Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(PMSMs)are widely employed in high-performance drive applications due to their superior efficiency and dynamic capabilities. However, their control remains challenging owing to nonlinear dynamics, parameter variations, and unmeasurable external disturbances, particularly load torquefluctuations. This study proposes an enhanced Interconnection and Damp-ing Assignment Passivity-Based Control(IDA-PBC)scheme,formulated within the port-controlled Hamiltonian(PCH)framework,to address these limitations.A nonlinear disturbance observer is embedded to estimate and compensate,in real time, for lumped mis-matched disturbances arising from parameter uncertainties and external loads.Additionally,aflatness-based control strategy is employed to generate the desired current references within the nonlinear drive system, ensuring accurate tracking of time-varying speed commands. This integrated approach preserves the system’s energy-based structure, enabling systematic stability analysis while enhancing robustness. The proposed control architecture also maintains low complexity with a limited number of tunable parameters, facilitating practical implementation.Simulation and experimental results under various operating conditions demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.Comparative analysis with conventional proportional-integral(PI)control and standard IDA-PBC strategies confirms its capability to handle disturbances and maintain dynamic performance. 展开更多

This paper highlights the utilization of parallel control and adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) for event-triggered robust parallel optimal consensus control(ETRPOC) of uncertain nonlinear continuous-time multiagent systems(MASs).First, the parallel control system, which consists of a virtual control variable and a specific auxiliary variable obtained from the coupled Hamiltonian, allows general systems to be transformed into affine systems. Of interest is the fact that the parallel control technique's introduction provides an unprecedented perspective on eliminating the negative effects of disturbance. Then, an eventtriggered mechanism is adopted to save communication resources while ensuring the system's stability. The coupled HamiltonJacobi(HJ) equation's solution is approximated using a critic neural network(NN), whose weights are updated in response to events. Furthermore, theoretical analysis reveals that the weight estimation error is uniformly ultimately bounded(UUB). Finally, numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed ETRPOC method. 展开更多

Continuous control protocols are extensively utilized in traditional MASs,in which information needs to be transmitted among agents consecutively, therefore resulting in excessive consumption of limited resources. To decrease the control cost, based on ISC,several LFC problems are investigated for second-order MASs without and with time delay, respectively.Firstly,an intermittent sampled controller is designed, and a sufficient and necessary condition is derived, under which state errors between the leader and all the followers approach zero asymptotically.Considering that time delay is inevitable,a new protocol is proposed to deal with the time-delay situation. The error system’s stability is analyzed using the Schur stability theorem, and sufficient and necessary conditions for LFC are obtained, which are closely associated with the coupling gain, the system parameters, and the network structure.Furthermore, for the case where the current position and velocity information are not available,a distributed protocol is designed that depends only on the sampled position information. The sufficient and necessary conditions for LFC are also given. The results show that second-order MASs can achieve the LFC if and only if the system parameters satisfy the inequalities proposed in the paper. Finally, the correctness of the obtained results is verified by numerical simulations. 展开更多

This research paper tackles the complexities of achieving global fuzzy consensus in leader-follower systems in robotic systems, focusing on robust control systems against an advanced signal attack that integrates sensor and actuator disturbances within the dynamics of follower robots. Each follower robot has unknown dynamics and control inputs, which expose it to the risks of both sensor and actuator attacks. The leader robot, described by a secondorder,time-varying nonlinear model, transmits its position, velocity, and acceleration information to follower robots through a wireless connection. To handle the complex setup and communication among robots in the network,we design a robust hybrid distributed adaptive control strategy combining the effect of sensor and actuator attack, which ensures asymptotic consensus, extending beyond conventional bounded consensus results. The proposed framework employs fuzzy logic systems(FLSs)as proactive controllers to estimate unknown nonlinear behaviors, while also effectively managing sensor and actuator attacks, ensuring stable consensus among all agents. To counter the impact of the combined signal attack on follower dynamics,a specialized robust control mechanism is designed, sustaining system stability and performance under adversarial conditions. The efficiency of this control strategy is demonstrated through simulations conducted across two different directed communication topologies, underscoring the protocol’s adaptability, resilience, and effectiveness in maintaining global consensus under complex attack scenarios. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel neuro-adaptive cellular immunotherapy control strategy that leverages the high efficiency and applicability of chimeric antigen receptor-engineered T(CAR-T)cells in treating cancer. The proposed real-time control strategy aims to maximize tumor regression while ensuring the safety of the treatment.A dynamic growth model of cancer cells under the influence of cellular immunotherapy is established for the first time, which aligns with clinical experimental results.Utilizing the backstepping method,a novel consensus reference model is designed to consider the characteristics of cancer cell changes during the treatment process and conform to clinical rules. The model is segmented and continuous, with cancer cells expected to decrease in a step-like manner.Furthermore,a prescribed performance mechanism is constructed to maintain the therapeutic effect of the proposed scheme while ensuring the transient performance of the system.Through the analysis of Lyapunov stability, all signals within the closed-loop system are proven to be semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded(SGUUB).Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, highlighting its potential for clinical application in cancer treatment. 展开更多

