Temperature error compensation method for fiber optic gyroscope based on a composite model of k-means,support vector regression and particle swarm optimization 被引量:1

As the core component of inertial navigation systems, fiber optic gyroscope (FOG), with technical advantages such as low power consumption, long lifespan, fast startup speed, and flexible structural design, are widely used in aerospace, unmanned driving, and other fields. However, due to the temper-ature sensitivity of optical devices, the influence of environmen-tal temperature causes errors in FOG, thereby greatly limiting their output accuracy. This work researches on machine-learn-ing based temperature error compensation techniques for FOG. Specifically, it focuses on compensating for the bias errors gen-erated in the fiber ring due to the Shupe effect. This work pro-poses a composite model based on k-means clustering, sup-port vector regression, and particle swarm optimization algo-rithms. And it significantly reduced redundancy within the sam-ples by adopting the interval sequence sample. Moreover, met-rics such as root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), bias stability, and Allan variance, are selected to evaluate the model’s performance and compensation effective-ness. This work effectively enhances the consistency between data and models across different temperature ranges and tem-perature gradients, improving the bias stability of the FOG from 0.022 °/h to 0.006 °/h. Compared to the existing methods utiliz-ing a single machine learning model, the proposed method increases the bias stability of the compensated FOG from 57.11% to 71.98%, and enhances the suppression of rate ramp noise coefficient from 2.29% to 14.83%. This work improves the accuracy of FOG after compensation, providing theoretical guid-ance and technical references for sensors error compensation work in other fields. 展开更多

Vibration-induced bias deviation,which is generated by intensity fluctuations and additional phase differences,is one of the vital errors for fiber optic gyroscopes(FOGs)operating in vibration environment and has severely restricted the applications of high-precision FOGs.The conventional methods for suppressing vibration-induced errors mostly concentrate on reinforcing the mechanical structure and optical path as well as the compensation under some specific operation parameters,which have very limited effects for high-precision FOGs maintaining performances under vibration.In this work,a technique of suppressing the vibration-induced bias deviation through removing the part related to the varying gain from the rotation-rate output is put forward.Particularly,the loop gain is extracted out by adding a gain-monitoring wave.By demodulating the loop gain and the rotation rate simultaneously under distinct frequencies and investigating their quantitative relationship,the vibrationinduced bias error is compensated without limiting the operating parameters or environments,like the applied modulation depth.The experimental results show that the proposed method has achieved the reduction of bias error from about 0.149°/h to0.014°/h during the random vibration with frequencies from20 Hz to 2000 Hz.This technique provides a feasible route for enhancing the performances of high-precision FOGs heading towards high environmental adaptability. 展开更多

In order to analyze the effect of wavelength-dependent radiation-induced attenuation (RIA) on the mean trans- mission wavelength in optical fiber and the scale factor of interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes (IFOGs), three types of polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers are tested by using a 60Co γ-radiation source. The observed different mean wave- length shift (MWS) behaviors for different fibers are interpreted by color-center theory involving dose rate-dependent absorption bands in ultraviolet and visible ranges and total dose-dependent near-infrared absorption bands. To evaluate the mean wavelength variation in a fiber coil and the induced scale factor change for space-borne IFOGs under low radiation doses in a space environment, the influence of dose rate on the mean wavelength is investigated by testing four germanium (Ge) doped fibers and two germanium-phosphorus (Ge-P) codoped fibers irradiated at different dose rates. Experimental results indicate that the Ge-doped fibers show the least mean wavelength shift during irradiation and their mean wavelength of optical signal transmission in fibers will shift to a shorter wavelength in a low-dose-rate radiation environment. Finally, the change in the scale factor of IFOG resulting from the mean wavelength shift is estimated and tested, and it is found that the significant radiation-induced scale factor variation must be considered during the design of space-borne IFOGs. 展开更多

In order to eliminate this component, a two-step filtering methodology is proposed. Firstly, fractional differencing (FD) method is introduced to trans-form fractal noise into fractional white noise based on the estima-tion of Hurst exponent for long-term dependent fractal process, which together with the existing white noise make up of a gener-alized white noise. Further, an improved denoising algorithm of wavelet maxima is developed to suppress the generalized white noise. Experimental results show that the basic noise terms of FOG greatly decrease, and especially the slow drift is restrained effectively. The proposed methodology provides a promising ap-proach for filtering long-term dependent fractal noise. 展开更多

