Based on Marxist theory of social reproduction and the dual dimensions of“wealth”and“common prosperity,”this study examines the impact of the digital economy in promoting common prosperity across the four key stag...Based on Marxist theory of social reproduction and the dual dimensions of“wealth”and“common prosperity,”this study examines the impact of the digital economy in promoting common prosperity across the four key stages:production,distribution,exchange,and consumption.The findings indicate that the digital economy fosters productivity growth and plays significant regulatory roles in primary distribution,redistribution,and third distribution.Moreover,the digital economy overcomes the spatiotemporal constraints of exchange and enhances consumption equality,thereby generating both“wealth”and“common prosperity”effects.However,there are still persistent challenges,including the displacement of traditional outputs,monopolization by digital platforms,the impact on employment,and income disparities arising from the digital divide.To address these challenges,we recommend optimizing the development policies of the digital economy,accelerating the growth of digital productivity,strengthening regulation of the digital platforms,building new talent supply systems,actively addressing the digital divide,and advancing market-oriented reform of data elements to better promote common prosperity.展开更多

Many policymakers have recognized rural digitalization as an emerging strategy to improve farmers’well-being.However,in the context of China,whether digital village construction is an effective and long-term way to a...Many policymakers have recognized rural digitalization as an emerging strategy to improve farmers’well-being.However,in the context of China,whether digital village construction is an effective and long-term way to achieve farmers’common prosperity has not been thoroughly explored.This study aims to construct a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity and provide new empirical evidence from dynamic and spatial perspectives.The results indicated that China’s digital village construction effectively promoted the farmers’common prosperity,and agricultural productive service and agricultural science and technology innovation are significant mediating mechanisms.However,it is not yet long-term,as the marginal effect of digital village construction is diminishing.The spatial spillover effect of digital village construction is also more obvious than its direct effect.Digital village construction consistently plays a stronger enabling role in the western region and provinces with better conditions for agriculture.The results suggest that digital village construction in China can effectively reduce regional disparities.But establishing a long-term driving mechanism for digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity is another novel and pressing task that requires urgent attention.展开更多
Based on micro-survey data from 894 farmers in Sichuan Province,this study employs the Ordinary Least Squares(OLS),Two-Stage Least Squares(2SLS),mediating effect,and moderating effect models to comprehensively analyze...Based on micro-survey data from 894 farmers in Sichuan Province,this study employs the Ordinary Least Squares(OLS),Two-Stage Least Squares(2SLS),mediating effect,and moderating effect models to comprehensively analyze the mechanisms and effects of digital literacy in empowering farmers’common prosperity.Endogeneity and robustness are addressed using the Sobel test,the Bootstrap,and moderating effect plots.The findings indicate that first,after controlling for variables such as age,gender,and planting years,digital literacy significantly and positively influences the common prosperity of farmers at the 5%level;second,enhanced digital literacy promotes higher levels of technology adoption and information accumulation among farmers,thereby increasing the probability of achieving common prosperity.The mediating effects of technology adoption and information sharing account for 21.10%and 33.94%of the total effect,respectively;and third,the information environment and financial empowerment play positive moderation roles in the effect of digital literacy on farmers’common prosperity,with the moderation effects significant at the 1%and 10%levels,respectively.Therefore,we recommend policies that enhance the access of farmers to digital literacy training,strengthen rural digital infrastructure,establish integrated rural information-sharing platforms,and create an enabling environment for the adoption of digital technologies.展开更多

Common prosperity,an important goal of human development,increasingly has to be achieved through the common prosperity of cities.The research into and discovery of the determinants which create differences in urban ec...Common prosperity,an important goal of human development,increasingly has to be achieved through the common prosperity of cities.The research into and discovery of the determinants which create differences in urban economic competitiveness is of great signi ficance as,thereby,the research and expected discovery can help with the formulation of relevant policies for development,competition,and cooperation to promote win-win conditions among cities.However,such research is still rare.Based on the economic competitiveness data of 1,007 cities,this paper uses OLS regression and Shapley-value based decompositions regression to analyze factors affecting the economic competitiveness of global cities and differences that the cities made.Combined with quantile regression,studying the law of changing of each factor's effect on cities with different levels of economic competitiveness is of theoretical and practical signi ficance.The study findings are as follows.(1)The variability of global urban economic competitiveness is quite large.Cities in North America and Europe are still the benchmarks of global urban economic prosperity.(2)Financial services,technological innovation,industrial system,business environment,institutional environment,infrastructure,among other factors,have signi ficant impacts on the economic competitiveness of cities.(3)The primary factor that in fluenced the variability in economic competitiveness is technological innovation.(4)The ranking of the main in fluencing factors varied slightly between cities at different levels of economic competitiveness.These indicate that the international community should promote innovation in and diffusion of science and technology to achieve common prosperity by narrowing the gap between cities.The relevant decision-making departments,e.g.urban planning departments with strong economic and finance expertise of the cities in different development zones should adopt different measures in accordance with their actual situations.展开更多

This article re-constructs the calculation method of traditional Prosperity Indexes, and builds up a new indicators portfolio for Internet Industry Prosperity Indexes. By calculation, the Internet Industry Coincidence Index value is 105.9. And the Leading Index and Coincidence Index are all within the up-going range, which suggests that China's Internet Industry is likely to remain in its usual fast growing state.展开更多

