Sedimentary inorganic phosphorus were fractioned into four forms and the rank order according to the mean concentration of P-fractions in Taihu Lake was NaOH-P>BD-P>HCl-P>NH_4Cl-P. The concentrations of BD-P were linearly correlated with the content of active Fe(R2=0.96). Also, the linear relationship between the sum of BD-P and NaOH-P and the sum of active Fe and active Al content was observed within the six sediments investigated(R2=0.96). Moreover, the bio-available phosphorus(BAP) content was estimated by the sum of NH_4Cl-P, BD-P, and NaOH-P, viz. BAP=NH_4Cl-P+NaOH-P+BD-P. In Taihu Lake, the BAP contents are ranging from 0.10 mg/g dw to 1.25 mg/g dw, and average 0.40 mg/g dw for all sediment samples. The relative contributions of BAP to total sedimentary phosphorus(TP) and inorganic sedimentary phosphorus(IP) range from 18.67% to 50.79%(33.61% on average) and from 52.82% to 82.09%(67.81% on average), respectively.展开更多

[Method] Surface sediment was discretely sampled at 24 sites through Van Veen grabs. Based on a modified sequential extraction scheme, P fractionation was determined as Fe/Al bound P (Fe/Al-P), Ca bound P (Ca-P), solute and re-ductive P (S/R-P) and organic P (OP). Curve estimation and Pearson product-mo-ment correlation were employed for statistical analysis. [Result] Total P (TP) content ranged from 443 to 774 mg/kg. Inorganic P (IP) was the major component of TP, of which Ca-P was dominated with an average of 51%±9.7%. Average contents of P fractionation were in the fol owing order: Ca-P(51%) 〉 OP(29%) 〉 S/R-P(8%) 〉Fe/Al-P(7%). The molar ratio of Fe to P was 11 - 20, close to the threshold value of P leaching. [Conclusion] In freshwater shal ow lakes, IP and Ca-P were prone to be relatively high, whereas Fe/Al-P was low compared with deep lakes. Occurrence of spatial y monotonic gradient indicated the primary causation of anthropogenic sources. Imminent sediment P liberation was also expected. Close associations a-mong TP, Fe/Al-P and Ca-P, implying that anthropogenic P was mainly bound to metals in particulates. Significant correlations of TOC and P fractionation highlighted endogenous mechanism and authigenic origin in sediments.展开更多

Hedley's extraction was used to separate soil phosphorus (P) into inorganic Pi (geochemical) and organic Po (biological) fractions. Direct extractable P by Olsen (Olsen-P), by Mehlich llI (M3-P) and by ammonium oxalate (Pox) was also determined. Phosphorus sorption was carried out with 1:10 soil/solution ratio and sorption parameters were derived from the Langmuir model to the experimental data. Most of the total P occurred in inorganic P forms (74% of Pt), while organic P comprised only 26% of the Pt. Among the various inorganic P forms relatively large amount of residual P (111 mg kg^-1) was observed, while occluded P in calcium phosphate minerals (d.HCI-Pi) and in Fe, Al-oxides (c.HCI-Pi) existed in equal amounts (83.1 and 83.7 mg kg^-1 respectively). The phosphorus sorption parameters showed positive relationships with clay content, cation exchange capacity and the sum of exchangeable calcium plus magnesium. Overall, this study indicated that Ca and Mg compounds strongly influence the P chemistry in moderately weathered soils, with relatively high concentration of primary P minerals.展开更多

Additionally, such studies need to include potential variations in soil carbon(C) structure and microbial community composition. In this study, a long-term rice-wheat rotation P-input reduction experiment was conducted to observe the variations in soil P pools and C composition in the 7th wheat season and to investigate the responses of soil enzyme activity and microbial communities. Four P fertilization treatments were included in the experiment, i.e., P application for rice season only(PR), for wheat season only(PW), and for both rice and wheat seasons(PR+W) and no P application in either season(Pzero). Compared with PR+W treatment, Pzero treatment significantly decreased(P < 0.05) labile and stable P pools. Different P fertilization regimes altered soil microbial community composition and enzyme activity, whereas C composition did not vary. However, PW treatment resulted in relatively more O-alkyl-C than PR treatment and the highest number of microorganisms. Besides, the higher ratios of fungi/bacteria and Gram-positive bactetia/Gram-negative bactetia were related to labile C pools, particularly O-alkyl-C, as opposed to recalcitrant C. Our results clarified the status of soil P pools, C chemistry, and the response of microorganisms under dry-farming conditions in the P input-reduced rice-wheat rotation system.展开更多

