The pandemic highlighted significant gaps in the public health infrastructure impacted by shortages of public health workers, an undertrained workforce, and years of disinvestment. These gaps required innovative probl...The pandemic highlighted significant gaps in the public health infrastructure impacted by shortages of public health workers, an undertrained workforce, and years of disinvestment. These gaps required innovative problem-solving by public health agencies (PHAs), including local health departments (LHDs), to respond to rapidly changing community conditions during and after the pandemic. Many schools and programs of public health (SPPH) worked with PHAs to mobilize public health (PH) students through practice-based teaching (PBT). Current research indicates PBT benefits all stakeholders—PHAs, students, faculty, SPPH, and ultimately the community served. However, more research is needed on the utility of PBT in addressing a community’s systemic public health issues, the extent to which the academic-community collaboration enhances a PHA’s capacity, and the impact of the pedagogy on preparing the workforce for an evolving PH landscape. This paper examines the process of a semester-long PBT course, guided by the PBT STEPS framework, which includes five steps from collaboration to implementation to evaluation of a PBT course. The collaborating PHA and its student group addressed community trauma and resilience issues during the semester. Additionally, it examines the longer-term impacts after the semester for the PHA, community, and the workforce by 1) conducting a formative evaluation to understand needs and gaps in the community;2) redesigning an intervention that merged the results of the formative evaluation with the intervention developed during the semester;and 3) securing funding and resources for intervention sustainability. Through the documentation of a post-course partnership between an LHD and faculty at a large school of public health, this case study illustrates the potential for PBT to lay the foundation for ongoing research that supports more impactful interventions for PHAs while bolstering the workforce abilities of students as future practitioners.展开更多

文摘With the rapid development of information technology,digital intelligence empowerment has gradually become an important direction of educational innovation.This paper uses the case analysis method to explore in depth how digital intelligence empowerment and project-based teaching can promote the integration of primary school curricula.Taking the teaching of intelligent patrol cars as an example,this paper analyses the positive role of digital intelligence empowerment in improving teaching effectiveness and cultivating students’comprehensive ability.The research results show that digital intelligence empowerment not only enriches teaching resources but also optimizes the teaching process.Combined with project-based teaching methods,it can effectively improve students’interest in learning and performance.This study provides a useful reference and inspiration for the project-based teaching of curriculum integration in primary schools and has certain practical significance and theoretical value for promoting the process of educational informatization.
文摘According to the concept of project development, it is applied to subject teaching activities. Through the teaching process of project development, it is regarded as the teaching process of science courses in primary schools. This method is called project-based teaching. This way not only has good interactivity, but also has strong initiative and practicality. Through the guidance of teachers, students can master the knowledge they need to learn in the classroom and solve the problems in the classroom through hands-on practice. This kind of teaching method pays more attention to cooperative learning. At the same time, it also needs to strengthen training for the summary of extracurricular knowledge. Take the group as a unit to enable each group member to cooperate with each other and realize the practical application and extension of classroom knowledge.
文摘Under the background of engineering education, the result-oriented reverse instructional design method has become one of the mainstream teaching methods. Based on the reverse teaching design method, this paper integrates Arduino with the teaching mode and content of the robot sensor course. Taking the course of "Robot Detection Technology and Sensor" as a case and project-based teaching as a carrier, this paper studies from the aspects of hierarchical and progressive multi-dimensional teaching target matrix design, course teaching content integration and hierarchical project module division, teaching activity design based on online and offline hybrid, ideological and political education elements integrated throughout the teaching process, and the construction of diversified evaluation methods, etc., and forms a perfect project-based reverse teaching design system, which provides a reference for the specific implementation of robot engineering professional courses, with a view to providing theoretical support and reference for future research.
文摘The project-based learning method simply means that the students disassemble the English knowledge under the guidance of the teachers, and complete the teaching project with their own thinking, analysis and processing of the text. In the process of continuous disassembly, the students can not only deeply understand the meaning contained in the text, but also effectively play the effect of English teaching. Based on this, this paper mainly analyzes the importance of project-based teaching method in secondary vocational English teaching, and puts forward the application effect of project-based teaching method in secondary vocational English teaching. In order to achieve the effective integration effect, the following actively explores the countermeasures for reference.

