,than those of the 40%and 45%moisture groups,indicating a reduced degree of oxidation.Furthermore,Sichuan sausage with 50%moisture content demonstrated an appropriate pH and colour difference,along with excellent texture and flavour,as evidenced by its higher toughness and satisfactory hardness.In conclusion,Sichuan sausage with 50% moisture content demonstrated the highest overall quality under frozen storage conditions.

文摘In the evolving global economy,China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI)holds increasing significance,specially within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Despite earlier studies have acknowledged the role of governance quality in at-tracting Chinese OFDI,their explanatory capacity regarding human development has not received sufficient attention.This study ad-dresses this gap,investigating the relationship between Chinese OFDI and human development,emphasizing the governance quality’s moderating role.Using data from 122 BRI countries from 2004 to 2021,we employed the Panel Corrected Standard Error model through Prais-Winsten regression,complimented by robustness check via the Spatial Durbin Model.Our analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between Chinese OFDI and human development in BRI countries,indicating that Chinese investments act as cata-lysts for improved well-being.More importantly,governance quality plays a vital role in shaping this relationship,revealing that effect-ive governance enhanced the human development outcomes of OFDI.Post-hoc analysis of governance indicators,both as a composite index and individual dimensions,supported this finding.Regional heterogeneity analysis further showed that Chinese OFDI has stronger effects on Human Development Index(HDI)in Asia and Africa compared to Europe,Latin America,and Oceania.However,the moder-ating effect of governance quality seemed more prominent in Oceania and Latin America,indicating its role in fostering the benefits of Chinese investments in these regions.These findings hold implications for academia and policy,emphasizing the need for transparent,accountable,and effective governance to drive sustainable and inclusive human development within the BRI framework.

文摘Crassostrea gigas has good taste and high nutritional value;however,there are few assessments of comprehensive and panoramic analyses of the nutritional quality of the northern oyster.To study the nutritional characteristics of C.gigas from different sources(ploidy,region,size,and culture mode),C.gigas from various ploidy(diploid and triploid),regions(Rushan,Off-site fattening,and Rongcheng),sizes(small,medium,and large)and culture modes(nearshore and offshore)were selected for comparative analyses.The nutritional components(moisture,protein,fat,and mineral),flavor substances(taste amino acids,nucleotides,and succinic acid),and functional indices(eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA),docosahexaenoic acid(DHA),and taurine)of C.gigas were determined.Principal component analysis(PCA)was used to comprehensively evaluate the oysters and investigate the variations in nutritional quality.The PCA results indicate that protein,essential fatty acids,selenium,zinc,taste amino acids,taurine,EPA,and DHA were core components contributing to 82.25%of the cumulative variance,providing a more comprehensive reflection of the nutrient composition of C.gigas.The extensive quality rankings for the C.gigas were as follows:diploid>triploid,Rushan>fattening>Rongcheng,medium>large>small,and offshore>nearshore.The score rank revealed that diploid oysters of medium-size from Rushan demonstrated superior nutritional quality compared to other tested samples.This is the first comprehensive and systematic investigation of C.gigas in northern China to reveal the feature of nutrients,flavor,and functional components.The study provided data support for the culture,consumption,processing,research,and nutritional quality improvement of oyster industry.
文摘AIM:To assess the visual acuity and visual quality of cataract patients who received femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery(FLACS)and multifocal intraocular lens(MIOL)implantation with an improved polishing technique during a 1-year follow-up period.METHODS:This study included 74 eyes from 37 patients,comprising 17 males and 20 females,with a mean age of 51.74±7.80 years.Using a coin toss method,one eye per patient was randomly selected for improved anterior capsular polishing,while the other eye received standard irrigation/aspiration(I/A)polishing.The polishing group consisted of 37 eyes,including 21 right and 16 left eyes,while the control group comprised the contralateral fellow eyes of the same individuals in the polishing group.Visual acuity and quality of the patients were evaluated before surgery and at 1 wk,1,6,and 12 mo after surgery.The OPD-Scan III was utilized to assess high-order aberrations,while the optical quality analysis system(OQAS)was employed to evaluate modulation transfer function(MTF cutoff),Strehl ratio(SR),and objective scatter index(OSI)for the purpose of visual quality assessment.Paired t-tests and repeated measures analysis of variance(ANOVA)were utilized to compare the results,and the SNK-q post hoc test was applied to identify significant differences.RESULTS:The polishing group’s uncorrected distant visual acuity(UDVA)and uncorrected near visual acuity(UNVA)significantly improved 1-week post-surgery(all P<0.05).At 12-months,UDVA,UNVA,and corrected distant visual acuity(CDVA)were better than the control group(P<0.05).The MTF cutoff,SR,OSI,and high-order aberrations in the polishing group also showed significant improvements compared to the control group at 12 mo(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The improved capsular polishing method has been demonstrated to effectively maintain visual acuity and visual quality in patients with MIOL after FLACS within 1 a.

