In the closed system, the concentration of K+, Na+ and OH - have not reduced with the increase of age. In the open system, the diffusion and transferring of K+ and Na+ towards free space leads to the de-crease of total alkali content. In the micro-analysis system, the contents of K+ and Na+ in the first hy- drated layer of ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GBFS) are very low, while the contents of calcium and magnesium are relatively high. This phenomenon shows that the mechanism of GBFS preventing alkali aggregate reaction (AAR) is: when GBFS is dissolved by alkali medium, SiO2 and Al2O3 are dissolved into the cement matrix, then around GBFS particles form reaction rings rich in Ca2+ and Mg^2+, and the C-S-H gel of positive charges formed in the area repulses K+ and Na+, which are forced to transfer to the mortar's matrix, pore or mortar sample surface. The transferred K ^+ and Na^+ form alkali gel products with other dissolved ions, then become evenly distributed in the mortar sample and react with Ca(OH)2 in pore solutions to form (Na,K)x-2z·zCa·(SiO2)y·(OH)x gel products; and thus changes the AAR gel products' structure. The gel products will not expand, and so they can delay expansion destruction.展开更多

文摘To investigate the effect of saturation on the storage-dissipation properties and failure characteristics of red sandstone,as well as the energy mechanism of rockburst prevention by water,a series of uniaxial compression and uniaxial loading–unloading tests were conducted under five saturation levels. The effect of saturation on the mechanical properties and elastic energy density was analyzed, and a method for obtaining peak energy density was proposed. The effect of saturation on the energy evolution was examined, and the energy mechanism of water in preventing rockburst was revealed. The results indicate that an increase in saturation of red sandstone decreases the input energy density, elastic energy density, dissipated energy density, peak strength and peak strain;the compaction phase of the stress–strain curve becomes shorter;the failure mode transitions from X-conjugate oblique shear to single oblique shear;the variation in the debris ejection trajectory is as follows:radiation→X-ray→oblique upward parabola→horizontal parabola→oblique downward parabola;the degree of failure intensity and fragmentation is decreased gradually.Elastic energy density is interconnected with both saturation and stress but independent of the loading path.Saturation exhibits a dual effect on the energy storage property,i.e.,increasing saturation increases the energy storage efficiency and reduces the energy storage capacity. The ratio of peak elastic energy density to peak input energy density remains constant irrespective of saturation levels.Water prevents rockburst by decreasing the energy storage capacity of surrounding rock, alleviating the stress of surrounding rock to reduce energy storage, and elevating the energy release threshold of high-energy surrounding rock. The findings of this study contribute to understanding the effect of water on rock failure from an energy perspective,as well as provide theoretical guidance for rockburst prevention by water in deep tunnels.

文摘Rehabilitation for patients with chronic physical conditions, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and fibromyalgia,is predominantly focused on physical recovery, often neglecting the affective and social dimensions crucial for comprehensive health outcomes. This oversight contributes to a significant mental health burden, with up to40%of rehabilitating patients experiencing depression or anxiety. This perspective article reviews evidence from social and affective neuroscience to highlight the urgent need to integrate well-being as a central component of rehabilitation. We propose a holistic rehabilitation model that includes psychological, affective, and social interventions alongside physical therapies. This model draws on existing studies demonstrating that emotional resilience and social support are key predictors of successful rehabilitation outcomes.Patients with strong social and affective well-being are more likely to adhere to treatment protocols and achieve better physical recovery.Conversely, neglecting these dimensions can exacerbate mental health conditions, leading to what we identify as a"second wave"of health crises—mental health conditions triggered by chronic physical ailments.By adopting this holistic approach, healthcare systems can improve immediate rehabilitation outcomes, prevent the long-term escalation of mental health issues, and reduce the overall burden on global mental health services, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for patients worldwide.

The gel products will not expand, and so they can delay expansion destruction.

文摘Based on the meteorological data in Fushun,Qingyuan and Xinbing from 1961 to 2008,the status quo of major agro-climatic resources in Fushun were analyzed. The abundant rainfall, sufficient sunshine and rich thermal resources were suitable for the development of modern agricultural production. The specific measures of effective use of climate resources were put forward according to geographical location and climatic characteristics of Fushun. The advantages of agro-climate resources were exerted for large edible fungi industry;effective accumulated temperature was applied for adjustment of plantation structure;three-dimensional agriculture in the mountainous area was developed vigorously. The main types of meteorological disasters constraining agricultural development in Fushun and their hazards were summarized, including droughts, floods, hail, etc. In addition, some scientific preventing measures of meteorological disaster were proposed.
文摘This study concerns the heat transfer processes during ice accretion on wires. The steady state heat balance equation assumed to describe the thermodynamics at the surface of a current heated wire subjected to icing is obtained by analyzing and computing each terms of heat flux. The surface temperature of wire is derived from the heat balance equation, which gives out a proposed estimation of the current intensity to prevent the wire icing
文摘Objective:Surgical procedures manifest immense risks to patients. One of the adverse events that healthcare professionals see as a threat to the patient’s health is the development of complications known as surgical site infection(SSI).Although several effor ts are being under taken to determine the proper means to reduce such complications, there is still a high incidence of SSI worldwide.Surgery requires knowledge in infection control and high precision in maintaining a clean surgical site. This study tested the effectiveness of an operating room(OR)bundle of care in preventing SSI in patients undergoing elective exploratory laparotomy cholecystectomy surgery. Methods:A quasi-experimental pretest and posttest design was utilized to determine its effectiveness. The study was composed of 60 par ticipants divided into two groups:30 subjects were selected to receive the OR bundle of care, while the other 30 subjects received the usual care. The groupings were determined through a systematic random sampling technique. The OR bundle of care had three interventions,namely:(1)maintaining perioperative normothermia,(2)no pre-operative surgical site hair removal,and(3)changing gloves before abdominal wall closure. These patients were evaluated using the standard instrument,Bates–Jensen Wound Assessment Tool(BWAT)in the post-intervention phases of the wound healing process, which are as follows:hemostasis, inflammatory, and proliferative phases. To describe the difference in the patients’wound status after implementation of the OR bundle of care in each post-intervention phase,Friedman’s test was used.To describe the difference in the patients’wound status in both groups after implementation of the OR bundle of care, the Mann–Whitney U test was used. Results:The patient’s wound status was lower, indicating a more healing process.Differences between the wound status of the control and the experimental group were observed on the third postoperative day. This indicates that the experimental group’s wound status healed much faster and more effectively than the control group based on the BWAT scoring severity scoring.A significant difference in the patient’s wound status from the hemostasis phase compared with the proliferative phase was observed. Conclusions:The OR bundle of care has been shown to be effective in preventing SSI in patients who had undergone exploratory laparotomy cholecystectomy surgery in the selected hospital,if there is uniform and consistent implementation of the said intervention.
文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Genni-anchun (GNC) in preventing primary osteoporosis. Methods: Fifty female SD rats of 10 - 12 months old were randomly divided into five groups. Except those in the sham operation group, animals were ovariectomized bilaterally. The gastric perfusion was started immediately after operation, with normal saline to the sham operation group and model group; GNC to high dose (2 ml) and low dos (1 ml) GNC groups and Nilestriol to the NE group, every day for 3 months. Animals were sacrificed at the end of experiment, their vertebra and