The treatments included Kunyang phosphate rock (KPR) applications at 50 mg P/kg (KPRs0) and 250 mg P/kg (KPR250), mono-calcium phosphate (MCP) application at 50 mg P/kg (MCP50), and the control without P application. The results showed that KPR50, KPR250, and MCP50 applications significantly increased the dry weight of the ryegrass by 13%, 38%, and 55%, and increased P uptake by 19%, 135%, and 324%, respectively. Compared with MCP50, the relative effectiveness of KPR50 and KPR250 treatments in ryegrass production was about 23% and 68%, respectively. After one season ofryegrass growth, the KPR50, KPR250, and MCP50 applications increased soil-available P by 13.4%, 26.8%, and 55.2%, respectively. More than 80% of the applied KPR-P remained as HC1-P fraction in the soil. Phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) analysis showed that the total and bacterial PLFAs were significantly higher in the soils with KPR250 and MCP50 treatments compared with KPR50 and control. The latter had no significant difference in the total or bacterial PLFAs. The KPR50, KPR250, and MCP50 treatments increased fungal PLFA by 69%, 103%, and 69%, respectively. Both the principal component analysis and the cluster analysis of the PLFA data suggest that P treatments altered the microbial community composition of the soils, and that P availability might be an important contributor to the changes in the microbial community structure during the ryegrass growth in the paddy soils.展开更多

Understanding of P and its fractions in soils on a regional scale is imperative for effective management or utilization of P and the improvement of P availability in soils. To study spatial variability and changes of soil P and its fractions as affected by farming practices, soil samples were taken in Rugao County, Jiangsu Province of China, an intensive agricultural area in the Yangtze River Delta region, in years of 1982(n = 1 514), 1997(n = 1 651), and 2002(n = 342). High spatial variabilities of Olsen P and total P(TP) were observed throughout the study area. Loamy Stagnic Anthrosols and clay or loamy Aquic Cambosols had significantly higher concentrations of Olsen P and TP than sandy Ustic Cambosols and Aquic Cambosols. Olsen P and TP were increased from 1982 to 2002. The accumulations of Olsen P and TP in the cultivated soils were likely related to the increased application of P fertilizer, organic input, and soil incorporation of crop residues as well as conversion of soil use. Accumulated soil P was dominantly in labile and semi-labile P fractions. These P fractions may be utilized by future crop production by adjusting management practices, but they also pose a serious threat to nearby water bodies. Future strategies should include decreasing P fertilization in soils and supporting sustainable management. The information from this study can be used to monitor changes in soil fertility and environmental risks so that the use of fertilizers can become more rational.展开更多

On-farm trials in phosphate-deficient soils in Western Kenya demonstrated MPR to be as effective as triple superphosphate (TSP) - 20% P, at equal P rates. The aim of this work is to determine the distribution of phosphorus in these phosphate rocks (PRs). The different phosphorus fractions were extracted using the modified Williams extraction procedure and analysis carried on a UV/VIS spectrometer (SHIMADZU UV-220-02 and NOVASPEC II). The analysis showed that the most abundant form of phosphorus in the phosphate rocks was the Inorganic Phosphorus (IP) contributing 74.20% of total phosphorus (TP) for Minjingu, and 83,28% of total phosphorus for Ikutha phosphate rock.展开更多