文摘In this study,the effects of low-dose sodium hypochlorite disinfection on water quality and biofilm growth in drinking water distribution systems(DWDS)after ultrafiltration pretreatment was investigated.The influence of pipeline hydraulic residence time(HRT)on disinfection efficiency,by-product formation,microbial activity,and biofilm growth were considered.The results show that both microbial activities and metabolite secretion were stimulated by increasing HRT,aggravating the potential risk of microbial pollution in DWDS.The enhanced microbial metabolism could further weaken disinfection efficiency by consuming extra residual Chlorine,after which the formation of disinfection by-products was facilitated.Residual Chlorine was found negatively correlated with HRT.With prolonging HRT from 5 to 40 h,the concentration of disinfection by-products(Chlorate,Chlorite,and Trichloromethane)was on a continuously increasing trend by 37%,140%,and 75%,respectively.But the water kept in pipeline still reliably satisfied the Standards for drinking water quality in China(GB5749–2022).Besides,more biofilm with denser morphologies developed on rubber pipeline gaskets rather than the iron/plastic ones.Rubber material was inappropriate for DWDS due to its potential risk of secondary biological pollution.Prolonging HRT also enhanced the accumulation of dominant bacteria(e.g.Bradyrhizobium and Obscuribacter)and decreased microbial diversity.
文摘Objective:Heart failure(HF)is a complex clinical syndrome that affects nearly 64 million individuals globally.Frequent hospital readmissions lead to poor health outcomes,impact quality of life(QoL),and are associated with high mortality rates.This study assessed readmissions,mortality,and QoL outcomes in patients with HF in a tertiary care hospital setting.Methods:Patients aged≥18 years with HF,who visited the tertiary care hospital in Karad,India were included in the study(November2019 to October 2021).Demographics,disease characteristics,and condition at discharge were recorded using the medical records of patients.The quantitative data included readmission rates and mortality rates.The qualitative aspects describing patients'QoL were assessed using a patient-reported 21-question QoL questionnaire.Results:A total of 98 patients,predominantly male(63.3%),with a mean age of 62.9 years were included.The majority of the patients(80.6%)required<15 days of hospitalization.The 2-year readmission rate was 24.4%,while the mortality rate was 43.9%.Self-care pattern showed that patients seemed to be taking mild to average care while taking good care was rare.The QoL data showed that 22.4% were living a good quality life,44.9% average,while 32.7% were living a low-quality life.Better education and better self-care were associated with a low rate of readmission.Conclusions:We were able to assess the incidence of readmission,mortality,and QoL in patients with HF in a tertiary care hospital setting.The study showed that HF impacts patients'physical,emotional,and psychological wellbeing.

文摘[Objectives]To investigate the effects of different planting densities and nitrogen application rates on the yield and quality of the tobacco cultivar Chuxue 80.[Methods]A field experiment was conducted in Hubei Province,evaluating various combinations of planting density and nitrogen rate for Chuxue 80.[Results]At the maturity stage,the TN1 treatment(5 kg N per 667 m^(2) with a density of 1900 plants per 667 m^(2))demonstrated the most favorable agronomic performance.The TN9 treatment(11 kg N per 667 m^(2) with a density of 1110 plants per 667 m^(2))achieved the highest wrapper tobacco yield and output value.Meanwhile,the TN5 treatment(8 kg N per 667 m^(2) with a density of 1515 plants per 667 m^(2))resulted in the best smoking quality.[Conclusions]The TN9 treatment,with a planting density of 1110 plants per 667 m^(2) and a nitrogen application rate of 11 kg per 667 m^(2),is recommended as the optimal cultivation practice for Chuxue 80 in Hubei Province.

