Because of the randomness of wind power and photovoltaic(PV)output of new energy bases,the problem of peak regulation capability and voltage stability of ultra-high voltage direct current(UHVDC)transmission lines,we proposed an optimum allocation method of installed capacity of the solar-thermal power station based on chance constrained programming in this work.Firstly,we established the uncertainty model of wind power and PV based on the chance constrained planning theory.Then we used the K-medoids clusteringmethod to cluster the scenarios considering the actual operation scenarios throughout the year.Secondly,we established the optimal configuration model based on the objective function of the strongest transient voltage stability and the lowest overall cost of operation.Finally,by quantitative analysis of actual wind power and photovoltaic new energy base,this work verified the feasibility of the proposed method.As a result of the simulations,we found that using the optimal configuration method of solar-thermal power stations could ensure an accurate allocation of installed capacity.When the installed capacity of the solar-thermal power station is 1×106 kW,the transient voltage recovery index(TVRI)is 0.359,which has a strong voltage support capacity for the system.Based on the results of this work,the optimal configuration of the installed capacity of the solar-thermal power plant can improve peak shaving performance,transient voltage support capability,and new energy consumption while satisfying the Direct Current(DC)outgoing transmission premise. 展开更多

As the large-scale development of wind farms(WFs)progresses,the connection ofWFs to the regional power grid is evolving from the conventional receiving power grid to the sending power grid with a high proportion of wind power(WP).Due to the randomness of WP output,higher requirements are put forward for the voltage stability of each node of the regional power grid,and various reactive power compensation devices(RPCDs)need to be rationally configured to meet the stable operation requirements of the system.This paper proposes an optimal configuration method for multi-type RPCDs in regional power grids with a high proportion of WP.The RPCDs are located according to the proposed static voltage stability index(VSI)and dynamicVSI based on dynamic voltage drop area,and the optimal configuration model of RPCDs is constructed with the lowest construction cost as the objective function to determine the installed capacity of various RPCDs.Finally,the corresponding regional power grid model for intensive access to WFs is constructed on the simulation platform to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

The radar radiation source signals hold extremely high reconnaissance value.Accurately positioning these signals constitutes one of the key technologies in safeguarding the security of the electromagnetic space.The positioning error in multi-station scenarios is influenced not only by the accuracy of positioning parameter estimation but also by the geometric configuration of the positioning platform.This paper focuses on the direction of arrival(DOA),frequency difference of arrival(FDOA),and time difference of arrival(TDOA)methods,analyzing the optimal configuration,optimal detection area,and optimal position dilution of precision in both elevation-known and elevation-unknown scenarios.Specifically,the paper constructs a signal receiving model,establishes the corresponding positioning equations,and performs dimensional normalization on these equations to derive measurement values in meters.Through differential processing,the position dilution of precision is obtained,which is then used as the optimization function to determine the optimal configuration,optimal detection area,and optimal position dilution of precision.Simulation results validate the accuracy of the proposed formulas. 展开更多

Analogue-Dynamical Prediction of Monsoon Precipitation in Northeast China Based on Dynamic and Optimal Configuration of Multiple Predictors 被引量:7

Based on the National Climate Center (NCC) of China operational seasonal prediction model results for the period 1983-2009 and the US National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center merged analysis of precipitation in the same period, together with the 74 circulation indices of NCC Climate System Diagnostic Division and 40 climate indices of NOAA of US during 1951 2009, an analogue-dynamical technique for objective and quantitative prediction of monsoon precipitation in Northeast China is proposed and implemented. Useful information is extracted from the historical data to estimate the model forecast errors. Dominant predictors and the predictors that exhibit evolving analogues are identified through cross validating the anomaly correlation coefficients (ACC) among single predictors, meanwhile with reference of the results from the dynamic analogue bias correction using four analogue samples. Next, an optimal configuration of multiple predictors is set up and compared with historical optimal multi-predictor configurations and then dynamically adjusted. Finally, the model errors are evaluated and utilized to correct the NCC operational seasonal prediction model results, and the forecast of monsoon precipitation is obtained at last. The independent sample validation shows that this technique has effectively improved the monsoon precipitation prediction skill during 2005 -2009. This study demonstrates that the analogue-dynamical approach is feasible in operational prediction of monsoon precipitation. 展开更多

An integrated energy system(IES)contributes to improving energy efficiency and promoting sustainable energy development.For different dynamic characteristics of the system,such as demand/response schemes and complex coupling characteristics among energy sources,siting and sizing of multitype energy storage(MES)are very important for the economic operation of the IES.Considering the effect of the diversity of the IES on system reserve based on electricity,gas and heat systems in different scenarios,a two-stage MES optimal configuration model,considering the system reserve value,is proposed.In the first stage,to determine the location and charging/discharging strategies,a location choice model that minimizes the operating cost,considering the system reserve value,is proposed.In the second stage,a capacity choice model,to minimize the investment and maintenance cost of the MES,is proposed.Finally,an example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the MES configuration method in this paper in handling operational diversity and ensuring system reserve.Compared with the configuration method that disregards the system reserve value,the results show that the MES configuration method proposed in this paper can reduce the annual investment cost and operating cost and improve the system reserve value. 展开更多

