A method for ranking complementary judgment matrixes with traspezoidal fuzzy numbers based on Hausdorff metric distance and fuzzy compromise decision approach is proposed. With regard to fuzzy number complementary judgment matrixes given by a decider group whose members have various weights, the expert's information was aggregated first by means of simple weight average(SWA) method and Bonissone calculational method. Hence a matrix including all the experts' preference information was got. Then the matrix' column members were added up and the fuzzy evaluation values of the alternatives were got. Lastly, the Hausdorff metric distance and fuzzy compromise decision approach were used to rank the fuzzy evaluation values and then the ranking values of all the alternatives were got. Because exact numbers and triangular fuzzy numbers could all be transformed into trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, the method developed can rank complementary judgment matrixes with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, triangular fuzzy numbers and exact numbers as well. An illustrative example is also given to verify the developed method and to demonstrate its feasibility and practicality. 展开更多

The output of the fuzzy set is reduced by one for the defuzzification procedure.It is employed to provide a comprehensible outcome from a fuzzy inference process.This page provides further information about the defuzzifica-tion approach for quadrilateral fuzzy numbers,which may be used to convert them into discrete values.Defuzzification demonstrates how useful fuzzy ranking systems can be.Our major purpose is to develop a new ranking method for gen-eralized quadrilateral fuzzy numbers.The primary objective of the research is to provide a novel approach to the accurate evaluation of various kinds of fuzzy inte-gers.Fuzzy ranking properties are examined.Using the counterexamples of Lee and Chen demonstrates the fallacy of the ranking technique.So,a new approach has been developed for dealing with fuzzy risk analysis,risk management,indus-trial engineering and optimization,medicine,and artificial intelligence problems:the generalized quadrilateral form fuzzy number utilizing centroid methodology.As you can see,the aforementioned scenarios are all amenable to the solution pro-vided by the generalized quadrilateral shape fuzzy number utilizing centroid methodology.It’s laid out in a straightforward manner that’s easy to grasp for everyone.The rating method is explained in detail,along with numerical exam-ples to illustrate it.Last but not least,stability evaluations clarify why the Gener-alized quadrilateral shape fuzzy number obtained by the centroid methodology outperforms other ranking methods. 展开更多

The paper describes the necessity of application of intelligent technologies to support decisions of more objective problems in human resource management. In this paper, we describe the methodology for personnel selection problem for the vacancy with regard to the importance and nonequivalence of numerous indicators characterizing the alternatives. The specific features of the selection problem are highlighted, immersing the problem into a fuzzy environment. A fuzzy multicriterial model of the personnel selection problem is proposed. A technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solition (TOPSIS), was applied for evaluation and regulation of alternatives. This technique is based on criteria of qualitative character, which are hierarchically structured by multiple experts to intellectually support decisions made in personnel selection problem. Using TOPSIS method and generated criteria system an experiment was conducted for evaluation of the candidates during solution of hiring problems. Global security threats have motivated organizations to adopt robust and reliable security systems to ensure the safety of individuals and assets.Biometric authentication systems offer a strong solution.However,choosing the best security system requires a structured decision-making framework,especially in complex scenarios involving multiple criteria.To address this problem,we develop a novel quantum spherical fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(QSF-TOPSIS)methodology,integrating quantum mechanics principles and fuzzy theory.The proposed approach enhances decision-making accuracy,handles uncertainty,and incorporates criteria relationships.Criteria weights are determined using spherical fuzzy sets,and alternatives are ranked through the QSFTOPSIS framework.This comprehensive multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)approach is applied to identify the optimal gate security system for an organization,considering critical factors such as accuracy,cost,and reliability.Additionally,the study compares the proposed approach with other established MCDM methods.The results confirm the alignment of rankings across these methods,demonstrating the robustness and reliability of the QSF-TOPSIS framework.The study identifies the infrared recognition and identification system(IRIS)as the most effective,with a score value of 0.5280 and optimal security system among the evaluated alternatives.This research contributes to the growing literature on quantum-enhanced decision-making models and offers a practical framework for solving complex,real-world problems involving uncertainty and ambiguity. 展开更多

A Three-Scale Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (T-FAHP) is proposed by introducing the Three-Scale Analytical Hierarchy Process (T-AHP) and the trapezoid fuzzy number. A multi-objective optimization model based on the T-FAHP is presented subsequently, in which many factors influencing the lectotype of offshore platform are taken into account synthetically, such as the original investment, the maintenance, cost, the ability of resisting fatigue and corrosion, the construction period, the threat to the environment, and so on. With this method, the experts can give the relatively precise ranking weight of each index and at the same time the requirement of consistence checking can be met, The result of a calculation example shows that the T-FAHP is practical. 展开更多

The demand rate, deterioration rate and backlogging rate are assumed as a triangular fuzzy numbers. The purpose of our study is to defuzzify the total profit function by signed distance method and centroid method. This study considers an MHD Jeffery-Hamel nanofluid flow with distinct nanoparticles such as copper,Al_(2)O_(3)and SiO_(2)between two rigid non-parallel plane walls with the fuzzy extension of the generalized dual parametric homotopy algorithm.The nanofluids have been formulated to enhance the thermophysical characteristics of fluids,including thermal diffusivity,conductivity,convective heat transfer coefficients and viscosity.Due to the presence of distinct nanofluids,a change in the value of volume fraction occurs that influences the velocity profiles of the flow.The short value of nanoparticles volume fraction is considered an uncertain parameter and represented in a triangular fuzzy number range among[0.0,0.1,0.2].A novel generalized dual parametric homotopy algorithm with fuzzy extension is used here to study the fuzzy velocities at various channel positions.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed approach has been demonstrated through a comparison with the available results in the crisp case. 展开更多

Shortages are allowed and fully backlogged. The time gap between the decision and actual commencement of production is termed as “preparation time” and is assumed to be crisp/imprecise in nature. The set-up cost depends on preparation time. The fuzzy preparation time is reduced to a crisp interval preparation time using nearest interval approximation and following the interval arithmetic, the reduced problem is converted to a multi-objective optimization problem. Mathematical analysis has been made for single objective crisp model (Model-I). Numerical illustration have been made for both crisp (Model-I) and fuzzy (Model-II) models. Model-I is solved by generalized reduced gradient technique and multi-objective model (Model-II) by Global Criteria Method. Sensitivity analyses have been made for some parameters of Model-I. 展开更多

Firstly, the discount rate and the growth rate are fuzzified as triangular fuzzy numbers in this fuzzy discounted cash flow model. Then the intrinsic value of an asset can be evaluated by the arithmetic operation on interval and λ- signed distance method under the framework of DCF approach.
