However, current research methods face limitations in applicability and accuracy. To address these challenges, this study introduces the K-GCN model, which integrates neighborhood k-shell distribution analysis with Graph Convolutional Network(GCN) technology to enhance key node identification in complex networks. The K-GCN model first leverages neighborhood k-shell distributions to calculate entropy values for each node, effectively quantifying node importance within the network. These entropy values are then used as key features within the GCN, which subsequently formulates intelligent strategies to maximize network connectivity disruption by removing a minimal set of nodes, thereby impacting the overall network architecture. Through iterative interactions with the environment, the GCN continuously refines its strategies, achieving precise identification of key nodes in the network. Unlike traditional methods, the K-GCN model not only captures local node features but also integrates the network structure and complex interrelations between neighboring nodes, significantly improving the accuracy and efficiency of key node identification.Experimental validation in multiple real-world network scenarios demonstrates that the K-GCN model outperforms existing methods.展开更多

Firstly, the nonlinear SEIQR epidemic spreading dynamic differential coupling model is proposed. Then, by using mean-field theory and the next-generation matrix method, the equilibriums and basic reproduction number are derived. Theoretical results indicate that the basic reproduction number significantly relies on model parameters and topology of the underlying networks. In addition, the globally asymptotic stability of equilibrium and the permanence of the disease are proved in detail by the Routh–Hurwitz criterion, Lyapunov method and La Salle's invariance principle. Furthermore, we find that the quarantine mechanism, that is the quarantine rate(γ1, γ2), has a significant effect on epidemic spreading through sensitivity analysis of basic reproduction number and model parameters. Meanwhile, the optimal control model of quarantined rate and analysis method are proposed, which can optimize the government control strategies and reduce the number of infected individual. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the correctness of theoretical results and a practice application is proposed to predict and control the spreading of COVID-19.展开更多

文摘Software systems play increasing important roles in modern society, and the ability against attacks is of great practical importance to crucial software systems, resulting in that the structure and robustness of software systems have attracted a tremendous amount of interest in recent years. In this paper, based on the source code of Tar and MySQL,we propose an approach to generate coupled software networks and construct three kinds of directed software networks:The function call network, the weakly coupled network and the strongly coupled network. The structural properties of these complex networks are extensively investigated. It is found that the average influence and the average dependence for all functions are the same. Moreover, eight attacking strategies and two robustness indicators(the weakly connected indicator and the strongly connected indicator)are introduced to analyze the robustness of software networks. This shows that the strongly coupled network is just a weakly connected network rather than a strongly connected one.For MySQL,high in-degree strategy outperforms other attacking strategies when the weakly connected indicator is used.On the other hand, high out-degree strategy is a good choice when the strongly connected indicator is adopted. This work will highlight a better understanding of the structure and robustness of software networks.

文摘Independent cascade(IC)models,by simulating how one node can activate another, are important tools for studying the dynamics of information spreading in complex networks. However, traditional algorithms for the IC model implementation face significant efficiency bottlenecks when dealing with large-scale networks and multi-round simulations. To settle this problem, this study introduces a GPU-based parallel independent cascade(GPIC)algorithm, featuring an optimized representation of the network data structure and parallel task scheduling strategies.Specifically, for this GPIC algorithm,we propose a network data structure tailored for GPU processing, thereby enhancing the computational efficiency and the scalability of the IC model. In addition,we design a parallel framework that utilizes the full potential of GPU's parallel processing capabilities, thereby augmenting the computational efficiency. The results from our simulation experiments demonstrate that GPIC not only preserves accuracy but also significantly boosts efficiency, achieving a speedup factor of 129 when compared to the baseline IC method. Our experiments also reveal that when using GPIC for the independent cascade simulation,100-200 simulation rounds are sufficient for higher-cost studies, while high precision studies benefit from 500 rounds to ensure reliable results, providing empirical guidance for applying this new algorithm to practical research.
文摘This paper investigates the problem of cluster synchronization of master-slave complex net-works with time-varying delay via linear and adaptive feedback pinning controls. We need not non-delayed and delayed coupling matrices to be symmetric or irreducible. We have the advantages of using adaptive control method to reduce control gain and pinning control technology to reduce cost.By con-structing Lyapunov function, some sufficient synchronization criteria are established. Finally, numerical examples are employed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