An optimal configuration method of a multi-energy microgrid system based on the deep joint generation of sourceload-temperature scenarios is proposed to improve the multienergy complementation and the reliability of energy supply in extreme scenarios.First,based on the historical meteorological data,the typical meteorological clusters and extreme temperature types are obtained.Then,to reflect the uncertainty of energy consumption and renewable energy output in different weather types,a deep joint generation model using a radiation-electric load-temperature scenario based on a denoising variational autoencoder is established for each weather module.At the same time,to cover the potential high energy consumption scenarios with extreme temperatures,the extreme scenarios with fewer data samples are expanded.Then,the scenarios are reduced by clustering analysis.The normal days of different typical scenarios and extreme temperature scenarios are determined,and the cooling and heating loads are determined by temperature.Finally,the optimal configuration of a multi-energy microgrid system is carried out.Experiments show that the optimal configuration based on the extreme scenarios and typical scenarios can improve the power supply reliability of the system.The proposed method can accurately capture the complementary potential of energy sources.And the economy of the system configuration is improved by 14.56%. 展开更多

One aspect that improves precision is the limitation, if not elimination, of manipulator compliance. This paper presents a manipulator compliance optimization approach for determining an optimal manipulator configuration for a given position in the robot's task space. A numerical solution for minimal compliance, a nonlinear constrained optimization problem, is presented for an arbitrary position and illustrated by an example, using a model developed on ADAMS software and using MATLAB optimization tools. Also, this paper investigates the optimal value function for robot tasks in which the tool-point is subjected to applied force as it generates an important trajectory such as in grinding processes. This article investigates the optimal observation configuration of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) based on angle and range measurements, and generalizes predecessors' researches in two dimensions into three dimensions. The relative geometry of the UAVs-target will significantly affect the state estimation performance of the target, the cost function based on the Fisher information matrix(FIM) is used to derive the FIM determinant of UAVs' observation in three-dimensional space, and the optimal observation geometric configuration that maximizes the determinant of the FIM is obtained. It is shown that the optimal observation configuration of the UAVs-target is usually not unique, and the optimal observation configuration is proved for two UAVs and three UAVs in three-dimension. The long-range over-the-horizon target tracking is simulated and analyzed based on the analysis of optimal observation configuration for two UAVs. The simulation results show that the theoretical analysis and control algorithm can effectively improve the positioning accuracy of the target. It can provide a helpful reference for the design of over-the-horizon target localization based on UAVs. 展开更多

Motivated by optimal combination of paired wings configuration and troke-plane inclination in biological flapping flights that can achieve high aerodynamic performance,we propose a biomimetic rotor-configuration design to explore optimal aerodynamic performance in multirotor drones.While aerodynamic interactions among propellers in multirotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)play a crucial role in lift force production and Figure of Merit(FM)efficiency,the rotor-configuration effect remains poorly understood.Here we address a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)-based study on optimal aerodynamic performance of the rotor-configuration in hovering quadrotor drones with a specific focus on the aerodynamic effects of tip distance,height difference and tilt angle of propellers.Our results indicate that the tip distance-induced interactions can most alter lift force production and hence lead to remarked improvement in FM,and the height difference also plays a key role in improving aerodynamic performance,while the tilt angle effect is less important.Furthermore,we carried out an extensive analysis to explore the optimal aerodynamic performance of the rotor-configuration over a broad parameter space,by combining the CFD-based simulations and a novel surrogate model.We find that a rotor-configuration with a large tip distance and some height difference with zero tilt angle is capable of optimizing both lift force production and FM,which could offer a novel optimal design as well as maneuver strategy for multirotor UAVs. 展开更多

To integrate different renewable energy resources effectively in a microgrid, a configuration optimization model of a multi-energy distributed generation(DG) system and its auxiliary equipment is proposed. The model mainly consists of two parts, the determination of initial configuration schemes according to user preference and the selection of the optimal scheme. The comprehensive evaluation index(CEI), which is acquired through the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) weight calculation method, is adopted as the evaluation criterion to rank the initial schemes. The optimal scheme is obtained according to the ranking results. The proposed model takes the diversity of different equipment parameters and investment cost into consideration and can give relatively suitable and economical suggestions for system configuration.Additionally, unlike Homer Pro, the proposed model considers the complementation of different renewable energy resources, and thus the rationality of the multi-energy DG system is improved compared with the single evaluation criterion method which only considers the total cost. 展开更多

