Using the Lyapunov function method, this paper investigates the design of state feedback stabilization controllers for fractional order nonlinear systems in triangular form, and presents a number of new results. First, some new properties of Caputo fractional derivative are presented, and a sufficient condition of asymptotical stability for fractional order nonlinear systems is obtained based on the new properties. Then, by introducing appropriate transformations of coordinates, the problem of controller design is converted into the problem of finding some parameters, which can be certainly obtained by solving the Lyapunov equation and relevant matrix inequalities. Finally, based on the Lyapunov function method, state feedback stabilization controllers making the closed-loop system asymptotically stable are explicitly constructed. A simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design procedure. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation. 展开更多

In this paper, a new fuzzy-neural adaptive control approach is developed for a class of single-input and single-output (SISO) nonlinear systems with unmeasured states. Using fuzzy neural networks to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions, a fuzzy- neural adaptive observer is introduced for state estimation as well as system identification. Under the framework of the backstepping design, fuzzy-neural adaptive output feedback control is constructed recursively. It is proven that the proposed fuzzy adaptive control approach guarantees the global boundedness property for all the signals, driving the tracking error to a small neighbordhood of the origin. It can achieve this precisely for systems that are linear time-invariant and for which noiseless measurement datasets are available. However, for nonlinear systems, and/or when the only noisy measurement datasets available contain noise, this approach is unable to yield satisfactory results. In this study, we investigated the effect on data-driven pole placement performance of introducing a prefilter to reduce the noise present in datasets. Using numerical simulations of a self-balancing robot, we demonstrated the important role that prefiltering can play in reducing the interference caused by noise. 展开更多

It is proved that the errors of estimated states and the actual system's states are bounded. And it is guaranteed that the estimated states of the closed-loop system are ultimately bounded in a region containing the origin. As a result, the states of the actual system are ultimately bounded. Based upon the theory of the nonlinear quadric two-person nonzero-sum differential game,the fact that the time-limited mixed H2/H∞ control problem can be turned into the problem of solving the state feedback Nash balance point is mentioned. Upon this,a theorem about the solution of the state feedback control is given,the Lyapunov stabilization of the nonlinear system under this control is proved,too. At the same time,this solution is used to design the nonlinear H2/H∞ guidance law of the relative motion between the missile and the target in three-dimensional(3D) space. By solving two coupled Hamilton-Jacobi partial differential inequalities(HJPDI),a control with more robust stabilities and more robust performances is obtained. With different H∞ performance indexes,the correlative weighting factors of the control are analytically designed. At last,simulations under different robust performance indexes and under different initial conditions and under the cases of intercepting different maneuvering targets are carried out. By solving Lyapunov equation, we demonstrate a new proposition on Equal ratio gain technique. By using Equal ratio gain technique, Singular perturbation technique and Lyapunov method, theorem to ensure regionally as well as semi-globally exponential stability is established in terms of some bounded information. Moreover, a real time method to evaluate the ratio coefficients of controller and observer are proposed such that their values can be chosen moderately. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that not only output feedback nonlinear general integral control has the striking robustness but also the organic combination of Equal ratio gain technique and Singular perturbation technique constitutes a powerful tool to solve the output feedback control design problem of dynamics with the nonlinear and uncertain actions. 展开更多

The nonlinear function is considered to satisfy conic-type constraint condition. A novel finite-time boundedness(FTB) based sliding mode controller design theory is proposed. And then a sufficient condition is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), which guarantees the resulted sliding mode dynamics to be FTB wrt some predefined scalars. Thereafter, a FTB-based sliding mode control(SMC) law is synthesized to ensure the state of the controlled system is driven into a novel desired switching surface s(t) = c(c is a constant) in a finite time. An enhanced least mean square(LMS)error identification algorithm integrated with Kalman filtering is proposed to resolve accuracy degradation induced by nonlinear dynamics and parameter uncertainties in continuous rotary electro-hydraulic servo systems.This enhancement accelerates convergence and improves accuracy compared with traditional LMS.A fifth-order identification mod-el is developed based on valve-controlled hydraulic motors,with parameters identified using Kalman filter state estimation and gradient smoothing.The results indicate that the improved LMS effectively enhances parameter identification.An advanced disturbance rejection controller(ADRC)is de-signed,and its performance is compared with an optimal proportional integral derivative(PID)con-troller through Simulink simulations.The results show that the ADRC fulfills the control specifications and expands the system’s operational bandwidth. 展开更多