Five fractions of sedimentary P, including loosely sorbed P (NH4Cl-P), redox-sensitive P (BD-P), metal oxide bound P (NaOH-P), calcium bound P (HCI-P), and residual P (Res-P) (organic and refractory P), were separately quantified. The results indicated that the contents of different P fractions in the sediments varied greatly. The total P (TP) contents ranged from 968 to 2017 mg/kg. Phosphorus contents in NH4Cl-P, BD-P, NaOH-P, and HCl-P ranged from 6.7 to 26.6 mg/kg, 54.5 to 90.2 mg/kg, 185.2 to 382.5 mg/kg, and 252.3 to 425.5 mg/kg, respectively, which represented 1.2%-3.2%, 7.7%-13%, 33.3%-48.9%, and 36.2%-54.2% of the sedimentary inorganic P, respectively. For all the sediment samples, the rank order of P-fractions was Res-P 〉 HCl-P 〉 NaOH-P 〉 BD-P 〉 NH4Cl-P. The highly positive relationship between the amounts of P released from the sediments and those in the NH4Cl-P and BD-P fractions, indicated that NH4Cl-P and BD-P were the main fractions that can release P easily.展开更多

The properties of DO (dissolved oxygen), pH, P fractions (TE Ca-E Fe-R OE IP), and APA (alkaline phospfiatase activity) at the water sediment interface were measured to investigate microbial activity variations in surface sediment under conditions of two-month intermittent aeration in overlying water. Results showed that DO and TP of overlying water increased rapidly in the first week and then decreased gradually after 15 day of intermittent aeration. Microorganism metabolism in surface sediment increased pH and decreased DO and TP in the overlying water. After two-month intermittent aeration, APA and OP from surface sediment (0-2 cm) were both significantly higher than those from bottom sediment (6-8 cm) (p 〈 0.05), and surface sediment Fe-P was transferred to OP during the course of microorganism reproduction on the surface sediment. These results suggest that microbial activity and microorganism biomass from the surface sediment were higher than those from bottom sediment after two-month intermittent aeration in the overlying water.展开更多

Zhongbu 51 and Pembe) different in P uptake ability and their relationship with the depletion of soil P fractions. Plant P uptake, pH, phosphatase activity, and soil P fractions in the rhizosphere were measured. Both total dry weight and total P uptake of Pembe were significantly (P < 0.05) higher than those of Zhongbu 51 in the zero-P and plus-P treatments. Significant depletions of resin-Pi, NaHCO3-Pi, NaHCO3-Po, and NaOH-Pi, where Pi stands for inorganic P and Po for organic P, were observed in the rhizosphere of both Zhongbu 51 and Pembe under both P treatments. Pembe showed a greater ability than Zhongbu 51 in depleting resin-Pi, NaHCO3-Pi, NaHCO3-Po, NaOH-Pi, and NaOH- Po in the rhizosphere. HCl-Pi and residual-P were not depleted in the rhizosphere of both genotypes, regardless of P treatments despite significant acidification in the rhizosphere of Pembe under zero-P treatment. Higher acid phosphatase (AcPME) activity and alkaline phosphatase (AlPME) activity were observed in the rhizosphere of both Zhongbu 51 and Pembe compared to the corresponding controls without plant. AcPME activity was negatively (P < 0.01) correlated to NaHCO3-Po concentration in the rhizosphere of both Zhongbu 51 and Pembe, suggesting that AcPME was associated with the mineralization of soil organic P.展开更多

Under a wheat-soybean-corn rotation, during twelve years where no fertilizer was applied, crops removed 60 and 81 mg P kg-1 soil in the control and NK treatment, respectively. About one third of the P absorbed by crops was originated from organic P. Ca2-P, Cag-P, Al-P and Fe-P were the main forms of inorganic P absorbed by crops. The surplus P from fertilization remained in the 0-20 cm soil layer and increased with the application rate of P. The combined application of NP or NPK increased available P to a lesser extent than the combined application of PK. Fertilizer P had mainly transformed to the Al-P, Fe-P, Ca2-P, and Cas-P forms. By using the P budget (X), changes in total P (Y1) and available P (Y2) in soils under the current cropping system could be predicted by the equations: Y1 = 0.02 + 1.01X and Y2 = 2.08 + 0.15X.展开更多

