Two sets of soil samples were collected separately from the Yanqi Basin of northwest China to evaluate loss-on-ignition (LOI) method for estimating SOC and SIC in arid soils through determining SOC using an element analyzer, a modified Walkley-Black method and a LOI method with combustion at 375℃ for 17 h and determining SIC using a pressure calcimeter method and a LOI procedure estimated by a weight loss between 375 to 800℃. Our results indicated that the Walkley-Black method provided 99%recovery of SOC for the arid soils tested. There were strong linear relationships(r > 0.93, P < 0.001) for both SOC and SIC between the traditional method and the LOI technique. One set of soil samples was used to develop relationships between LOI and SOC(by the Walkley-Black method), and between LOI and SIC(by the pressure calcimeter method), and the other set of soil samples was used to evaluate the derived equations by comparing predicted SOC and SIC with measured values. The mean absolute errors were small for both SOC (1.7 g C kg-1) and SIC(1.22 g C kg-1), demonstrating that the LOI method was reliable and could provide accurate estimates of SOC and SIC for arid soils.展开更多

In this paper the equation was solved by means of Laplace transformation under different initial and boundary conditions. The dynamic surface adsorption F(t) for a surfactant solution, which was used to describe the diffusion-controlled adsorption kinetics at the solution surface, was derived. Different from the planar surface adsorption, the dynamic surface adsorption F(t) for the short time consists of two terms: one is the same as Ward-Tordai equation and the other reflects the geometric effect caused by the spherical bubble surface. This effect should not be neglected for the very small radius of the capillary. The equilibrium surface tension γeq and the dynamic surface tension γ(t) of aqueous C10E6 [CH3(CH2)9(OCH2CH2)6OH] solution at temperature 25℃ were measuredby means of Wilhelmy plate method and maximal bubble pressure method respectively. As t→ 0, the theoreticalanalysis is in good agreement with experimental results and the dependence of γ(t) on is linear.展开更多

A detailed theoretical analysis of the pressure distribution of the orifice-compensated aerostatic journal bearing is presented. The nonlinear dimensionless Reynolds equation of the aerostatic journal bearing is solved by the finite difference method. Based on the principle of flow equilibrium, a new iterative algorithm named the variable step size successive approximation method is presented to adjust the pressure at the orifice in the iterative process and enhance the efficiency and convergence performance of the algorithm. A general program is developed to analyze the pressure distribution of the aerostatic journal bearing by Matlab tool. The results show that the improved finite difference method is highly effective, reliable, stable, and convergent. Even when very thin gas film thicknesses (less than 2 Win)are considered, the improved calculation method still yields a result and converges fast.展开更多

The effect of Al content on the reaction temperature as well as the reaction rate has been studied. Phase constituents and the microstructure of the composites and the particle size of the reinforcement were analysed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results have shown that TiCp/Al composite with 40~70 vol. pct TiC particle reinforcement and high relative density can be directly obtained by TE/QP. TiC is the only reaction product when Al content in Al-Ti-C system is no more than 60 vol. pct, but Al3Ti phase will also form when Al content is more than 60 vol. pct. Increasing Al content prolongs the initial reaction time, reduces the highest reaction temperature and the reaction rate, and decreases the size of TiC particles. In addition, the microstructure of TiCp/Al composite and the structure of interface between TiCp and Al are studied using SEM and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that the in-situ synthesized TiC particle has fcc cubic structure. The orientation between TiC particles and Al matrix can be described as (220)Al//(022)TiC and [112]Al//[011]TiC. Results of the mechanical property tests reveal that the ultimate strength (σ) and modulus (E) are 687 MPa and 142 GPa respectively when the Al content is 40 vol. pct. On contrary, 6 elongation increases by 3.2% with increasing Al content.展开更多

In this paper, the limitations of theoretical calculation and experimental methods are analyzed according to the relation between impulse loading and deformation of steel plate in thin explosive experiment. The time histories of deformation for the square steel plate under the impulse of thin explosive are calculated by the fluid-solid coupling method and the pressure loading method. The advantages of the pressure loading method and the fluid-solid coupling method are compared. The basic reason is that the SGTB has very complex boundary conditions that can hinder the effective or sufficient applications of the finite difference method (FDM) and the finite element method (FEM), despite some existing work based on the FDM and the FEM. In other to apply the BEM, the pressure control equation, i. e., Reynolds' equation, is first transformed into Laplace's and Poisson's form of the equations. Discretization of the SGTB with a set of boundary elements is thus explained in detail, which also includes the handling of boundary conditions. The Archimedean SGTB is chosen as an example of the application Of BEM, and the relationship between the behaviors and structure parameters of the bearing are found and discussed through this calculation. The obtained results lay a solid foundation for a further work of the design of the SGTB.展开更多

