Abies georgei var.smithii is an important plant species in Southeast Tibet,China.It has high ecological value in terms of biodiversity protection,as well as soil and water conservation.We analyzed the spatial pattern ...Abies georgei var.smithii is an important plant species in Southeast Tibet,China.It has high ecological value in terms of biodiversity protection,as well as soil and water conservation.We analyzed the spatial pattern and associations of A.georgei var.smithii populations at different growth stages by using Ripley's L function for point pattern analysis.The diameter structure was a nearly reverse 'J' shape.The amount of saplings and medium-sized trees accounts for a large part of the entire population,suggesting a high regeneration rate and an expanding population.In the transition from saplings to medium trees or to large trees,saplings show a significant aggregation distribution at small scales,while medium trees and large trees show a random distribution.There are significant inverse associations between saplings and medium trees and large trees at small scales,while there are no obvious associations between medium trees and large trees.The natural regeneration was affected by interspecific competition,and it was also affected by intraspecific competition.The joint effects of biological characteristics and environmental factors contribute to the spatial distribution pattern and associations of this A.georgei var.sm ithii population.展开更多

The angular distribution of diffracted ...To resolve the conflicting requirements of measurement precision and real-time performance speed,an im-proved algorithm for pattern classification and recognition was developed. The angular distribution of diffracted light varies with particle size. These patterns could be classified into groups with an innovative classification based upon ref-erence dust samples. After such classification patterns could be recognized easily and rapidly by minimizing the vari-ance between the reference pattern and dust sample eigenvectors. Simulation showed that the maximum recognition speed improves 20 fold. This enables the use of a single-chip,real-time inversion algorithm. An increased number of reference patterns reduced the errors in total and respiring coal dust measurements. Experiments in coal mine testify that the accuracy of sensor achieves 95%. Results indicate the improved algorithm enhances the precision and real-time ca-pability of the coal dust sensor effectively.展开更多

The work was carried out at the FMVZ-BUAP Gen...The purpose of the study was to evaluate the sperm viability of semen infected with PRRSV viral particles, observing the effect of the Virus on the motility of boar sperm. The work was carried out at the FMVZ-BUAP Genetics and Reproduction Laboratory. 5 stallions were used. Each sample contained 1 × 10<sup>6</sup> sperm, the PRRS virus strain was ATCC-VR-2332 (0, 10<sup>2</sup>, 10<sup>4</sup> and 10<sup>6</sup> copies of RNA/mL in triplicate), it was observed daily at the CASA;Hamilton Thorne<sup>®</sup>. Cells with MT (P < 0.05) on days 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 of evaluation with 201 ± 7.3, 167 ± 10.1, 165 ± 14.6, 134 ± 8.2 and 120 ± 8.8, respectively. The % MP between control and virus concentrations (P ≥ 0.05). The LCV on day 1 and 7 PI at 10X<sup>2</sup> and 10X<sup>6</sup> (P < 0.05) vs control. In the Correlation Matrix, where it is observed that there is a correlation between VSL and VAP, VSL and VCL, VCL and ALH, VAP with ALH. There is a correlation of VSL and ALH, STR and ALH. In this study there were (P ≤ 0.01) in the VCL, in the concentrations (10<sup>2</sup>) 162.81 ± 10.65 and (10<sup>6</sup>) 177.12 ± 5.77 vs 193.04 ± 4.62 of control. This indicates that altering these parameters would be related to fertility and the PRRS virus affects the LCV. Regarding the VSL, it was observed that the sperm infected with viruses 10<sup>2</sup>, 10<sup>4</sup> and 10<sup>6</sup> of 48.00 ± 3.38, 49.88 ± 1.83 and 50.55 ± 2.24 Vs. 56.66 ± 1.68 of control respectively, the control would have greater possibilities of fertilizing the oocyte. In this study, it was found (P ≤ 0.01) in the VAP with 102 of 77.26 ± 5.16, 10<sup>4</sup> with 83.35 ± 2.41 and 10<sup>6</sup> with 81.29 ± 3.14 vs the control with 90.56 ± 2.07. Regarding the ALH there is (P < 0.05) a 10<sup>4</sup> with 8.70 ± .26 and 10<sup>6</sup> with 9.64 ± 0.23 vs control 8.50 ± 0.27. The presence of different concentrations of PRRSV in boar semen induces changes in different types of sperm motility. Industrial structure is being updated, and technology is playing a more andmore important role in economic development. The energy and resource consumption in many industries and enterprisesare reducing. However, we should realize that there are still many problems in changing the economic growth pattern,such as high input, high consumption, high discharge, inharmony, recycling difficulty, and low efficiency, which havegreatly impaired and restrict Chinese economic development. Therefore, the fundamental change of the economic growthpattern is inevitable. Based on the analysis on the status quo and the exploit of resources, this paper suggests that thetransformation from unsustainable to sustainable growth is the only choice in changing the economic growth pattern. Inaddition, the transformation should not completely rely on the fundamental effects of market mechanism. We should makefull use of the power of governments to speed up the transformation of economic system.展开更多
Circulation anomalies in one region sometimes cause circulation anomalies in other regions,and the correlation between such regional circulation anomalies is referred to as the atmospheric teleconnection.Chinese scien...Circulation anomalies in one region sometimes cause circulation anomalies in other regions,and the correlation between such regional circulation anomalies is referred to as the atmospheric teleconnection.Chinese scientists have conducted extensive research on the atmospheric teleconnection patterns,particularly those related to the Asian-Pacific monsoon.This review first introduces the basic concepts and historical development of atmospheric teleconnections,and then presents an overview of the studies related to the Asian-Pacific monsoon in recent years,especially those on the subseasonal timescale.The paper systematically summarizes 26 teleconnection patterns,including their main features and associated pioneering works.Particular emphasis is placed on the East Asian-Pacific teleconnection pattern that propagates poleward along the low-level southwesterly monsoonal winds.The wave train-type teleconnection patterns propagating along the upper-level westerly jets are also briefly reviewed.展开更多
In the current study,tea saponin,identified as the primary bioactive constituent in seed pomace of Camellia oleifera Abel.,was meticulously extracted and hydrolyzed to yield five known sapogenins:16-O-tiglogycamelliag...In the current study,tea saponin,identified as the primary bioactive constituent in seed pomace of Camellia oleifera Abel.,was meticulously extracted and hydrolyzed to yield five known sapogenins:16-O-tiglogycamelliagnin B(a),camelliagnin A(b),16-O-angeloybarringtogenol C(c),theasapogenol E(d),theasapogenol F(e).Subsequent biotransformation of compound a facilitated the isolation of six novel metabolites(a1−a6).The anti-inflammatory potential of these compounds was assessed using pathogenassociated molecular patterns(PAMPs)and damage-associated molecular patterns molecules(DAMPs)-mediated cellular inflammation models.Notably,compounds b and a2 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on both lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1)-induced inflammation,surpassing the efficacy of the standard anti-inflammatory agent,carbenoxolone.Conversely,compounds d,a3,and a6 selectivity targeted endogenous HMGB1-induced inflammation,showcasing a pronounced specificity.These results underscore the therapeutic promise of C.oleifera seed pomace-derived compounds as potent agents for the management of inflammatory diseases triggered by infections and tissue damage.展开更多
