A new method of storing massive data of block model is proposed to meet the characteristics of the database, including ACID-compliant, concurrency support, data sharing, and efficient access. Each block model is organized by linear octree, stored in LMDB(lightning memory-mapped database). Geological attribute can be queried at any point of 3D space by comparison algorithm of location code and conversion algorithm from address code of geometry space to location code of storage. The performance and robustness of querying geological attribute at 3D spatial region are enhanced greatly by the transformation from 3D to 2D and the method of 2D grid scanning to screen the inner and outer points. Experimental results showed that this method can access the massive data of block model, meeting the database characteristics. The method with LMDB is at least 3 times faster than that with etree, especially when it is used to read. In addition, the larger the amount of data is processed, the more efficient the method would be.展开更多

When the database became large and complex then it is necessary to create a unified model for getting the desired information in the minimum time and to implement the model in a better way. The present paper deals with the modeling for searching of the desired information from a large database by storing the data inside the three dimensional data cubes. A sample case study is considered as a real data related to the ground water and municipal water supply, which contains the data from the various localities of a city. For the demonstration purpose, a sample size is taken as nine but when it becomes very large for number of localities of different cities then it is necessary to store the data inside data cubes. A well known object-oriented Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used to create Unified class and state models. For verification purpose, sample queries are also performed and corresponding results are depicted.展开更多

In order to add transaction features for some NoSQL database systems, many scholars have tried different techniques. Unfortunately, there is a lack of research on Redis’s transaction in the existing literatures. This paper proposes a transaction model for key-value NoSQL databases including Redis to make possible allowing users to access data in the ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability) way, and this model is vividly called the surfing concurrence transaction model. The architecture, important features and implementation principle are described in detail. The key algorithms also were given in the form of pseudo program code, and the performance also was evaluated. With the proposed model, the transactions of Key-Value NoSQL databases can be performed in a lock free and MVCC (Multi-Version Concurrency Control) free manner. This is the result of further research on the related topic, which fills the gap ignored by relevant scholars in this field to make a little contribution to the further development of NoSQL technology.展开更多

A feasible approach to select the “best” data model for an application is to analyze the data which has to be stored in the database. A data model is appropriate for modelling a given task if the information of the application environment can be easily mapped to the data model. Thus, the involved data are analyzed and then object oriented data model appropriate for CAD applications are derived. Based on the reviewed object oriented techniques applied in CAD, object oriented data modelling in CAD is addressed in details. The availability and data...The conception of multilevel security (MLS) is commonly used in the study of data model for secure database. But there are some limitations in the basic MLS model, such as inference channels. The availability and data integrity of the system are seriously constrained by it′s 'No Read Up, No Write Down' property in the basic MLS model. In order to eliminate the covert channels, the polyinstantiation and the cover story are used in the new data model. The read and write rules have been redefined for improving the agility and usability of the system based on the MLS model. All the methods in the improved data model make the system more secure, agile and usable.展开更多