HOMER(Hybrid OptimizationModel for Electric Renewables)is an effective simulation and optimization platform for hybrid renewable energy.By inputting specific users’energy resource data(such as wind speed,solar radiation,etc.)and load data,and by determining the types and models of components selected by the user,HOMER calculates and simulates the operational status of each component at every time step.Ultimately,it computes the energy balance of the system within specified constraints to simulate the overall system operation.This approach enables the reasonable determination of system component capacities,the evaluation of system feasibility,and the calculation of costs over the entire lifecycle of the system.In response to the challenges of matching capacities and high construction costs in wind-solar-storage multi-energy complementary power generation systems,This paper addresses issues such as difficulty in matching component capacities,high construction costs,and low system reliability in multi-energy complementary power generation systems.Using the HOMER hybrid renewable energy simulation and optimization platform,we constructed various hybrid energy systems for a specific region and considered multiple power supply modes.Thesoftware was used to solve for the optimal capacities and costs of each system.Four scenarios were analyzed:grid-only,grid-connected(purchase-sale)wind-solar-storage system,grid-connected(sale)wind-solar-storage system,and off-grid wind-solar-storage system.The results were compared and analyzed.HOMER can assess systemfeasibility and calculate the cost over its entire lifecycle.By inputting 8760 h of wind and solar resource data and load data for a specific region,and considering multiple system structures and power supply modes,the configuration results were evaluated using indicators such as cost and renewable energy utilization ratio.The simulation results indicate that the Net Present Cost(NPC)values across four different scenarios range from 1,877,292 CNY to 3,222,724 CNY,demonstrating significant cost differences.Among these scenarios,the grid-connected(purchase-sell)wind-solarstorage system exhibited the lowest NPC and the highest renewable energy utilization rate.Compared to a system relying solely on the grid,the NPC was reduced by 305,695 CNY,and the renewable energy utilization rate reached 74.7%. 展开更多

To date,using biphilic surfaces is one of the most promising methods for enhancing heat transfer and critical heat flux during boiling simultaneously.However,most of studies on the effect of biphilic surfaces on boiling perfor-mance have been carried out under atmospheric pressure conditions.In this context,the issues of heat transfer enhancement and stabilization of the boiling process at subatmospheric pressures are particularly critical due to the interesting characteristics of boiling heat transfer and bubble dynamics at subatmospheric pressures and their practical significance including aerospace applications.This paper investigates the effect of the pitch size between hydrophobic spots on a biphilic surface on heat transfer and bubble dynamics during boiling at subatmospheric pressures(from 11.2 kPa up to atmospheric pressure).The data analysis using infrared thermography demonstrated that the maximum heat transfer rate was achieved on a surface with a uniform pitch size(6 mm)at all pressures.In this case,the heat transfer enhancement,compared a bare surface,reached 3.4 times.An analysis of the departure diameters of bubbles based on high-speed visualization indicated that the optimal configuration of the biphilic surface corresponds to the pitch size equal to the bubble departure diameter.Using high-speed visualization also demonstrated that an early transition to film boiling was evident for configurations with a very high density of hydrophobic spots(pitch size of 2 mm). 展开更多

Industrial robots are increasingly being used in machining tasks because of their high flexibility and intelligence.However,the low structural stiffness of a robot significantly affects its positional accuracy and the machining quality of its operation equipment.Studying robot stiffness characteristics and optimization methods is an effective method of improving the stiffness performance of a robot.Accordingly,aiming at the poor accuracy of stiffness modeling caused by approximating the stiffness of each joint as a constant,a variable stiffness identification method is proposed based on space gridding.Subsequently,a task-oriented axial stiffness evaluation index is proposed to quantitatively assess the stiffness performance in the machining direction.In addition,by analyzing the redundant kinematic characteristics of the robot machining system,a configuration optimization method is further developed to maximize the index.For numerous points or trajectory-processing tasks,a configuration smoothing strategy is proposed to rapidly acquire optimized configurations.Finally,experiments on a KR500 robot were conducted to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed stiffness identification and configuration optimization methods. 展开更多

This paper investigates the gap between qualitative and quantitative constraints in spare parts stock control, with specific reference to warship spare parts support projects. A critical literature review of theoretical contributions about qualitative or quantitative factors for warship spare parts warehouse management is firstly provided, which allows to analyze the reasons for this qualitative-quantitative gap by addressing the limitations of spare parts models developed in the literature. Therefore a model including cloud model, marginal analysis and Lagrange multiplier method (CML) for study is proposed in this paper to bridge the gap. The model is used to solve the mix-constraints (both qualitative and quantitative constraints are considered) problem in a logic decision diagram particularly at the different decision nodes of the diagram. Finally, verifying test results show that the algorithm is feasible and its optimal support project meets the needs of engineering practices. © 2017, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany. 展开更多
