This article studies the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution of a family of control systems with a delay that are governed by the nonlinear fractional evolution differential equations in Banach spaces. Moreover,we establish the controllability of the considered system. To do so,first,we investigate the approximate controllability of the corresponding linear system.Subsequently,we prove the nonlinear system is approximately controllable if the corresponding linear system is approximately controllable. To reach the conclusions, the theory of resolvent operators, the Banach contraction mapping principle, and fixed point theorems are used. While concluding, some examples are given to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed results. 展开更多

This paper investigates a multiplayer Pareto game for affine nonlinear stochastic systems disturbed by both external and the internal multiplicative noises. The Pareto cooperative optimal strategies with the H_(∞) constraint are resolved by integrating H_(2)/H_(∞) theory with Pareto game theory.First,a nonlinear stochastic bounded real lemma(SBRL)is derived, explicitly accounting for non-zero initial conditions.Through the analysis of four cross-coupled Hamilton-Jacobi equations(HJEs),we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of Pareto optimal strategies with the H_(∞) constraint.Secondly,to address the complexity of solving these nonlinear partial differential HJEs,we propose a neural network(NN)framework with synchronous tuning rules for the actor, critic, and disturbance components, based on a reinforcement learning(RL)approach. The designed tuning rules ensure convergence of the actor-critic-disturbance components to the desired values, enabling the realization of robust Pareto control strategies. The convergence of the proposed algorithm is rigorously analyzed using a constructed Lyapunov function for the NN weight errors. Finally,a numerical simulation example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and main results. 展开更多

The flow control at low Reynolds numbers is one of the most promising technologies in the field of aerodynamics, and it is also an important source of the innovation for novel aircraft. In this study,a new way of nonlinear flow control by interaction between two flexible flaps is proposed, and their flow control mechanism is studied employing the self-constructed immersed boundary-lattice Boltzmann-finite element method(IB-LB-FEM).The effects of the difference in material properties and flap length between the two flexible flaps on the nonlinear flow control of the airfoil are discussed. It is suggested that the relationship between the deformation of the two flexible flaps and the evolution of the vortex under the fluid-structure interaction(FSI).It is shown that the upstream flexible flap plays a key role in the flow control of the two flexible flaps. The FSI effect of the upstream flexible flap will change the unsteady flow behind it and affect the deformation of the downstream flexible flap. Two flexible flaps with different material properties and different lengths will change their own FSI characteristics by the induced vortex, effectively suppressing the flow separation on the airfoil’s upper surface. The interaction of two flexible flaps plays an extremely important role in improving the autonomy and adjustability of flow control. The numerical results will provide a theoretical basis and technical guidance for the development and application of a new flap passive control technology. 展开更多

The paper develops a robust control approach for nonaffine nonlinear continuous systems with input constraints and unknown uncertainties. Firstly, this paper constructs an affine augmented system(AAS) within a pre-compensation technique for converting the original nonaffine dynamics into affine dynamics. Secondly, the paper derives a stability criterion linking the original nonaffine system and the auxiliary system, demonstrating that the obtained optimal policies from the auxiliary system can achieve the robust controller of the nonaffine system. Thirdly, an online adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) algorithm is designed for approximating the optimal solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman(HJB) equation. Moreover, the gradient descent approach and projection approach are employed for updating the actor-critic neural network(NN) weights, with the algorithm's convergence being proven. Then, the uniformly ultimately bounded stability of state is guaranteed. Finally, in simulation, some examples are offered for validating the effectiveness of this presented approach. 展开更多

In this paper,a pair of dynamic high-gain observer and output feedback controller is proposed for nonlinear systems with multiple unknown time delays.By constructing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals,it shows that global state asymptotic regulation can be ensured by introducing a single dynamic gain;furthermore, global asymptotic stabilization can be achieved by choosing a sufficiently large static scaling gain when the upper bounds of all system parameters are known.Especially, the output coefficient is allowed to be non-differentiable with unknown upper bound. This paper proposes a generalized Lyapunov matrix inequality based dynamic-gain scaling method, which significantly simplifies the design computational complexity by comparing with the classic backstepping method. 展开更多

This paper investigates the problem of dynamic event-triggered control for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems. In particular, both neutral delays and unknown backlash-like hysteresis are considered. This requires to integrate a compensation mechanism into the event-triggered control architecture. To this end, dynamic gain and adaptive control techniques are introduced to address the effects of neutral delays, unknown hysteresis and parameter uncertainties simultaneously.By introducing a non-negative internal dynamic variable,a dynamic event-triggered controller is designed using the hyperbolic tangent function to reduce the communication burden.By means of the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method,it is demonstrated that all signals of the closed-loop system are globally bounded and eventually converge to a tunable bounded region. Moreover, the Zeno behavior is avoided. Finally,a simulation example is presented to verify the validity of the control scheme. 展开更多

