At present, the teaching content of new engineering college English in our country is not practical, which makes it difficult for graduates to apply what they have learned in their future work and is not conducive to the development of students. College English plays a very important role for college students. It is helpful for college students to establish a correct outlook on three aspects, help them to correctly understand the major they have learned, and help them to improve their ability of active learning. Based on the analysis of the current situation of college English teaching under the background of new engineering, this paper puts forward several reform measures, such as reforming college English teaching content, reforming college English teaching methods and reforming college English teaching evaluation, etc., hoping to provide reference for relevant people, promote the development and progress of college English teaching under the background of new engineering, and improve the effectiveness of college English teaching.展开更多