Four forms of P in overlying water, including dissolved inorganic P, dissolved total P, total P, and particulate P, and six fractions of P in suspended particulate matter (SPM), including loosely sorbed P (NH4Cl-P), redox-sensitive P (BD-P), aluminum-bound P (Al- P), organic P (NaOH-nrP), calcium-bound P (Ca-P) and residual P (Res-P), were quantified, respectively. Different hydrodynamic conditions resulted in different P form changes. Four states could be ascribed: (1) P desorption by sediment and SPM, and P adsorption by overlying water; (2) P desorption by SPM, and P adsorption by overlying water; (3) P adsorption by SPM, and P desorption by overlying water; and (4) P equilibrium between SPM and overlying water. The contents of P in overlying water acquired peak values in the middle position of the vertical P distribution due to the combined actions of SPM and sediment. P fractions in SPM were in the following order: BD-P 〉 NaOH-nrp 〉 Ca-P 〉 Al-P 〉 Res-P 〉 NH4Cl-P. BD-P in SPM frequently exchanged with P forms in overlying water. Resuspension was favorable to forming Ca-P in SPM.展开更多

Four treatments from a 29-year long-term experiment in black soil with maize cropping were involved in this study: no fertilizer(CK), inorganic nitrogen and potassium(NK), inorganic nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium(NPK), and NPK plus manure(NPKM). We analyzed soil P fractions in different soil layers using a modified Hedley sequential method. The long-term NPKM treatment significantly increased total P by 0.6–1.6 times in the different soil layers. The Olsen-P concentration far exceeded the environmental threshold for soil Olsen-P(50.6 mg kg) in the NPKM treatment in the 0–60 cm soil profile. Moreover, the concentrations and proportion of labile and partially labile inorganic P(Pi) fractions(i.e., Na HCO-extracted Pi, Na OH-extracted Pi, and dilute HClextracted Pi) to the sum of all P fractions(Pt) in the 0–60 cm soil profile were higher in the NPKM treatment than in the NPK treatment, indicating that manure could promote the transformation of non-labile into more labile forms of P in soil, possibly by manure reducing P fixation by soil particles. Soil organic matter, Mehlich-3 extractable iron(Fe), and organic-bound aluminum were increased by fertilization, and were the main factors influencing the differences in the P fractions in the 0–20 cm soil layer. Soil mineral components, i.e., free Fe oxide and Ca CO, were the main factors influencing the P fractions in the subsoil. The soil P transformation process varied with soil layer and fertilization. Application of manure fertilizer can increase the labile(Olsen) P concentrations of the various soil layers, and thus should reduce the mineral P fertilizer requirement for crop growth and reduce potential environmental damage.展开更多

To better understand how maize responds to P deficiency, a field experiment with two P levels, 0 and 100 kg P205 ha-1 (P0 and P100, respectively), was carried out as a part of a long-term Pfertilizer field trial. Plant and soil analyses showed that P-deficient maize reduced its growth rate, increased P use efficiency, and formed more thin roots with the diameter less than 0.6 mm at jointing and silking stages, compared to the plants treated with P100. Further, there were no differences in major inorganic P fractions (Ca2-P, Cas-P, Al-P, Fe-P, occluded P and Ca10-P) between the rhizospheric and bulk soils at each harvest, even when soil Olsen-P was only 1.38 mg kg-1. These results suggested that maize responded to P deficiency by reducing the internal P demand for growth and increasing P acquisition ability by favorable root morphological alteration at low carbon cost.展开更多

文摘Typical sediments from Taihu Lake, a meso-to-hypereutrophic lake, were collected and examined on the basis of P-fractionation by sequential extraction scheme. The relative contributions of BAP to total sedimentary phosphorus(TP) and inorganic sedimentary phosphorus(IP) range from 18.67% to 50.79%(33.61% on average) and from 52.82% to 82.09%(67.81% on average), respectively.

Significant correlations of TOC and P fractionation highlighted endogenous mechanism and authigenic origin in sediments.
文摘Phosphorus fractionation and sorption, both separately and jointly, were studied in two cultivated Inceptisols in Northern Greece. Overall, this study indicated that Ca and Mg compounds strongly influence the P chemistry in moderately weathered soils, with relatively high concentration of primary P minerals.