It is important to evaluate operational efficiency of ports to ...More and more ports appeared along China’s coastline, which destroyed natural coastline and coastal landscape. Some of them are inefficiency operations. It is important to evaluate operational efficiency of ports to reveal their position in regional competitive environment. In this study, high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images were used to monitor ship number and plane area. The port-use prosperity index(PUI) was subsequently proposed to quantitatively describe port-use business and reveal port-use efficiency. The PUI was applied to six ports around the Bohai Sea, China. The number, scale, and plane of ships docked in these ports were easily monitored by the high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images, and the PUI was calculated using a ship’s total plane area and length of docked coastline. The PUI is an objective and practical index for evaluating port-use efficiency. It can be used to compare differences in port use and indicate temporal port-use dynamics. The PUI values of Jingtang and Tianjin Ports were the highest(17.75 and 14.14, respectively), whereas that of Yantai Port was the lowest(8.31). The PUI values of the remaining ports were 9.0–10.70. A linear relationship existed between port throughput and PUI in the studied ports. This can forecast port throughput by monitoring and calculating PUI based on high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images.展开更多

文摘The statistics of the China natural gas industry prosperity index showed that the China natural gas industry prosperity index was 337.66 in the 4th quarter of 2024,up 4.1%from the 3rd quarter of 2024,a stably prosperous state in the short term and a very prosperous state in the medium to long term;the prosperity index of natural gas production companies was 494.89 in the 4th quarter of 2024,up 5.2%from the 3rd quarter of 2024,an increasingly prosperous state in the short term and a very prosperous state in the medium to long term.
文摘Constructing a comprehensive prosperity evaluation index system from the dimensions of“affluence”and“commonality,”consisting of 23 detailed indicators,this study utilizes the entropy method and provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020 to measure the level of common prosperity across Chinese provinces.The research findings indicate an overall upward trend in the common prosperity development level among provinces during the sample period.Beijing,Shanghai,Zhejiang,Guangdong,and Jiangsu exhibit the highest common prosperity indices at the provincial level.From a spatial perspective,significant disparities exist in the common prosperity levels among different regions.Consequently,policy recommendations are proposed:Tailoring strategies for regional development based on realities,reinforcing regional coordinated development,and promoting the advancement of common prosperity.
文摘Common prosperity,an important goal of human development,increasingly has to be achieved through the common prosperity of cities.The research into and discovery of the determinants which create differences in urban economic competitiveness is of great signi ficance as,thereby,the research and expected discovery can help with the formulation of relevant policies for development,competition,and cooperation to promote win-win conditions among cities.However,such research is still rare.Based on the economic competitiveness data of 1,007 cities,this paper uses OLS regression and Shapley-value based decompositions regression to analyze factors affecting the economic competitiveness of global cities and differences that the cities made.Combined with quantile regression,studying the law of changing of each factor's effect on cities with different levels of economic competitiveness is of theoretical and practical signi ficance.The study findings are as follows.(1)The variability of global urban economic competitiveness is quite large.Cities in North America and Europe are still the benchmarks of global urban economic prosperity.(2)Financial services,technological innovation,industrial system,business environment,institutional environment,infrastructure,among other factors,have signi ficant impacts on the economic competitiveness of cities.(3)The primary factor that in fluenced the variability in economic competitiveness is technological innovation.(4)The ranking of the main in fluencing factors varied slightly between cities at different levels of economic competitiveness.These indicate that the international community should promote innovation in and diffusion of science and technology to achieve common prosperity by narrowing the gap between cities.The relevant decision-making departments,e.g.urban planning departments with strong economic and finance expertise of the cities in different development zones should adopt different measures in accordance with their actual situations.
文摘With the background of China's fast growing economy, Internet has become a key factor to keep the economy go steadily. It is important to quantitatively analyze the whole Internet industry and hence master its development direction clearly, which will provide regulators with reference for industry analysis, policy formulation, and policy evaluation. This article re-constructs the calculation method of traditional Prosperity Indexes, and builds up a new indicators portfolio for Internet Industry Prosperity Indexes. By calculation, the Internet Industry Coincidence Index value is 105.9. And the Leading Index and Coincidence Index are all within the up-going range, which suggests that China's Internet Industry is likely to remain in its usual fast growing state.

文摘More and more ports appeared along China’s coastline, which destroyed natural coastline and coastal landscape. Some of them are inefficiency operations. It is important to evaluate operational efficiency of ports to reveal their position in regional competitive environment. In this study, high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images were used to monitor ship number and plane area. The port-use prosperity index(PUI) was subsequently proposed to quantitatively describe port-use business and reveal port-use efficiency. The PUI was applied to six ports around the Bohai Sea, China. The number, scale, and plane of ships docked in these ports were easily monitored by the high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images, and the PUI was calculated using a ship’s total plane area and length of docked coastline. The PUI is an objective and practical index for evaluating port-use efficiency. It can be used to compare differences in port use and indicate temporal port-use dynamics. The PUI values of Jingtang and Tianjin Ports were the highest(17.75 and 14.14, respectively), whereas that of Yantai Port was the lowest(8.31). The PUI values of the remaining ports were 9.0–10.70. A linear relationship existed between port throughput and PUI in the studied ports. This can forecast port throughput by monitoring and calculating PUI based on high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images.

文摘Under the historical background of promoting agricultural and rural modernization in an all-round way,this paper deeply analyzes the practical significance of digital construction in rural China,and explores the problems in the digitalization level of rural infrastructure,farmers digitalization awareness and accomplishment,and agricultural digital system.Countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from four aspects:digital village construction policy system,rural digital infrastructure construction,rural digital talent cultivation system,and agricultural digital system,and the rural digital construction of Huzhou City is taken as an example,in order to further realize the goal of empowering rural farmers with digital technology for common prosperity.