文摘This paper investigates China's coal price volatility spreaders(CPVSs)from the supply side to locate the volatility source since coal price volatility may destabilize many downstream products'prices or even bring uncertainties to macroeconomic output.Especially in the carbon neutrality context,China's coal market is being reconstructed and responding to imbalances between supply and demand;identifying the CPVSs helps alleviate rising market instability and prevent energy-induced system risk.To achieve this objective,we explore causalities among 938 weekly coal prices reported by different coal-producing areas of China from 2006.9.4 to 2021.7.12 using the transfer entropy method. Then, coal price volatility influence is quantified to identify the CPVSs by conjointly using complex network theory and a rank aggregation method. The validity test demonstrates that the proposed hybrid method efficiently identifies the CPVSs as it correlates to many price determinants,e.g.,electricity and coal consumption and generation. The empirical results show that causalities among coal prices changed dramatically in 2016,2018,and 2020,affected by coal decapacity and carbon neutrality policies. Before 2018,coal-producing provinces with strong demand for coal and electricity,e.g.,Jiangxi,Chongqing,and Sichuan, were CPVSs;after 2019,those with comparative advantages in coal supply,e.g.,Gansu and Ningxia, were CPVSs.Overall, the coal market is unstable and sensitive to energy policy and external shocks.Policymakers and market participants are recommended to monitor and manage the CPVSs to improve energy security, avoid policy-induced instability and prevent risks caused by coal price fluctuations.

文摘Information spreading has been investigated for many years, but the mechanism of why the information explosively catches on overnight is still under debate. This explosive spreading phenomenon was usually considered driven separately by social reinforcement or higher-order interactions. However, due to the limitations of empirical data and theoretical analysis, how the higher-order network structure affects the explosive information spreading under the role of social reinforcement has not been fully explored. In this work,we propose an information-spreading model by considering the social reinforcement in real and synthetic higher-order networks, describable as hypergraphs.Depending on the average group size(hyperedge cardinality)and node membership(hyperdegree),we observe two different spreading behaviors:(i)The spreading progress is not sensitive to social reinforcement, resulting in the information localized in a small part of nodes;(ii)a strong social reinforcement will promote the large-scale spread of information and induce an explosive transition. Moreover,a large average group size and membership would be beneficial to the appearance of the explosive transition.Further,we display that the heterogeneity of the node membership and group size distributions benefit the information spreading. Finally,we extend the group-based approximate master equations to verify the simulation results. Our findings may help us to comprehend the rapidly information-spreading phenomenon in modern society.

文摘Using complex network methods,we construct undirected and directed heatwave networks to systematically analyze heatwave events over China from 1961 to 2023,exploring their spatiotemporal evolution patterns in different regions. The findings reveal a significant increase in heatwaves since the 2000s,with the average occurrence rising from approximately 3 to 5 times, and their duration increasing from 15 to around 30 days, nearly doubling. An increasing trend of“early onset and late withdrawal”of heatwaves has become more pronounced each year.In particular, eastern regions experience heatwaves that typically start earlier and tend to persist into September, exhibiting greater interannual variability compared to western areas. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Xinjiang are identified as high-frequency heatwave areas.Complex network analysis reveals the dynamics of heatwave propagation, with degree centrality and synchronization distance indicating that the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River,Northeast China, and Xinjiang are key nodes in heatwave spread.Additionally, network divergence analysis shows that Xinjiang acts as a“source”area for heatwaves, exporting heat to surrounding regions, while the central region functions as a major“sink,”receiving more heatwave events.Further analysis from 1994 to 2023 indicates that heatwave events exhibit stronger network centrality and more complex synchronization patterns. These results suggest that complex networks provide a refined framework for depicting the spatiotemporal dynamics of heatwave propagation, offering new avenues for studying their occurrence and development patterns.

