The results indica... Experiments show that programming response is one of the multimission completed simultaneously in the stage of selecting response. Therefore, a programming response does not constitute a bottleneck. The results indicate that if improved performance of an overt response Ri in the set of alternative response R(i.e.RRi|i=1,2,…,n) is expected, it is necessary to simplify the average response complexity of the set. If only the complexity of operation Ri is simplified, little effect will be produced in improving performance. The response selection bottleneck is confirmed by the results of PRP (psychological refractory period) experiments. Based on the results and the selection response bottleneck model, a key assumption about working process of response selection-scanning response selection model is proposed. 展开更多

In this paper, instead of with the more expensive Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FTIR) a new technique of Temperature Programmed Transient Response(TP-TR) has been used with gas chromatography. Therefore, the TP-TR will be applied more widespreadly than ever before. With the technique of TP-TR and electric conductivity, the study is on the reaction mechanism and the adsorption behavior of the reactants and products to the present catalyst Mo-V-Nb/Al_2O_3 in the reaction from ethane through oxydehydrogenation to ethylene as the product. By Range-Kutta-Gill and Margarat methods, the kinetic parameters of the reaction elementary steps (i.e. rate constants, active energies and frequency factors) have been evaluated. The widespread penetration of distributed energy sources and the use of load response programs,especially in a microgrid,have caused many power system issues,such as control and operation of these networks,to be affected.The control and operation of many small-distributed generation units with different performance characteristics create another challenge for the safe and efficient operation of the microgrid.In this paper,the optimum operation of distributed generation resources and heat and power storage in a microgrid,was performed based on real-time pricing through the proposed gray wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm to reduce the energy supply cost with the microgrid.Distributed generation resources such as solar panels,diesel generators with battery storage,and boiler thermal resources with thermal storage were used in the studied microgrid.Also,a combined heat and power(CHP)unit was used to produce thermal and electrical energy simultaneously.In the simulations,in addition to the gray wolf algorithm,some optimization algorithms have also been used.Then the results of 20 runs for each algorithm confirmed the high accuracy of the proposed GWO algorithm.The results of the simulations indicated that the CHP energy resources must be managed to have a minimum cost of energy supply in the microgrid,considering the demand response program. 展开更多

In this paper, based on the second-order Taylor series expansion and the difference of convex functions algo- rithm for quadratic problems with box constraints (the DCA for QB), a new method is proposed to solve the static response problem of structures with fairly large uncertainties in interval parameters. Although current methods are effective for solving the static response problem of structures with interval parameters with small uncertainties, these methods may fail to estimate the region of the static response of uncertain structures if the uncertainties in the parameters are fairly large. To resolve this problem, first, the general expression of the static response of structures in terms of structural parameters is derived based on the second-order Taylor series expansion. Then the problem of determining the bounds of the static response of uncertain structures is transformed into a series of quadratic problems with box constraints. These quadratic problems with box constraints can be solved using the DCA approach effectively. The numerical examples are given to illustrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed method when comparing with other existing methods. 展开更多

Organizations engagement in corporate social responsibility programs may benefit the organization and stakeholders. The focus of this paper is to explore the extent of employees' engagement in the organization's corporate responsibility programs by utilizing Unerman's (2007) stakeholders engagement framework. The main research question is how employees engage themselves in corporate social responsibility programs. This study employs a case study research design approach. The findings have shown that there is empowerment between employees and the management in the corporate social responsibility programs. Their involvement appears from their feedbacks and views in the surveys as well as discussion with regards to corporate responsibility programs. All in all, employees' engagement is seen as an important practice in the organization, particularly in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting the corporate responsibility program. 展开更多

In the restructured electricity market,microgrid(MG),with the incorporation of smart grid technologies,distributed energy resources(DERs),a pumped-storage-hydraulic(PSH)unit,and a demand response program(DRP),is a smarter and more reliable electricity provider.DER consists of gas turbines and renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic systems and wind turbines.Better bidding strategies,prepared by MG operators,decrease the electricity cost and emissions from upstream grid and conventional and renewable energy sources(RES).But it is inefficient due to the very high sporadic characteristics of RES and the very high outage rate.To solve these issues,this study suggests non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm Ⅱ(NSGA-Ⅱ)for an optimal bidding strategy considering pumped hydroelectric energy storage and DRP based on outage conditions and uncertainties of renewable energy sources.The uncertainty related to solar and wind units is modeled using lognormal and Weibull probability distributions.TOU-based DRP is used,especially considering the time of outages along with the time of peak loads and prices,to enhance the reliability of MG and reduce costs and emissions. 展开更多

Small-diameter tissue-engineered vascular grafts(sdTEVGs)with hyperglycemia resistance have not been constructed.The intimal hyperplasia caused by hyperglycemia remains problem to hinder the patency of sdTEVGs.Here,inspired by bionic regulation of nerve on vascular,we found the released neural exosomes could inhibit the abnormal phenotype transformation of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs).The transformation was a prime culprit causing the intimal hyperplasia of sdTEVGs.To address this concern,sdTEVGs were modified with an on-demand programmable dual-responsive system of ultrathin hydrogels.An external primary Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS)-responsive Netrin-1 system was initially triggered by local inflammation to induce nerve remolding of the sdTEVGs overcoming the difficulty of nerve regeneration under hyperglycemia.Then,the internal secondary ATP-responsive DENND1A(guanine nucleotide exchange factor)system was turned on by the neurotransmitter ATP from the immigrated nerve fibers to stimulate effective release of neural exosomes.The results showed nerve fibers grow into the sdTEVGs in diabetic rats 30 days after transplantation.At day 90,the abnormal VSMCs phenotype was not detected in the sdTEVGs,which maintained long-time patency without intima hyperplasia.Our study provides new insights to construct vascular grafts resisting hyperglycemia damage. 展开更多