This paper addresses the tracking control problem of a class of multiple-input–multiple-output nonlinear systems subject to actuator faults.Achieving a balance between input saturation and performance constraints, rather than conducting isolated analyses, especially in the presence of frequently encountered unknown actuator faults, becomes an interesting yet challenging problem.First,to enhance the tracking performance,Tunnel Prescribed Performance(TPP)is proposed to provide narrow tunnel-shape constraints instead of the common over-relaxed trumpet-shape performance constraints.A pair of non-negative signals produced by an auxiliary system is then integrated into TPP,resulting in Saturation-tolerant Prescribed Performance(SPP)with flexible performance boundaries that account for input saturation situations.Namely,SPP can appropriately relax TPP when needed and decrease the conservatism of control design. With the help of SPP,our developed Saturation-tolerant Prescribed Control(SPC)guarantees finite-time convergence while satisfying both input saturation and performance constraints, even under serious actuator faults.Simulations are conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed SPC. 展开更多

A drag-free satellite is an important platform for space-borne gravitational wave(GW)observation. To achieve the high-precision control of a drag-free satellite in practical engineering,an accurate dynamic model is essential. This paper presents a nonlinear model of the electrostatic effect between a satellite and a test mass(TM),and designs a model predictive controller based on the drag-free satellite model with the nonlinear electrostatic effect. To determine the analytical form of the electrostatic effect,a comprehensive theoretical analysis is performed for gravitational reference sensors(GRSs).An electrostatic force and a torque are simulated with the displacement as a varying parameter through a commercial software. Then, the results are fitted to derive the nonlinear expressions of the electrostatic effect. The model predictive controllers based on the models with the nonlinear and linear electrostatic effects are designed in the capture mode. Finally, the control results are given to show the advantages of the nonlinear electrostatic effect. 展开更多

This paper discusses the design of event-triggered output-feedback controller for a class of nonlinear time-delay systems with multiple uncertainties. In sharp contrast to previous works, the considered systems possess two important characteristics: (i) The uncertain nonlinear terms meet the linearly unmeasurable-states dependent growth with the growth rate being an unknown function of the input and output. (ii) There exist input matching uncertainty and unknown measurement sensitivity. By introducing a single dynamic gain and employing a cleverly devised event-triggering mechanism (ETM), we design a new gain-based event-triggered output-feedback controller, which globally regulates all states of the considered systems and maintains global boundedness of the closed-loop system. Furthermore, the estimation of input matching uncertainty achieves convergence towards its actual value, and Zeno behavior does not happen. Two simulation examples including a practical one show that the proposed approach is effective. 展开更多

In this paper, a fault-tolerant-based online critic learning algorithm is developed to solve the optimal tracking control issue for nonaffine nonlinear systems with actuator faults.First, a novel augmented plant is constructed by fusing the system state and the reference trajectory, which aims to transform the optimal fault-tolerant tracking control design with actuator faults into the optimal regulation problem of the conventional nonlinear error system. Subsequently, in order to ensure the normal execution of the online learning algorithm, a stability criterion condition is created to obtain an initial admissible tracking policy. Then, the constructed model neural network(NN) is pretrained to recognize the system dynamics and calculate trajectory control. The critic and action NNs are constructed to output the approximate cost function and approximate tracking control, respectively. The Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation of the error system is solved online through the action-critic framework. In theoretical analysis, it is proved that all concerned signals are uniformly ultimately bounded according to the Lyapunov principle. The tracking control law can approach the optimal tracking control within a finite approximation error. Finally, two experimental examples are conducted to indicate the effectiveness and superiority of the developed fault-tolerant tracking control scheme. 展开更多

In this paper, the containment control problem in nonlinear multi-agent systems(NMASs) under denial-of-service(DoS) attacks is addressed. Firstly, a prediction model is obtained using the broad learning technique to train historical data generated by the system offline without DoS attacks. Secondly, the dynamic linearization method is used to obtain the equivalent linearization model of NMASs. Then, a novel model-free adaptive predictive control(MFAPC) framework based on historical and online data generated by the system is proposed, which combines the trained prediction model with the model-free adaptive control method. The development of the MFAPC method motivates a much simpler robust predictive control solution that is convenient to use in the case of DoS attacks. Meanwhile, the MFAPC algorithm provides a unified predictive framework for solving consensus tracking and containment control problems. The boundedness of the containment error can be proven by using the contraction mapping principle and the mathematical induction method. Finally, the proposed MFAPC is assessed through comparative experiments. 展开更多

