With the development of power systems, power grid within a control area becomes much more complicated due to increasing number of nodes and renewable energy interconnections. The role of power system control center is more critical in maintaining system reliable and security operations. Latest developed information and communication technologies provide a platform to enhance the functions and performance of power system control center. Smart power dispatch concept will be the trend of future control center development. In this paper, we start from the human factors of control center design and propose operation indices to reduce the information presented to the system operator. The operation indices will be the important criteria in situation awareness of a power grid. Past, present, future and capability states of a power grid are also proposed to provide better visions to the operator of system conditions. The basic ideas of operation indices and operation states are discussed in the paper. In the end, the design factors for a power dispatch cockpit are discussed. 展开更多

With the severe challenges brought by global climate change,exploring and developing clean and renewable energy systems to upgrade the energy structure has become an inevitable trend in related research.The comprehensive park systems integrated with photovoltaic,energy storage,direct current,and flexible loads(PEDF)is able to play an important role in promoting energy transformation and achieving sustainable development.In order to fully understand the advantages of PEDF parks in energy conservation and carbon reduction,this paper summarizes existing studies and prospects future research directions on the low-carbon operation of the PEDF park.This paper first introduces carbon emission monitoring and evaluation methods,and then analyzes bi-level optimal dispatch strategies for flexible loads.Meanwhile,the paper provides a prospective analysis of the innovations that can be brought by advanced technologies to the PEDF park.Finally,this paper puts forward the challenges faced by current research and provides prospects for future research directions.This paper emphasizes that related research should focus on collaborating key technologies of PEDF systems and integrating advanced innovations to address challenges and fully leverage the advantages of PEDF technology in energy saving and carbon reduction.This paper aims to provide systematic theoretical guidance and supplements for the research and practice of the PEDF technology. 展开更多

受高比例电力电子设备接入影响,新型电力系统的无功电压稳定问题越发突出,然而绝大多数考虑无功电压的调度模型无法避免近似误差,其最优解难以满足交流潮流方程。为了得到同时满足交流潮流方程与可行性约束的交流可行解,该文提出一种通... 受高比例电力电子设备接入影响,新型电力系统的无功电压稳定问题越发突出,然而绝大多数考虑无功电压的调度模型无法避免近似误差,其最优解难以满足交流潮流方程。为了得到同时满足交流潮流方程与可行性约束的交流可行解,该文提出一种通用的交流可行解恢复算法,能够基于已知的调度解,通过对其机组有功出力、无功出力等变量的微小调整得到一个距离调度解最近的交流可行解。对于不含无功电压的直流调度解,该算法通过建立交流潮流恢复模型,得到最佳匹配的交流状态变量后进行潮流计算,使其重新满足交流潮流方程;对于不满足可行性约束的交流潮流,该算法通过建立可行性约束恢复模型,使其重新满足可行性约束。最后,基于IEEE-30和IEEE-118系统进行全年8760 h的运行模拟算例分析,证明所提算法的有效性。 展开更多

高比例新能源电力系统面临严峻的保供促消难题,依托区域市场实现备用资源省间互济是应对该难题的有效手段。灵活性资源备用预留容量的实际交付受输电线路传输能力限制,但现有方法未能准确考虑其对线路潮流的影响,也未考虑输电线路弹性... 高比例新能源电力系统面临严峻的保供促消难题,依托区域市场实现备用资源省间互济是应对该难题的有效手段。灵活性资源备用预留容量的实际交付受输电线路传输能力限制,但现有方法未能准确考虑其对线路潮流的影响,也未考虑输电线路弹性传输容量,难以有效应对极端场景下电网的备用预留与交付需求。对此,文章提出了计及输电线路弹性传输容量的省内-省间可交付备用优化决策方法。首先,构建了计及系统交付场景的区域电网备用统一优化决策模型,建立了负荷、新能源功率变化场景下机组备用交付的相关约束,以保障机组预留备用的实际可交付性。其次,构建了计及弹性传输容量的线路潮流约束,实现了线路传输能力的充分利用。然后,针对弹性传输容量建模引入的大规模整数变量,提出了伴随模型引导的无损加速计算方法。最后,以电网实际数据为依据,构造了3省互联的区域电网算例系统,并通过仿真分析验证了所提省内-省间备用优化决策方法的有效性。 展开更多

A modified cuckoo search(CS) algorithm is proposed to solve economic dispatch(ED) problems that have nonconvex, non-continuous or non-linear solution spaces considering valve-point effects, prohibited operating zones, transmission losses and ramp rate limits. Comparing with the traditional cuckoo search algorithm, we propose a self-adaptive step size and some neighbor-study strategies to enhance search performance.Moreover, an improved lambda iteration strategy is used to generate new solutions. To show the superiority of the proposed algorithm over several classic algorithms, four systems with different benchmarks are tested. The results show its efficiency to solve economic dispatch problems, especially for large-scale systems. 展开更多

This paper presents an efficient and reliable genetic algorithm (GA) based particle swarm optimization (PSO) tech- nique (hybrid GAPSO) for solving the economic dispatch (ED) problem in power systems. The non-linear characteristics of the generators, such as prohibited operating zones, ramp rate limits and non-smooth cost functions of the practical generator operation are considered. The proposed hybrid algorithm is demonstrated for three different systems and the performance is compared with the GA and PSO in terms of solution quality and computation efficiency. Comparison of results proved that the proposed algo- rithm can obtain higher quality solutions efficiently in ED problems. A comprehensive software package is developed using MATLAB. 展开更多

Operation-related resources are lots of manpower and material with the characteristics of high cost and high income in hospitals,and scheduling optimization is a very important research issue in medical service.In this paper,to cope with the actualities of operation resources scheduling,such as poor planning,lack of standardized scheduling rules,chaotic use of the operating rooms,and many human interference factors,we propose a systematic approach to optimize scheduling problems based on multiple characteristics of operating resources.We frst design a framework that includes the composite dispatching rules(CDR),optimization ideology,and feedback mechanism,in which the CDR integrates fexible operating time,hold-up time of medical facilities,available time of medical staf,and multiple constraints.The optimization ideology is carried out through a learning model based on the weighted random forest(WRF)algorithm.The feedback mechanism enables the approach to realize closed-loop optimizations adaptively.Finally,the superiority of the systematic scheduling approach(SSA)is analyzed through numerical experiments on a simulation platform.Results of the simulation experiments show that the proposed scheduling method can improve performances signifcantly,especially in the waiting time of patients. 展开更多

The objective of the economic dispatch problems of electrical power generation is to schedule the committed generating units output so as to meet the required load demand while satisfying the system equality and inequality constraints. This is a maiden approach developed to obtain the optimal dispatches of generating units for all possible load demands of power system in a single execution. The feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated by solving economic load dispatch problem, combined economic and emission dispatch problem, multiarea economic dispatch problem and economic dispatch problem with multiple fuel options. The proposed methodology is tested with different scale of power systems. The generating unit operational constraints are also considered. The simulation results obtained by proposed methodology for various economic dispatch problems are compared with previous literatures in terms of solution quality. Numerical simulation results indicate an improvement in total cost saving and hence the superiority of the proposed method is also revealed for economic dispatch problems. 展开更多
