Such systems can be reconstructed and improved in the direction of multi-product operations. The study of this article focuses on the development of a method for multi-product operations by reconstructing out-dated industrial processes. This article contains the theory of a developed method that enables the updating of existing process units and integrated systems on the basis of reconstruction scenarios and pathways. The goals of the set out method are: 1) to maintain the existing process units and chemical plants to a greater extent, 2) to enable the potential for finding new process alternatives and technological solutions, 3) to provide a streamlined operation for all subsystems and total systems, 4) to promote environmental and social responsibilities, and 5) to apply the concept of the presented reconstruction method to non-profitable industrial processes. In regard to multi-product operations, a conceptual model is a suitable tool for the reconstruction of industrial processes. It connects several software tools and so enables quick decision-making between process alternatives. A reconstruction method provides foresight into the possible improvements to existing industrial processes. In comparison with the indirect synthesis of DME (simple reconstruction pathway), the lower operating costs from the direct synthesis of DME (complex reconstruction pathway) were confirmed.展开更多

After 2003, the government adopted a program to manage the housing crisis and satisfy housing needs. Through a fieldwork survey, we aimed to present this program by reviewing the government targets, main housing problems, governmental legislations, and construction process. We found that the government abandoned its centralized role in its National Housing Project as it opened the door of Iraqi housing market to foreign and local investors. We also found that, considering the enormous need for housing the occupancy rate of the governmental housing units are so low and construction is also generally slow. We deduced that the pricing model of the government's national housing project is far from our general notion of public housing for low-income post-war people. Moreover, it is necessary for the government to formulate a clearer strategic vision and to adopt more innovative approaches to address effectively and rapidly the trade-offs of the short and long terms objectives of the reconstruction process in post-war Iraq.展开更多

Based on the structure inversion, numerical simulation, and geochemical research, we show at least two intervals of fluid transfer in Puguang paleo-oil reservoir, one in the forepart of late Indo-Chinese epoch to early Yanshan epoch and the other in the metaphase of early Yanshan epoch. Oil and gas accumulation occurred at Puguang structure through Puguang-Dongyuezhai faults and dolomite beds in reef and shoal facies in Changxing Formation (P2ch) - Feixianguan Formation (T1f) in the northwest and southwest directions along three main migration pathways, to form Puguang paleo-oil reservoir. Since crude oil is pyrolysised in the early stage of middle Yanshan epoch, Puguang gas reservoir has experienced fluid adjusting process controlled by tectonic movement and geochemical reconstruction process controlled by thermochemical sulfate reduction (TSR). Middle Yan-shan epoch is the main period during which the Puguang gas reservoir experienced the geochemical reaction of TSR. On one hand, TSR can recreate the fluid in gas reservoir, which makes the gas drying index larger and carbon isotope heavier. On the other hand, the reciprocity between fluid regarding TSR (hydrocarbon, H2S, and water) and reservoir rock induces erosion of the reservoir rocks and anhydrite alteration, which improves reservoir petrophysical properties. Superimposed by later tectonic movement, the fluid in Puguang reservoir has twice experienced adjustment, one in the late Yanshan epoch to the early Himalayan epoch and the other time in late Himalayan epoch, after which Puguang gas reservoir is finally developed.展开更多

With a well-known international east and funding from a number of foreign sources, this movie heralds in a new era for Lusophone African cinema. Director Zezo Gamboa highlights the difficult reality faced by those living in Luanda, the capital of Angola, with scenes of water and electricity shortages, unemployment, and gang violence. He also touches upon some of the themes from the work of famed Senegalese author and director Ousmane Sembone such as corruption and neo-colonialism. One of the very few Angolan movies that has been shown at international festivals and theaters, O Heroi (2004) not only offers a harsh portrayal of living conditions after 40 years of conflict, especially that of the treatment of disabled veterans injured in the mine fields that still are found throughout the country, but also creates a sense of hope for families displaced by war to be reunited or at least form new bonds in the future.展开更多

However, whether and how AOX impacts the chloroplast biogenesis in algal cells remains unclear. In the present study, the role of AOX in regulating the reassembly of chloroplast in algal cells was investigated by treating Auxenochlorella protothecoides with salicylhydroxamic acid(SHAM), the specific inhibitor to AOX, in the heterotrophy to autotrophy transition process. Several lines of evidences including delayed chlorophyll accumulation, lagged reorganization of chloroplast structure, altered PSI/PSII stoichiometry, and declined photosynthetic activities in SHAM treated cells indicated that the impairment in AOX activity dramatically hindered the development of functioning chloroplast in algal cells. Besides, the cellular ROS levels and activities of antioxidant enzymes were increased by SHAM treatment, and the perturbation on the balance of NAD+/NADH and NADP+/NADPH ratios was also observed in A. protothecoides lacking AOX activity, indicating that AOX was essential in promoting ROS scavenging and keeping the redox homeostasis for algal chloroplast development during greening. Overall, our study revealed the essentiality of mitochondrial AOX pathway in sustaining algal photosynthetic performance and provided novel insights into the physiological roles of AOX on the biogenesis of photosynthetic organelle in algae.展开更多

However, realizing ROS removal efficiency and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) activity within a single system represents a significant challenge to date. Herein, we demonstrate uniform ROS elimination sites and ORR centers through an electrochemical reconstruction method on the parallel sites of Fe@Ce NC electrocatalyst for durable PEMFC. During the reconstruction process, the Fe sites can retain their original configuration. Meanwhile, the pristine Ce clusters will evolve into more efficient, highly dispersed sites.Furthermore, the reconstructed Fe and Ce sites exhibit favorable energy barriers for the ORR and ROS elimination pathways, respectively, thereby maintaining ORR activity and achieving high ROS tolerance. Consequently, the PEMFC assembled with our catalyst shows only a 2% decay in power density after the accelerated durability test. We anticipate that this parallel structure design will provide new insight into the development of more durable electrocatalysts for PEMFCs.展开更多