This paper proposes an adaptive nonlinear proportional-derivative(ANPD)controller for a two-wheeled self-balancing robot(TWSB)modeled by the Lagrange equation with external forces. The proposed control scheme is designed based on the combination of a nonlinear proportional-derivative(NPD)controller and a genetic algorithm,in which the proportional-derivative(PD)parameters are updated online based on the tracking error and the preset error threshold. In addition, the genetic algorithm is employed to adaptively select initial controller parameters, contributing to system stability and improved control accuracy. The proposed controller is basic in design yet simple to implement. The ANPD controller has the advantage of being computationally lightweight and providing high robustness against external forces. The stability of the closed-loop system is rigorously analyzed and verified using Lyapunov theory, providing theoretical assurance of its robustness.Simulations and experimental results show that the TWSB robot with the proposed ANPD controller achieves quick balance and tracks target values with very small errors, demonstrating the effectiveness and performance of the proposed controller. The proposed ANPD controller demonstrates significant improvements in balancing and tracking performance for two-wheeled self-balancing robots, which has great applicability in the field of robot control systems. This represents a promising solution for applications requiring precise and stable motion control under varying external conditions. 展开更多

In this paper,a new optimal adaptive backstepping control approach for nonlinear systems under deception attacks via reinforcement learning is presented in this paper. The existence of nonlinear terms in the studied system makes it very difficult to design the optimal controller using traditional methods. To achieve optimal control,RL algorithm based on critic–actor architecture is considered for the nonlinear system.Due to the significant security risks of network transmission, the system is vulnerable to deception attacks, which can make all the system state unavailable.By using the attacked states to design coordinate transformation, the harm brought by unknown deception attacks has been overcome. The presented control strategy can ensure that all signals in the closed-loop system are semi-globally ultimately bounded. Finally, the simulation experiment is shown to prove the effectiveness of the strategy. 展开更多

The paper investigates the practical prescribed-time fuzzy tracking control problem for a category of nonlinear system subject to time-varying actuator faults. The presence of unknown nonlinear dynamics and actuator faults makes achieving tracking control within a prescribed-time challenging. To tackle this issue,we propose a novel practical prescribed-time fuzzy tracking control strategy, which is independent of the initial state of the system and does not rely on precise modeling of the system and actuators. We apply the approximation capabilities of fuzzy logic systems to handle the unknown nonlinear functions and unidentified actuator faults in the system. The piecewise controller and adaptive law constructed based on piecewise prescribed time-varying function and backstepping technique method establish the theoretical framework of practical prescribed-time tracking control, and extend the range of prescribed-time tracking control to infinity.Regardless of the initial conditions, the proposed control strategy can guarantee that all signals remain uniformly bounded within the practical prescribed time in the presence of unknown nonlinear item and time-varying actuator faults.Simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

This paper concerns ultimately bounded output-feedback control problems for networked systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Sensor-to-observer signal transmission is facilitated over networks that has communication constraints. These transmissions are carried out over an unreliable communication channel. In order to enhance the utilization rate of measurement data, a buffer-aided strategy is novelly employed to store historical measurements when communication networks are inaccessible. Using the neural network technique, a novel observer-based controller is introduced to address effects of signal transmission behaviors and unknown nonlinear dynamics.Through the application of stochastic analysis and Lyapunov stability, a joint framework is constructed for analyzing resultant system performance under the introduced controller. Subsequently, existence conditions for the desired output-feedback controller are delineated. The required parameters for the observerbased controller are then determined by resolving some specific matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation example is showcased to confirm method efficacy. 展开更多

Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILC) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILC based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILC methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process. 展开更多

This paper presents a Shared Control Architecture(SCA)between a human pilot and a smart inceptor for nonlinear Pilot Induced Oscillations(PIOs),e.g.,category II or III PIOs.One innovation of this paper is that an intelligent shared control architecture is developed based on the intelligent active inceptor technique,i.e.,Smart Adaptive Flight Effective Cue(SAFE-Cue).A deep reinforcement learning approach namely Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)method is chosen to design a gain adaptation mechanism for the SAFE-Cue module.By doing this, the gains of the SAFE-Cue will be intelligently tuned once nonlinear PIOs triggered;meanwhile, the human pilot will receive a force cue from the SAFE-Cue,and will consequently adapting his/her control policy. The second innovation of this paper is that the reward function of the DDPG based gain adaptation approach is constructed according to flying qualities.Under the premise of considering failure situation, task completion qualities and pilot workload are also taken into account. Finally, the proposed approach is validated using numerical simulation experiments with two types of scenarios:lower actuator rate limits and airframe damages. The Inceptor Peak Power-Phase(IPPP)metric is adopted to analyze the human-vehicle system simulation results. Results and analysis show that the DDPG based sharing control approach can well address nonlinear PIO problems consisting of Categories Ⅱ and Ⅲ PIO events. 展开更多
