This paper concerns with the selection of the canonical form for non-minimum phase systems. In particular, it is shown that, by employing the well known controllable canonical form, the uncertainties of such systems can be divided into two terms in the state space model, one in the control channel and the other in the output channel. The necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for the stability of the closed-loop system with the proposed canonical form and ADRC. Also, by showing the necessity of the detectability of the extended system as well as certain information of the system-s "zeros", we present the fundamental guidelines of design ADRC for non-minimum phase uncertain systems.展开更多

To overcome the explosion of complexity problem in traditional backstepping design, the dynamic surface control(DSC) method is firstly used to deal with the problem of tracking control for the nonlinear non-minimum phase systems. The proposed outputfeedback DSC controller not only forces the system output to asymptotically track the desired trajectory, but also drives the unstable internal dynamics to follow its corresponding bounded and causal ideal internal dynamics, which is solved via stable system center method. This paper proposes an extension of the Modified-Plant ADRC(MP-ADRC)strategy to broaden its application to minimum phase dynamical systems.The main features of the MP-ADRC method are the inclusion of a constant gain i...This paper proposes an extension of the Modified-Plant ADRC(MP-ADRC)strategy to broaden its application to minimum phase dynamical systems.The main features of the MP-ADRC method are the inclusion of a constant gain in series with the plant output error and a linear filter in parallel with the overall error system.These structural changes do not influence the input/output dynamics of the original plant,but are intentionally introduced to modify the dynamics to be estimated by the extended state observer(ESO)and,thus,promote an increase in the robustness of the method.Some advantages can also be attributed to the proposed methodology,such as(i)the design procedures of both the controller and the ESO only require knowledge of the sign(±)of the plant input channel coefficient(or control gain);(ii)the plant control input is generated directly by a single ESO state variable.Despite the advantages and the characteristics of MP-ADRC mentioned earlier,closed-loop stability cannot be guaranteed when it is applied to dynamical systems that have finite zeros.To overcome this difficulty,this work introduces an extension in the MP-ADRC method.It basically consists of rewriting the minimum phase plant dynamics according to its relative order,and then follows with the design of the ESO by conveniently increasing the number of ESO state variables.The simulation results are also presented to illustrate the application of the proposed method.展开更多

The Quasi-Constant Envelope Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(QCE-OFDM) technique can achieve both high spectral efficiency and low peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR). Therefore, the QCE-OFDM technique is considered as a promising candidate multi-carrier technique for satellite systems. However, the Doppler effect will cause the carrier frequency offset(CFO), and the non-ideal oscillator will cause the carrier phase offset(CPO) in satellite systems. The CFO and CPO will further result in the bit-error-rate(BER) performance degradation. Hence, it is important to estimate and compensate the CFO and CPO. This paper analyzes the effects of both CFO and CPO in QCE-OFDM satellite systems. Furthermore, we propose a joint CFO and CPO estimation method based on the pilot symbols in the frequency domain. In addition, the optimal pilot symbol structure with different pilot overheads is designed according to the minimum Cramer-Rao bound(CRB) criterion. Simulation results show that the estimation accuracy of the proposed method is close to the CRB.展开更多

It finds that when the phase perturbation is weak, chaos is absent in power systems. With the increase of disturbed intensity σ, power systems become unstable and fall into chaos as σ further increases. These phenomena imply that random phase can induce and enhance chaos in power systems. Furthermore, the possible mechanism behind the action of random phase is addressed.展开更多