文摘Blended teaching can organically integrate face-to-face classroom teaching and online teaching, so as to achieve the best teachingeffect. Based on this, first of all, the current situation of higher mathematics teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges in China andthe drawbacks in the teaching process were pointed out in this study;then the characteristics of Higher Vocational students'mathematics learning and their needs for blended teaching were analyzed;finally, a new blended teaching mode was put forwardand the effectiveness of this new teaching mode was proved through experiments. The application of blended teaching mode inmathematics classroom teaching can combine online and offline teaching and learning, which can not only provide students withresources and conditions beyond the traditional teaching system, but also provide broad prospects for teachers' teachingdevelopment, this is conducive to improving students' ability of independent learning, analyzing and solving practical problems,and to cultivating high-quality practical talents.
文摘The pandemic highlighted significant gaps in the public health infrastructure impacted by shortages of public health workers, an undertrained workforce, and years of disinvestment. These gaps required innovative problem-solving by public health agencies (PHAs), including local health departments (LHDs), to respond to rapidly changing community conditions during and after the pandemic. Many schools and programs of public health (SPPH) worked with PHAs to mobilize public health (PH) students through practice-based teaching (PBT). Current research indicates PBT benefits all stakeholders—PHAs, students, faculty, SPPH, and ultimately the community served. However, more research is needed on the utility of PBT in addressing a community’s systemic public health issues, the extent to which the academic-community collaboration enhances a PHA’s capacity, and the impact of the pedagogy on preparing the workforce for an evolving PH landscape. This paper examines the process of a semester-long PBT course, guided by the PBT STEPS framework, which includes five steps from collaboration to implementation to evaluation of a PBT course. The collaborating PHA and its student group addressed community trauma and resilience issues during the semester. Additionally, it examines the longer-term impacts after the semester for the PHA, community, and the workforce by 1) conducting a formative evaluation to understand needs and gaps in the community;2) redesigning an intervention that merged the results of the formative evaluation with the intervention developed during the semester;and 3) securing funding and resources for intervention sustainability. Through the documentation of a post-course partnership between an LHD and faculty at a large school of public health, this case study illustrates the potential for PBT to lay the foundation for ongoing research that supports more impactful interventions for PHAs while bolstering the workforce abilities of students as future practitioners.

文摘Curriculum ideological and political education is an important direction of higher education reform in the new era,aiming to realize the organic integration of professional knowledge imparting and ideological and political education.Taking preliminary landscape design course as an example,this paper expounded in detail the implementation of teaching reform from three aspects:the formulation of teaching objectives,the integration of teaching contents and the innovation of teaching methods.This paper systematically summarized the implementation effect of ideological and political education reform,and reflected on the excavation of ideological and political elements,integration degree,innovation of teaching methods,teachers’ideological and political ability and practical teaching.The exploration on curriculum ideological and political teaching provides useful reference and thinking for similar courses,and promotes the sustainable development of curriculum ideological and political education.

文摘Gene Engineering Principles is a fundamental professional course for majors such as bioengineering and biotechnology.It integrates theoretical knowledge with experimental practice and engineering applications.It is characterized by its comprehensive and highly practical nature.Aligning with the new-era higher education philosophy of‘competency-oriented,value-driven’teaching,this study presented a systematic exploration and practice based on undergraduate cohorts from 2018 to 2020 in Chengdu University.The reform focused on teaching methodology,formative assessment,and the integration of ideological and political education.Key strategies included the introduction of classical experimental cases,emphasis on pre-class preparation,enhancement of classroom interaction,focus on engineering-oriented applications,optimization of assessment mechanisms,and the incorporation of national strategic needs into the curriculum.These measures effectively stimulated students’learning motivation and research potential,thereby improving the overall teaching quality and educational effectiveness of the course.The results of the teaching reform demonstrate significant improvements in students’ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering problems,scientific thinking,experimental research skills,scientific reasoning,and professional identity.Reformed classes outperformed control groups across various instructional metrics,achieving notable educational outcomes.