文摘This paper proposes a fast quality control strategy for P-wave receiver functions based on AlexNet and wiggle plots.Receiver functions are essential tools in seismology,particularly for analyzing seismic wave propagation and subsurface structures,such as the crust and upper mantle.However,the quality control of receiver functions is often a tedious,time-consuming process.In this study,we transform the time series classification problem of receiver function quality control problem into an image classification task by plotting receiver functions as wiggle diagrams and using the deep learning model AlexNet for binary classification to distinguish between“good”and“bad”receiver functions.The model achieved an accuracy of 92.55%on the testing set and demonstrated strong generalization performance with an accuracy of 89.23%on receiver functions of another seismic network(Sichuan Provincial Permanent Seismic Network).While maintaining strong performance,the model is capable of processing approximately 32 receiver function wiggle plots per second on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050.The results show that the proposed feature mapping strategy significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of receiver function quality control,making it a valuable tool for practical applications.Future work will focus on expanding the dataset and optimizing model performance for broader seismic data applications.
文摘BACKGROUND Dry eye disease(DED)is a multifactorial ocular surface disorder with rising prevalence.It is closely related to systemic health and psychological factors,such as sleep and mood disorders,which significantly impact the quality of life of patients.AIM To explore the correlations between ocular surface function,sleep quality,and anxiety/depression in patients with DED.METHODS This was a cross-sectional investigative study that included 358 patients with DED between January 2022 and January 2025.Ocular surface was assessed using the ocular surface disease index(OSDI),tear film break-up time,fluorescein staining score,and Schirmer I test.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate sleep quality and anxiety/depression levels.Correlation and linear regression analyses were used to explore the relationships.RESULTS The mean PSQI score of the patients was 9.94±2.18;the mean SAS score was 47.30±4.90,and the mean SDS score was 50.08±5.52.These suggested a prevalence of sleep and psychological abnormalities.There was a significant correlation between the indicators of ocular surface function(OSDI,tear film break-up time,fluorescein staining,and Schirmer I test)and PSQI,SAS,and SDS scores(P<0.05).Moreover,multiple regression revealed that age≥50 years(β=1.55,P=0.029),PSQI scores(β=0.58,P<0.001),SAS scores(β=0.17,P=0.017),and SDS scores(β=0.15,P=0.019)were independent predictors of the OSDI scores.CONCLUSION Ocular surface function in patients with DED is closely related to sleep quality and anxiety/depression,emphasizing the need for holistic clinical management.
文摘Water quality is fundamental to water security,ecosystem integrity,and public health.This study assessed the impact of wastewater effluent on the Trichardspruit River,which receives effluent from two wastewater treatment works(WWTWs).Over a 12-month period,water samples were collected across six study sites(S1–S6)to evaluate physicochemical and microbiological parameters relative to national Resource Quality Objectives(RQOs)and Water Use Licence(WUL)limits.One-way ANOVA showed significant(p<0.05)spatial differences for all parameters,and Tukey’s HSD identified the strongest pairwise contrasts at and below the discharge of WWTW-2(S5).Orthophosphate peaked at 7.26 mg/L at S5,and remained elevated at 3.6 mg/L at S6.Chemical oxygen demand reached 92 mg/L at S5,and likewise,EC and major ions(Cl^(−)and SO_(4)^(2−))were higher at S5&S6 than upstream.Microbial contamination exceeded permissible standards throughout the monitoring period,with E.coli counts as high as 7230 CFU/100 mL at S6,indicating a severe public health risk.Overall,WWTW-2(S5)showed a stronger local impact than WWTW-1(S2),while downstream persistence of salts and microbes indicates that dilution alone is insufficient.The study underscores the need for improved sewer system maintenance,infrastructure upgrades,and stricter enforcement of discharge standards to achieve compliance with Water Use Licenses.Enhanced real-time monitoring and implementation of RQOs are essential to safeguard the Trichardspruit River and regional water security.
文摘Against the backdrop of profound restructuring in the global industrial and supply chains,data elements have emerged as a critical force driving the transformation of enterprises'new quality productive forces.To address the ambiguity surrounding its micro-level empowerment mechanism,this paper empirically examines the impact of data elements on enterprises'new quality productive forces and its transmission channels using panel data of Chinese A-share listed firms from 2014 to 2023.The results show that data elements significantly improve the level of enterprises'new quality productive forces.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that this promotional effect is more pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises,large-scale enterprises,and low-leverage enterprises.Mechanism tests confirm that data elements empower new quality productive forces through three paths:enhancing enterprise innovation capability,improving internal operational efficiency,and promoting inter-firm collaboration efficiency.This study provides empirical evidence for understanding the micro-level empowerment logic of data elements and offers theoretical references and practical implications for advancing the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.