文摘Increasing human disturbance and climate change have threatened ecological connectivity and structural stability, especially in semi-arid mountain areas with sparse vegetation and weak hydrological regulation.Large-scale ecological restoration, such as adding ecological sources or corridors,is difficult in such environments and often faces poor operability and high implementation costs in practice.Taking the southern slope of the Qilian Mountains in China as the study area and 2020 as the baseline, this study integrated weighted complex network theory into the"ecological source–resistance surface–corridor"framework to construct a heterogeneous ecological network(EN).Circuit theory was integrated with weighted betweenness to identify critical barrier points for locally differentiated restoration, followed by assessment of the network optimization effects. The results revealed that 494 ecological sources and 1308 ecological corridors were identified in the study area.Fifty-one barrier points with restoration potential were identified along key ecological corridors and locally restored. After optimization, the network gained 11 additional ecological corridors, and the total ecological corridor length increased by approximately 1143 km.Under simulated attacks, the decline rates of maximum connected subgraph(MCS)and network efficiency(Ne)slowed compared with pre-restoration conditions, indicating improved robustness. These findings demonstrate that targeted local restoration can enhance network connectivity and stability while minimizing disturbance to the overall landscape pattern, providing a practical pathway for ecological restoration and sustainable management in semi-arid mountain areas.

文摘This paper investigates a new SEIQR(susceptible–exposed–infected–quarantined–recovered) epidemic model with quarantine mechanism on heterogeneous complex networks. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the correctness of theoretical results and a practice application is proposed to predict and control the spreading of COVID-19.
文摘Duality analysis of time series and complex networks has been a frontier topic during the last several decades.According to some recent approaches in this direction, the intrinsic dynamics of typical nonlinear systems can be better characterized by considering the related nonlinear time series from the perspective of networks science. In this paper, the associated network family of the unified piecewise-linear(PWL)chaotic family, which can bridge the gap of the PWL chaotic Lorenz system and the PWL chaotic Chen system, was firstly constructed and analyzed. We constructed the associated network family via the original and the modified frequency-degree mapping strategy,as well as the classical visibility graph and horizontal visibility graph strategy, after removing the transient states.Typical related network characteristics, including the network fractal dimension,of the associated network family, are computed with changes of single key parameter a.These characteristic vectors of the network are also compared with the largest Lyapunov exponent(LLE)vector of the related original dynamical system. It can be found that, some network characteristics are highly correlated with LLE vector of the original nonlinear system,i.e.,there is an internal consistency between the largest Lyapunov exponents, some typical associated network characteristics, and the related network fractal dimension index.Numerical results show that the modified frequency-degree mapping strategy can demonstrate highest correlation, which means it can behave better to capture the intrinsic characteristics of the unified PWL chaotic family.

文摘Complex network modeling characterizes system relationships and structures, while network visualization enables intuitive analysis and interpretation of these patterns. However, existing network visualization tools exhibit significant limitations in representing attributes of complex networks at various scales, particularly failing to provide advanced visual representations of specific nodes and edges, community affiliation attribution, and global scalability. These limitations substantially impede the intuitive analysis and interpretation of complex network patterns through visual representation. To address these limitations,we propose SFFSlib,a multi-scale network visualization framework incorporating novel methods to highlight attribute representation in diverse network scenarios and optimize structural feature visualization.Notably,we have enhanced the visualization of pivotal details at different scales across diverse network scenarios. The visualization algorithms proposed within SFFSlib were applied to real-world datasets and benchmarked against conventional layout algorithms. The experimental results reveal that SFFSlib significantly enhances the clarity of visualizations across different scales, offering a practical solution for the advancement of network attribute representation and the overall enhancement of visualization quality.