The effects of color centers' absorption on fibers and interferometric fiber optical gyroscopes(IFOGs) are studied in the paper. The irradiation induced attenuation(RIA) spectra of three types of polarization-maintaining fibers(PMFs), i.e.,P-doped, Ge-doped, and pure silica, irradiated at 100 Gy and 1000 Gy are measured in a wavelength range from 1100 nm to1600 nm and decomposed according to the Gaussian model. The relationship of the color centers absorption intensity with radiation dose is investigated based on a power model. Furthermore, the effects of all color centers' absorption on RIA and mean wavelength shifts(MWS) at 1300 nm and 1550 nm are discussed respectively. Finally, the random walk coefficient(RWC) degradation induced from RIA and the scale factor error induced by MWS of the IFOG are simulated and tested at a wavelength of 1300 nm. This research will contribute to the applications of the fibers in radiation environments. 展开更多

在高精度光纤陀螺技术发展中,相对强度噪声(RIN)是限制陀螺精度进一步提升的核心因素。因此提出了一种基于平衡探测器的RIN抑制方案,通过平衡探测器第二输入端引入参考光,使信号光电流减去参考光电流来抑制RIN。测试结果表明,应用所提RI... 在高精度光纤陀螺技术发展中,相对强度噪声(RIN)是限制陀螺精度进一步提升的核心因素。因此提出了一种基于平衡探测器的RIN抑制方案,通过平衡探测器第二输入端引入参考光,使信号光电流减去参考光电流来抑制RIN。测试结果表明,应用所提RIN抑制方案后,光纤环长为3 km的陀螺样机的零偏稳定性在调制深度为3π/4、7π/8和15π/16下分别提升了87.8%、41.9%和15.7%。验证了所提RIN抑制方案适用于不同调制深度,且调制深度越低,输出精度改善越明显。当调制深度为7π/8、输入平衡探测器的参考光光强为信号光光强的0.67倍时,取得了最优效果,零偏稳定性为0.000835(°)/h(100 s,1σ)(数据平滑100 s后的标准差),并在该条件下通过了变温(-40℃~60℃)静态测试。 展开更多

针对煤矿井下高温及多干扰环境导致的光纤陀螺测量精度下降问题,提出一种融合自回归滑动平均(ARMA)模型时序预测与抗差自适应卡尔曼滤波(RAKF)的复合信号优化策略。首先,通过ARMA模型对光纤陀螺输出信号动态建模,预测温度梯度变化会引... 针对煤矿井下高温及多干扰环境导致的光纤陀螺测量精度下降问题,提出一种融合自回归滑动平均(ARMA)模型时序预测与抗差自适应卡尔曼滤波(RAKF)的复合信号优化策略。首先,通过ARMA模型对光纤陀螺输出信号动态建模,预测温度梯度变化会引起的非线性误差。然后,设计抗差自适应算法动态调节噪声权值,实时区分有效信号与异常冲击干扰,降低离群值对状态估计的污染。最后,利用卡尔曼滤波(KF)融合优化信号,修正温度与振动耦合作用下的非线性误差。试验基于三轴温箱转台模拟井下40℃高温及冲击振动工况。试验结果表明,光纤陀螺输出信号非线性误差均方根从0.015 rad/s降至0.008 rad/s,有效信号保留率提升28%,且温度变化场景仍能有效跟踪非线性误差趋势。该策略显著提高了光纤陀螺的测量精度和鲁棒性,为井下高精度惯性导航提供了可靠的算法支撑。 展开更多

