Purposive sampling was adopted, in which focus group discussions, key informant interviews, semi-structured interviews, and snowball sampling were used for data collection. Focus group discussions were conducted with a total of 20 local associations involved in forest and wildlife management, Bantu traditional councils and the Baka community. Key informant interviews were conducted with local and international NGOs, forest exploitation and Sport hunting (Safari) enterprises and local public administrations that had working rapports with village communities around the BBNP. Information was generally sought on the role of stakeholders in forest management, in terms of use, protection, policy enforcement, challenges encountered in their activities and their relationships with other stakeholders. Actor linkage matrix was used to establish the relationships between different stakeholders. The identified stakeholder groups included the local community, State, international and local NGOs, economic operators (forest exploitation and sport hunting enterprises), and also the rules guiding their activities. Conflicts were rife between the community and the other stakeholders with regard to resource accessibility and use, whereas intra-community conflicts mostly resulted from cases of corruption and embezzlement linked to benefits sharing. Cases of collaboration among all the stakeholders were mostly related to anti-poaching patrols and setting of forest concession limits. There is a need to bring all stakeholders on the same platform, such as in a consultation workshop, to get their perceptions on building trust, conflict resolution and genuine collaboration in resources management.展开更多

Methods: A total of 124 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were randomly assigned to either the control group (64 patients) or the intervention group (60 patients). Patients in the control group received routine health management, while those in the intervention group were managed using a patient-participation health model with progressive, stage-based interventions. Outcomes were assessed based on blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors. Adverse reactions during health management were closely monitored in both groups. Results: Patients in the intervention group showed significantly better outcomes in blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors compared to the control group. Conclusion: The patient participation health model demonstrated significant clinical value, effectively enhancing self-management abilities, improving glycemic control, and increasing disease awareness. This model is recommended for widespread adoption in the health management of type 2 diabetes to achieve better therapeutic outcomes and improve patient quality of life.展开更多

文摘Background There is insufficient evidence to provide recommendations for leisure-time physical activity among workers across various occupational physical activity levels. This study aimed to assess the association of leisure-time physical activity with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality across occupational physical activity levels. Methods This study utilized individual participant data from 21 cohort studies, comprising both published and unpublished data.Eligibility criteria included individual-level data on leisure-time and occupational physical activity(categorized as sedentary, low, moderate, and high)along with data on all-cause and/or cardiovascular mortality.A 2-stage individual participant data meta-analysis was conducted, with separate analysis of each study using Cox proportional hazards models(Stage 1).These results were combined using random-effects models(Stage 2).Results Higher leisure-time physical activity levels were associated with lower all-cause and cardiovascular mortality risk across most occupational physical activity levels, for both males and females.Among males with sedentary work, high compared to sedentary leisure-time physical activity was associated with lower all-cause(hazard ratios(HR)=0.77,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.70-0.85)and cardiovascular mortality(HR=0.76,95%CI:0.66-0.87)risk.Among males with high levels of occupational physical activity, high compared to sedentary leisure-time physical activity was associated with lower all-cause(HR=0.84,95%CI:0.74-0.97)and cardiovascular mortality(HR=0.79,95%CI:0.60-1.04)risk,while HRs for low and moderate levels of leisure-time physical activity ranged between 0.87 and 0.97 and were not statistically significant.Among females, most effects were similar but more imprecise, especially in the higher occupational physical activity levels. Conclusion Higher levels of leisure-time physical activity were generally associated with lower mortality risks. However, results for workers with moderate and high occupational physical activity levels, especially women, were more imprecise. Our findings suggests that workers may benefit from engaging in high levels of leisure-time physical activity, irrespective of their level of occupational physical activity.
文摘This study examines the impact of waste management policies on public health in Bantar Gebang landfill which faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, low community participation, and ineffective policy implementation.More than half of the waste generated is not transported to landfills, resulting in significant health and environmental risks, including respiratory infections, waterborne diseases, and vector-borne illnesses. The research adopts a qualitative phenomenological approach to understand the experiences of stakeholders, waste managers, and local communities. It also integrates the Waste Management Hierarchy,Community Participation Theory, and Policy Implementation Model to identify key gaps and propose potential solutions. The study reviews legal frameworks, including Indonesia’s Presidential Regulation No.97 of 2017,and specific regulations relevant to the site, evaluating their effectiveness in addressing waste and health issues. The findings highlight the need for stronger public education campaigns, increased investment in infrastructure, and the implementation of advanced technologies such as Waste-to-Energy plants. The study stresses that comprehensive policies on waste reduction, improved segregation, and better recycling practices are critical for achieving sustainable waste management.Additionally, greater inter-agency collaboration and active community engagement are essential for ensuring successful implementation.Drawing on experiences from Tokyo,Stockholm, and Berlin, the study suggests strategies to reduce landfill dependence and improve public health.
文摘This study examines the current state of merchants’participation in e-commerce marketing within the context of the digital economy, focusing on merchants in Lagos,Nigeria. It explores the impact of behavioral attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and traditional transaction costs on their willingness to engage in e-commerce marketing.Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)and employing a questionnaire survey, the study utilizes SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 for data analysis. The findings confirm the significant positive effects of behavioral attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on merchants’willingness,as well as the significant negative effect of traditional transaction costs. The results indicate that the advancement of digital economy policies has lowered participation barriers for merchants, with factors such as behavioral attitudes, social support, and digital skills playing crucial roles in decision-making.This paper recommends enhancing the usability of e-commerce platforms, improving infrastructure, and optimizing policy support. These suggestions provide theoretical insights and practical guidance for promoting Nigeria’s digital economy and advancing research on merchants’e-commerce behavior.

文摘Objective: To analyze the clinical effects of the patient participation health model in the health management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This model is recommended for widespread adoption in the health management of type 2 diabetes to achieve better therapeutic outcomes and improve patient quality of life.
