By gas chromatogram, six crude oils fingerprinting distributed in four oilfields and four oil platforms were analyzed and the corre- sponding normal paraffin hydrocarbon ( including pristane and phytane) concentration was obtained by the internal standard methed. The normal paraffin hydrocarbon distribution patterns of six crude oils were built and compared. The cluster analysis on the normal paraffin hydrocarbon concentration was conducted for classification and some ratios of oils were used for oils comparison. The results indicated: there was a clear difference within different crude oils in different oil fields and a small difference between the crude oils in the same oil platform. The normal paraffin hydrocarbon distribution pattern and ratios, as well as the cluster analysis on the nomad paraffin hydrocarbon concentration can have a better differentiation result for the crude oils with small difference than the original gas chromatogram. 展开更多

The intricate distribution of oil and water in tight rocks makes pinpointing oil layers challenging. While conventional identification methods offer potential solutions, their limited accuracy precludes them from being effective in their applications to unconventional reservoirs. This study employed nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectrum decomposition to dissect the NMR T_(2)spectrum into multiple subspectra.Furthermore,it employed laboratory NMR experiments to ascertain the fluid properties of these sub-spectra,aiming to enhance identification accuracy. The findings indicate that fluids of distinct properties overlap in the T_(2)spectra,with bound water, movable water, bound oil,and movable oil appearing sequentially from the low-value zone to the high-value zone.Consequently,an oil layer classification scheme was proposed, which considers the physical properties of reservoirs,oil-bearing capacity, and the characteristics of both mobility and the oil-water two-phase flow. When applied to tight oil layer identification, the scheme's outcomes align closely with actual test results.A horizontal well, deployed based on these findings, has produced high-yield industrial oil flow, underscoring the precision and dependability of this new approach. 展开更多

Laboratory experiments were conducted to simulate oil weathering process, a medium to long term weathering process for 210-d, using samples collected from five different oil resources. Based on relative deviation and repeatability limit analysis about indexes of these samples, the results show there had been significant changes in diagnostic ratios among the initial and weathered samples of different oils during this process. Changes of selected n-alkane diagnostic ratios of all oil samples displayed more obviously than diagnostic ratios of terpanes, steranes and PAHs in this process. Almost all selected diagnostic ratios of terpanes, steranes and PAHs can be efficiently used in tracking sources of hydrocarbon pollution, differentiating from the n-alkane diagnostic ratios. In these efficient diagnostic ratios, only four ratios maintained good stability in the weathering processes and are more suitable because their relative deviation(RSD) are lower than 5%. 展开更多

In 2013, a great breakthrough of deep petroleum exploration was achieved in the Cambrian pre-salt intervals of Wells Zhongshen1(ZS1) and Zhongshen1C(ZS1C), Tazhong Uplift. However, the hydrocarbon discovery in the Cambrian pre-salt intervals has triggered extensive controversy regarding the source of marine oils in the Tarim Basin. The geochemistry and origin of the Cambrian pre-salt hydrocarbons in Wells ZS1 and ZS1 C were investigated using GC, GC-MS and stable carbon isotope technique. These hydrocarbons can be easily distinguished into two genetic families based on their geochemical and carbon isotopic compositions. The oil and natural gases from the Awatage Formation of Well ZS1 are derived from Middle-Upper Ordovician source rocks. In contrast, the condensate and gases from the Xiaoerbulake Formation of Wells ZS1 and ZS1 C probably originate from Cambrian source rocks. The recent discovery of these hydrocarbons with two different sources in Wells ZS1 and ZS1 C suggests that both Middle-Upper Ordovician-sourced hydrocarbons and Cambrian-sourced petroleums are accumulated in the Tazhong Uplift, presenting a great exploration potential. 展开更多