文摘Limitations regarding phosphorus(P)are widespread in ecosystems.Understanding the impacts of the wetland types on microbially mediated soil P availability and cycling is essential for the effective management of wetlands. In this study, the Beidagang wetland,Baodi paddy field, and Dahuangpu wetland in Tianjin,China were chosen as representatives of the coastal wetland(B),constructed wetland(R),and swampy wetland(W),respectively.Sequential P extraction and metagenomics approaches were adopted to explore the soil P fraction and microbially regulated P cycle.Proteobacteria were the predominant microbes-related soil P cycle.IMPA,gph,rsbU_P,ugpQ,and glpK genes were dominant in organic P(Po)mineralization, while gcd, ppa, and ppx genes were dominant in inorganic P(Pi)solubilization. The salinity,NO_(3)^(-)-N concentration, the ratio of total carbon to total nitrogen(TC/TN),total carbon(TC),and the ratio of soil organic carbon to total P(SOC/TP)were the co-drivers of microbially mediated P cycle processes.Microbial network complexity-relate P cycle was the lowest in the coastal wetland.Salinity and NO_(3)^(-)-N exhibited a significant negative relation to the abundance of most genes-relate Pi solubilization and a remarkable positive correlation with the abundance of many genes-relate Po mineralization. These findings demonstrated that Po mineralization tended to occur in habitats with high salinity and nutrient imbalances, whereas the dissolution of Pi was prone to occur in low-salinity environments with relatively balanced soil nutrients. This study improves understanding of how salinity and soil nutrients jointly shape microbial-regulated soil P cycle in different types of wetlands.

文摘Understanding how different vegetation-based restoration practices alter soil chemical and microbial characteristics is crucial,as restoration practices influence phosphorus(P)transformation and fractions and modify P adsorption behavior during the restoration process of degraded land. This study investigated the impacts of vegetation-based restoration practices on soil chemical and microbial parameters,P fractions, and patterns of P adsorption and desorption, and highlighted the combined influence on P availability. To evaluate the impact of vegetation-based restoration practices on P fractions and adsorption behavior in the semi-arid degraded land in India, this study compared three distinct tree-based restoration systems, including Leucaena leucocephala(Lam.)de Wit-based silviculture system(SCS),Acacia nilotica(L.)Willd.ex Delile-based silvopasture system(SPS),and Emblica officinalis Gaertn-based hortipasture system(HPS),with a natural grassland system(NGS)and a degraded fallow system(FS)as control. The soil samples across various soil depths(0-15,15-30,and 30-45 cm)were collected. The findings demonstrated that SCS,SPS,and HPS significantly improved soil organic carbon(SOC)and nutrient availability. Moreover,SCS and SPS resulted in increased microbial biomass phosphorus(MBP)content and phosphatase enzyme activity. The P fractionation analysis revealed that ferrum-associated phosphorus(Fe-P)was the major P fraction, followed by aluminum-associated phosphorus(Al-P),reflecting the dominance of ferrum(Fe)and aluminum(Al)oxides in the semi-arid degraded land.Compared with FS,vegetation-based restoration practices significantly increased various P fractions across soil depths.Additionally,P adsorption and desorption analysis indicated a lower adsorption capacity in tree-based restoration systems than in FS,with FS soils adsorbing higher P quantities in the adsorption phase but releasing less P during the desorption phase. This study revealed that degraded soils responded positively to ecological restoration in terms of P fraction and desorption behavior, influencing the resupply of P in restoration systems.Consequently, litter rich N-fixing tree-based restoration systems(i.e.,SCS and SPS)increased total phosphorus(TP)stock for plants and sustained the potential for long-term P supply in semi-arid ecosystems. With the widespread adoption of restoration practices across degraded landscapes,SCS and SPS would significantly contribute to soil restoration and improve productivity by maintaining the soil P supply in semi-arid ecosystems in India.