文摘A new high-order accurate staggered semi-implicit space-time discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method is presented for the simulation of viscous incompressible flows on unstructured triangular grids in two space dimensions. The staggered DG scheme defines the discrete pressure on the primal triangular mesh, while the discrete velocity is defined on a staggered edge-based dual quadrilateral mesh.In this paper,a new pair of equal-order-interpolation velocity-pressure finite elements is proposed. On the primary triangular mesh(the pressure elements),the basis functions are piecewise polynomials of degree N and are allowed to jump on the boundaries of each triangle. On the dual mesh instead(the velocity elements),the basis functions consist in the union of piecewise polynomials of degree N on the two subtriangles that compose each quadrilateral and are allowed to jump only on the dual element boundaries, while they are continuous inside. In other words, the basis functions on the dual mesh arc built by continuous finite elements on the subtriangles. This choice allows the construction of an efficient,quadrature-free and memory saving algorithm. In our coupled space-time pressure correction formulation for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, the arbitrary high order of accuracy in time is achieved through tire use of time-dependent test and basis functions,in combination with simple and efficient Picard iterations.Several numerical tests on classical benchmarks confirm that the proposed method outperforms existing staggered semi-implicit space-time DG schemes, not only from a computer memory point of view, but also concerning the computational time.

文摘In order to quickly and accurately evaluate gas well deliverability,it is necessary to clarify the applicable conditions of the simplified laminarinertial-turbulent gas well deliverability evaluation method(i.e.,pressure-squared method and pressure method). In this regard, this paper analyzes the PVT data, simulation wells and field case wells of typical gas reservoirs in China by reviewing the formal evolution of the flow control equation for the real gases in porous media. Then, the applicable conditions of binomial pressure-squared method and pressure method are discussed. And the following research results were obtained.First, when the pressure is lower than 14 MPa,p/(μZ) is basically a constant;and when the pressure is higher than 42 MPa,μZ is basically a constant.Second, the applicable range of the pressure-squared method can be increased from 14 to 20 MPa.In this case, the relative error of absolute open flow potential calculated using the pressure-squared method is less than 5%compared with the pseudo-pressure method. If the pressure is between 20 and 30 MPa,the relative error of the absolute open flow potential calculated using the pressure-squared method is less than 10%.Third,when the pressure exceeds 80 MPa,the relative error of the absolute open flow potential calculated using the pressure method is less than 10%compared with the pseudo-pressure method. If the pressure-squared method is used in the case of high pressure, the calculated absolute open flow potential is lower and the relative error is close to 25%.Fourth,in the case of low pressure,if the pressure is constant, the higher the temperature is,the smaller the relative error between the pressure-squared method and the pseudo-pressure method is.In the case of high pressure,if the pressure is constant, the higher the temperature is,the greater the relative error between the pressure method and the pseudo-pressure method. In conclusion,it is recommended to adopt the pseudo-pressure method in laminareinertial-turbulent gas well deliverability analysis. In the case of low pressure(below 30 MPa),the pressure-squared method can be used.In the case of high pressure(above 80 MPa),the pressure method can be applied.

文摘An application of the boundary element method (BEM) is presented to calculate the behaviors of a spiral grooved thrust bearing (SGTB). The obtained results lay a solid foundation for a further work of the design of the SGTB.
文摘Wurtzite strcture gallium nitride, GaN,a direct bandgap semiconductor (3.4 eV at room temperature),is an ideal material for fabrication of blue/green light emit ti ng diodes, laser diodes, and high power integrated circuits.Recent progress in th in film crystal technique has realized the output of blue semiconductor lasers w i th a lifetime of over 10000 hours under continuous wave operation at room tempe r ature. So far GaN and its ternary indium and aluminum alloys are grown almost uni v ersally on foreign substrates with varying lattice mismatches. The mismatch undou btedly results in a significant dislocation density in the grown films.Hence it is necessary to grow single crystal GaN to be used as substrates for improvement of laser diodes. On the other hand, low dimensional GaN materials such as nanocry stalline powder, nanocrystal assembled bulk(nanophase) and nano wires are very u seful in both fundamental mesoscopic research and future development of GaN nano devices. Here we report our main recent progresses on the crystal growth of GaN a nd the preparation of its low dimensional materials.

文摘At the late stage of continuous casting(CC)ladle teeming, sink vortex can suck the liquid slag into tundish, and cause negative influences on the cleanliness of molten steel. To address this issue,a twophase fluid mechanical modeling method for ladle teeming was proposed.Firstly,a dynamic model for vortex suction process was built, and the profiles of vortex flow field were acquired. Then, based on the level set method(LSM),a two-phase 3Dinterface coupling model for slag entrapment was built. Finally,in combination with high-order essentially non-oscillatory(ENO)and total variation diminishing(TVD)methods,a LSM-based numerical solution method was proposed to obtain the 3Dcoupling evolution regularities in vortex suction process.Numerical results show that the vortex with higher kinetic energy can form an expanded sandglass-shape region with larger slag fraction and lower rotating velocity;there is a pressure oscillation phenomenon at the vortex penetration state, which is caused by the energy shock of two-phase vortex penetration coupling.