This paper presents a distributed control protocol for consensus control of multi-agent systems(MASs) under external disturbances and network imperfections, including communication delay and random packet dropout. To comply with the discrete nature of networked systems, in contrast to most of the existing work for MASs under network imperfections, the agents are modeled by discrete-time dynamics. The communication network is considered to be undirected, its delay is considered to be time-varying but bounded, and its packet dropout is modeled by a Bernoulli distributed white sequence.Sufficient conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs)for asymptotic mean-square consensus stability are derived under network imperfections without considering external disturbances.A desired disturbance attenuation level in the presence of both external disturbances and network imperfections is also provided.A simulation example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach in coping with network imperfection and disturbances. 展开更多

Consensus is attained independently for different agent clusters according to the community structure generated by the group partition of the underlying graph and sufficient conditions for both cluster and general consensus are obtained by using results from algebraic graph theory and the LaSalle Invariance Principle. Consensus tracking control problems for single-integrator dynamics of multi-agent systems with switching topology are investigated. In order to design effective consensus tracking protocols for a more general class of networks, which are aimed at ensuring that the concerned states of agents converge to a constant or time-varying reference state, new consensus tracking protocols with a constant and time-varying reference state are proposed, respectively. Particularly, by contrast with spanning tree, an improved condition of switching interaction topology is presented. And then, convergence analysis of two consensus tracking protocols is provided by Lyapunov stability theory. Moreover, consensus tracking protocol with a time-varying reference state is extended to achieve the fbrmation control. By introducing formation structure set, each agent can gain its individual desired trajectory. Finally, several simulations are worked out to illustrate the effectiveness of theoretical results. The test results show that the states of agents can converge to a desired constant or time-varying reference state. In addition, by selecting appropriate structure set, agents can maintain the expected formation under random switching interaction topologies. 展开更多

This paper studies the consensus control of multiagent systems with binary-valued observations. An algorithm alternating estimation and control is proposed. Each agent estimates the states of its neighbors based on a projected empirical measure method for a holding time.Based on the estimates, each agent designs the consensus control with a constant gain at some skipping time. The states of the system are updated by the designed control, and the estimation and control design will be repeated. For the estimation, the projected empirical measure method is proposed for the binary-valued observations. The algorithm can ensure the uniform boundedness of the estimates and the mean square error of the estimation is proved to be at the order of the reciprocal of the holding time(the same order as that in the case of accurate outputs). For the consensus control,a constant gain is designed instead of the stochastic approximation based gain in the existing literature for binary-valued observations. And,there is no need to make modification for control since the uniform boundedness of the estimates ensures the uniform boundedness of the agents’states. Finally, the systems updated by the designed control are proved to achieve consensus and the consensus speed is faster than that in the existing literature.Simulations are given to demonstrate the theoretical results. 展开更多

This paper investigates the consensus problem for linear multi-agent systems with the heterogeneous disturbances generated by the Brown motion. Its main contribution is that a control scheme is designed to achieve the dynamic consensus for the multi-agent systems in directed topology interfered by stochastic noise. In traditional ways, the coupling weights depending on the communication structure are static.A new distributed controller is designed based on Riccati inequalities, while updating the coupling weights associated with the gain matrix by state errors between adjacent agents.By introducing time-varying coupling weights into this novel control law,the state errors between leader and followers asymptotically converge to the minimum value utilizing the local interaction.Through the Lyapunov directed method and It?formula, the stability of the closed-loop system with the proposed control law is analyzed. Two simulation results conducted by the new and traditional schemes are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantage of the developed control method. 展开更多