文摘Nitrogen(N)enrichment is expected to induce a greater phosphorus(P)limitation, despite the acceleration of soil P cycling. However, the changing patterns in plant P and soil available P after N enrichment, and their regulatory mechanisms, remain poorly understood in alpine meadows. Here,we conducted a field experiment with four N addition rates(0,5,10,and 15 g N m^(-2)yr^(-1))in an alpine meadow, and investigated the P in plants, microorganisms, and soil to determine their patterns of change after short-term N addition. Our results showed that N addition significantly increased plant biomass, and the plant P pool showed a non-linear response to the N addition gradient.Soil available P initially increased and then declined with increasing N addition, whereas the occluded inorganic P decreased markedly. The critical factors for soil available P varied with different N addition rates. At lower N addition levels(0 and 5 g N m^(-2)yr^(-1)),soil acidification facilitated the mobilization of occluded inorganic P to increase soil available P.Conversely,at higher N addition levels(10 and 15 g N m^(-2)yr^(-1)),the elevated soil microbial biomass P intensified the competition with plants for soil P,leading to a decline in soil available P.This study highlights the nonlinear responses of the plant P pool and soil available P concentration to N addition rates. These responses suggest the need for developing ecosystem models to assess different effects of increasing N rates, which would enable more accurate predictions of the plant P supply and soil P cycling under N enrichment.

文摘In rice-wheat rotation systems, changes in soil phosphorus(P) pools and microorganisms in rice-growing seasons have been studied;however, further investigations are required to test whether these indexes exhibit different responses in wheat-growing seasons. Our results clarified the status of soil P pools, C chemistry, and the response of microorganisms under dry-farming conditions in the P input-reduced rice-wheat rotation system.

文摘Annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) was grown in paddy soil in pots under different phosphorus (P) fertilizer treatments to investigate changes of P fractions and microbial community of the soil. Both the principal component analysis and the cluster analysis of the PLFA data suggest that P treatments altered the microbial community composition of the soils, and that P availability might be an important contributor to the changes in the microbial community structure during the ryegrass growth in the paddy soils.

文摘Phosphorus(P) in agricultural soils is an important factor for soil quality and environmental protection. The information from this study can be used to monitor changes in soil fertility and environmental risks so that the use of fertilizers can become more rational.
文摘Minjingu Phosphate Rock (MPR) from Northern Tanzania and the Ikutha Phosphate Rock (IPR) found in Central-Southeast Kenya are well documented as potential sources of phosphorous (P) available in East Africa. The analysis showed that the most abundant form of phosphorus in the phosphate rocks was the Inorganic Phosphorus (IP) contributing 74.20% of total phosphorus (TP) for Minjingu, and 83,28% of total phosphorus for Ikutha phosphate rock.

文摘The amounts and forms of phosphorus (P) in surface sediments of Haihe River, Tianjin, North China, were examined using a sequential chemical extraction procedure. The highly positive relationship between the amounts of P released from the sediments and those in the NH4Cl-P and BD-P fractions, indicated that NH4Cl-P and BD-P were the main fractions that can release P easily.

文摘Microbial activity may influence phosphorus (P) deposit and release at the water sediment interface. These results suggest that microbial activity and microorganism biomass from the surface sediment were higher than those from bottom sediment after two-month intermittent aeration in the overlying water.

文摘A rhizobox experiment with two phosphorus (P) treatments, zero-P (0 mg P kg-1) and plus-P (100 mg P kg-1) as Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O, was conducted to study the chemical and biochemical properties in the rhizosphere of two rice genotypes (cv. AcPME activity was negatively (P < 0.01) correlated to NaHCO3-Po concentration in the rhizosphere of both Zhongbu 51 and Pembe, suggesting that AcPME was associated with the mineralization of soil organic P.

文摘Thirteen sediment core samples(0-10 cm) were taken from the seven lakes in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to determine the contents and distributions of organic phosphorus(P) fractions in the sediments of the shallow lakes in the area. The organic P fractions in the sediments were in the order of moderately labile organic P(MLOP) > moderately resistant organic P(MROP) > highly resistant organic P(HROP) > labile organic P(LOP),with average proportional ratios of 13.2:2.8:1.3:1.0.LOP,MLOP,and MROP were significantly related to the contents of total organic carbon(TOC),water-soluble P(WSP),algal-available P(AAP),NaHCO3-extractable P(Olsen-P),total P(TP),organic P(OP),and inorganic P(IP).However,HROP was significantly related to OP and weakly correlated with TOC,WSP,AAP,Olsen-P,TP or IP.This suggested that organic P,especially LOP and MLOP in sediments, deserved even greater attention than IP in regards to lake eutrophication. In terms of organic P,sediments were more hazardous than soils in lake eutrophication.Although OP concentrations were higher in moderately polluted sediment than those in heavily polluted sediment,LOP and MLOP were higher in the heavily polluted sediment, which indicated that heavily polluted sediment was more hazardous than moderately polluted sediment in lake eutrophication.

