Pollen germination on the surface of compatible stigmatic tissues is an essential step for plant fertilization. Here we report that the Arabidopsis mutant bcll is male sterile as a result of the failure ofpollen germination. We show that the bcll mutant allele cannot be transmitted by male gametophytes and no homozygous bcll mutants were obtained. Analysis of pollen developmental stages indicates that the bcll mutation affects pollen germination but not pollen maturation. Molecular analysis demonstrates that the failure of pollen germination was caused by the disruption of AtBECLIN 1. AtBECLIN 1 is expressed predominantly in mature pollen and encodes a protein with significant homology to Beclin1/Atg6/Vps30 required for the processes of autophagy and vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) in yeast. We also show that AtBECLIN 1 is required for normal plant development, and that genes related to autophagy, VPS and the glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor system, were affected by the deficiency of AtBECLIN 1. 展开更多

Especially during the first six years of life in an adequate environment rich in exchange and interaction. We will present in this article a review of the literature concerning normal early childhood development, focus firstly in normal development’s steps, the importance of first experiences and first aid with a stable and caring attachment figure. second, we will describe the various developmental disorders, occurring during this age group which extends from birth to 6 years and based on the DSM5 classification, namely that developmental delay may concern only one aspect of development (e.g. language delay or motor delay specifically) or concern the different aspects of development (overall development delay). The dynamics of development is also important to clarify because schematically we contrast the pathologies fixed to progressive pathologies (where we find the concepts of stagnation or regression in the development of the child). We will discuss in the third chapter, the interest of early detection as well as the multiple clinical and psychometric diagnostic tools, which aim to detect any delay or disorder in order to initiate appropriate care and minimize the long-term consequences.
展开更多

Combining the disputes on the "normal development" and "natural growth" existing in farmers' cooperatives and according to the actual investigation statistics, the management model selection and regulation (including model selection, policy encouragement, operation scale and scale selection ) of farmers'cooperatives in Deyang City, share structure and governance structure( including the establishment way and share structure, reserve sharing and dividend distribution, organization structure and policy-making mechanism), capital raising situation and financial support of farmers' cooperatives in Deyang City are analyzed empirically. It is pointed out the farmers' cooperatives should take the road "normal development". 展开更多

This paper attempts to explain the "new normal" of China's economic development put forward by XI Jinping, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, from three perspectives. First, as the new normal is a natural phase of long-term development in the country's renaissance, recognition of it helps policy-making to hold a historical perspective and maintain a patience in the face of growth slowdown. Second, the new normal as the logic of China's economic development underlines the necessity and urgency of transforming growth patterns and growth drivers. Third, different from the "new mediocre" of the world economy, the new normal reveals great potentials of sustainable growth of the Chinese economy that must be tapped through structural reforms. 展开更多

The prevalence of Class Ⅲ malocclusion varies among different countries and regions. The populations from Southeast Asian countries (Chinese and Malaysian) showed the highest prevalence rate of 15.8%, which can seriously affect oral function, facial appearance, and mental health. As anterior crossbite tends to worsen with growth, early orthodontic treatment can harness growth potential to normalize maxillofacial development or reduce skeletal malformation severity, thereby reducing the difficulty and shortening the treatment cycle of later-stage treatment. This is beneficial for the physical and mental growth of children. Therefore, early orthodontic treatment for Class Ⅲ malocclusion is particularly important. Determining the optimal timing for early orthodontic treatment requires a comprehensive assessment of clinical manifestations, dental age, and skeletal age, and can lead to better results with less effort. Currently, standardized treatment guidelines for early orthodontic treatment of Class Ⅲ malocclusion are lacking. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the etiology, clinical manifestations, classification, and early orthodontic techniques for Class Ⅲ malocclusion, along with systematic discussions on selecting early treatment plans. The purpose of this expert consensus is to standardize clinical practices and improve the treatment outcomes of Class Ⅲ malocclusion through early orthodontic treatment. 展开更多

Cellular senescence is a status of irreversible growth arrest, which can be triggered by the p53/p21cip1 and p16INK4/Rb pathways via intrinsic and external factors.Senescent cells are typically enlarged and flattened, and characterized by numerous molecular features. The latter consists of increased surfaceome, increased resid-ual lysosomal activity at pH 6.0(manifested by increased activity of senescence-associated beta-galactosidase[SA-𝛽-gal]),senescence-associated mitochondrial dysfunction, cytoplasmic chromatin fragment, nuclear lamin b1 exclusion,telomere-associated foci, and the senescence-associated secretory phenotype. These features vary depending on the stressor leading to senescence and the type of senescence.Cellular senescence plays pivotal roles in organismal aging and in the pathogenesis of aging-related diseases.Interestingly, senescence can also both promote and inhibit wound healing processes. We recently report that senescence as a programmed pro-cess contributes to normal lung development.Lung senescence is also observed in Down Syndrome,as well as in premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and in a hyperoxia-induced rodent model of this disease.Furthermore, this senescence results in neonatal lung injury. In this review,we briefly discuss the molecular features of senescence. We then focus on the emerging role of senescence in normal lung development and in the pathogenesis of bronchopulmonary dysplasia as well as putative signaling pathways driving senescence. Finally,we discuss potential therapeutic approaches targeting senescent cells to prevent perinatal lung diseases. 展开更多

In recent discourse, terms such as"China-US trade war"and MChina-US strategic competitionMhave flooded the media, often misleading the public and obscuring factual distinctions. The so-called"strategy"in this context implicitly aligns with hegemonic agendas, while the rhetoric of“competition”—relies on the flawed premise of an inevitable rivalry for global dominance. However, the reality diverges sharply from this framing.China has consistently pursued normal development rooted in free trade principles and the WTO's multilateral trading system.Conversely, the US has repeatedly undermined these very foundations-sabotaging free trade norms and multilateral rules while implementing strategic measures to suppress China's growth. The relationship between China and the US is not a contest for hegemony. 展开更多

In this study, osculating caustic developable surfaces and rectifying caustic developable surfaces were obtained by considering space curves and curves on surfaces as base curves and changing the direction of the light source refected by the mirror surface. It was proved that pseudo-evolute curves represent the striction curves(regression edges)of these surfaces. For developable surfaces based on curves on surfaces,it was observed that osculating caustic developable surfaces are equivalent to rectifying caustic developable surfaces if the curve is geodesic.Additionally, when the base curve was taken over any surface, the caustic surfaces were characterized as flat or normal approximation surfaces, depending on the direction of the light source. 展开更多

Normal child development is slow from birth to 25 years.Since Neolithic times, humans have relied on common sense, learned by trial and error, and mourned infants lost to infection and mal-nutrition.In recent times, knowledge of the process accelerated with increasing interest in child survival and health improvement.Historically, infant survival relied on breastfeeding until patho-gens were identified, food technology developed, and infant/child surveillance commenced within the ethos of public health.Today, universal screening of infants from birth aims to identify devia-tion from the norm in all areas of development, allowing early intervention and correction. The personal experience of health professionals can be a positive factor in reflective practice,question-ing orthodoxy and generating new perspectives and corrective strategies.Clinical settings generate practice-based evidence,a prerequisite for research. This concept of the infant as a primary cause of feeding problems demands consideration of a new paradigm and prompts research. 展开更多