In this paper, we design consensus algorithms for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). We mainly focus on the control design in the face of measurement noise and propose a position consensus controller based on the sliding mode control by using the distributed UAV information. Within the framework of Lyapunov theory, it is shown that all signals in the closed-loop multi- UAV systems are stabilized by the proposed algorithm, while consensus errors are uniformly ultimately bounded. Moreover, for each local UAV, we propose a mechanism to define the trustworthiness, based on which the edge weights are tuned to eliminate negative influence from stubborn agents or agents exposed to extremely noisy measurement. Finally, we develop software for a nano UAV platform, based on which we implement our algorithms to address measurement noises in UAV flight tests. The paper develops a novel framework of consensus control with fault-estimation-in-the-loop for multi-agent systems(MASs)in the presence of faults.A dynamic event-triggered protocol(DETP)by adding an auxiliary variable is utilized to improve the utilization of communication resources.First,a novel estimator with a noise bias is put forward to estimate the existed fault and then a consensus controller with fault compensation(FC)is adopted to realize the demand of reliability and safety of addressed MASs.Subsequently,a novel consensus control framework with fault-estimation-in-the-loop is developed to achieve the predetermined consensus performance with the l_(2)-l_(∞)constraint by employing the variance analysis and the Lyapunov stability approaches.Furthermore, the desired estimator and controller gains are obtained in light of the solution to an algebraic matrix equation and a linear matrix inequality in a recursive way, respectively. Finally,a simulation result is employed to verify the usefulness of the proposed design framework. 展开更多

In this paper, the fixed-time event-triggered obstacle avoidance consensus control for a multi-AUV time-varying formation system in a 3D environment is presented by using an improved artificial potential field and leader-follower strategy(IAPF-LF). Firstly, the proposed fixed-time control can achieve the desired multi-AUV formation within a fixed settling time in any initial system state. Secondly, an event-triggered communication strategy is developed to govern the communication among AUVs, and the communication energy consumption can be decremented. The time-varying formation obstacle avoidance control algorithm based on IAPF-LF is designed to avoid static and dynamic obstacles, the desired formation is maintained in the presence of external disturbances, and there is no Zeno behavior under the fixed-time event-triggered consensus control strategy. The stability of the system is proved by the Lyapunov function and inequality scaling. This article deals with the consensus problem of multi-agent systems by developing a fixed-time consensus control approach with a dynamic event-triggered rule. First, a new fixedtime stability condition is obtained where the less conservative settling time is given such that the theoretical settling time can well reflect the real consensus time. Second, a dynamic event-triggered rule is designed to decrease the use of chip and network resources where Zeno behaviors can be avoided after consensus is achieved, especially for finite/fixed-time consensus control approaches. Third, in terms of the developed dynamic event-triggered rule, a fixed-time consensus control approach by introducing a new item is proposed to coordinate the multi-agent system to reach consensus. The corresponding stability of the multi-agent system with the proposed control approach and dynamic eventtriggered rule is analyzed based on Lyapunov theory and the fixed-time stability theorem. At last, the effectiveness of the dynamic event-triggered fixed-time consensus control approach is verified by simulations and experiments for the problem of magnetic map construction based on multiple mobile robots. 展开更多

We investigate the tracking control for a class of nonlinear heterogeneous leader-follower multi-agent systems(MAS)with unknown external disturbances. Firstly, the neighbor-based distributed finite-time observers are proposed for the followers to estimate the position and velocity of the leader. Then, two novel distributed adaptive control laws are designed by means of linear sliding mode(LSM) as well as nonsingular terminal sliding mode(NTSM), respectively. One can prove that the tracking consensus can be achieved asymptotically under LSM and the tracking error can converge to a quite small neighborhood of the origin in finite time by NTSM in spite of uncertainties and disturbances.