This paper,the first-part of a two part series of surveys on Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion(INDI),provides an overview of the evolution and developments in INDI.Written in a tutorial style,it presents different basic INDI variants and their specifics,such as modelbased INDI,sensor-based INDI,and hybrid INDI.Furthermore,it sets these different approaches in context with each other.Later developments of INDI explicitly consider actuator dynamics.Those concepts are summarized and discussed in detail.Subsequently,studies that relate INDI to other control methods are summarized.Finally,an overview of various applications of INDI is given,covering different types of control loops and various types of vehicles and plants.This paper seeks to set these developments into context with each other.The purpose of this paper is twofold.INDI is already well-known in the domain of flight control but less so in other fields.Therefore,the paper is written in a comprehensive tutorial style to provide easy access to readers unfamiliar with the topic.On the other hand,the paper can serve as a reference for readers familiar with the topic. 展开更多

Load simulator is a key test equipment for aircraft actuation systems in hardware-in-the-loop-simulation. Static loading is an essential function of the load simulator and widely used in the static/dynamic stiffness test of aircraft actuation systems. The tracking performance of the static loading is studied in this paper. Firstly, the nonlinear mathematical models of the hydraulic load simulator are derived, and the feedback linearization method is employed to construct a feed-forward controller to improve the force tracking performance. Considering the effect of the friction, a LuGre model based friction compensation is synthesized, in which the unmeasurable state is estimated by a dual state observer via a controlled learning mechanism to guarantee that the estimation is bounded. The modeling errors are attenuated by a well-designed robust controller with a control accuracy measured by a design parameter. Employing the dual state observer is to capture the different effects of the unmeasured state and hence can improve the friction compensation accuracy. The tracking performance is summarized by a derived theorem. Experimental results are also obtained to verify the high performance nature of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

In order to meet the precision requirements and tracking performance of the continuous rotary motor electro-hydraulic servo system under unknown strong non-linear and uncertain strong disturbance factors,such as dynamic uncertainty and parameter perturbation,an improved active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)strategy was proposed.The state space model of the fifth order closed-loop system was established based on the principle of valve-controlled hydraulic motor.Then the three parts of ADRC were improved by parameter perturbation and external disturbance;the fast tracking differentiator was introduced into linear and non-linear combinations;the nonlinear state error feedback was proposed using synovial control;the extended state observer was determined by nonlinear compensation.In addition,the grey wolf algorithm was used to set the parameters of the three parts.The simulation and experimental results show that the improved ADRC can realize the system frequency 12 Hz when the tracking accuracy and response speed meet the requirements of double ten indexes,which lay foundation for the motor application. 展开更多

Two optimal power control (PC) schemes under the power constraint for space-time coded multiple input multiple output systems over the flat Rayleigh fading channel with the imperfect channel state information (CSI) are presented. One is based on the minimization of a bit error rate (BER), and the other is based on the maximization of a fuzzy signal-to-noise ratio. In these schemes, different powers are allocated to individual transmit an- tennas rather than equal power in the conventional one. For the first scheme, the optimal PC procedure is developed. It is shown that the Lagrange multiplier for the constrained optimization in the power control does exist and is unique. A practical iterative algorithm based on Newton's method for finding the Lagrange multiplier is proposed. In the second scheme, some existing schemes are included, and a suboptimal PC procedure is developed by means of the asymptotic performance analysis. With this suboptimal scheme, a simple PC calculation formula is provided, and thus the calculation of the PC will be straightforward. Moreover, the suboptimal scheme has the BER performance close to the optimal scheme. Simulation results show that the two PC schemes can provide BER lower than the equal PC and antenna selection scheme under the imperfect CSI. 展开更多