文摘A twelve-year field trial was carried out to determine the impact of long-term fertilization on phosphorus (P) distribu- tion in the soil profile, P balance, and the transformation and availability of soil P in a black soil (Phaeozem, FAO). By using the P budget (X), changes in total P (Y1) and available P (Y2) in soils under the current cropping system could be predicted by the equations: Y1 = 0.02 + 1.01X and Y2 = 2.08 + 0.15X.

文摘Phosphorous (P) fraction characteristics in sediment resuspension were investigated under adequately hydrodynamic conditions. Resuspension was favorable to forming Ca-P in SPM.

文摘Considerable research efforts have been devoted to increase phosphorus(P)availability during aerobic composting. However, there is little discussion weather the dissolved organic carbon(DOC)controls the transformation among P-fractions.Thus,we investigated the changes in DOC compositions and P-fractions during biochar-amended composting(wet weight basis,5%and 10%).TP content continuously increased since the'concentration effect'during aerobic composting.NaHCO_(3)-Pi,NaOH-Pi and HCl-Pi were main P-fractions,and biochar can improve P-bioavailability by transforming NaOH-Pi and HCl-Pi into NaHCO_(3)-Pi.Structure equation models(SEMs)indicated that biochar enhanced the P-bioavailability through regulating the decomposition of DOC.Our results at least hint that the activation mechanism on P under the influence of DOC during biochar-amended composting.

文摘Investigating the dynamics and distribution of soil phosphorus(P) fractions can provide a basis for enhancing P utilization by crops. Application of manure fertilizer can increase the labile(Olsen) P concentrations of the various soil layers, and thus should reduce the mineral P fertilizer requirement for crop growth and reduce potential environmental damage.

文摘Understanding the impact of biological activities on the soil phosphorus(P)distribution under long-term fertilizer application can facilitate better soil P fertility management. Therefore, the primary objectives of this study were to investigate the effect of long-term(since 1981)fertilizer application on the soil P fractions and microbial community and to evaluate correlations between the microbial community structure and P distribution. The following treatments were implemented in a long-term field trial:no fertilization(CK),inorganic N and K(NK),inorganic P and K(PK),inorganic N,P and K(NPK)and manure+NPK(MNPK)fertilization. The study showed that the soil pH,soil organic carbon and total and available N and P concentrations were considerably higher in the MNPK treatment than in the CK treatment. The soil microbial biomass C,N and P concentrations were also significantly higher in the MNPK treatment than in the CK treatment.Among fertilization treatments,theβ-1,4-glucosidase,α-1,4-glucosidase,urease,acid phosphatase and phosphodiesterase activities were the highest in the MNPK treatment.Compared to inorganic fertilization, the MNPK treatment increased the labile soil P fractions and decreased the residual soil P concentration.Continuous fertilization significantly affected the soil microbial composition. The total phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)concentrations in the NK,PK,NPK and MNPK treatments were 23.3,43.1,48.7 and 87.7%higher,respectively,than in the CK treatment.A significant correlation was observed between the microbial community and soil P fractions. Moreover, the aggregated boosted tree(ABT)model showed that among the various soil biochemical properties, the total PLFA concentration was the factor that most influenced the active P pool, accounting for 35.4%of the relative influence of all soil biochemical properties examined. These findings reveal that combined manure and inorganic fertilizer application is a better approach than applying inorganic fertilizer alone for sustaining long-term P fertility by mediating soil biological activity.

文摘Plants have diverse strategies to cope with phosphorus (P) deficiency. These results suggested that maize responded to P deficiency by reducing the internal P demand for growth and increasing P acquisition ability by favorable root morphological alteration at low carbon cost.
