Objectives:This study was conducted to determine the effect of multidisciplinary nursing intervention(MNI)on interdialytic weight gain(IDWG)and quality of life(QoL)among chronic hemodialysis patients.Materials and Methods:Quantitative research approach with randomized-controlled,single-blind trial was conducted among 120 chronic hemodialysis patients in Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar,Odisha,India from February 2023 to February 2024.Participants were randomly assigned into the experimental group(n1=65)and control group(n2=55)by block randomization methods. The experimental group received the intervention phase up to the 6th week, along with the usual treatment, and the control group received only standard treatment up to the end of the study. After that, they received the diet chart plan and fluid distribution timetable. Results:Significant improvements were found in IDWG and QoL for the experimental group. The experimental group exhibited a sharp decline in weight gain within the group(F=20.05,P<0.001)between the group(F=13.02,P<0.001),interaction effects between the groups across the time point(F=5.67,P<0.005).Kidney disease QoL scores(KDQOL^(TM)36)increased from 49.38±9.56 to 58.63±6.04 in the experimental group, compared to an increase from 50.84±9.25 to 52.04±8.02 in the control group. Conclusion:This trial showed that MNIs significantly reduced IDWG and improved KDQOL^(TM)36 scores, with the experimental group outperforming the control, highlighting the intervention’s effectiveness. 展开更多

Objective:This study aims to explore the role of multidisciplinary collaborative interventions in the early rehabilitation of patients with hemorrhagic stroke and kinesiophobia. Methods:Using a convenience sampling method,100 patients with hemorrhagic stroke and kinesiophobia admitted to the Department of Neurology at Nantong First People’s Hospital between January 2022 and December 2023 were selected as subjects.Fifty patients admitted between January 2022 and January 2023 were assigned to the control group, while 50 patients admitted between February 2023 and December 2023 were assigned to the experimental group. The control group received conventional care, while the experimental group received multidisciplinary collaborative interventions provided by a team consisting of neurologists, rehabilitation therapists, psychological counselors, and nurses. The study evaluated the differences in emotional state(using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale,HAD),kinesiophobia level(using the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia,TSK),functional recovery(using the modified Rankin Scale,mRS),and daily living abilities(using the Barthel Index,BI)before and after intervention. Results:After the intervention, the HAD scores in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The TSK scores in the experimental group were also significantly lower than in the control group(P<0.05),while mRS and BI scores showed significant improvement compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Multidisciplinary collaborative interventions have significant effects in reducing kinesiophobia, promoting functional recovery, and improving the quality of life in patients with hemorrhagic stroke. 展开更多

Objective Contact precautions, especially the initiation of isolation, are important measures to prevent and control multidrug-resistant organisms(MDROs).However, the implementation in clinical practice remains weak. This study aimed to analyze the impact of multidisciplinary collaborative intervention on isolation implementation in multidrug-resistant infection, and determine the factors that affect the implementation of isolation measures. Methods A multidisciplinary collaborative intervention related to isolation was conducted at a teaching tertiary hospital in central China on November 1,2018.The information of 1338 patients with MDRO infection and colonization at 10 months before and after the intervention was collected. Then, the issuance of isolation orders was retrospectively analyzed.Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed to analyze the factors that affected the isolation implementation. Results The overall issuance rate of isolation orders was 61.21%,which increased from 33.12%to 75.88%(P<0.001)after the implementation of the multidisciplinary collaborative intervention. The intervention(P<0.001,OR=0.166)was a promoting factor for the issuance of isolation orders,in addition to the length of stay(P=0.004,OR=0.991),department(P=0.004),and microorganism(P=0.038).Conclusion The isolation implementation remains far lower than policy standards.Multidisciplinary collaborative interventions can effectively improve the compliance to isolation measures implemented by doctors, thereby promoting the standardized management of MDROs,and providing reference for further improving the quality of hospital infection management. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal tumors are a major cause of cancer-related deaths and have become a major public health problem. This study aims to provide a scientific basis for improving clinical treatment effects, quality of life, and prognosis of patients with gastrointestinal tumors.AIM To explore the clinical effect of the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment(MDT)nutrition intervention model on patients with gastrointestinal tumors.METHODS This was a case control study which included patients with gastrointestinal tumors who received radiotherapy at the Department of Oncology between January 2021 and January 2023.Using a random number table,120 patients were randomly divided into MDT and control groups with 60 patients in each group. To analyze the effect of MDT on the nutritional status and quality of life of the patients, the nutritional status and quality of life scores of the patients were measured before and after the treatment.RESULTS Albumin(ALB),transferrin(TRF),hemoglobin(Hb),and total protein(TP)levels significantly decreased after the treatment. The control group had significantly lower ALB,TRF,Hb,and TP levels than the MDT group, and the differences in these levels between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the MDT group had significantly more wellnourished patients than the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life total score, somatic functioning, role functioning, and emotional functioning were higher in the MDT group than in the control group.By contrast, pain, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting scores were lower in the MDT group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION MDT nutritional intervention model effectively improves the nutritional status and quality of life of the patients. The study provides a rigorous theoretical basis for improving the prognosis of cancer patients. In the future,we intend to provide additional treatment methods for improving the quality of life of patients with cancer. 展开更多

Objective: to observe the effect of multidisciplinary cooperative intervention on the recovery of bladder function after radical hysterectomy. Methods: 96 patients with extensive total hysterectomy received in our department from July 2019 to December 2020 were taken as observation objects and divided into two groups. The first group used routine nursing intervention and the second group used multidisciplinary cooperation intervention on the basis of the first group. The nursing effect and bladder dysfunction score of the two groups were compared, with 48 patients in each group. Results: (1) the infection rate of urinary system in the first group was significantly higher than that in the second group. The indwelling time of urinary catheter in the second group was longer than that in the second group. There was a difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). (2) The score of bladder dysfunction before and one month after operation in the first group was higher than that in the second group, with difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: multidisciplinary cooperative intervention is effective for patients with extensive total hysterectomy and is recommended. 展开更多

This review investigates the utilization of pulmonary rehabilitation training among individuals who have undergone surgical treatment for lung cancer, with an emphasis on the underlying theoretical principles, implementation methodologies, clinical results, and future perspectives.Patients recovering from lung cancer surgery frequently encounter a deterioration in pulmonary function, diminished exercise capacity, and a reduced quality of life.As a comprehensive intervention involving multiple disciplines, pulmonary rehabilitation has demonstrated effectiveness in mitigating these challenges. This article methodically evaluates the various elements of pulmonary rehabilitation, the appropriate timing for its initiation, the customization of rehabilitation programs, and its influence on physiological indicators, mental health, and long-term outcomes.Additionally,it addresses the prevailing obstacles within clinical settings and strategies for enhancement, with the goal of offering evidence-based recommendations for healthcare providers and rehabilitation specialists. 展开更多