文摘As a tropical island confronting the dual imperatives of tourism-driven economic growth and ecological vulnerability,Hainan's land-use sustainability critically impacts both regional development and coastal ecosystem security.This study employs a coupled PLUS-InVEST modeling framework to analyze land-use changes and habitat quality dynamics from 2000 to 2020,projecting ecological outcomes under three development scenarios for 2030.Key findings reveal:(1)A persistent bimodal habitat distribution pattern,with high-quality areas concentrated in the central forest zone and degraded areas in coastal peripheries,exhibiting a continuous decline over the 20-year period.(2)Accelerated urbanization between 2010 and 2020 resulted in the conversion of ecological land to construction use,correlating strongly with habitat fragmentation intensity.(3)Baseline projections for 2030 indicate that construction land will dominate new conversions.(4)Ecological protection scenarios demonstrate recoverable habitat potentials,particularly within coastal buffer zones.These findings provide empirical validation of scenario-driven land-use planning as a viable tool for island ecosystems,highlighting the critical need to balance tourism infrastructure development with coastal conservation imperatives in tropical island sustainability management.This methodology advances spatial decision-making for balancing island economic growth with biodiversity preservation,offering replicable strategies for global island ecosystems facing similar sustainability challenges.

文摘Based on the"three new"characteristics of new quality productivity,focusing on the systematic reshaping requirements of digital rural construction,a four-dimensional analysis framework of"subject-tool-object-ecology"is constructed.Research has found that there are four major practical challenges in the process of empowering new quality productivity:a shortage of new types of workers and a mismatch in their skills among labor subjects;the labor tools are manifested as a mismatch between digital infrastructure and rural scenes;the labor objects are facing inertia obstacles in the transformation of industrial data;the external ecology lacks a systematic environment for element collaboration and effective governance.In response to the above difficulties,this paper proposes a systematic breakthrough path:by cultivating digital talents rooted in rural areas,creating truly useful digital tools,designing low threshold industrial transformation paths,and building a governance ecology of co construction and sharing,the coordinated efforts of technology,talent,industry,and environment are promoted,aiming to promote the rooting of new quality productivity in rural soil,and ultimately promoting the emergence of a new landscape of digital rural development with strong endogenous power.

文摘With the improvement of living standards and the shift in societal consumption attitudes,consumers demand for the quality of aquatic products is increasingly stringent.Freshness and quality have become primary factors determining consumers purchasing decisions.However,due to the high moisture content,active endogenous enzymes,and rich nutrients in aquatic products,both fresh and processed products are highly susceptible to quality deterioration during procurement,distribution,and storage,which leads to a significant decline in sensory quality and nutritional value,while also compromising safety.Today,the consumption of high-quality aquatic products has become a prevailing trend.This paper reviewed the methods for freshness evaluation and quality grading of aquatic products in terms of sensory and nutritional aspects,aiming to support the market circulation principle of"higher price for better quality"and"price based on quality",and better meeting consumer demands.Therefore,it is imperative to enhance the analysis and evaluation of aquatic product quality and to continuously refine assessment systems and methods,which is crucial for promoting industry transformation and fostering a healthy market-consumer economic cycle.
