This paper firstly describes the intrinsic behavior of the transfer function of these basic topologies. Secondly, the channel capacities of the three topologies are compared to check if there is a more favorable topology. Many deterministic modeling methods have been developed to compute the transfer function of power line networks but the given examples in the studies correspond only to the derivation topology with branches connected to the direct path between transceivers. Thirdly, this paper evaluates the ability of common modeling methods (multipath and chain matrices) to compute accurately the transfer function of any topology. Modeling the derivation topology with "secondary" branches and the star topology is shown to be inappropriate with chain matrices based method. Indeed, this method is very sensitive to the uncertainty of the second parameters of the power cables and this induces considerable fading shifts for those topologies. Multipath modeling method produces results agreeing with measurements for any topology. 展开更多

This paper considers the non-line-of-sight(NLOS)vehicle localization problem by using millimeter-wave(MMW)automotive radar.Several preliminary attempts for NLOS vehicle detection are carried out and achieve good results.Firstly,an electromagnetic(EM)wave NLOS multipath propagation model for vehicle scene is established.Subsequently,with the help of available multipath echoes,a complete NLOS vehicle localiza-tion algorithm is proposed.Finally,simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the established EM wave propagation model and the proposed NLOS vehicle localization algorithm. 展开更多

This paper propose a novel noncoherent chaotic com- munication scheme named multiple-input multiple-output correlation-delay-shill- keying (MIMO-CDSK). In this scheme, multiple antennas are employed to strengthen the robustness in transmission, and to get more diversity gain. The bit error rate (BER) of the MIMO-CDSK is studied analytically in AWGN channel model and multipath fading channel model. The theory and simulation results show that, the performance gain can be obtained with multiple antennas allocated in the transmitter and receiver. Moreover, it is observed that MIMO-CDSK system can effectively reduce the multipath interference. 展开更多

Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)multipath channel models are fundamental and critical for signal simulation and receiver performance evaluation.They also aid the designing of suitable multipath error mitigation algorithms when the properties of multipath channel are available.However,there is insufficient existing research on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)signal multipath channel models.In this study,multipath channel statistical models are established on the basis of extensive datasets of the BDS B1I signal.A multipath parameter estimation algorithm is designed to extract information of multipath rays from the intermediate frequency data.The delay,power loss,Doppler fading frequency,and lifetime distribution models for static and dynamic vehicle platforms are established and compared,and the effects of the satellite orbit type and platform speed on the models are analyzed.The results reveal the detailed distribution and variation characteristics of the multipath parameters and are valuable for the development of accurate urban navigation systems. 展开更多