The phase diagrams and phase transitions of a typical bilayer fractional quantum Hall (QH) system with filling factor ν = 2/3 at the layer balanced point are investigated theoretically by finite size exact-diagonaliz...The phase diagrams and phase transitions of a typical bilayer fractional quantum Hall (QH) system with filling factor ν = 2/3 at the layer balanced point are investigated theoretically by finite size exact-diagonalization calculations and an exactly solvable model. We find some basic features essentially different from the bilayer integer QH systems at ν = 2, reflecting the special characteristics of the fractional QH systems. The degeneracy of the ground states occurs depending on the difference between intralayer and interlayer Coulomb energies, when interlayer tunneling energy (ΔSAS) gets close to zero. The continuous transitions of the finite size systems between the spin-polarized and spin-unpolarized phases are determined by the competition between the Zeeman energy (ΔZ) and the electron Coulomb energy, and are almost not affected by ΔSAS.展开更多

Our results confirm the previous structural phase transition sequence of pressurised ZnO. ZnO is thermodynamically stable up to 300GPa and zinc peroxide (Zn02, space group Pa3) is metastable under lower pressure. Insulating I4/mcm-Zn02 is thermodynamically stable between 128.3-300 GPa. Insulated metastable P3121-Zn02, controlling the pressure range of 51.5-128.3 GPa, has a wide band gap compared to the Pa3-Zn02 and I4/mem-Zn02. Phonon and elastic constant calculations conclude the dynamical and mechanical stability for the explored thermodynamically stable or metastable structures.展开更多

Under these conditions, the characteristics of arising equilibrium PBS are uniquely determined by the frequency of the periodic field, but the solitons with other frequencies are impossible. For such structure, the entropy increase connected with dissipation is compensated by the decrease of the entropy due to the external periodic field. It is shown that the equilibrium PBS are essentially the “self-organizing systems” that can arise spotaneously in a metastable state of ferromagnet.展开更多

文摘In this paper,we review the development of a phase theory for systems and networks in its first five years,represented by a trilogy:Matrix phases and their properties;The MIMO LTI system phase response,its physical interpretations,the small phase theorem,and the sectored real lemma;The synchronization of a multi-agent network using phase alignment.Towards the end,we also summarize a list of ongoing research on the phase theory and speculate what will happen in the next five years.
文摘The phase diagrams and phase transitions of a typical bilayer fractional quantum Hall (QH) system with filling factor ν = 2/3 at the layer balanced point are investigated theoretically by finite size exact-diagonalization calculations and an exactly solvable model. We find some basic features essentially different from the bilayer integer QH systems at ν = 2, reflecting the special characteristics of the fractional QH systems. The degeneracy of the ground states occurs depending on the difference between intralayer and interlayer Coulomb energies, when interlayer tunneling energy (ΔSAS) gets close to zero. The continuous transitions of the finite size systems between the spin-polarized and spin-unpolarized phases are determined by the competition between the Zeeman energy (ΔZ) and the electron Coulomb energy, and are almost not affected by ΔSAS.

文摘Variable-composition evolutionary structure searches are used to explore stable stoichiometries for the Zn-O system below 300 GPa. Our results confirm the previous structural phase transition sequence of pressurised ZnO. ZnO is thermodynamically stable up to 300GPa and zinc peroxide (Zn02, space group Pa3) is metastable under lower pressure. Insulating I4/mcm-Zn02 is thermodynamically stable between 128.3-300 GPa. Insulated metastable P3121-Zn02, controlling the pressure range of 51.5-128.3 GPa, has a wide band gap compared to the Pa3-Zn02 and I4/mem-Zn02. Phonon and elastic constant calculations conclude the dynamical and mechanical stability for the explored thermodynamically stable or metastable structures.
文摘Precessing ball solitons (PBS) in a ferromagnet during the first order phase transition is induced by a magnetic field directed along the axis of anisotropy, while the action of the periodic field perpendicular to the main magnetic field has been analyzed. Under these conditions, the characteristics of arising equilibrium PBS are uniquely determined by the frequency of the periodic field, but the solitons with other frequencies are impossible. For such structure, the entropy increase connected with dissipation is compensated by the decrease of the entropy due to the external periodic field. It is shown that the equilibrium PBS are essentially the “self-organizing systems” that can arise spotaneously in a metastable state of ferromagnet.