Optical fiber coil winding model is used to guide proper and high precision coil winding for fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) application. Based on the large-deformation theory of elasticity, stress analysis of optical fiber free end has been made and balance equation of infinitesimal fiber is deduced, then deformation equation is derived by substituting terminal conditions. On condition that only axial tensile force exists, approximate curve equation has been built in small angle deformation scope. The comparison of tangent point longitudinal coordinate result between theory and approximation gives constant of integration, and expression with tangent point as origin of coordinate is readjusted. Analyzing the winding parameters of an example, it is clear that the horizontal distance from the highest point of wheel to fiber tangent point has millimeter order of magnitude and significant difference with fiber tension variation, and maintains invariant when wheel radius changes. The height of tension and accurate position of tangent point are defined for proper fiber guide. For application to fiber optic gyroscope, spiral-disc winding method and nonideal deformation of straddle section are analyzed, and then spiral-disc quadrupole pattern winding method has been introduced and realized by winding system. We comprehensively characterized the birefringence distribution of polarization-maintaining fibers(PMFs)in the fiberoptic gyroscopes using an enhanced Brillouin dynamic grating(BDG).This method enabled the quantitative analysis of the birefringence variations along the fiber,including those induced by temperature,axial strain,and transverse strain.Experimental results revealed that the birefringence coefficients of axial strain and temperature were 0.857×10^(-8)/μεand-4.7×10^(-7)/℃for the PMF coils,respectively.When PMFs are cross-wound in a layered configuration within the fiber-optic gyroscopes,transverse-strain will significantly impact the birefringence distribution.These findings offer valuable technical guidance for the design and manufacturing of high-precision fiber-optic gyroscopes. 展开更多

A control equation, with which the modulation depth of PZT modulator is stable when setting the modulation depth as 4.35 and a calculation equation, with which the Sagnac phase can be worked out, are derived. A modulation depth control and an automatic correlation sampling and a gain control technology were induced. A photo-type FOG was made and tested. The good performance was achieved. 展开更多

The suppression of polarization cross talk in lead zirconate titanate phase modulators as a key error source has been challenging for open-loop fiber optic gyroscopes(FOGs).We developed a polarization-diversity optical frequency domain reflectometry(OFDR)to measure the distributed modulation polarization error in the modulator.The error contributes 8×10^(−6) rad to FOG’s bias instability.Using a UV-fabricated in-fiberλ/4 wave plate and polarization-mode converter with fiber taper technology,the modulation error has been suppressed by 15 dB in assembled FOGs.This approach reduced error with temperature from 25°/h to 0.7°/h,meeting the requirements of control-level gyroscopes with bias errors less than 1°/h. 展开更多

光纤陀螺保偏光路温度性能提升与评价技术

光纤陀螺保偏光路的温度性能不但受到单个光学器件的影响,而且受到器件尾纤和保偏熔接点的影响。随着光纤陀螺精度不断提高,后者的影响逐渐显现。对器件尾纤提出了低应力处理技术,保证尾纤受外力小且均匀。对保偏熔接点提出了熔接参数... 光纤陀螺保偏光路的温度性能不但受到单个光学器件的影响,而且受到器件尾纤和保偏熔接点的影响。随着光纤陀螺精度不断提高,后者的影响逐渐显现。对器件尾纤提出了低应力处理技术,保证尾纤受外力小且均匀。对保偏熔接点提出了熔接参数精确调控技术,保证对轴角度小且熔接损耗低,从而提高保偏光路的温度性能。为了评价其温度性能,搭建了保偏光路温度测试系统,并给出了评价指标:全温零偏极差和补偿后零偏稳定性。实验结果表明,器件本身不变的情况下,对保偏光路的尾纤和熔接点进行优化处理,对比优化前后的评价指标,全温零偏极差降低了22%~60%,补偿后零偏稳定性提高了1.4~2倍。实验结果充分验证了,保偏光路尾纤低应力处理和熔接参数精确调控技术对保偏光路温度性能提升的有效性,为高精度光纤陀螺的生产提供指导意义。 展开更多

为提升三轴光纤陀螺惯性平台在多源非线性干扰下的稳定控制精度提出一种融合等效输入干扰(EID)估计器与自适应反演积分滑模控制(ABISMC)的复合控制方法,在建立三轴惯性平台的台体合成动力学模型基础上利用EID估计器在线估计扰动,将EID... 为提升三轴光纤陀螺惯性平台在多源非线性干扰下的稳定控制精度提出一种融合等效输入干扰(EID)估计器与自适应反演积分滑模控制(ABISMC)的复合控制方法,在建立三轴惯性平台的台体合成动力学模型基础上利用EID估计器在线估计扰动,将EID估计器的估计结果代入到反演积分滑模控制中,避免符号函数引起的抖振。设计自适应误差补偿律动态修正EID估计器误差,进一步优化系统性能。在复合控制方法与传统PID方法的比较中,相同干扰条件下,由阶跃干扰引起的台体轴转角幅值减少25.70″(62.62%)。结果表明,高性能复合控制方法实现了稳定性能、响应速度的同步提升,有效增强了稳定回路的控制精度与抗干扰能力。 展开更多
